COLLEGE MOVE IN VLOG 2019

[Music] just made it to the house just what's in this is going to be my humble abode what does it be guys welcome to her back to my channel thank you so much for clicking on today's video today's vlog is going to be a lot beef waited for probably since last year's movement blogs that should I'm going to be living in my sorority house so I'm moving in there today I'm gonna be a sophomore at DePaul University and I'm moving back so early because I'm being a mentor to pot as a mentor program you like you lead the freshmen through freshman orientation and then you're also their mentor throughout the whole year kind like the brief version and me explaining that so yeah that's why I'm moving back so early it's currently a.m. on August 10th and I can move into the house starting at 9:00 so I think that I'm gonna get going here pretty soon if you guys haven't watched my college or roadtrip vlog definitely go watch that and then I'll kind of like give you guys some of the backstory ended up in Indianapolis then driving to green castle today and I'm originally from Ocean City Maryland so that'll give you guys like that whole backstory so without him being said it's about a 40 minute drive from Indianapolis to Green castle so I'm gonna go stop at Starbucks first because I'm so tired also oh I meant to do this earlier this actually does like wonders I feel like it just like it opens up my whole face yeah with that being said I'm gonna finish Jade well in my face and then I'm gonna get on the road as for my outfit of the day I'm just wearing this Under Armour sweatshirt and then a pair of leggings and like a little sports bra underneath so I can take off the sweatshirt when I get super hot cuz I'm gonna be moving all my stuff it's a car it's all packed I have all my stuff in there it's a plane right there and it is such a beautiful day I couldn't have asked for better weather to drive out here and to drive like to school than I was way meant like it's only 40 minutes but literally like the difference of jeans sunny and rainy is huge yeah sure my dad and I drove this bad boy out to Indiana and then he just caught a flight that's why we're staying like right by the airport I mean kind of like this morning back home and then I'm just going to drive the remaining 40 minutes to school so that's a first Starbucks cuz your girl needs some coffee I am so tired I literally have not slept well these past couple nights at all I woke up at 4 o'clock yesterday woke up at 7 today I have to wake up at like 6:00 or 7:00 tomorrow and the horse of the week and I probably won't sleep again I probably won't sleep in again like until further notice but that's just life baby setting my location to the Starbucks and in Plainfield and let's go get some breakfast I know I shouldn't talk to me I think it's because this isn't on so I got my Starbucks I literally took one step and I was like I taste like college because this was my drink like all freshman year it's a vanilla stream cold brew and I never get them anymore but I love them so much and I was like since we're here since we're just you know we're back into PHA we're gonna do a vanilla so you can go through and it just took me took me back it's just like taste like in the end on me and also just like the funniest thing is like Indiana is known for its potholes and just driving here like the whole time I was like trying to dodge potholes and I was like like sorry car because the bottles here are so bad and I just forgot how bad it is to drive here but like knowing in Indiana I love you so much but please fix your it just made it to the house just walked in this is going to be my humble abode it's honestly not the bad in here they said that we don't have air conditioning and they made it seem like it would be like some big huge deal but I'm so excited we have a front view we have two windows we have a view of the front lawn and then we move you up like our side porch thing okay I was literally gonna pee my pants the entire time I was driving here so I'm gonna go and I'll start brings up in set up like a little time-lapse with everything yeah also I just felt like it was important to note that my roommates aren't moving in early so I'm just gonna be here for the next week by myself but I'll just like set the room however I think would be good and then pick a closet and a desk and go from there [Music] alright guys so this is my idea for Matt I just spent the past 15 minutes like rearranging furniture ok so there's three deaths and I unlike of course my roommates come like if they want to change anything like well I'll change it or talk about it I just the daybed here because I feel like we would have more space like they were just kind of coping the room up more then putting it like to the side and then I feel like it would be nice to have all three of us have like our own like area if that kind of makes sense so and then I'm like rearrange the desks to make sure that all the ones that have like shelves like the shelves are facing out so like out that way on that one and then then the shelves are facing out and then the shots are facing out that way you can like put your shoes in there whatever because like on these two they're on the opposite sides or is if they were like if this one wasn't that way then the shelves would be like on the bedside if that makes sense I just love our house like I'm I'm so happy to be here yeah now I'm gonna go get some of my stuff out of the 500-mile closet because I got to keep my stuff in the closet because I live over 500 miles away so that is my shelf and I'm gonna go grab some of this stuff and move it into you in my room okay so explain to me why I said I have a fan looks so complicated turns out I'm gonna have to wait for summer to get air why do we need that much packaging for a fan someone please justify this alright guys so I took everything out of my car everything's inside now and like these things when it's not her mouth closet and that was - I assembled a fan I'm so proud of myself that I did this all by myself I even read the instructions they don't do much right away but I did it and also those are a road a lot of works but there's four mouths I'm gonna go ahead and just start doing stuff I don't really know where to start but you guys up on the timeline and [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] sir as I'm making a really really good at progress I'm pretty much done okay that's a lot I'm done with my closet but I arranged my clothes I like kind of color-coded them and then my shoe rack is coming Wednesday I'm comes he's a whole bin of the stuff that I left his house so my shoe rack is coming the bin and then I just feel like all my towels and then like contacts and like tampons and stuff up there and then I need to figure that out at some point and then I just have like my t-shirts and my leggings and all these jurors and then okay also you guys might be confused as to why there's only one bed in here I've explained that I'm a couple other of my vlogs but I'm just gonna insert the clip of why there's only one bed okay guys I'm gonna try my best to explain what a cold dorm versus a day room is it's just like a very traditional way to live in a storey house so I know that it's kind of like I don't know you've got most of you guys probably happen like heard of this type of living so it might sound weird to you but like that's just like how we do it in the house so like don't comment me and stuff the whole dorm basically what