Curateur | Summer 2021

hey everyone welcome to my channel so today i am going to be unboxing the curator box for summer 2021. now if you are unfamiliar with curator it was previously known as the rachel zoe box of style in case you're confused i rebranded as curator which i like the name a lot better and this is a quarterly subscription where you get fashion and some lifestyle items sent to you each quarter um the box itself is pricier because it does have designer type products inside so this box is 99.99 a quarter i personally pay for this box myself and if you sign up annually it is cheaper i think it's like 10 cheaper a quarter or maybe even less than that so um you can sign up annually as well now right now the summer box itself has sold out i just now got mine um but they do have welcome boxes that you can sign up for and i think they have a sale or something like that where you can get them for like 25 i'll leave links down below in case you are interested in signing up but if you're new to my channel welcome i do lots of different subscription box unboxing videos here so if you're a sub box lover like me go ahead and subscribe and let's jump in the box when you open it up this is what it looks like so it says curator welcome to a life well curated and then on top it does have the pamphlet so this is um curated by rachel zoe and her team so you usually get fashion related items um and then also some like beauty and kind of sometimes hair care type of products i think there's a jewelry piece in this one so it's always super fun to get and the magazine is really really pretty so she has a note i'm not going to read the whole thing but it says summer has always been the season for making memories and indulging in the little moments for me it's also the time for longer days warmer nights and of course sun kissed skin it is a time to slow down and have endless quality time with friends and loved ones after the most challenging year i feel like it is even more important to take time to enjoy life it's to its fullest um so that's really nice i am really excited to get into this box i'm the jewelry piece is what i'm really excited about all right but before we get to the jewelry piece this is the very first thing on top let me get it out of the packaging all right and there were products inside of the bag so i just took them out but this is the rachel zoe capri tote which retails for 105 i like the material it's like a little bit rough which i actually like i think it's really pretty with the black accents this is like beachy but like sexy beachy if that makes sense i am the worst at describing things um but it has i'm guessing this is pleather it doesn't mention anything but so i'm gonna assume that this is pleather it does have like a gold snap at the top that you can snap it closed on no exterior pockets this is like the width and breadth of the bottom of the bag so you can fit tons of stuff in here then on the inside there are pockets and this is going to be kind of hard to show because the black interior always makes it hard but there are two like cell phone type pockets maybe pens or cell phones and then on the other side there is a zip pocket with a gold tassel not tassel but like pull tab there and then it's just open i actually really like this i feel like we have gotten tons of tote bags and subscription boxes but this is like tote bag meets purse it's like an elevated version of a tote bag so i think this actually be really really cute if you want to just look a little bit more classy when you're carrying a bunch of stuff around now the color does make it so that you can probably get it dirty pretty quickly or easily so they do show the model with it on the beach i'm not sure the beach is the place for this bag unless you're gonna like not put it on the sand um especially since it retails for 105 but i actually i actually really like the bag sometimes i'm picky about bags but actually this like fits my vibe and the handles they are like pipes like they're sturdy they're not like they're i don't know i they feel really nice in the hand all right now we got the jewelry because this was inside the back i'm really excited about this and it comes in a little lavender like tote bag which is really cute now the only thing is for the other products they're listing the retail value and on this they're not least listing the retail value and maybe i'm looking in the wrong place so i'm not 100 sure how much this specifically costs but this is the necklace i love it you guys know i love any gold necklace i love this is chunky or then i was expecting in the best way possible um and then it kind of has like a moon and stars on it which i love that i have some moon and star earrings it'd be really cute with this um let's put this on oh that is cute i don't know if i might wear it up higher on this or this is probably not the best shirt for this necklace but you can layer i actually have another gold necklace on it's very thin um so i don't know i would not probably wear these two together but this is like perfect for you can wear it on its own or i feel like you can definitely layer this with multiple different necklaces uh because i just love the layered chain necklace look that is so cute um they show them here wearing them with like a bathing suit i feel like this type of necklace is better if you do kind of have like a neckline that's open or can work on a shirt like this if you're gonna like layer them up and make them chunky which is i don't know if she's wearing this