Crappie Fishing - Finding The Right Depth For Your Jig Using A Bobber

good morning folks you know I get a lot of questions about when when crappie are spawning Richard what depth do you like to fish when you're fishing under a quart you know that varies a whole lot it varies so much that throughout my day of fishing fishing under court for spawning crappie I'm constantly moving my court up and down the first thing I do is I try to figure out that depth right off the bat when I'm fishing for in fact by just in your depth I've seen days where adjusting your depth two or three inches deeper or lower in an area where you're starting the kids crappie makes a big difference really it's in critical on how your day is going to go when you move from an area when the fish quits button and you have your depth perfect when you go to a different area past history don't Harley make a difference sometimes it does but if the area is set up in a little different depth of water well going back through the process of shallowing up or deepening up makes a big difference it's something that you as an angler personally has to to to play with and the more you do you will see that it's in critical about catching crappie real sampling I hope you'll enjoy the about 15 years old I bought it from a gentleman had a bunch of them stacked back I bought about 30 of them I have one pound test line rigged up on a Shimano tsamina good little reel with a Shakespeare micro series rod okay little baby jig right here this is a small 1.75 slab tail jig let me show it to you real little with one twenty eighth of an ounce jig this size 8 hook let's see if we can land some crappie this evening the last video were - I've had a hard time it had a hard time really for the last two months with wind it's been that kind of situation last two months but right here it's calm it's pretty calm I'm just going to start on these treetops right here and see what we can do real simple this 1 pound test line is something something I've been playing around with for a while and when I get bit when that little court goes down I can't do anything but real I can't just slam into that fish if I do that it's over the game's over so I have to be real particular about it and I like that it's a challenge matter of fact I would love to hook about a two-pound crappie or better there we go got a lot of stretching that one pound of line so I'm having really and that was a long ways away from the boat but now he's working that hook in his mouth right now as we speak ok let me get away from that tree Oh get back to your wedding there we go getting them away from the cover is the problem with this little 1 pound line I tell you what it's just nail biter we're coming oh hey just won't quit folks that fish is my head hey oh yeah my goodness I'm gonna let you go quick quick he fought me from the beginning to the end now this is uh let me let him go my goodness now I'm gonna throw back in there let the boat drift away from there a little bit right right in there swear that back come from he tangled me up he'd give me a fit some coffee do that I've noticed that some of them fight a lot harder than others of course with one pound test line they're all gonna fight hard but he was extra mean he didn't like that hook in his mouth and old died help me get away from there again wins wanting to blow me right into where the fish he is does that ever happen to y'all I'll try to get a South Sun right here I'm having a feeling big for you I try to get them away from the cover I really don't have a choice in the matter get them out here in open water where I'm fighting them down this is a good fish right here it's real good fish Wow get back here and deal with my gained a little line Oh me me me me me this has got to be the ultimate this is it right here sporty as you get there we go he opened his mouth just right purge fish he's Gunners will like fish or real brawl cows are big real big goodbye I got them to figure it out right here right at the edge where I see that shallow water and the beat right on the little brake line right there hey but we're gonna throw right back in there again let it come right down that edge I'm out here now then I may have discovered a way to catch y'all he's got a good hook any but I gotta keep him away from this cover right here can't control cannot this is the ultimate right here that's a big crappie to challenge and I'm getting more I love it that's a big fish right there you sure I mean it just is it's a big crappie come on hey I got you look at look at there oh god I love this stuff that is a big one yep there it is there's a telltale sign get it to hell saying when he changed angles that little line looped around right through here and cut that tail little bitty jig little bitty hook little bitty line and a lot of fun let me let me go folks is the funnest part of so let's let him go go back they're going back in May that was about probably a two-pound crappie one pound line that was a lot of fun I'm gonna get this mess out right here and retie man on down just little ol Bowl we you don't want to do that little low Elmer you just don't know what to do didn't decide to fight to my god even learn he's fighting I was fixing to say this is a little bitty cropping folks but it's not nerdy let me eat him out off the cover anymore out here Wow doc tunisians Baker is a big crappie I mean is he huge crappie but I thought we had bigger than that Wow combination of the wind and the crappie and the 1 pound line it's making me have a fit I'm enjoying it though I can't tell y'all how much I enjoy this oh yeah wow what a perfect come here yeah well check every chef crop Amy fish heavy fish I'm hungry tie my knot and I'm gonna get position right back again what I'm doing is getting in front what right there with my rod tip is I'm getting right in front of there and paralleling the bank there's a sandy spot that comes out then all of a sudden it the water turns dark and there's a sudden drop-off and there's some little cover like little tweaks and stuff like that well that's what these crappie are relating to and there's some big ones in there now I don't know if there's another bite in there or not but every time I get a bite in there it's a baby I don't know if I couldn't pay a man there we go Oh me oh I'm in trouble I'm in a lot of trouble they're coming loose they would no way I could as far as trying to the horse that fish out there there's no way can't be done come on get out the boat might as well face it you think I'm gonna eat you don't you why would I do that I got a lot I got planning of y'all in the frigerator there are in Fraser look that Sun hitting that home but let's get back in there they're hot right now I cannot bring that little jig over the top of that they can't stand that slab tails they can't stand that whoopty whoopty woo oh my my my my my man get over that get all over that log our fish and it's got me stuttered mmm-hmm nothing like it nothing like it yeah there you go a big female let's let her back she was double hooked and get my forceps I can't tear her mouth of this let her go she'll have a soul mouth I tell y'all want folks
