from from the house this weekend too it is a fly look which is why I've got this listen can you hear the electricity you're now going to watch a man can you hear it can you hear that does it interfere with your signal can you hear it what a racket said Edward bton excuse me one second oh they're good aren't they Christine bet they're called the Executioner Pro not just the Executioner but the Executioner Pro oh you can hear the whistle it's like a light pinging noise going open the back door cuz then it can maybe can go I'm still with you though don't worry let's do this it's Chi guard dog if you knew Chi guard dog she's blind and she looks like a Wookie um anyway okay what are we going to be talking about today haven't got long um we're going to be talking about is Iran about to attack Israel um Joe Biden has put on so many pairs of aviator glass is it suggests something quite serious is going to happen um we're going to be talking about that um Caroline Flack back in the news today um due to the continual pressure hard work lobbying of her mother uh it looks like there's going to be a reopening of a certain aspect of her case for those of you who are international Caroline Flack was a uh very very uh famous uh sort of TV presenter love Island presenter here uh she tragically tragically uh took her life uh after a sort of drama surrounding um a domestic violence incident uh and how that how that incident and in uh occurrence was managed by the police um so we're going to briefly talk about that um we're going to talk about health anxiety do you have health anxiety do do do do do you I mean I mean this seriously a new book is coming out called a body made of glass um and health anxiety I think we talk about it in the abstract we talk about hypoc condra but then there's really quite profound health anxiety too um we're going to talk about something which I've made up this word uh Emoji semitism this is a curious story this actually um and I've posted about this on the Instagram uh stories uh this is the idea uh as suggested by um the Jewish TV presenter um and countdown um co-host if you like Rachel Riley that when you type Jerusalem the word jerus into Apple predictive text um the Palestinian flag automatically comes up as an emoji you know how emojis are kind of that you have predictive Emoji don't you on on Apple texting devices is it anti-semitic um should both Flags come up should no Flags come up um interesting debate um uh and if there's time and if we kind of run out of space um or we've run out of time we've run out of chat uh I want to talk about whether your children or anyone you know could actually uh be without their phone this is the suggestion that the technology secretary Michelle donellan is thinking of of banning the sale of smartphones for under 16s of course what that means is I I don't think I know any under 16 who's bought an iPhone or bought their own iPhone do you there's a major flaw in this this strategy Banning iPhones Banning under 16y olds from buying iPhones I don't know a single under 16y 16y old has bought an iPhone the parents just going to have another glug oh no I'm not going to have a bit of this oh no maybe I'll have a bit of [Music] that Stuart G I have health anxiety since I was a kid I'm 49 now and on medication for it it sucks the life out me oh there you goes to it yeah that's right we were talking I was talking to you about that briefly when you were sharing with me hi Mark I'm two years sober thanks to you and nads and Dena who've been so supportive and sweet Amelia funnily enough on that note Amelia a friend of ours Cass has been she hasn't necessarily gone sober but she's done 100 days no drinking and she's hit 100 days and uh bless her she messaged me yesterday and I said look don't do anything with an anniversary one one of the things I would say about anniversaries is this and I think this doesn't really get spoken about because you go to an AA meeting and they give you a chip and it's all it's great don't get me wrong it's it's all brilliant but the absolute truth of sobriety um the absolute truth about sobriety is um is keeping in the day isn't it and there is real power in that because in a sense I sometimes when I hit my year marker can feel the pressure not to celebrate and have a drink though much earlier on in my sobriety possibly um but to reflect almost too seriously on the meaning of an anniversary and I think sometimes it's really important to remember it's just a day it's just a day you know the the birds and the bees don't know it's an anniversary uh and neither should they they're birds and bees there's some sense in there somewhere I'm trying to be philosophical but it's kind of gone in a weird Direction but that is such good news Amelia look everyone here is saying well done you well done you now don't be thinking about 3 years that's what I mean it's like we get trapped into we'll talk about this we'll talk about this I'll talk about this with with with with Cass so I'll let you know we're going to be doing a Instagram live chat I think it's next week I'm also doing one Lee darant next week um and um in a weird way final thing I would say on this is every day is a celebratory day right we get hung up on this annual thing um