Clove All Abilities Explained | VALORANT New Agent

in today's video I'm going to be talking about everything that you need to know about the new valerant agent clove which will be releasing soon I'm not sure the exact release date I am currently play testing the agent at Riot headquarters clove is a Scottish agent and they have a bunch of very unique abilities that you have never seen before in the game and they are going to be changing the way that valerant is played in my opinion the way that the controller meta is going to be played after you try clove is going to be insane they allow for a unique play style different than every other controller in the game and I'm just really excited to show you guys so first off we're going to start with clove SE ability it's called pickme up and the way it works is after you get a frag you can press your C and you'll actually get a overheal so in a sense the best way to describe it would be similar to a Raina overheal when you get a frag you can overheal yourself for 100 Health as a controller player which obviously makes it so that you are more inclined to take solo fights on controller than you would before CL C ability also only costs you 100 credits compared to Raina where their soul orb cost 200 credits but it does provide a little bit more value because you can dismiss as well now their que ability is also pretty different it is a Decay orb and the way it works is once you throw it it'll have a line of sight that is hit by it it detonates after I believe one 1.2 seconds and when it does make contact with an enemy it will deal 90 Decay damage which actually will make your enemies one shot to a phantom or Vandal if they have half armor cl's metal ability or their Decay orb actually cost 250 credits which is more expensive than the other Decay abilities in the game like iso's undercut which only cost 200 credits clove also has smokes that work very similar to Omen smokes and when you're placing them it does look a little bit similar to brimstone's iPad both smokes will also regenerate after only 30 seconds compared to manen's 40 seconds to regenerate their smoke and the cost of your second smoke is 150 credits which is also 50 credits cheaper than the astar 50 credits more than a brimstone smoke and the same cost as a omen smoke but the best part about clove smokes is the fact that you don't have to worry about dying first as long as you're not lurking you can actually smoke for your team while you are dead and you are out of the round which makes it so that taking early fights on controller is no longer grief for your team which is definitely going to be changing the way that the controller meta is played especially for ranked people are definitely going to be wanting to fill controller now and finally cl's ultimate is not dead yet after you die you can resurrect yourself which means that clove can quite literally self-revive yourself and when you do self-revive you'll have a little bit of a timer that will pop up on your screen that looks kind of like the jet Dash but if you get a kill while this timer is active you will actually respawn into the round but when you do self-revive you do pop into a Rea dismiss form so you kind of need to use it with the correct intention or else the enemy can just run you down and get two frags on you in the round cl's ultimate also only takes seven alt points to use it compared to Sage's ultimate which takes eight alt points and I definitely think that this is going to make Sage picked even less considering the fact that you can now revive yourself for Less alt points than you this round I told woan a strat and I'll show you how it played out am I go top truck go top truck yeah go top truck and after I die got it got it okay I'm going to peek off here woo got F my down I never left enemy one enemy remaining perfect Str now a slight con to Clo's ultimate is the fact that if an enemy just doesn't Peak you after you pop it and they all just run away you just die again can see in this round I got some frags and then died to average Jonas playing in heaven I popped my ultimate and so did he but he was smart enough instead of peing me to just run away this made it so he didn't actually have to kill me to win the round and I literally just lost to him hiding I also think that the Decay orb since it can't be used for lineups it can be used in a bunch of other ways I think a good way to use it personally would be like throwing it into Bain on a scent and having an Odin to spam it since it does 90 DEC damage instantly there would be close to no way to counter it if they are hit by the orb and the Decay orb is actually quite big the amount of space that it actually hits so I think it could be used in a bunch of different ways uniquely but I'd love to hear your guys' ideas in the comments below and one of the biggest problems that I have found so far with clove smokes however is according to my timer they only last 12.25 seconds meaning that after the smoke has formed there would actually be the shortest lasting controller smoke in the game currently Brimstone smoke last 19.25 seconds and Omen last 15 seconds and Astros last 14.25 seconds so if this was the case it would possibly make clove a worst agent for delaying a push on defense by a few seconds as well as you would have to entry with your team a bit faster on attack so far with my impression of attacking while using clove it seems that you have to play more of a hybrid duelist but not a lurking controller as much since the way that the smokes work after you die you are only able to play smokes within the vicinity of where your corpse is meaning that if you ented onto a site and you died you would be able to play smokes for your team there for the rest of the round but if your team does rotate you will have no value in the round other than possibly selling a fake so on attack as long as you play an aggressive play style with your team possibly as a second entry I think this is going to be very strong on maps like Ascent bind Sunset split but possibly not as good on larger Maps like breeze or ice box where Viper and harbor are a bit stronger as their walls will be able to block a bunch more sight lines on defense clove can also be played aggressively but if you're planning on doing this and you're a solo controller it's probably a good idea to position yourself in areas where you can still smoke multiple places after your death for example if you fight catwalk on Ascent mid and lose the fight you'll still be able to smoke for your team if they are pushing a main or if they're pushing mid which will still give you a bit more value than if you were to fight mid on Brimstone or omen or Astra for example overall so far I think will be one of the new meta agents for ranked on attack they offer a ton more value than other controllers since they are able to be played almost as a secondary duelist at this point as well as the fact that we are currently in a double controller meta I think the play style of controllers will genuinely change from this I think clove will probably see some play time in Pro play however I do think the Q ability does offer a tad lless value than the omen paranoia or the Viper smoke orb for that matter which are currently the two most picked controllers in Pro play so I'm curious to see how the meta will shift here's a look at cloves agent contract they have a Gloom heart spray which is just a little pink heart spray or purple heart spray as well as a clove agent card which is pretty nice and then we have the mischievous title which is pretty like meh who really cares as well as the we Punk spray which is actually a pretty awesome spray and then for tier five you have 2,000 Kingdom credits and then the the metal Wings gun buddy at tier six which is just a little butterfly as well as another clove spray which is okay and then the undying title again I don't really personally care for titles but then we have the metamorphis card which is again decent but I really do actually think that the ghost is pretty nice the flutter ghost actually has a moving uh green screen effect butterfly which is in my
