So this is my third guitar build (and 6th stringed instrument build),
Lockdown started in March here in Belgium so at the time I started the build I didn't have any wood at home. I dismantled two shelves and they kept me busy until the lumber store opened again in May. I then bought some mahogany and wenge to finish the build !
This was a very challenging build for me since I never built anything like that before, and I don't think I even played or even held an ES 335 in my entire life !
Iβm five minutes into this and Iβm fascinated. How many hours would you say you have in the build?
Wow I thought I sorta knew what I was doing but I learned so much from this! Especially areas in my own builds where I was screwing up - you have some tricks up your sleeve that will help me perfect the next one!
That wood was wasted as a shelf its gorgeous
That was really cool. The only part I was bummed about was when you painted over the headstock. I liked the wood stripes you had going on.