necklace i don't think she's wearing the necklace but she has like a bunch of necklaces um there so this is by melinda maria yes this is by melinda maria and i don't know i guess this was made i'm not sure if this was made exclusively for rachel's a box boxing style but this is their star lariat necklace and i love it i think it's so pretty and i'm probably going to get a lot of use out of this this is like when i saw this i knew i'm like i am really excited about the necklace so i really i really like the jewelry we get in rachel's boxes style most of the time and this is no exception oh the next thing out is from marc jacobs and this is their recover hydrating coconut lip oil for 29. y'all know i love a good lip oil lip balm and this one it looks really really pretty i don't do i don't think i've owned a marc jacobs lip balm i think we got a mark jacob's lip product in the past but not a lip oil oh that is stunning i have lipstick on right now so i'm not going to put the oil on but i do want to see if it has a scent or anything oh i just got that right on my nose so that's great for me it smells like delicious coconut and it does have that kind of the applicator that holds product in the middle i don't know what type of app i don't is there a name for that it's like doe foot but it has that i know smashbox started doing that where they had like the line in the middle so you can catch more product but um very very excited about this and this is just like the packaging is stunning i don't really go out and buy marc jacobs very often so it's always fun like this box is definitely a treat like it costs a lot of money but you're getting like nice designer products that i wouldn't go out and buy on my own i mean this is 29 which i guess isn't the worst thing in the world but very excited all right then next was the choice item so there was a choice and i chose the um talum caftan which retailed for 198. or there was also a cozumel towel for 110. so let me show the towel really quick oops that is what the towel looks like i thought it was really pretty i just didn't don't need i have a lot of towels and i just didn't need another towel and i felt like this captain was really really cute all right so this was like a one-size-fits-all caftan and it actually looks really cute i'll throw it over in a second it's actually looks huge so i do feel like for one size fits all that's it's pretty big that's not even me opening it so i think that it definitely will fit a lot of different body types because it is so big and of course with the caftan you can wear it a little bit looser i'm gonna throw it over my shirt now obviously this is probably more designed to be thrown over a bathing suit and i don't have a lot of cute cover-ups anymore so i figured this would be a cute thing to get i don't know if i'll go to the pool or whatever this summer because who knows i gotta get my body back in shape but this is what it looks like oh wait this is actually really cute um this is a really cute cover up it has a little tie here or you could just you know and it is like actual like caftan like it has the like you know but i think the print is cute and tropical um and you could definitely pair this like with an outfit and stuff i do feel like we've gotten a fair amount of like caftan like clothing items or like things like this in the rachels box of style because it's easier to have it fit more body types if that makes sense it's hard to do clothing and subscription boxes like this because that aren't like a stitch fix or whatever because everybody fits things differently but this is what the models look like in it since i didn't do a full length but i do think it's really really pretty so if i go to the beach i now have something to wear and then last but not least we have a product from one kind and this is their golden state nourishing facial oil which retails for 45 dollars um it has carrot seed and rosehip i'll open it up i'm not sure if i'm gonna keep this um i cannot use facial oils in the summer because i have really oily skin and i have to just be so careful with oils when it gets warm out but this is really pretty it's a very very pretty bottle i think if you have dry skin this will probably work for you i'll probably save this more for the winter when my skin can handle more oil-based products but it is a very very cute bottle you could always just stick it up for decoration not that that really helps now i will say this is a very liquidy oil more water-based it seems which might work a little bit better but again like i said i have to be very careful about oils in the summer um so i might save this more towards the winter time all right so that was everything in the rachel zoe box of style for summer again like i said you can't get this box anymore you could just get a welcome box um what do i think of this box i i feel like i am a fan of everything except for the oil because the oil is just not something i see myself using a lot i'm like not excited about it because i'll never finish that bottle probably even if i do use some so i'll probably put that in a giveaway so that's the only thing i don't really care for um i'll be honest that i don't know how often i'll wear this like i chose it because i wanted it over the blanket but it's not it's okay but the necklace the lip gloss in the bag i really really do like a lot so definitely let me know your thoughts down in the comments below everybody obviously has a different style and likes different things so they may love or hate products
