Comparing Three 3ct Blue Sapphire

time okay got a oh man i love shooting sapphires all right not that i not not because i necessarily love them more than diamonds that's not true but because we don't shoot them as often as diamonds and we have a client who is going to be putting a diamond that he purchased from us a while ago into another ring and he's going to be putting a sapphire in its place and we called in some ways in the neighborhood of around between 10 and 15 sapphires all within the same price range we were looking for a particular size which quite frankly the last two here in this video encompass it's roughly about uh eight and a half millimeters square and as you can see the first and the last one this first one here is a three carat uh sapphire 3.03 it's right around 7.9 millimeters okay so pretty darn close to eight millimeters side-by-side the second one as you can see has a richer deeper blue to it not necessarily better although it is phenom absolutely gorgeous sapphire as well and then last but not least this is um this one here is like perfect size i think for the for this gentleman's ring it's an eight by seven by eight point nine uh millimeter in diameter i don't have the exact millimeters of this one but this one you can see is more square i love the transparency on this one the color on it um you know whether you go with this one to me it would be between this one and this one merely because of the size and the ring that it's going into this one i think is going to be a little bit too small for the ring that's going into this last one here oh goodness i believe it's a it's another one around three carats yeah it is a three character and uh just beautiful transparency and color on these sapphires okay cancer this is a great great way to view it and we're looking under gia's northern daylight hemisphere lighting 5000 degree kelvin to look at the color tones against the flat white background beautiful clear demonstration of these guys all right let's look at them in spotlighting just for fun too right now i'm not in spotlighting i'm in normal more normal office lighting and notice how these guys now got darker all right and they are a little bit darker and you know and the light the lighting isn't as bright right now but another beautiful demonstration of these appearances of these sapphires just beautiful okay i'm gonna turn some spot lighting on okay and right now i'm actually holding the spotlighting above these diamonds um and man beautiful beautiful transparency yeah the first one uh and the third one do have some awesome sparkle to them for sapphires okay both absolutely magnificent specimens uh as is the one in the middle okay the one in the middle isn't as transparent as the um first and third ones are but again it also has a beautiful royal blue color to it and uh in this in this price range that we were looking in for sapphires we really located some absolutely beautiful ones so for the ring all right so that's going to wrap this up and you know i'm just going to pull this away for a second turn it off boom here's like a more that more dimmer office lighting there's brighter office lighting that's that's more similar to what we were first looking at it in all right and that pretty much wraps this up so really for me it you know it would be between these two you know i have a personal preference of one of the two more than the other but they're both gorgeous all right and there you go thank you for watching
