Before starting to place the guitar picks, I pour a 4 or 5mm epoxy layer I scuff the surface lightly so that the cyanoacrylate and the next casting will grip Now it is a matter of placing the picks one by one gluing them with cyanoacrylate They ended up being about 4,500 The next thing is to encapsulate everything with epoxy resin. While the resin hardens I am going to make the maple neck. I cut the headstock at a 10º angle and leave it at 14mm thickness In order to not to move the headstock during the glue up I'm going to secure it with 2 screws I plane the top face to make it perfectly flat. I'm also leaving one side flat and perpendicular so I can rout the truss rod channel The fingerboard is made of pau ferro wood The scale of the instrument will be 25 " Here I am preparing the headstock plate, it is cocobolo. With a jeweler saw I cut access to the truss rod The fret markers are going to be shaped like guitar picks. I am going to mill the recesses and fill them with epoxy resin and white pearl pigment. Now is the time to glue the fingerboard. The fingerboard needs a 12 "radius, I'll end up sanding up to 12,000 grit for a polished finish. I can now carve the neck, I will use rasps, the spokeshave and the cabinetmaker's scraper as always The side dot markers are made of 2mm diameter white plastic stick, I glue them with cyanoacrylate Now it's time to fret the neck We already have the neck, now it's time to go back to the body. In the end everything went quite well, I thought it was going to be a lot harder. With the angle grinder and a sanding disc I make the belly comfort carve. The next thing I want to do is mill the cavities for the neck, pickup, and electronics. Milling this material was much more complicated than if it were wood The chips were flying everywhere Now what we have to do is sand a lot. The neck is going to receive 5 coats of tru oil The body is going to be different. I am going to sand it up to 2000 grit lubricating with soapy water. Then I will polish it first with medium compound and then fine I'm going to make a Humbucker with a 12Kohm resistance and an alnico 5 magnet It only remains to assemble everything, electronics and the setup The electronics are very simple, a humbucker and a volume knob.
