and interactive way we believe in training up a child in the knowledge of christ and on october 1st and 2nd we will host our night with my night event for moms and sons to enjoy the finest entertainment and adventure on october 1st we will welcome all k-4 through third graders for an interactive presentation and an amazing carnival experience on october 2nd the fun continues as we pray that the presence of the lord would fill your heart in your home and that you would recognize that this is the day that the lord has made and we're here to rejoice and be glad in it sing with me god amen can we pray together i must gracious heavenly father we gather in this house today to give you praise and glory for your excellent greatness for every burden that you've carried for every heart that you've healed for every grief that has been relieved from every solution that you have provided we lift our hands toward heaven to praise the god who is the creator of heaven and earth that he is in this place today to bless to restore to heal to unite let the anointing of the holy spirit fill this building and go from this auditorium to the thousands who are watching in america and the nations of the world let god arise and let his enemies be scattered as we rejoice with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory in jesus name we pray and ask it and all of god's children said praise we've got a little different configuration today because we're into a remodeling project and this is what we're going to look like till the month of march and then we're coming out in our new bonnet and it's going to be a wonderful wonderful world until then i'm a little closer to you than i've ever been before brother i can see your chewing gum or if you combed your hair those of you that are watching today i'm continuing the sermon series we began last week entitled knowing god today is the god of hope if there's ever a subject america wants and needs to hear right now it's the god of hope our nation is morally politically and spiritually sick and the only thing that can heal it is the presence of god to invade our churches and invade this nation to restore us to our relationship and i attend cornerstone church growing up i was doing pretty good in high school we moved a couple of places due to my father being in the military but when we by the time we got to mississippi i was in 11th grade and i started hanging out with a bad crowd of people and it started me on my path of destruction i moved to houston texas and over a period of time in my drug addiction it landed me in the texas department of corrections not one time not two times not three times but four times on the fourth time of me going to tdc i uh received a 30 year sentence for a 179 dollar comforter when i finally got out one day it's like really weird about eight months ago it just came god brought it back to memory one day that you said you want to go to corn and stone church and you're only three hours away you can go and so i thought all week long i'm going to cornerstone next sunday i've been coming to this church for three months every sunday from baytown texas and then i heard about the baptismal and i thought oh my god this is really awesome and i wanted to be baptized here at this church so again i came to sunday morning service from houston i drove home i took a nap i changed my clothes ate dinner and got back on the road again and came back to san antonio all in one day getting baptized is one of the most beautiful experiences you could ever have in your life once you come up out of that water and feel the blessings of god on your face you'll feel like a brand new creation in christ if you adhere to his word and what he tells you you will get a humbling experience like no other if you're second guessing being baptized don't do it don't do it because that's nothing but the enemy trying to keep you away from the blessings that god has for you today [Music] what a powerful testimony of god's grace and redemption what a joy what a joy to be able to hear that and share that with you tonight we do have a baptism service it's a celebration service that's going to be taking place next to the praise center if you pulled in the south parking lot this morning you saw us beginning to prepare and we encourage you to come back and be a part of that at 6 30. believe me if my sister can get here from baytown you can get here from across town so that's where i was born what's that banktown yes sir that was goose creek before they merged into baytown that's where i was born well as i have told you as i have told you a thousand times thank you for leaving so we have a wonderful uh opportunity for individuals who want to be a part of the exciting things happening you pastor you have uh often said there's nothing new under the sun and i wanted to show some of our folks some photographs of days gone by when i was a child and this sanctuary was under construction you actually had services in here that were called bring your own seat services that's right this is what they look like i think we have a picture of it if we can put that up maybe that's just us up there right now but anyway they'll go find it there you see these now for those of you who feel like what we're walking through right now is a measure of affliction there was no air conditioning in that building there that's on sand yeah they're sitting in sand there's no concrete floors that's sand how many of you in this service remember that service [Applause] yes so you can testify that there's nothing new under the sun we've done this before we've been here before and the one thing that doesn't change in spite of everything that can change is that the presence of god that was in that room is the same presence of god that's in this room today and i'm thankful for that speaking of things to be thankful for you had quite an honor recently when you were named