I like that you use hand extenders when using the table saw.

Nice build! I love the montage, the kid in the background and the end result!

But I cringed when you ran your finger past the wengé to feel if it was smooth. Wengé splinters are the worst!

I noticed your wiring harnass was built in Belgium, do you happend to be in Belgium?

The main piece is going to be a 5 piece laminate Ripping the stock to size on the table saw Gluing the 5 pieces together Cleaning the glue residues I don't have a surface planer so I'm jointing by hand Contouring the body on the bandsaw Removing the bandsaw marks on the spindle sander Starting to look like a guitar already ! Meow Making the belly carve with a carving gouge is quite relaxing Scraping off the carving gouge's marks Removing the bulk of the material with a forstner bit on the drill press Finished the job with a flush trim bit on the router Cutting the headstock angle on the bandsaw (15°) Removing the bandsaw marks with a hand plane (Stanley n°62, love it) Setting the height of the router table for the truss rod channel The guitar will have a wenge top, so I'm removing some material on the body side of the central piece Marking the headstock thickness (15 mm) Cutting the headstock and neck profile Laying out the details on the fretboard/neck/body transition Removing the excess material on the sides of the fretboard Making it flush with the wings Shaping the neck Shaping the neck profile on the 1st and 12th fret ... and joining the lines Being bullied by my own daughter Carving the neck to body transition Laying out the volute ... and carving it Gluing the fret slotting template (made on Adobe Illustrator) Cutting the fret slots (Hosco fret slotting saw) Her voice is my medicine Marking the fretboard taper Radiusing the freboard (12") with a router radiusing jig Cleaning the fret slots Gluing the ebody binding Cutting the fret tangs Drilling holes for the side dots Resawing the wenge to get a bookmatched top (10mm thick) I still don't have a jointer ... Marking the fretboard recess in the wenge top Marking the guitar contour on the wenge top And cutting it by hand (must have been on a Sunday) Gluing the first half of the top Cutting the F-hole with my little helper (she's blowing the saw dust away) Gluing the second half of the top Carving the arm rest Fret leveling Checking the level with a fret rocker Crowning Rounding the fret ends Polishing Installing the Schaller bridge Routing the pickup cavities Matching wenge cap Tung oil Lollar soapbar P90's Drilling the pot holes Custom 3d printed press fit insert (designed on Fusion 360 for CTS pots) Home made beeswax - linseed oil - turpentine mix Cherry on top: a custom switch tip Thanks for watching!