and yet at the same time it's such a great achievement so well well done uh your bookcase looks very tidy behind your mark it does doesn't it yeah we've kind of yeah you know what can I say what can I say can't beat him join them don't know where the books have gone there I do they're all in the back of my effing car oky doie so I have run through everything we're going to talk about okay well let's talk about Iran first um here's the thing here's the thing what is it Joe what's Joe Biden's kind of Catchphrase does he have a catchphrase I always remember when Jim Cary did an impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live it was so good he'd kind of shoot me down I don't know he had some kind of is there a catchphrase I fancy catchphrase but I can't do Joe Biden he's so sleepy sleepy sleepy I'll end up turning into into Donald Trump oh my God has anyone seen the Donald Trump eclipse of the sun film po poo I promise you we will show you this on Friday um no irony quite an astonishing film but anyway I I'll show you that tomorrow so this is the idea that Israel hit Iran's Consulate in Damascus Syria if you hit any kind of uh diplomatic uh building you're essentially attacking the country to which that diplomatic building belongs because diplomatic immunity you get them all over London um and you know cars with the D and you know essentially these people are it's a little bit Little slice of their country you've agreed to let them have a little bit of their country and your country uh happy belated birthday JB happy belated birthday so Israel hits Iran's Consulate in Damascus uh Iran say we're going to hit you back but they haven't said who when they haven't said how um but there's a feeling in intelligence circles that it could be imminent but is there let's not forget let's look at this let's unpack this just for a moment Israel has got themselves into a bit of a tricky sticky situation I mean let's not be around the bush the people in the trickiest stickiest situation are the Palestinians who have been destroyed uh had their country decimated have literally had everything in their lives removed destroyed there is no infrastructure it's going to take decades to rebuild and it's going to take billions and billions of dollars none of which Israel is going to plop in there to rebuild the country and even when they rebuild it they're not going to be able to do it in any way quickly or meaningfully because at every single stage if concrete ever needs to go in it's going to be accused of being used for tunnels so you can see how that's going to go so we've got pal but Israel have created a real problem for themselves and that they they're losing support around the world they're losing sympathy they've kind of way gone way way way Beyond any even suggestion that this was a an act of self-defense the most rational reasonable people know that feel that if you come across people in your life or in your inbox and your DMs who don't just ignore them just ignore them because they're you know they're they don't have a heart they don't have a heart or they're a B I mean they might not literally have a heart they might not they literally might not even have skin because it might be a bot so first things first Faith Goodman interesting point I was just about to nibble away at this um hi Alex TP quiet Watcher love watching all you guys chat so thought i' just say hi hi um Faith Goodman people say Iran is evil but people don't say the same about Israel okay if Iran human rights disaster um Israel in Palestine human rights disaster hamas's actions AR 7 horrible all violence and all acts of violence are horrible but to pretend that none of them happen in a cause and effect situation and to pretend that we in the west aren't some how culpable or responsible not only for arming but also for creating the Tinder boxes within which these this violence happens let's take ourselves back to Tony Blair and Iraq the weapons of mass destruction do you remember that do you remember the dodgy dossier I mean when you look back at all of that it looks so crass and unbelievably obvious you sort of think God this is embarrassing how embarrassing they pretended there was something there there wasn't anything there there's a dodgy you know anyway so no one's sitting here as a defender of Iran we've come out countless times talking about how awful their human rights are this isn't about like oh suddenly an Iran's support no not at all this is about Humanity but it's about implementing um the same standards across all scenarios so my my thinking on this is IR uh Israel thought they had the right to self-defense after October the 7th uh Palestine uh Palestinians or uh you know uh gazans and and Westbank Palestinians felt they had the right to have feel they have the right to self-defense over a much broader period of time because essentially they've been occupied um so you know and we're not going to get into the Rights and Wrongs of either of those those are the two positions and now Iran potentially is about to hit Israel uh because uh well I'd be fascinated to know if I was a PR person for Iran I'd say just say self-defense whatever you do just say self-defense because it seems to be the buzzword it seems to be the