on a list of the top 50 supporters of israel in the world today the first person on the list was vice president mike pence the second person on the list was pastor john hagee of cornerstone church matt the first time i went to washington was to meet vice president pence about things concerning israel i want to say immediately on national television that in my lifetime we have never had a better president a better vice president than mike pence he's a wonderful man of god and when i went to meet him we went in to see the president and following that i met with the president concerning several issues concerning israel which was the moving of the embassy from tel aviv to jerusalem and eventually uh i went to israel and dedicated that embassy which was a historic and prophetic moment that was a highlight in my life but here is a situation that has happened that i want everyone here and those of you who are watching by television to pay close attention because america has left afghanistan the enemies of israel afghans the radical islamic groups are now uniting like never before to wage war against israel they have an air force left there by the united states of america they have billions of dollars of weapons left there by the united states of america what was done in afghanistan toward our friends in israel is a disgrace to the leadership of this nation an absolute disgrace but because of that i can tell you as certain as my name is john hanke that the people in the middle east right now specifically iran with hamas and hezbollah are going to start a war with israel in the near future hezbollah is a strong military force they have 80 000 trained troops and 150 000 missiles with improved guidance systems that can hit exactly any target in the nation of israel they want to hit i'm telling you that this next war is not going to be a boutique war of 13 14 days it is going to be a war that will launch world war iii and i am asking you to take your prayer journal and put jerusalem in there as a prayer target because david said pray for the peace of jerusalem and because as it goes in jerusalem so shall it go in the world and i ask you if you don't have one of these journals you can have one for free just by contacting the ministry we'll be glad to give you one but you need to have a daily prayer time in your spiritual life to listen to god and get god's direction but god has said pray for jerusalem if there was ever a time to do that it is right now because i assure you that when these attacks happen in israel very likely there will be terrorist attacks in america to to divert our attention away from helping israel israel needs your supernatural prayer for god's protection in the immediate future [Applause] this is the time in our service when we receive our weekly i'm saved [Music] you're my future you're my hope and you're the anger for my soul [Music] i was made for you you're my future you're my home you're [Music] you're my future you're my [Music] home to think for just a moment about those words you're my future you're my hope you're the anchor for my soul in the world that we live in it's a great gift to know that we have a god who has a future plan for us and it's not a temporary one it's an eternal one it's one in which we will have the joy and the privilege of being in his presence forever and forever and forever because of his kingdom there shall be no end now i don't know about you but i'm looking forward to a day when we get to stand around this throne lift our voices and declare that you are the one who was slain from the foundations of the earth and you are worthy worthy worthy to be praised because you have redeemed us and you have called us your own today i want to give him my sacrifice of praise and my heart of thanksgiving and letting him know that he's worthy of all that we could ever be worthy for cause you're my future you're my hope [Applause] [Music] and you're the anger for my soul and i was made for bible is a god of all hope he's a god of mercy he's a god of love he's a god of amazing grace he's a god of wrath who is your god let's consider now knowing verses knowing about god the bible says in ii corinthians 13 5 let a man examine himself to see if he be of the faith do you really know god or are you confusing ritual with righteousness have you confused ceremony with conversion and hype with holiness those who do not use their freedom to defend their freedom will lose their freedom what kind of stand have you taken based on your bible convictions if you take no stand on the tough moral and spiritual crisis in america you do not know god jesus is the lion of judah it's time for christians to act like they're following the lion the bible says the righteous are as bold as the lion that's what you're supposed to be in the world all people believe in something but in whom do you believe who is your god [Applause] will you please stand for the reading of god's word turn with me to romans chapter 15 verse 13. as we continue our sermon series knowing god with this sermon the god of hope if there was ever a time in american history that we needed the god of hope it's right now america's retreat from afghanistan leaving americans behind is an absolute act of treason this is not something americans should expect leaving billions in military equipment to our enemies and negotiating with terrorists is america's greatest defeat in my lifetime the enemies of freedom around the world are dancing for joy because they see us as weak and leaders and open to another 9 11 major attack in this country and believe me that's going to come israel's former ambassador to america ron dermer said the other day quote iran will now be permitted to build a nuclear bomb you know who iran wants that bomb for they've sworn that they're going to kill every jewish person in israel they don't make any bones about it israel have no choice but to defend