both of you have played the role of mr darcy in different versions of pride and prejudice now colin doesn't matter where you go that short scene will follow you till the end of time but that wasn't quite how it was meant to be was it no the shirt wasn't supposed to be there i didn't if the word shirt was even mentioned in the script was it not supposed to be there no no i i think originally it's just going back it was 25 years ago so forgive me if i if i can't answer accurately but i i think the original idea was in the original script is that he just takes all his clothes off and jumps into a farm and um i don't think the bbc were having it um on nine o'clock on a sunday evening um [Music] yeah so anyway yeah it was just okay well let's have him just keep his clothes on and jump into it and then one you know it was just a kind of incidental byproduct of that
