[Music] hey welcome back to another episode of my way his way or the highway check this out I'm Amy I'm Pat Neely and we on the grilling TV network now check this out hey Pat I'm doing a creole cornbread and that's what I'm bringing to the game brother that's fire but I got some even higher I'm doing a broccoli cheddar cornbread y'all that's gonna be knockout I hope she ready to go to the dance that's all I got to say okay so you guys know what we're doing hey you know what this would be a good time for you guys to just go ahead and like this video smash that subscribe and don't forget to ring that Bell to get any notification every time we drop anything that's fired like these recipes right so look I'm gonna go ahead and make some room right now because I see Pat he got some I don't know what you got going on down there Pat I'm gonna go ahead and work on my uh my hella hey I got a friend his name is uh Kenneth Temple he called these jalapenos I'm gonna go ahead you know I'm from Cali you know half Spanish half everything else right so I'm just gonna go call it what it is jalapeno so I'm gonna go ahead and work with this and Pat I'm gonna turn it over to you so you can go ahead and do whatever that cooking I don't know what you're gonna do in that Skillet yeah brother just stay with me stay with me stay with me my brother over there is flat out throwing down he said it's Cajun I see the jalapeno knows but I got something to look I didn't say Cajun I see it Creole Creole there you go sorry y'all it's Creole it's not Cajun what these days he gonna tell me the difference any of that I got to get rolling so look mine is a little bit different so I got some butter that's going right into my Skillet and I said broccoli cheddar cornbread that's exactly what I meant so I'm gonna give you my ingredients real quick it's a little bit different a lot of things that AB has got my I got my broccoli here I used a frozen broccoli that's thawed milk eggs salt cottage cheese you can get your store-bought cornbread mix got my shredded cheese onions I've already uh chopped up and some garlic so baby we're about ready to roll we just want to get this butter honey not to really like buddy yeah brother looking at your ingredients and you know I'm over here you know prepping and yeah listening to everything you've seen yeah you almost got the same I know I know hey but this one right here was uh that was a level up the brightness I could actually add that broth and I don't have jalapenos hey so what I'm doing right now just cleaning up the membrane I know you like yours hot I went in and took that in DC to everything you know what I mean uh not to get in nobody's way but I think I'm gonna just take this and go ahead and just start cutting this down I got you brother a b have you ever seen cornbread where you sauteing onions I got something for you brother I got some for you it's like me and you can't never just really cook in the kitchen without somebody trying to bring something over the top right I mean right I got you so I got my I got my onions in I'm gonna grab my brother's black pepper y'all I just love working in the kitchen with him because we come up with some amazing recipes um his way my way to Highway a lot of times after we cook then I'm ready to go his way and sometimes he's ready to go my way that's an understatement all right guys so the onions they're becoming fragrant they're becoming soft so the next step and I always add my garlic a little bit later because and I'm just going to take this broccoli and I'm just going to real quickly and you want frozen broccoli that has been thawed and I'm just going to give it a rough chop not much just I don't want these big old pieces in here you could buy the uh maybe the florets but these are whole I feel like you're trying to show out man I ain't trying to show out dude I just this is an old recipe as a matter of fact it would be yeah so look this is what I'm gonna tell you from from one Chef to another yeah I see what you did because nobody ever pushed a garlic on you know in that early right you put your garlic on top it ain't bad I got you it ain't buying it bro you know you know you know I know how to go I see you you you you the man and you know what you're doing yeah just gotta help you just did I get lucky yeah he bought a hey nah I know I know what I'm working with yeah and I know who I'm working with yeah you do yeah you do y'all I mean y'all get to see some of the uh his way my way here highway but we always throwing down in the kitchen me and ab be flat out throwing down and either way you can get home on this highway okay so Pat I'm glad you didn't hog up all of the camera time and all of that you you finally let me get something here right so look I'm gonna go ahead and explain mine like this so I won't be so long-winded right so listen oh you know what now be a great time for me to show you listen the full ingredient list will be down in the description box below so you'll see Creole cornbread the ingredient list you'll see broccoli cheddar uh cornbread you know I mean I'm gonna put Pat's name under there so you guys get a chance to look you guys can make these put these out and have your guests figure out which one they like the best right with that being said look now check this out look I got two bowls here this