themselves aggressively general mark milley chairman of the joint chiefs of staff planned to undermine president trump to inform china of any military plans our president might be making to defend america hello congress this is called treason by our constitution will you please do something this week san francisco listen to this we're paying people not to shoot people you want to get up just think about that a minute if you take some of that money and rehire the policeman you fired you wouldn't have that problem america is morally and politically sick our president lies with impunity and is the puppet of a shadow government doing everything it can to destroy life liberty and the pursuit of happiness in this nation americans deserve better than joe biden [Applause] why am i saying this because our hope is not in washington dc our hope is not in our shaky economy or the madness of socialism our hope is in the god of abraham isaac and jacob our hope is in him our hope is in god almighty our hope is in the rock of ages our hope is in the great deliverer the all-powerful all-knowing all-sufficient ever-present god he is higher than the highest he's greater than the greatest he's wiser than the wisest he is our fortress he is our high tower he is our shield he is our buckler he is our provider he is our shepherd he makes us to lie down in green pastures and he restores our soul he is the mighty conqueror let god arise and let his enemies be scattered our hope is in the lord our hope is in the lord our hope is in the lord give him praise in this house read with me romans 15 13 now may the god of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy spirit that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy spirit let's pray father god thank you for the hope that we have in god for the hope for the future for the hope of all hopes is in the god of heaven that we serve this is knowing the lord that we may know him and have the hope that he has given to us in jesus name we pray and all of god's children said praise the lord you may be seated [Applause] hope is god's gift to the believer david writes in psalms 42 5 hope thou in god say that with me hope thou in god jeremiah writes for i know the plans i have for you saith the lord they are plans for your good to give you a future and a hope god almighty put you on this earth with a specific assignment he has something unique for you to do and you're the only one who can do that therefore he has given you the potential and the power to accomplish that you are anointed with the favor of almighty god to accomplish not the impossible dream but your divine assignment hope thou and god hope thou and god say that with me hope thou and god jesus christ is presented in the bible as our blessed hope saint paul presents christ as the hope of glory this is football season have you ever seen a football team get behind and suddenly the defensive half back snags the pass from the opposing quarterback runs the length of the fuel and scores suddenly people who were just bored with a game are screaming their heads off because they have hope that they could possibly win have you ever done that yourself hmm hope produces joy that the world did not give you and the world cannot take it away from you hope produces a song that sings in the midnight hour like paul and silas when they were beaten by a roman cat of ninetales for preaching the gospel of jesus christ hope is faith reaching out in the darkness knowing that the hand of god is reaching back from the other side to reach you we rejoice paul says in romans 5 in the hope of the glory of god paul writes again in romans 12 12 be joyful in hope say that with me be joyful in hope the first recorded promise in the bible is that the seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent and that was the word of hope from god the father to you that satan on the cross would be crushed by jesus christ the seed of the woman his chain satan's chains have been broken he has no authority or control over you you have authority over him you have authority over demon powers you have authority to build your life upon the rock of ages and the cornerstone who is jesus christ upon this rock jesus said have i built my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it gates reflect to government god is saying that the government of satan will not control you why because if you read the scripture closely when christ came from the cross he went into the bowels of the earth and he introduced himself to satan and his goons and he said i am the conqueror from calvary i have just defeated satan at the cross and from this day forward when any one of my children come and in the authority of my name mention my name you obey them you bow before them because you have been defeated and they are victorious give him praise in the house of god the last recorded promise of jesus in revelation 22 20 as i'm coming soon it was a word of hope for the 21st century christians for the 20th cent for the christians of them that were going through trial let me tell you if john the revelator said jesus was coming soon two thousands of years ago i'm going to tell you if you listen closely you can hear the footsteps of messiah shuffling through heaven right now the king is on his way the king is coming he is on his way lift up your heads and rejoice our redemption draweth nigh this mess that we're going through is not our permanent situation we're headed for mansions on high prepared by the architect of the ages won't it be wonderful there hallelujah to the lamb of god give him praise in the house our hope has substance hebrews 11 1 says now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen take away hope and life with all of its fascinating opportunities is reduced to a mere existence without hope life becomes bleak drab joyless and endless treadmill a never-ending pain people without