wholesome and sound doctrine and withstand and convince the gainsayers are you ready with faithful diligence to banish and drive away all erroneous strange and false doctrines contrary to God's Word and both privately and publicly to call up and encourage others to do the same will you deny all ungodliness and worldly lusts and live soberly righteously and godly in this present world that you may show yourself in all things as an example of good works and to others but the adversary may be ashame having nothing to say against you I will will you maintain and set forth as such as lie in your quietness love and peace among all men and such as be disorderly disobedient and criminal correct and discipline according to such authority as you have by God's Word and shall be committed unto you will you be faithful in ordaining or laying hands and sending others and in all the other duties of your office I will do so will you show yourself diligent and be merciful for Christ's sake too poor and needy people and to all strangers destitute of help I will so show myself by God at this time the candidate tenets of faith declaration I believe with complete faith that God is one he was he is he will be he is self-existent his first and his last he is eternal the creator and ruler of all that exists he created the world out of nothing he is omnipotent omniscient omnipresent immutable independent intelligent thoughtful orderly purposeful he's holy I believe in repentance of one sins I believe in water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I believe in the infilling of the
