(laughs) ( speaking Chinese ) - Three, two, one, what's
going on everybody. It's Xiaoma. We're a little bit of a
different location today. Okay guys, so you guys know that usually I do my Chinese
challenges in New York city but today we're switching
it up a little bit. We are in Taipei, Taiwan. Where you know, in New York
most people speak English, English is like a native language. Here in Taipei, we're
really gonna put my Chinese to the test. And so what I'm gonna do guys, is I am gonna pretend to be
a totally clueless tourist, who can speak no Chinese at all And I'm just gonna go walk
up to people and vendors and stuff, speaking in English,
and then just switch over to Chinese and see what they think. See if my Chinese is really as good in Taipei, as it is in New York. We are gonna see what
happens and I'm very excited and remember guys, if
you guys like this video please remember to leave me and subscribe and stick around for more vids. What is this? - Beef (inaudible) - Beef, wait beef? - Yeah beef. What kind of beef? - Like snake? - Yeah snake. - Oh, and it's like cut up into cubes or, like is it cut up into individual cubes. - Cubes? - Yeah. ( speaking Chinese ) - Hi. Hello? (inaudible) ( speaking Chinese ) - Right we're gonna get some fruit now, lets see about the fruit here. (speaking Chinese) This looks really good. ( speaking Chinese ) Hello, Do you speak any English? - English a little, okay. What's that one? Could I taste it a little bit? (speaking Chinese) Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you. ( speaking Chinese ) Hello. ( speaking Chinese ) Five. 50? Oh. ( speaking Chinese ) This is the most amazing thing. So good. Right, now guys we have
the chance to experience some authentic stinky tofu. I'm excited. Let's go. ( speaking Chinese ) Hi, hello. Ooh smells really good. What's she getting for me? - (Cameraman chuckles) - Wow. ( speaking Chinese ) What is that one? - 16. - 16 for how many? ( speaking Chinese ) - 16. Okay. So 16 for how many? How many? ( speaking Chinese ) - 16 for seven. Oh okay, okay, okay, okay. - You want spicy? - Spicy? Sure, yeah yeah. Oh. ( speaking Chinese ) ( laughs ) ( speaking Chinese ) ( laughs ) (speaking Chinese) ( speaking Chinese ) Hi, hi. What is this? ( speaking Chinese ) What is it? Yeah. ( speaking Chinese ) How much is it? - Oh 40? - Okay. Yeah, yeah Can I get one of these? ( speaking Chinese ) Wow. ( speaking Chinese ) ( speaking Chinese ) - Brown sugar tea? - Uh its a brown sugar, - Can I try it? - Oh it smells so good. Wow. ( speaking Chinese ) Hi. - What? - What? - Automatic? - Oh like these are, like these are I don't know do you think
it's gonna rain today? Like is it gonna rain? - Rain. - Yeah for umbrella, uh huh. What about these ones? What about these ones? - This one? - Maybe. Are these umbrellas too? - This one? Oh. ( speaking Chinese ) So I would say this was a success. When you can convince
people that you grew up in China, you know not
to toot my own horn but I think my Chinese is okay. So anyway guys, thanks all for watching. If you like to see this video again please remember to Subscribe, and we'll see you guys all next time. Maybe in Taiwan, maybe back in New york. See you guys later. ( upbeat music )