it seems to be the buzz phrase you know self-defense do is self-defense we can justify everything if you say self-defense so I'm I'm curious to know how America and Biden has come out today saying we are Ironclad what does that mean does that mean he's got 18 pairs of aviator glasses all over his body like some strange kind of Terminator sort of reflective Shield anyway Biden is Ironclad and I'm sure that's got the rest of the world absolutely [ __ ] buckets not uh as he stumbles out of uh you know aircraft one or whatever is Air Force One and tip tips down the down the stairs and then walks in the wrong direction so he might be Ironclad but he's he's not at all coherent and he doesn't really know where he is so there we go so it means he's got his nappy on good CH lollipop so what we're seeing now is I think what's actually happening here is I wouldn't be toall surprised here's the thing just again we don't know because we're not intelligent people are we um we we're not Iranian and we're not we don't know so here's the thing given the way in which the mainstream media and the propaganda of the governments of the West have uh kind of high frer sending you love once again again if it feels like you're kind of bobbling around within a sea of other stuff this is a kind of curious scenario environment to be able to be heard uh with re personal personal issues so I do apologize but um you may want to you know you may want to contribute we're going to be talking about things like health anxiety later so not not ignoring just just letting you know now we're sort of talking about other other things at the moment um sending you love though sweetie sending you love so here's the thing just one second uh uh uh uh so all the chatter is Iran's going to hit Israel or proxies Iran proxies are going to hit Israel someone's going to hit Israel I can't help but wonder I can't help but wonder if there's a little bit of provocation going on here because there was also a story about 48 hours ago uh where they were saying that Iran actually had gone to America and said look stop if Israel stops assault on Gaza if a ceasefire is secured we won't need to respond we won't need to attack we won't need to do anything but it doesn't suit the West to promote such a reasonable and rational request from a nation that we like to hold as the evil axis of Evil um so you know it's kind of it it's kind of you know it doesn't suit The Narrative and what we have to understand here is that the the world government Western governments the mainstream media and this happens in all countries happening in ranto every country is interested in promoting a narrative a story a Hollywood Story in some instances a narrative who's the baddy who's the goodie who's wrong who's good now Israel and America have a bit of a difficult situation here because by by the same standards using the same metrics getting out of ruler which is never good in this house and measuring up the argument of self-defense Iran to all intents and purposes it has every right like America did when uh the American troops on the Jordanian border were killed and do you remember America then fired loads of missiles at kind of non-targets to look like they were firing things by the same standard Iran has the right within this logic to hit back no so what so this is tricky because Iran could hit back quite hard or they could do something quite naughty or it could tip Israel into a tip fortat and it becomes a sort of oh this could become a big big big problem so I'm just beginning to wonder whether What's Happening Here is is the America and Israel are slightly goding Iran because Iran doesn't want to and Iran isn't going to tyan is scared as Thomas Bradley says but what's Happening Here is they're trying to push them and in pushing them they're either going to provoke something or they know they're going to provoke nothing which in in which case is going to kind of neuter um Teran and Iran's if you like reputation in the area so this is this is what's happening at the moment so all I'm trying to say is as you hear these stories about Iran about to attack did I think there's a little bit of kind of there's a lot of manipulation going on behind the scenes here it it's it's curious I mean they're kind of it's a game of chicken going on um and uh you know as anyone's guess whether in the next 24 hours they're saying it could be in the next 24 hours but they've been saying that for the last 72 hours uh it could be that in the next 24 hours Iran sends a a swarm of drones is what they're talking about um of some form and then of course yes you're absolutely right De Wolf deg grow you've got the whole Saudi Arabia it's so complicated over there everyone's got their vested interest everyone's got their own narratives we've got our fingers in every bloody pie everyone's selling arms to everyone I mean you know the weirdest thing about this whole planet God forbid is two of the biggest biggest money-making Industries are arms and big farmer and isn't it weird how that means we need Wars and we need viruses that's weird isn't it that weird we need Wars and viruses wow I wonder what happen if both happen at the same time my argument is just escaping to cinema or Lose Yourself to music