hope sink into depression despair and life has no meaning recently the associated press carried the story of four teenagers who locked themselves in a car and committed suicide with carbon monoxide after writing a note on a brown paper bag asking to be buried together why would four young people living in an affluent neighborhood living in the wealthiest nation in the world choose to kill themselves why is the suicide rate among america's young people running off the church and skyrocketing the answer is they're losing their hope about their future they're losing hope for the future of this country let me say to you if you're watching by television if you have no hope hope in jesus christ because he will never fail you he will never disappoint you he will always be there when you call upon him call upon me and i will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you know not give the lord praise in the house some of you here and millions watching by television or listening by your radio or desperately searching for help hope i have this message from god for you today while what we're going through looks like a horrible mess there is hope for a brighter tomorrow our dreams are based upon this sacred text and they are going to come true there is a hope that is guaranteed by the promises of god a god that has never failed our hope is not wishful thinking our hope is alive our hope is eternal our hope is real our hope is available our hope is powerful our hope will make you laugh in the midst of the storm our hope will give you a song to sing in the darkest night of your life i challenge you get up from the depths of disappointment get up from depression get up from despair and look in the heavens and say my help is in the lord give him praise in this house what is the difference between hope and optimism because some people think they're the same they're not anything close to the same optimism hopes for the best without a guarantee that it's going to arrive optimism is no more than whistling in the dark christian hope is faith based upon the promises of god knowing with absolute assurance that what god has promised to do in the past and has done he will still do today we are covered with the assurance that god answers prayer when he started answering prayer from moses to divide the sea when he answered prayer from for elijah on the mountain and cloven tongues of fire consumed the sacrifice when he was visited in the upper room and the new testament church was born that god can hear your prayer and answer by fire you have awesome power available to you when you open that prayer journal and begin to pray down that list that the anointing of the holy spirit gets a hold of your vision and a hold of the word of god and miracles start to happen [Applause] in our last sermon we covered the prayer that god answers prayer that there is divine healing in prayer and that there is supernatural deliverance speaking of daniel in the lion's den with the three viewed children now let's consider the final battle that every person in this room and every person in this in this listening audience is going to experience and that is the journey that you have with death hebrews 9 27 says it is appointed unto men wants to die and then the judgment and i assure you i assure you every person here is going to die someday the statistical analysis say one out of one always dies it's an appointment that you have coming therefore get ready for it what is your hope what is your hope christian's hope concerning death is a certainty guaranteed by the past performance of god what past performance the resurrection of jesus christ he said because i live you shall also live i am the resurrection and the life and jesus said and he that believeth in me shall never die do you hear that shall never die your last breath here is your first breath there it's just that fast you're in the presence of god [Applause] i have been at the bedside of people who were dying hundreds of occasions and i have seen teenage children who had no theology at all in their last moments on this earth say pastor i see an angel standing at my bed breathe their last breath and with a smile on their face stepped into heaven i assure you god is on the other side of your last breath heaven is on the other side of your last breath [Applause] jesus said to john on the isle of patmos when he was writing the revelation i am he who was dead and behold i am alive forevermore christians are the only people on the earth who have an intelligent reason to look at the future and say the best is yet to be tomorrow is going to be a better day i assure you why because it's god's tomorrow we're getting ready to go to a celebration that is so outstanding paul said the half has not entered the minds of men what god has prepared for his own we're going to a city where roses never fade we're going to a city where the word goodbye has never been used we're going to a city where the cheeks of people have never seen a tear we're going to an eternal celebration when we've been there ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of years the first second has yet to be gone because it will be there forever and forever we're going to a reunion a family reunion that will never end your fathers are there your mothers your brothers your sisters your wives your children they're waiting for us just inside the eastern gate they're singing and shouting the praises of god we're going to mansions prepared by the architect of the ages jesus said in my father's house or many mansions if it were not so i would have told you he is there we're going there get ready the king is coming [Music] when we get there we're going to wear a robe and a crown we're going to sing the song of the redeemed on the sea of glass we're going to sit by the river of life and visit with abraham isaac and jacob how do we know this because the resurrection