Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
It's amazing seining the nose of the aircraft angle up and down in flight.
In a book by Brian Trubshaw (Concorde test pilot), the angle of the nose during various flight phases is discussed. One interesting point was that the nose could be drooped past the point where it was no longer visible to the pilot & co-pilot. Feedback was not good as this 'sitting on the edge of a precipice' view resulted in sensation of vertigo! So, maximum droop was that which still gave the pilots enough of a view to be comforting whilst still providing clear view of the landing approach sightline.

there have been more astronauts than concorde pilots
It makes you appreciate how well People like us get the tone.
I hate you r/aviation. This is one of the best videos I've seen on here and it has little to no attention from the community. :(
60000 Feet Mach 2.0 , this is the stuff of dreams , and to imagine this happened 3 decades ago . mind=blown
Why do they go "sticks forward" on landing? That would create lift and take weight off of the main gear, resulting in a less efficient braking force.
does anyone know if there was a difference in payment between a normal longhaul crew on e.g. 747 and the concorde. if there was, how much more did they get, lets say, per month?