I find that a great solution just get lost in music fill the dance F the dance baby Thomas Bradley Netanyahu will take advantage of teran's fear yeah I think Tran are in a Tran Iran is trying to build a nuclear sort of you know behind the scenes do its thing um but imagine if they hit Israel with just even like a a tiny little drone like that and Israel go [ __ ] you and they Hammer them then they take out all their Iranian kind of you know uh Iranian uranium uh sites then it's kind of like they they've lost haven't they immediately so there's a lot of kind of brinksmanship going on over there and the Americans know this that's why that's why Biden's got 18 pairs of aviator glasses on his head that's why he's walking backwards off Air Force One doing the moonwalk unintentionally meanwhile Psychopathic IDF soldiers still keep playing with Palestinian women's knickers which I think is for me one of the most disturbing and yet revealing uh aspects of the Israeli occupation of Palestine they've got a really troubling Obsession haven't they and this is apparently the most moral army in the world I just want to stress once again just because you wear a uniform and just because you are part of a recognized country's Army doesn't mean you're an honorable person just go and check most of the social media accounts of most of the IDF soldiers anyway there you go so um that's in the news Caroline flag let's move on to that Caroline Flack um this is this is the news being reported that uh a break it's being described as a breakthrough in the Caroline flak story um uh her mother has appealed yet again the uh to the independent office of police cond conduct who previously urged the Met to reopen the investigation um uh the her mom have her mom has managed to make the Met police uh or Force the Met police into reinvestigating the leadup to the decision to charge TV presenter Caroline Flack I don't know if you remember this was all pivoted around the idea that she was she was caught up in a domestic situation uh charged arrested and charged with assaulting her boyfriend uh this led to lots of trolling and lots of attacking of her and Etc um but then there was a kind of there were huge kind of question marks because the CPS the crime prosecution service which decides whether or not uh you proceed with charging someone they they came through saying that she should she should receive a caution she shouldn't be charg uh but then that was overturned because the Met police the investigating met police force uh decided that they wanted to appeal that um and she was then later charged uh with assault by beating she was then found dead in February 2020 tragically taking her own life at the age of 40 uh the Met police have said now that they're making further inquiries into potential new witness evidence relating to the actions of officers in appealing the initial CPS decision what do you think was at work there I mean I'm know this isn't about specul I mean people have speculated about this I just think what was at the heart of this parking to one side the Rights and Wrongs the awfulness of what happened between her and her boyfriend you know a woman tragically lost her life it doesn't I just can't help but feel that there's just that prurient desire or there was within the handling of this by the Met police that she's a CB um she's a celeb uh and let's let's just throw the book at her and let's not make this easy for her um so they're wanting to really explore and examine some of the um some of the actual uh evidence some of the evidence uh that that exists potentially around the night that she was held at the police station um a Spoke spokesperson for the iopc said on the basis there may be new witness evidence available uh we returned one aspect of the complaint back to the Met to investigate this relates to the actions of officers in appealing an initial decision by the CPS um so there's a feeling there's a sense that there is more evidence that could be placed forward now of course this isn't going to change what's happened to Caroline but this is this does speak to you know the idea and the feeling uh that that you know her mental health uh was thrown into a deeper deep I mean clearly she was struggling but she was thrown into deeper deeper disarray um because of essentially You could argue a sort of Metropolitan Police Witch Hunt uh they weren't going to let this go the CPS had decided not to proceed but the Metropolitan Police weren't having it I'm not I'd be I think you know it'd be interesting to know what the precedent for that was you know would that normally happen when can they not find can they not find 10 other other cases where there were questionable moments of assault or possible assault and when the CPS had made it recommendation did the police did the Met police push back on all of them or was it just because she was a celebrity and I think you know this idea again that just because you're a celebrity you you somehow you get all the best of things it's it's like Well when things turn sour you also can get all the worst of things because people are incredibly small-minded and and and mean um Faith Goodman talking about I just I can't pop your comment it's a shame isn't it I I we had a meeting