hi there this is H garage from sip design in this video we're going to learn how to create an awesome and realistic sun rays in Photoshop I'm very excited so without doing any further let's get started [Music] all right so we're now in force as you can see in this picture we have no Sun right so step number one is to creating the Sun so first we're gonna create a new layer and then we can call it Sun all right now this layer is special change the blending mode to color dodge then double click on the right-hand side of the layer and just turn off transparency shapes layer and then click on OK and let's simply go to the brush tool and just okay go to general brushes and choose the first one soft brown brush make sure the hardness is 0% and you can control the size by using the left and right square brackets so I am decreasing the size little bit because I think this is right make sure that the flow is about five to ten percent so I am changing the flow to five percent okay so now simply paint where you want to add the Sun and make sure that you paint white make sure the foreground color is white now just paint over that area and you will see the slowness appearing gradually so here's the before and here's the after this is more and more realistic son okay so now we have to create the son race and that brings us to step number two and this is creating the son race so create a brand new layer behind the son layer and we can kill this son race all right so now take the brush tool and select this brush under these special effects brushes select the first one and simply I am setting the brush size to about 50 pixels all right so now I'm just start painting on that and gradually increase your brush size [Music] okay so I am doing it very fast for you a cat in this area has to be refined a little bit and this area also alright we have done so now we have to apply a blur to our sun rays and before applying any filter we have to convert the layer into a smart object so right click on the layer and click on convert to smart object so now go to filter blur and then radial blur and set the parameter to zoom say the quality to draft and set the blur amount all the way to high and this is the main thing the blur center as you can see in this image we have to sum in the top area so now I am saying the blur center to a little at the top okay I think this is right so when you are satisfied click on OK and this is applying a radial blur so as you can see our blur Center was absolutely right we are able to make the race absolutely coming from the Sun so now we have to apply radial blur to the sunrays layer a couple times so go to filter again and this is our last filter that we applied set lick on that and click OK [Music] so I think we need to apply the radial blur one more time for the filter and radial blur and click OK ok so now the broken areas are gone and this becomes a fully Sun race so now as you can see our race are very sharp but in real life sunrays are not as sharp as this so this means us to step number three and that is blurring the Sun race using field blur it's a resume out and rat lick on the Sun race layer click on convert to smart object again and this will combine all the radial blurs into one layer so now we again have to apply a filler to this and that is field blur so go to filter blur gallery and field blur now Fiedler allows us to apply different type of blurs in different areas so this is one pointer of field blur we can Center this to the Sun and in the Sun the blur will be zero pixels so now we will create many pointers on our sunrays so just single click on any areas and a pointer will be created there so I'm creating a couple of pointers here and there something like here and one here and two more here so now I think the blur is not so much so I am increasing the blur to 30 pixels okay I think that is making a sense now so now we have to apply 30 pixels blur alter this markers [Music] and there you are so I think in the Sun blur we need like ten pixels blurred on that because it will create more realistic sun rays alright I think this is amazing so once you're satisfied click on OK and as you can see it is applying our field blur to this image and see we are done so this is the way you create sun rays in Photoshop ok so I hope this video helped you and really did subscribe to our channel and ring the bell icon so that you're gonna miss my other videos in the future and thank you so much for watching see you in the next one till then stay cool and blue [Music] you [Music]