of jesus christ is that guarantee what god has done in the past he will do in the future he is our blessed hope as you've heard me say before pray up pack up and look up we're going up the king of glory is coming in the twinkling of an eye we are not whistling in the dark it is a guarantee based on the resurrection of jesus christ give the lord praise in the house atheists mock the christian concept of hope because they think it's delusional other professors call it pie in the sky let me tell you say something atheism has never dreamed a dream atheists have never lifted a burden they've never solved a problem they've never healed a broken heart they've never brought joy to a wounded soul they have in their pseudo-intellectual capacities learned to say well i doubt that a donkey can learn that argument in 30 seconds that doesn't make you brilliant atheists spend their lives fighting a god they don't believe exist how stupid is that if you don't believe he exists why you spend your life fighting him atheism is brain dead when it comes to hope atheists like to consider themselves brilliant people the bible says the fool has said in his heart there is no god agnostics oppose hope because they see it as escapism from reality the astoria is told of an agnostic who traveled a thousand miles to visit and interview a great scholar the butler ushered the agnostic scholar into the study of this great and noted christian the agnostic asked the scholar sir i have come a long way to ask you one question i observe by the walls of your library that are filled with books from ceiling to floor i know that you have written many books i know you have traveled the world and have had conversation with the most wisest men in the earth but tell me after years of all of this learning what have you really learned that's worth knowing now that's a good question the great scholar flushed with emotion put both of his hands over the hands of the agnostic and he said my dear sir sir of all the things that i have learned there are two lessons worth knowing the first is that i am a great sinner and the second is that jesus christ is the savior of my soul [Applause] and let me tell you something if you know that in this society you're at the head of the class [Applause] saint paul writes in first corinthians 1 21 the world through wisdom did not know god hear that the world through wisdom did not know god they got so smart they didn't know god solomon writes in proverbs 1 7 the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom men may know some things without knowing the best thing men may treasure rags while throwing away treasure men may know all there is about know about rocks without knowing the rock of ages a man may know about the tides of the sea as isaiah said the wicked are like the troubled sea which never rest and can never know peace a man may know all about lights the light of a million stars the light of the moon the light of the sun without knowing jesus christ who is the light of the world what shall it profit a man if he is a great architect and he doesn't know jesus christ the cornerstone upon which all things are truly built what shall it profit a man if he or she is a great baker but does not know jesus christ who is the bread of life what shall it profit a man if he is the world's greatest investor and he does not know jesus christ the pearl of great price what shall it profit a man if he's the world's greatest astronomer and does not know the star of bethlehem what shall it profit a man if he's a great judge but does not know jesus christ who is the righteous judge what shall it profit a man if he is a great scholar but does not know jesus christ who is the incarnate word who knows all things what shall it profit a man if he's the wisest on earth and lives without hope our hope is in the blessed hope jesus christ it is certain it is unshakable our hope gives a song in the night our hope looks at the coming storm and shouts hallelujah the king is coming hope sees the invisible hope sees the untangia intangible and hope believes the impossible hope looks disaster in the face and shouts hope thou and god yet will i praise him who is the glory and the lifter of my head give him praise in the house of god it's water by the way consider hope when you're surrounded with suffering it's a mystery to me how country western music is so popular when most of it is written about suffering listen to it do you know what you get when you play a country western songs backwards you get your job back you get your house back you get your wife back your truck comes back your dog comes back home always something is coming back no one escapes suffering no one permanently evade suffering so listen closely every person here those watching by television across america and around the world you will experience suffering so severe that you think that you cannot survive another day hope means that you see the outcome you want in the scripture because god's provision is found in his promise get that memory in your mind god's provision is found in his promise you find the promise in this book and you hold on to that promise until the answer comes until the storm ends until you feel peace that surpasses understanding until the joy that is unspeakable and full of glory floods your soul until what you feel here removes the garbage you feel when you listen to fake musical a fake news all day long this is the good news read it and love it in jesus name suffering often causes the loss of hope my family historically has suffered greatly from a disease called cancer i hate cancer my grandfather and father died with cancer my mother had cancer at the age of 69 we prayed for god healed her and she lived to be 99 my daughter tish and my wife donna have suffered from cancer but let me tell you what cancer cannot do sickness and disease cannot shatter the hope that we have in god [Applause] suffering cannot conquer the faith in your soul suffering cannot destroy the peace of god that's in the midst of the storm as a matter of fact sometime in the storm you feel the greatest peace you will ever going to know the peace of god is greater than sickness and disease suffering cannot kill friendships suffering cannot kill courage suffering cannot invade your soul and make you captive i have seen the righteous seeing on their deathbed as they left this earth with joy on their face why because they're going to eternal life it cannot conquer be conquered the spirit of a child of god they have stepped from this veil of tears into the blessed arms of god you're not it cannot take the smile from your face or the song in your heart it cannot take the confidence that god has given you my hope is in the lord the anchor holes the anchor holes the anchor holes give the lord praise in the house of god the bible says greater is he that's in me than he that's within the world nothing is impossible to those that believe the bible says why are you cast down o my soul hope thou and god yet will i praise him the glory and the lifter of my head david writes delight yourself and the lord and he will give you the desires of your heart let me merge two bible concepts for those who are watching who may be suffering from sickness or disease or you have someone in your family there are two concepts or hope that is written down in the promises of god habakkuk 2 2 says write the vision down and make it plain on the tablets for the vision is for an appointed time though it tarries wait for it because it will surely come i challenge you to write your prayer down in your prayer journal and pray about it every day and you watch god perform what he promised to do watch him perform what he promised to do hope the young lady you saw testify today when you have miserably failed god's hope is the greatest who is there among us are watching by television who has never failed the lord i have failed the lord there are days driving home that i say god if i were you i would fire me because things weren't going right i had a plan it's all on neatly a piece of paper this is supposed to happen it's not happening that way and i probably said things that heaven had to erase from my record after a time of confession there's no one here who doesn't know what failure is about success has a thousand fathers but failure is forever an orphan some of you have stopped living because you set by a poison stream of a failed marriage or a failed business deal or the betrayal of a dear friend a dream that became a nightmare there are untold millions who have made a wonderful start in the christian life but somewhere along the road they failed and they gave up and they quit trying and they lost hope because they felt like god was tired of hearing them am i talking to you the greatest tragedy in your life is not to fall down the greatest tragedy in your life is to stay down proverbs says the righteous falls six times yet rises again on the seventh time the greatest disaster is not to fail the greatest disaster is to give up hope hope thou and god yet will i praise him who is the glory and the lifter of my head start achieving again start dreaming again start believing again start over again hope thou in god you can do it because you and god can do it stand to your feet please some of you who are here there's an area in your life that needs a supernatural infusion of hope this morning maybe it's in your health your finances your marriage your family your emotions you're angry you're frustrated you're on the verge of depression you've been betrayed by the dearest on earth or there's a failure in your past that you can't forget somewhere along the dusty road of life you failed miserably you gave up you quit today god wants to give you an infusion of hope that will totally resurrect your dreams for who you can be and what you can accomplish hope thou and god if you're a person in this audience that wants an infusion of god's hope i want you to slip your hand up and i want to have a prayer with you slip it up those of you watching by television extend your hand toward the television screen as we pray this prayer heavenly father in the authority of jesus name i forget those things that are in the past i forget those things and i forgive those things in the past and i forgive those things in the past and today i lift my hands toward heaven and today i lift my hands towards heaven to receive an infusion of hope [Music] let my hope be renewed let my hope be renewed and look toward the heavens and look towards the heavens knowing that the king is coming knowing that the king is that i am a child of god and i'm a child and the race is almost over name in jesus name amen and amen amen give the lord a shout of praise in the house of god come on charge give the lord praise in the house of god bless and glorify his name bless and glorify his name bless his name bless his name amen amen lift your hands for the blessing and now may the lord bless you and may the lord keep you and may the lord make his face to shine upon you and may the lord be gracious unto you and give you his peace may today your life be flooded with hope hope for everything in the future to be divinely orchestrated by god hope that gives you the ability to forget and to bury that which is past refusing to elect to let the mistakes of yesterday control the joy of today because that is forgiven and forgotten in the counsels of god because he is our blessed hope discuss the principles in god's word about god's plan for you to prosper those principles are found in a booklet that pastor and i recently worked on together entitled the power to prosper in week one we discussed one of the principles which was that you will never prosper until you believe it's god's will for you to prosper last week we considered this principle that god