with YouTube uh recently and I was saying to them can you can you adapt into the YouTube live thing the ability to feature a comment on screen like they do on streamyard because it'd be really nice wouldn't it and and they said they're looking into it I don't know how hard that is if streamyard could do um uh Grace and Martin don't you just hate how it takes years to get Justice yet all this information would always have been available it's disgusting it's like the Steven Lawrence case you're right you're absolutely right it's amazing isn't it how it's called it's Philly bustering isn't it that wonderful word that kind of you know they use Parliament which is just like talk talk talk and just distract distract distract nothing gets done everything's pushed Oh Long gr long gr long gr um yeah so annoying um Freya uh hope you're sending your love Freya again we popped the Samaritans number under the live the other day um if you're struggling at all today sweetie and you haven't got anyone to talk to um please please do reach out to them there's always someone at the end of of of of the line sweetie Kimu valkaria morning everyone that sounds like a Welsh Valkyrie is that right is that what you want okay that's Caroline Flack um that's the you know and I hope for her mom I really hope for her mom she gets some answers there um now this health anxiety let's do a little poll who here has health anxiety and when I say health anxiety I don't mean a passing kind of I know Stuart you struggle with it do you I don't mean you know oh well do I hang on maybe I'm doing the very thing I should do hang on let me just ask the question do you have health anxiety and I I was about to kind of draw a distinction between do you have a health anxiety Stuart G thank you you let's talk listen to Stuart because you you've really struggled with this health anxiety is awful it drains me it all started with me with the HIV aids advert when I was a kid that's interesting Stuart I remember the whole AIDS that's really interesting you should say that actually I remember being Panic stricken about that profoundly and I wasn't I was in a you know I wasn't even in any of the high-risk categories but the fear it was like you're right it was like one of the first big Public Health fears wasn't it for the sort of what are we gen Gen X I don't know what generation we are um but I'm talking I was just about to draw a distinction say I don't mean sort of Light Heart light light lowlevel hypochondria but then I was thinking well hang on a minute that's kind of what health anxiety is isn't it lowlevel hypochondria uh Abby Reed my 13-year-old girl gets terrible health anxiety not helped by needing emergency surgery last year Grace and Martin sorry sweetie sending you love Abby sorry to hear that Grace and Martin I don't have health anxiety myself but my son's girlfriend has it and it absolutely cripples her wow Nicola Richie my nephew really struggles with this um good chip lollipop I've grown out of it I used to as a child yes interesting is it cuz for some people it kind of gets worse I I I would characterize my I want to share more of your thoughts on this um I would say that my health anxiety comes in bursts it's like it's almost bipolar esque maybe that's what it is um where I'll have a period where I'm become obsessive or everything seems to be a s i mean like the other day I had such a I'll give you an example of huge pain in my left toenail um and and then because I have a bad toenail on my right toe we've talked about it a lot um no part of me and NY that you guys don't know everything about um and yks ago it was checked for not been making sure it wasn't uh cancerous though I'd had it all my life and it wasn't obviously cuz I'd had it all my life but then I got this thing and I was like oh my God so I was found myself online looking up images of what cancer under a toenail looks like and this was aggravated by the fact that the interestingly the Bob Marley biopic I I'd forgotten that he you know his cancer was first detected in his toe um and so of course I went online and then the photos didn't match up and I was like oh of course the fact that I bought a new pair of trainer and I've been running hard and perhaps i' not quite cut the corner of that toenail properly none of that featured I went straight to panic fear death uh Jennifer Barnes since a cancer diagnosis 5 years ago every ache and pain gives me anxiety hopefully it gets easier over time well Jennifer let let me hold that thought because I that's why we're talking about this I have so many health issues CLA Haywood that if it were to become anxious about if I were to become anxious about them I'd be in a permanent uh heightened state of anxiety I think Tik Tok social media is really difficult with this because I mean I notice every now and then very rarely do I I flick on Tik Tok I don't know why I suppose maybe I watched one and the algorithm went you like this um I keep seeing people picking uh extracting blackheads it's horrible um Natasha tyos one of our very close friends walked into the supermarket and collapsed in 2021 he sadly had a cardiac arrest and died oh my God he was fit and healthy since then I've worried about how fragile we all are wow yeah um