it is it's just a room with a whole bunch of bunk beds and in it you're assigned to your bed and then that's just like your sleeping bag and so you go to the cold dorm to sleep and you don't do anything else there you just sleep it's always dark it's always cold yeah and it's just for sleeping so like 24/7 it's always dark and they're always supposed to be quiet like a no-phone zone it's just strictly for sleeping and then everybody is assigned to a day room as well and in your day room that's where you keep all your clothes so I'll keep like all my clothes my desk will be in there and I have two other roommates so what there's like doubles triples and quads in the house and I'm living in a triple this semester so I'm living with my friend Paige and my friend Alicia and so we'll all have our own desk we'll all have our own closet and then there's one daybed in there which is like I mean if you want to like crash on the daybed you can or it's just for like hanging out and just like have a bed in your room but it's not like you're like assigned sleeping back there like if you want to sleep in the daybed no yeah that's why I have two sets of bedding so you guys will see that I have two sets of bedding in this vlog this is my packing blog and then in my like move-in vlog also probably insert this exact clip and then you guys won't be able to see how I look okay that's your regularly scheduled programming okay so hopefully that makes sense and with that being said I'm gonna go ahead and just start making the day bed and then I'll go and make my cult dorm bed and the cold rooms on the third floor so I have to go look upstairs and do that and it's not really like a top priority for me right now just as long as I do it before I go to bed tonight that'll be good to go wish me luck I have to put the duvet cover on top of the duvet and that's literally the most difficult task known to man I think everybody can agree or not so wish me luck also I forgot to mention that I put a little rug over my chair so now it just looks like a little more chic and I put it was kind of too big and like the size literally came out to yours they look like they were like wings on the side so I just used little binder clips and I clipped it to the side of the chair so whack okay I think that I wrestled with the stupid cover for probably 20 minutes but I finally got it in our bed is something little just like low to the ground just like you can't even see the detailing on the comforter so I wonder if it's supposed to be no okay I supposed to go this way I have it in the right way so I think that I have bed risers that are in the bend that Sam is bringing so I might try to put some under here and then we could like stick like storage stuff under here like me back up on my suitcase under there or something but yeah I'm coming along really well I think I don't literally just gonna lay down and take a break because I am so tired where I might walk to Starbucks but I feel like I don't need another coffee alright guys so currently if this is what my side it looks like I've made so much progress the closet still looks the same I just hung up these two little like sign type things this one is a print from Etsy they were both hanging in my dorm last year so if you watched like any of my vlogs last year you probably would recognize these this is a print format see I don't know who the artist is but I can probably ask my mom she got that for me and then I just had this little like board thing and I just made it say alpha Chi and then I'm currently uploading my roadtrip vlog from yesterday also I need to figure out what to do with all of Hydra flasks and this thing is kind of just a mess but I think with Sam comes that there are a bunch of like little like basket like wire basket type things that I can hopefully like put some stuff in snacks are up here along with just some command script strips I feel like this could just be like a communal like snack storage type thing and then over here I just put my suitcase over here for now I probably might be able to either put in that corner or put it under the bed once I get bed risers I just may like this little corner like my little vanity thing and then when the other girls get here they can kind of use whatever space they want and then I just put this here so in case we're all like straightening her hair or like loading or something you just have like more plug options instead of just that so yeah this is what the room looks like so far all right guys Sam just got here with my Ben and now I can figure out what I need him I don't need this is my shoe rack so boy this is so smart and taped all these things together okay and then these were like the little baskets that I was talking about so don't know what exactly what to do but I think if we might go grab some lunch because I'm really tired of moving things and we're gonna go grab lunch because we're both so hungry so and then we can go the bookstore after because I want to get a sticker for the back of my car and a lanyard my keys [Music] back to Starbucks and the bookstore because what else is now this is where I did all my studying all the freshman year I'm gonna come in there later we're gonna go get our books I want to get a little keychain for my car keys you're not letting me get the video with all this construction they're doing so much construction Sam luck what are they doing over there yeah how are people gonna get to class it says no new cooling and heating wait that's where Sam live last year and hugging we have everybody had some good good memories no again and they're building a brand-new building okay that's where I live that was Humbert and then this is gonna be the new the new building that this is the new building oh maybe that's that's probably the elevator shaft this is so cool yeah there was there's a GCP a diem building Hoover's over there now we're going to Fido to go see if we can put Sam's books in his room so guys it's a lot later now we just got back from Walmart in the bookstore and lunch I got a new sweatshirt at the bookstore that I'm really excited about and I also got a sticker and I already put that on the back of my car and then I got just a couple like random things at Walmart I needed a new light bulb for this lamp so I got a like ball but now it works and then I got a bin for my shoes because my shoe rack didn't fit in here just like two wide for the space in the closet so I mean there's been no worse totally fine I like update you guys super quick on the whole moving process of course like any time that you like move in your new space you're not gonna be like actually done with it for like a month or so just because it takes a while I like it settled in and everything but yeah that's kind of how things are going from you right now and so far so good also I hung up this little bolts more than my big made for me during like big little week and then of course just like the little things that I mentioned earlier and then I just put this empty little basket here and then these two little baskets and then this then just has my snacks in it but I just figured that when other girls get here then they can fill it up with whatever they feel alright guys so I'm pretty much it moved in for the most part of course there's like always some little things that I have to like figure out and just kind of find as I continue to live here but yeah I'm pretty much moved in it thank you guys so much for watching this video if you liked it be sure to give it a