owns all of the earth and you have to exchange in kingdom currency which is love for you to receive it today i want to share with you another principle but i also want to let you know that you can get more than 26 principles whenever you go to jhm.org and ask for this resource what i want you to understand is that all of god's wealth this is today's principle all of god's wealth belongs to god's children all of god's wealth belongs to god's children this principle in this latest teaching gives you an understanding about so many of the different scriptures that we read whenever we open up god's word again today i'm sharing with you three principles but you can get the rest of them when you order this latest booklet the power to prosper here's what you find out when you open god's word all of god's wealth belongs to god's children romans 8 and 17 proves it it says and if we are children then we are heirs and joint heirs with christ that's a powerful verse it's a profound bible truth that demonstrates so many things about god's affection towards us one god loves us two he has an all-sufficient grace for us three his abundance his goodness and his mercy are given to us consider the fact based on this verse that because of jesus christ we are now children of god as god's children god's resources are ours but before we go any further with this thought understand this that god's resources cannot be yours until you are his child that means until you receive jesus christ as your savior you have no access to god's prosperity in your life jesus proves it when he said in john 14 6 no man comes to the father except through me whenever you understand what jesus is saying here he's making it very clear that you can call on god all you want by yourself but without jesus you do not receive the promises of god's word jesus stated it so clearly in the scriptures in the new testament that there are two families represented he spoke of one of these families in matthew the sixth chapter the ninth verse when he taught his disciples to pray he said pray this way our father who art in heaven he didn't say my father who is in heaven he said he's our father he was saying if you believe in me you are a part of the family of god but then in john 8 and 44 he discusses another family he said of another group of people you are of your father the devil what's the difference between these two groups it's very simple the difference between these two groups is not how they were raised it's not where they went to church it's what they did with jesus christ did they accept him or did they reject him in the first week that we were discussing god's principles of prosperity we made it very clear that you had to accept the word of god that you had to believe it and you had to obey it that you had to hear it and that you had to do it when you read the gospel of john the first chapter there is no distinction between the word of god and the flesh of jesus christ as a matter of fact it says and the word became flesh and dwelt among us now in john chapter 1 and verse 12 we read these words it says as many as received him to them he gave the right that means the authority in many translations it says to them he gave the power to become children of god to those who believe in his name if you haven't received him then god's promises of prosperity cannot be yours god would have to go back on his word if he included you in these promises but if you have received jesus christ then god's prosperity belongs to you if you are willing to engage and exercise it in your life what does god's prosperity include again not our perspective which is a one-dimensional financial perspective but god's prosperity includes spiritual blessings blessings like peace peace that surpasses all understanding have you ever seen someone that in the midst of total chaos just seems to have a sense of peace joy joy that makes rich and adds no sorrow joy that is your strength that's one of my favorite verses in all of the bible the joy of the lord is my strength it lets you know where you can expect your power to come from not from any circumstance but from the joy of the lord that is based on god's presence in your life how is god's presence in your life god's presence is in your life through jesus christ who dwells in you confidence where do you get confidence from romans chapter 8 very clearly says seeing that he has not withheld his own son how will he not with him give us all things then paul says these words if god be for us who can be against us if you know of a more confident verse in all of scripture i invite you to share it with me consider the physical blessings that come from god's prosperity proverbs this word shall bring health to your navel and moral to your bones i like the verse in isaiah chapter 40 verse 31 it says they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up on wings like eagles they shall run and not grow weary they shall walk and not faint now let's just consider those things for a few moments they that wait upon the lord some people want to suggest that waiting upon the lord means that you're patient and i think that there are certain times that we must be patient on god but i also believe that this verse tells us from another perspective about individuals who wait in service upon the lord much like a waiter at a restaurant individuals who are engaged in that kingdom currency we spoke about loving the lord their god with all of their heart soul mind and body loving their neighbor as their self it says that god will renew your strength those are physical blessings i can't tell you how many times i have seen god renew my father's strength because what dad was about to go do was for the kingdom of god it's literally a fulfillment of the next verse they shall mount up on wings like eagles now you can discuss this with individuals who are experts in zoology and you can talk to