if you think in any Deep Way for longer than a nanoc about um what's it called what they called not hidden underlying conditions if you think for a minute about underlying conditions don't oh that's good oh that's lucky KY Adventure don't understand what it means health anxiety W lucky for you that's great fantastic brilliant you're cushy um if you think about underlying health conditions for a nanc you can get into an absolute Tail Spin of fear um because you sort of think W the whole definition of an underlying condition is it's underlying so how the hell do we find it um Freya uh NHS is shocking and I've Had The Misfortune of experiencing it more than I would wish sorry sweetie Creator holic I used to constantly think I was dying went on for years I got over it totally only coming back recently but genuine concerns now for anyone going through that it's exhausting wow that's interesting and also I suppose as you get older and you get to a certain point where inevitably aspects of you start to kind of literally you know get a bit more achy and you get older and you break down and and so in a sense the ability to find symptoms that deliver on what that health anxiety addiction is cu I think any anxiety or obsessive or compulsive behavior is addictive I think what's happening in any health anxiety is we are looking for some kind of dopamine hit just from the fear just from the fear why am I talking about all this there's a new book coming out uh called a body made of glass uh it's by Caroline krampton it's described as the anatomy of hypochondria um and her story is that she she's an author who was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma when she was young going through her a levels and this is a book really about the fact that whilst she was cured of cancer um her health and anxiety started immediately afterwards I think this would be really interesting to read the only thing that I think I wonder whether the Publishers have thought about this is that I'm a bit concerned about reading it because I'm slightly worried that if I read it it will give me health anxiety because it's a book about health anxiety in essence but I kind of understand this and I'm I'm talk going to talk briefly just want to briefly mention how mom my mom Nanny D's girlfriend ex-girlfriend tragically took her own life uh some years ago um she was diagnosed with cancer she uh she was she essentially beat it though of course when you beat cancer you're constantly needing to be check have checkups and all those and she I think I'm right in saying mom both in terms of her mental health but in terms of her ability to kind of sit pretty with her body post sort of if you like surviving or beating cancer she couldn't get to grips with it and I think that actually spun her into a place of real kind of personal crisis and Chaos um so I I don't understand and you know i' I'm not for a minute advocating that if you've got a problem you shouldn't go and get it sorted no not at all but when me and N you have talked about this idea of if you could find out you're ill would you want to find out your ill I'm really agnostic on this I find it a really difficult thing to think about to talk about because okay if I'm profoundly ill yes I want to go but if I'm getting light symptoms at what point is just saying am I all right or you know you know how how ill am I at what point is where is the dividing line between acknowledging that you're feeling not well and exploring what what the illness is and I think it has to be that technology allows us to go so much more deeply into self- diagnosis now there's so much more information I mean the first thing people say isn't it when someone says I think I've got this is don't Google it or if you've got a symptom I've got a lump here don't Google it CU of course the Googling of it will just make the worst idea of it pop up on your on your timeline DP hugs to everyone struggling we are all in it in some way I guess um Thomas Bradley haven't had any health anxiety since Saigon fell 1975 wow okay uh that's that's quite a while is it YT User it's the same as taking a view on pets and whether to treat it or leave it um yeah uh Stuart G I can't handle going to the doctors I mean I get I get I get high blood pressure taking a high blood pressure test cuz I pic I'm like what's it called White Coat Syndrome um April Hill I have a lot of health issues most due to my disability oh it's gone um Grace and Martin so true sorry cross talking UK is making a business out of it well a good point Edward Bonton and I agree I think I think I think health anxiety is a hugely commercial Prospect because it drives people to find remedies to find Solutions it drives people towards drugs and I think we are in a really dark dark age where if your industry is predicated on people being ill I mean let's look at the the tragic situation with Nadia's friend though you know fingers cross things could be shifting in the right direction for Hannah you know there is a drug will can't get the drug there's a price for the drug we need to test the drug there's a trial of the drug you know all this you know the the kind of pay wall or the kind of the the the the barriers and hurdles put in the way of just getting access