is real real simple y'all we gotta have a wet station and then we got to have a dry station right so when you go and look down in the description box and you get your ingredients I measure out everything so this is dry onion they dice that's dry all of this is dry egg obviously wet oil milk cream style corn oh and then don't forget we got this over here right so if we keep all this together it's almost like a dump and go dry goes here wet goes there then we combine we add cheese later and that's it now Pat I see right now you're getting a little antsy or something I know I know somebody's going to call you or do something so I'm gonna say going over there check him out you know she was having it and then what I'm gonna do is I'm getting ready to start doing some of this over here start mixing up foreign I hate to sound just like my brother but I'm getting ready to do the same thing I got my dry ingredients here the only difference is y'all you know when you get to be my age you kind of learn uh how to do it a little easier I'm going in with everything I got some cottage cheese that's my uh any store-bought um uh cornbread mix or do uh if you got a special brand then I'm going in with my eggs foreign just like that it's really simple so after my cottage cheese I'm going in with a little salt okay then some milk and what's really going to give this the cheesy ooey gooey is my cheddar cheese and I'm reserving a little bit because I'm gonna put a little on top when I'm done and now guys all we're doing is just mixing y'all he mixing two we both mixing can I come over here and see what yours looking like oh we Shimmer I just ain't hit it with no wet yet but I'm gonna come with the web right now why did you why you're wet separate AB I'll just do it this way you know so I can see it you know I mean uh that way if I drop egg if I get nervous because I'm cooking next to Mr patently or something like that I gotta get her out of here boy you know I mean I can see it right now man oh yeah no that look good the batter look good oh yeah that's 100 I got to come see yours when you get when you get your wet in there but okay uh the batter y'all it's perfect so one of the things I want to say is listen this should be help everybody out there listen if you knew you haven't checked me out on you've seen any of my videos in the past I do preach this you gotta wash and clean as you go right I like to keep clean hands you know what I mean we keep hot soapy water right here so listen as we get a chance you know as you know things going up and stuff like that you just wash your dishes shut them on the rack and you let them go pro tip okay so I'm just gonna go in with this batter and then I'm just going to mix it all up put a little cheese on top and it's going into the oven what's up brother nothing I'm almost there all right I'm just going ahead and work with my uh my wet you know just whisk up my eggs just a little bit now I'm gonna add my milk right come with my oil and before I add my cream style corn right I'm just going to give this a little mix like this now we ain't making scrambled eggs or nothing like that this right here just I ain't gonna say nothing I'm just gonna tell everybody hey trust the process right you know add this now now you understand why I wanted to have a spatula you know why because I want to get all of the ingredients out of here go ahead and just get this mixed up right now we bring our dry in look we got cheese still left right we don't want to add our cheese just as of yet so now I like everything I got going here now I'm just going to go ahead and add this here I see where you're going brother take your bowl you need to whisk anymore thank you no you know what I'm gonna check that okay you know what look let me just go ahead and hold you off of here like this but yeah like you've been in Grandmama's kitchen oh yeah oh yeah oh you put corn in yours oh that sounds good so last thing for me to do is I judge my cheese how much cheese I want to put in here you know what I mean so I'm gonna go ahead and just grab some right now I know off the back I need a handful did I just put my whisk in the water you've handed it to me and I was cleaning as I go that's right that's right that's what happened to that problem all right so look now you just want to go and just start mixing anything like this it's up to you how cheesy you want this to be you know that looks good oh yeah hey I hate to pop my own collar hey don't do it though hey you notice I usually wear pops on I usually wear a t-shirt or something like that but I brought a collar today just for that reason I don't let it pop it's calling y'all once he profits collar I can't do nothing with him in the kitchen not nothing hey look at that right there that's right it don't need no more oh man it looks good look at that we're literally showing them this ain't nothing right old school this old school that's old school hey this ain't if this ain't Big Mama right here what huh tell me I knew you was doing that I knew you was going to do that oh yeah but wait I got it's a message to this madness I'm gonna show you why we don't want nothing to stick and that's my you know when we go to the dance tonight yeah this is you know I take her so look you guys got to see that like that right you want to take a little bit of your