individuals who engage in the art of falconry and what they'll tell you is that once a year eagles shed all of their feathers and grow new ones which means that every year the eagle renews his strength he's not flying with 14 year old feathers he may be a fourteen-year-old bird but he's got brand new feathers so whenever the bible says that they shall mount up on wings like eagles it says no matter how many times you have to engage every time you do engage you're going to be rejuvenated they shall run and not grow weary now i don't know about you but if there's ever a description of supernatural strength it's anyone who can run and not be weary then it says they'll walk and not faint to me that speaks of god's promise to longevity look at pastor hagee again 62 plus years serving the lord how has he done it he's done it because in service to the kingdom god has kept his promise he would walk and not grow weary these promises though they don't belong to everyone they only belong to those who call christ savior and lord and who are counted as children of the most high god the god of abraham isaac and jacob look again at what romans 8 and 17 says it says if we are children then heirs and joint heirs with jesus christ now understand what it means to be joint heirs most people consider their estate or their wealth as something that is going to be divided equally amongst their heirs if you have four children it's going to be divided four ways if you have two children it's going to be divided two ways well in the biblical times the elder brother the oldest in the family traditionally received half of the estate and the other half of the estate was divided then equally amongst the children this is why the elder brother was always to receive the birthright he was going to get 50 of everything the other 50 was divided amongst however many other children there were left not so according to romans 8 and 17 in our situation we don't get half the estate we are joint heirs joint heirs means that the entire estate goes to the children and they rule it together that means everything that jesus has been given he is giving to those who believe in him jesus has been given power he's been given power over powers and principalities and he gave it to those who believe in him he said in his gospels what you bind i'll bind what you lose i'll lose and i will give you the keys to the kingdom if you have keys you have authority not only do you have authority but you have access where did these keys come from these keys came from jesus christ who is jesus christ when you read philippians 2 it says god has highly exalted him and given him the name that is above every name he told us in john's gospel whatsoever you ask the father in my name he god will do it when jesus went to the house of jairus and jairus asked him to pray for his daughter who was dead he said all power in heaven and earth belongs to me and he gave that power to you and i again according to john chapter 1 when it says to those who believed in him to them he gave power he gave the right he gave authority to become children of god that is an absolutely awesome thought that you and i by faith can believe that today we have the power to receive all of the promises of heaven because it gives every child of god unlimited access to accomplish god's will in our life with god's resources for every good work that god wants us to do now that's a very qualified statement and it's based on second corinthians nine and eight second corinthians 9 and 8 is a verse that is laden with god's abundance it says and god is able that's one of my favorite phrases in all of scripture and god is able if you ever need to encourage yourself just repeat those words god is able in this particular verse it says god is able to make all grace abound towards you that's not some grace that's all grace how is he able to make grace abound towards you through jesus christ that you always have all sufficiency in all things so that's three alls all grace all sufficiency in all things through jesus christ you are able to receive the sufficiency to be the person that he wants you to be have you ever been felt like god wants you to do more than you're capable of it's true but he's going to give you the grace to be who he wants you to be if you'll put your trust in him he'll give you the sufficiency to be the spouse the husband the wife that he wants you to be if you put your trust in him he'll give you the sufficiency to be the parent that he wants you to be if you'll put your trust in him he'll give you the sufficiency to do what he wants you to do if you will put your trust in him that's what this verse says always having all sufficiency in all things that you may have abundance now abundance is not enough abundance is more than enough for every good work what's the message when you are a child of god and you are doing what he wants you to do there is never going to be a moment of lack there's never going to be a time of need there's never going to be a want because when you have god's power inside of you you can accomplish what he wants you to accomplish without any form of insufficiency that's why the bible says my god shall supply all of my needs according to his riches in glory now notice my god does not supply my wants my god supplies my needs and when he recognizes that as his child i have a need he showers down upon me blessings prosperity that i cannot contain i want you to know all of these promises are yes and they are amen in jesus christ and they are yours today if you have received him and if you haven't received him it is simply done as giving your heart to him with this simple prayer lord jesus christ come into my life today be my savior forgive me of sin as i choose to live for you i pray that you would give me the strength to be a child of god that i may have sufficiency for every good work in jesus name if you prayed that
