man waggo dude this car i'm so happy with how this car came out a lot of times when you bring a car from in the booth to outside you see something that you didn't see before this one dude it looks good i don't see any kinds of discoloration i am happy with this one we're going to take a break from this work on something else possibly work on more stuff for that either way dude we're going to get working and now you're watching the possibly hypothetically well definitely 1400 transaction to only fans channel of youtube welcome to bodyvision hey so what's happening thank you so much for joining me on yet another video so i still got the bumpers the bumpers for waggo they are right there we're going to get to those in a little while everything's a little bit crazy going on over here just because i've been dealing with so much stuff i know i mentioned in the last video i'm actually in the process of buying a house and that's taking up a lot of my personal time so i'm super excited fingers crossed for all that we are under contract we have not officially closed yet but you know how it goes so what we got going on right now last night good friend taylor ray text me i've actually had these doors for him in my storage container for a long time these are supposed to be spare doors or they are spare doors his current doors are thrashed so we're just going to get these whipped up real quick and painted to match his car i'm not going to focus on the inside or anything because i am under a time crunch with everything that i have going on and we're probably going to redo the entire car in the near future anyway so i'm not going to waste time energy and effort doing that he's good with that i'm good with that and the clock is good with that so the first thing that i want to do i just got primer down i'm going to scuff this really quickly with a 600 and then we're going to go right into base coat [Music] so for this spicy black and gold flake paint job that we have on taylor's ls miata we need a couple different things so i have bmw jet black base coat i always use bmw jet black i've just seen it's one of the blacker blacks that are out there i know there's some blacker ones but that's just what i use that's what i like bmw jet black and that's what his car was painted previously so i don't have a choice bmw jet black we also have sem mini gold mini gold flakes and in here i just keep a little baby formula scooper thing that's how i like to scoop it this stuff is a mess but it is pretty cool so we need so we have the gold we have the black but to go with the black we need our urethane reducer and then we're going to mix the gold straight with clear coat now you could use a clear binder which is basically just base coat that is clear you could do flakes that way i would recommend doing that if you had a real big job to do with a whole bunch of different layers and you want to stack clear too much i've heard in different reviews about putting flake in the clear coat but that's what i did for his car before and it was completely fine so i'm gonna go ahead and first start off with that black base coat this has a two to one mix ratio meaning two parts base one part reducer let's go ahead and get that mixed up and then get that black spray [Music] all right so the way that i'm spraying what i got it set up i'm gonna be spraying at 14 psi i like it right there some people like it a little more a little less just put yours where you want it so i'm going to be starting from the bottom working my way across this piece onto the next piece and i'll explain a little bit more later [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] so the first coat is nice and light the second coat will also be nice and light but it'll be a lot more coverage just because we already have a nice and black foundation so we'll go ahead and let that dry for about 5-10 minutes and then we'll go forward with our second coat [Music] all right so that black base coat that laid down pretty smoothly black is black is pretty simple self-explanatory there's no metallics in it it's relatively easy so i've got my clear coat mixed up already the clear coat that i use is just dynaco clear pro and it's actually by axo nobel it's really good clear i'm a huge fan of it so that just makes it at a four to one mix me so that just mixes at a four to one mix ratio four parts clear one part hardener so now we have this mixed up now as you can see i don't have a lot in here but i'm going to be using this for my flake layer so what i do is i just take maybe like a half half of a cup full i actually did just about half of that so really it's a quarter of one of these scoopers because i don't have a lot of clear in here really so i don't want it to be too crazy then you can kind of start to see it and that just makes it look kind of awesome powers gold member looking but that's what you want it to look like i don't know if you can tell or see it dancing off the stick now if you have the pps 1.0 or the pps 2.0 that's the type of cup system that i'm using what i like to do when i'm doing flake i know this is a little bit crazy but it's just what i like to do and that's what's so cool about painting there's no right or wrong way to do a lot of this stuff if you're just messing around i know there's a lot of you guys out there that have been doing this for 30 years you do you want to do what i'm doing so what i like to do is i like to cut that screen out [Applause] just take that screen out of there that way the flakes don't get all clogged up and that's all i do so that way this can get into the cup the flakes can get in there if the flakes will have no problem coming out the tip of this gun i believe i have a 1.4 fluid tip and these micro flakes i've never had an issue if you're spraying a standard flake you're going to have to get a larger fluid tip in order to do that if you don't want to deal with all that just go with the micro flakes this is micro gold they make all kinds of micro flakes for you to utilize so got this mixed up that's how that looks looks really good really cool a little bit crazy i'm happy with that so let's go ahead and spray this down now i just need to try to visually remember how it looked when i sprayed taylor's car the last time i might not get it exactly perfect but for a drift car and for taylor it'll be solid and skin [Music] so [Music] i think i look pretty good according to what i can remember and now unfortunately the rest of this just has to be thrown away so with the flake if you can notice even though it is a clear coat i'm spraying it like it is a base coat i'm not going super thick we're just worried about coverage and about the amount of flakes that are on there when i go to do the actual clear clip that's when i'm going to stack it on there really good really thick and have a nice wet coat starting from the top going all the way that way and finishing off over there because the air is flowing this way dust is going to be going that way so i don't want to have that one freshly painted then paint this one all the over spray from that one is going to go on that one that's just something that i got to think about so right now it doesn't look phenomenal but it's not done yet hopefully after the clear goes on that's when it'll come around and i've done this before [Music] [Music] [Music] so let me know what you think dude that looks good [Music] [Applause] [Music] dude for just a drift car i think these doors turned out really solid i'm happy with them they look just how i remember the other ones looking i think that would be good that'll be good for taylor it'll be good for what we're doing and it was cool and fun to get into this see something like this and the joy of painting or part of the joys that i see in painting is there is no right or wrong way to do something when you're kind of just getting creative this is just a way and a procedure that i came up with to do his entire car i'm sure it's been done before but for me to replicate it is really cool really fun and it's a little bit different and it's a lot less stressful because how it comes out at the end of the day being just a drift car it doesn't really matter it's not a concourse restoration it's just we're just having fun we're just painting i'm making videos i'm having a good time i'm at the shop that's what i love doing that's what i am doing and this was a cool fun little quick video little change of pace little change of pace we're going to get back to work on waggo very shortly and it was cool to make this so thank you guys so much for watching let me know if you have any further questions like this video comment subscribe do all the stuff you know it is youtube i will see you on the next one i'm out