to the right drugs and then it's kind of like well you know then there's the prolonging life and then in prolonging life you know how long should we prolong should we live to 140 and if we do huge money to be I mean let's think about it it there's huge money to be made in the potential of immortality not immortality immortality but if we could make people live to 140 and they're just dragging themselves over the line forget social Fabric and the breakdown of society but for those big farmer companies like fiser and what have you wow there's going to be all these people in their hundreds I mean as in people over the age of hundred you taking all these drugs to try and make it more bearable when you start to unpack it you start to think hang on a minute this is totally illogical this is this is perverse this is weird this is weird um so you're right I think whoever said uh Edward you know I think there's huge money to be made in health anxiety and hypochondria but anyway so this is a a new book um and it is that thing of yes you might you might conquer one illness as she did this woman did with cancer then her mental health went down she forever felt every ache and pain was perhaps it returning I don't know how one lives with that that sort of cloud and that fear and again I think of of Nanny D I think of Liz and I think good God yeah I mean if you're not if you're not profoundly robust in a mental health capacity that's that's so so so difficult okay and finally um uh uh uh Emoji semitism what do you think of this guys Leo you said did you you try this I did try this actually I tried typing in type if you're on an Apple device and it doesn't interfere with the you're watching this live tap into it let's do it here let me see if if you tap in Jerusalem Jerusalem oh no this doesn't do Emojis this is the story that's being reported Rachel Riley um she does the numbers on uh on countdown uh she said when she typed in Jerusalem on her iPhone it offered only the Palestinian flag she added that typing out other Capital Cities I tried this too uh including London Washington Paris Berlin did not prompt her device to offer their national flags uh so she made a complaint uh she said show she sent her she accused Apple of racism saying showing double standards with respect to Israel is a form of anti-Semitism which is itself a form of racism against Jewish people please explain whether this is an intentional act by your company or whether you have no control over Rogue programmers sincerely a Jewish woman concerned about the global rise in anti-Semitism what do you think about this guys do you think this is a programmer I mean it's you know I mean weird isn't it the reason I kind of HED in on this is uh oh haven't seen yeah yeah no I've seen Aaron recently that wasn't alive yesterday I think if we haven't heard from Erin in the next couple of days Erin if you're out there say hello I hope you're well sweetie um yes well I mean you know Jerusalem it's one of as they say it's one of the oldest cities in the world bitterly contested by Israel and Palestine Israel principally owns most of it um you know there's part of it the the the the Palestinian uh Authority are allowed to have access to is it East Jerusalem I think um yeah Palestinians claim East Jerusalem um it's it's DP that's a really good point uh that that's my feeling on this Rachel Riley worried about an emoji not thousands of deaths I think my thought on this is perhaps the Palestinian flag coming up when you write in Jerusalem is very small recompense for the fact that Israel owns most of Jerusalem and keeps trying to take more I mean if you've got it if you own it and it's yours but I suppose you know the argument is should any flag come up and if a flag comes up has has a rogue programmer uh perhaps a sympathizer to the Palestinian cause have they rather cheekily popped it in are Emoji decided on the country you're actually in when posting well well I I typed it in and it came up with the Palestinian flag for sure you type Jerusalem not not from within Instagram but when you're just on your Apple device if you're typing like a text or something uh how is the Palestinian flag anti-semitic it's interesting though isn't it take care Freya sending you love sending you much much love um uh but as DP said Riley uh Rachel Riley worried about an emoji but not thousands of deaths but the first thing she'll say to you if you challenge her on that is what about the hostages because we can talk about the weird thing is that we can talk about all of these things in the same breath the awfulness for the hostages but now the disproportionate awfulness of everything that's come since so I think you know you know I think go look to Netanyahu for kind of knocking the balance off quite profoundly there because uh he had the sympathy of the world and he's managed to kind of squander it which is quite quite an achievement um Julie the salt arrived I opened it yesterday I was I was astonished cuz we're having all sorts of issues with our PE so thank you so much thank you yeah no looking forward to I'm going to thrust it at the girls when we shoot the the curly Cooks tonight happy sixth birthday to Luna Luna happy sixth birthday lots of love um guys there you
