COW CHARGES AFTER VERY DISTRESSING CALVING !

finishing the edit of this video and kate has a bit of a traumatic carving you'll see in the video the calf's there and i go near it filming and she kind of gives me a bit of a charge a bit of a bang go away my fault being complacent she's probably not as friendly as harry and minnie are older ones that have carved a few times a bit of a bad carving and she tells me to go i just thought i want to keep it in and show people don't do what i do hopefully someone younger older same age whatever can learn from my mistakes and just kind of back off and it could teach someone else because there are too many accidents in farming this could have been a lot worse than it was just he may have a little bit of a laugh afterwards i think it was my shock and i was shocked afterwards two minutes later we have a conversation okay that could be a lot worse hopefully someone else can learn from it should have left it a good half an hour an hour they do know me really well but probably just not as carving oh i'm running around finding my gopro and i want to get it on camera this is gonna be the challenge of the day so i packed my camera hopefully we're gonna see it i will camp out for 12 hours if i have to so we moved the two in front of the paddock on sunday night today's tuesday this is my nephew this is henry look at that can you see it he's showing back so i have my long lens camera as well so hopefully we'll be able to film it that is if everything goes that's planned [Applause] everyone's here today my sister with her child my nephew not my mother waving kate has gone to corner i was actually really surprised she stayed here i bet she would have carved here if there wasn't so much commotion but snowballer i'm going to try and get my long lens when she gets carving we'll get the camera on we'll see it but this is amazing i've always wanted to get a film of highly carving into a cow carpet again if we get it this will be of course obviously bruno's i'm gonna feed okay it's looking real uncomfortable gotta be so first off and again it's neptune or old bull coming out he's really getting on with it this is this is amazing this is just awesome is it so cool what's happening hopefully everything goes well slight issue kate has decided to carve right up to the fence and a back end she'll be pushing against the fence so it won't come out it won't work like that there we go so i just got her up if i walk in here we're up i'm gonna walk off there we go thank you wait so we've been riding around for a while he's not getting on with it i'm trying to have a look i think it's all coming the right way just struggling to carve it [Applause] so we're going to put them in the paddock in front of the shop it's got a bigger gate and somewhere where we can trap it she's not getting on with it didn't like me for these tags don't get kicked two legs head feet you're right good [Applause] [Music] this is a little bit calmer than that yeah this isn't kicking out i'll be happier okay everything's in the right spot yeah yeah cool look at the aid yeah yep what we're doing with a carbocation is always pull when she pushes it's coming out really nicely whoever you are it looks quite dark to me is alive which is good take it off let go that lego let go let go i'll get it here don't worry about him i've got i know some really big ones there we go right there right there [Applause] i'm not looking look later let him let him bond with it that's feeding this island bruno is having his feed and kate is nursing her cough you cannot get better than that we just decided as a group after about an hour and a quarter i was just a little bit worried what was going on and i felt like felt like it needed help so we just helped it and the main thing is we've got a happy healthy calf there kate seems really happy and chuffed as well all good so worked out my fingers crossed we'll have a cough trying to walk in about 20 minutes [Music] i woke up on the inside i woke up and looked outside and i woke up to a world of sleep and i am wide awake [Music] time okay so we've established some authority here i think we'll leave it to it and we'll see you in the morning that's our cue to go that was close oh yeah she just got my knee it's good she stopped eh yeah so we decided to leave kate and newborn boy alone she seems to be licking it she seems to be really keen on it which is bang on carving well cows well everything seems chilled but working out we'll check her out in the morning so yeah she's getting on amazon six o'clock in the morning and kate is there and our little boy cough he's there as well hey kate hey i got a name for him yet bruno's there a little bit of a lighter color taking a little bit up to kate looks quite good didn't he he seems happy which is great and uh bruno seems happy happy cows happy farmer we'll tag him up things done they have a traumatic time yesterday it's all worked out in the long run which is the main thing [Applause] kate's been a little bit protective and we know how highlands can be if you leave him a couple of days to carve so what we've done is just put kate out what we're calling this calf is jupiter because we're going on the planet theme we've got jupiter's there you want that 12 hours old this car this one's the worst tagger sold it on first and the last job we have to do is just turn it over one two there we go come on so after a completely and utterly traumatic carving yesterday for a highland we don't normally pull highlands at all they normally carve on their own we've got two healthy carbs which is great jupiter is 12 hours old i think just under it's like half seven now and doing really well he's been tagged up do's nuts because we don't want a lot of bulls hanging around because a lot of his sisters around neptune's got a lot of daughters around here and we don't breed on the angus or the highlands like that we're gonna lead them to it kate's obviously been stressing off with the carving we're tagging the carve up but she's been a fantastic mom she did really well yesterday and it's amazing how quickly calves and cows recover after such an event compared towards