cornmeal right just take I don't know I'm gonna say just three generous pinches it'll probably take a little bit more than that right like this if you need more you just add more hey I'm not going to be fighting it you know I mean hey hey I'm out here trying to be politically correct with it yeah you know I mean so we'll just move this around like this so anyway I've never seen anybody do cornbread like that why you know what I'll do this man because I want to make sure nothing sticks now I'm gonna take this over the trash and get the rest of this out and then we're ready to pour gotcha okay so the only thing left to do now is just to add this I start at the back and then just work my way we got that spatula nice and then don't forget we want to get all of the ingredients right we want all of the cornbread that is going to you know make that's nice the only difference is I'm not going to put nothing on over the top I'm gonna let this sit here just for about two or three minutes as I clean up like that and there you have it all right mine is ready to go let's make some cheddar on the top she's going in y'all at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes hey we're all that talking you're doing right hey I got to go in my damn I mean you got it all right how long is yours 30 minutes um you know we're gonna check it in 30. his way my way or the highway okay y'all you guys can see hey why am I doing all the Talking bro listen I got to show you this they both look similar yeah only difference is I saw you sprinkling a little cheese over the top I like the way I like the way that green is coming through you know I mean so look I'm gonna go ahead and check mine I just know it's done right so I'll just take it like this Clorox over here yeah no oh you missed the spot over here oh okay I still same thing you know we're just yeah look for you guys out here that don't know how to read a toothpick I'm gonna go ahead and read it for you like this yeah you in trouble Pat oh hey that's hey that's what that's right and then look if I'm Gonna Keep It Real uh all right yeah yeah you're really real hey just as clean brother that's right yeah just as clean man I tell you what I think both of these are super amazing absolutely it's time to uh cut into it I think it's time to do it so look I'm gonna go ahead and get one oh you know what let me just show this part right now yeah these been sitting here just for a minute let me just yeah do that man don't burn yourself right I don't know if you guys can see it but I'm gonna turn it this way so you guys can see this you see this right here looking like it's on the San Andreas fault for you guys on the west coast you know what that is it's earthquake land you know what I'm saying but when you look right there you see the way it pulls back that's why I put the you know I know I didn't I didn't feel it I didn't feel it at first but it's almost like a cake there you go hey but he pulls back nothing sticks to the pan yeah and I'm good all right but all right so look it's so good cut into the cornbread you know what let's do it [Music] mm-hmm no she cutting right on through is clean oh yeah you see the way it's moving it's ready to separate yeah I'll tell you I only mess with the with the ladies that's ready to go to the dance [Laughter] it's nice so this one right here yeah she say she ready yeah I don't really need to do this here but yeah you can see when I touch it look all right let me go and give me a plate yeah take it easy I know I gotta be easy I'm gonna get one you only get one cut I mean I know I know brother my mind should do just like yours because if y'all remember I sauteed into the skillet so it was already kind of all right you know just take it like that and we're gonna get up under her let me get on up under her come on come on come on come on come on oh beautiful come on oh that's Young come on sit there sit there and just be nice now the stress is on me I got it so if I take it like this yeah you know what I mean start start working with it like that I'm trying to got to get her early up under there right so then I just move her back and forth like that I kind of like a little breakup that's okay that's good you know what I mean that's good nice only be yours look really creamy man hey look I even got a piece to eat [Applause] so I'm gonna switch it yes that's he is yes uh that's the one I made this is his I'm gonna go ahead and hit it just like this is fire all right so right out the back you you got my heart because listen I love broccoli man but I'm gonna tell you something and this is no joke y'all yeah the jalapenos in here I'm still in this recipe it's going back to Georgia y'all this is good my wife is gonna go crazy when I make this foil and the corn I literally taste the corn out yeah that's fine bro thank you brother this here the jalapenos stand out it ain't every day you know what I'm saying it seem like I'm saying it every time I cook next to you but you know I mean uh that right there is fire what I would love to do is take some of that broccoli and add this to this and I think that would like send it over the top brother before you go any further I got I put some of those Jalapenos in here oh yeah uh just a little bit just a little bit of the Corn in there uh but man you know what your way my way
