Creating Bookmarks in PDF

in this video I'm going to show you how to create bookmarks in a PDF document to make it easier to navigate on a tablet so we're going to open the PDF that has all the handouts combined and we're going to start with tab 1 so this is the file under tab 1 so we're going to go to that one in our combined PDF there we go now we're going to click the bookmark button you're going to get a bookmarks sidebar and click the new bookmark button and then this one tab 1 and right away will create another one for core competencies so after you make this core competencies bookmark click on the little ribbon hold the button down and pull it underneath tab 1 until it becomes a sub bookmark of tab 1 the reason behind that there can be multiple documents or handouts underneath each tab and so when you're on the tablet you'll click tab 1 and then all the handouts underneath it will be listed so let's go ahead and go to tab to scroll to that document here we go and hit the new bookmark name it tab 2 and create another one and name it manual again hold the new bookmark and pull it underneath tab 2 then release so let's do a handout for tab 2 so let's go to tab 3 and tap 3 is a PowerPoint go to that one here we go create new bookmark Tab 3 and call this one PowerPoint again pull it underneath tab 3 done with that one let's go to Tab 4 key concepts find that one in our document here we go name this one tab for new bookmark under that one key concepts pull that one underneath tap for all right we're going to go to tap five and this one has multiple documents so JV 180 is first scroll down to the JV 180 there's a lot of handouts in this PDF here we go JV 180 click on that one and you bookmark tab 5 new bookmark under that we'll name it JV 180 pull it underneath tab 5 cool let's go to the next one JV 280 here it is JV 280 new bookmark J V 280 pull it underneath tap 5/2 a JV 300 there we go you bookmark J V 300 next is JV 365 here we go you bookmark 365 all right so if you click on each one it'll go to where you put the bookmark at 365 365 core competencies the manual PowerPoint alright and for this one we have a few additional handouts JV 50 which is this one so we'll create a new bookmark additional handouts and you want to pull this one out so it's not under tap five it's just it's a its own tab and within that will do JV fifty and now I'm going to do JV 55 which is this one create you five now it's JB $2.99 here we go JV $2.99 and last one is JB 350 now just to check on them core competencies there we go let's make this bigger manual PowerPoint key concepts JV 180 JV 280 JP 300 365 oh we forgot to pull these under additional handouts there we go there we go okay so here's Jamie 50 JB 55 299 and 350 so this is how you create the bookmarks for the PDFs that are going to go onto the tablet
