okay here is another video about using drum maps from midi remap.com to improve your workflow when it comes to programming drums so after i already did tutorial videos on how to do this in studio one and reaper i managed to download and install cubase for the purpose of this video and i want to show you how it works i have a get good drums library loaded up in contact right here it's one kit one mode in fusion and i have programmed a basic drum part using the piano roll [Music] okay this works and it's okay but it's not i mean cubase currently currently still the daw with the most incredible tools when it comes to programming drums so you shouldn't use the piano roll for programming drums if you're a cubase user here's what you need to do if you click on your track on the left side you can see a point where it says draw maps and you can see that currently there's no drum uploaded but if i go to drum map settings sorry my dws in german in this case you can see that there's the possibility to load drum maps so what you need to do is you go to mediareadmap.com click download drum maps search for the kick you're using in this case it's getting drums one kit wonder and download the cubase file you then go back to cubase click functions load select your downloaded file and there you go you now have a perfect drum map for cubase for the selected get good drums library so let's close this and now on your track select drum app get good drums one kit wonder and kubis will now see that you're trying to program drums and instead of piano notes you're seeing those little diamonds and if you double click that you now have a way better view for programming drums and on the left side you have all the names for the parts of the of the kick for example the kick is here and the floor tom is here it's currently ordered by name and that makes programming drums way easier of course you could also create those um those drum apps manually if you prefer that but if you're using a lot of drum libraries or you're just lazy just go to medium.com and download them um yeah that's it thank you for watching
