series i believe the preacher preached his heart out this morning and i hope you have been convicted by the holy spirit to give jesus a chance with your life so that you can experience the joy that salvation brings last sabbath afternoon we concluded part two of the discussion the biblical narrative of stewardship and this afternoon we'll be shifting gears to discuss another of our fundamental beliefs uh one of the front of the well belief number 25 of the seventh-day adventist church which has to do with the second coming of jesus christ with me this afternoon on set we have uh elder ruse warren seated to my right which is your left and it's always a joy to have warren on this set and he continues to share the love of god and the word of the lord uh with fervor and passion to my extreme left is pastor rabbi brown and we're happy to have pastor born with us this afternoon once again he was missing last sabbath but he's right back with us this afternoon and uh to my immediate left is ella kingsley clark from the bottom row church and we are indeed happy to have ella clark on set and i am yours truly then cut dire now uh we are going to be discussing uh the second coming of christ and to begin our study pastor brown is going to pray for us as we get started let us pray father we pause this evening on this beautiful sabbath as we open your word we ask for wisdom that your holy spirit will be your teacher and that the listening audience will learn and apply together we can be ready to meet you when you come in peace because we are students of your word so we ask now that you will us teach us through your spirit as we allow ourselves to be used by you we say thanks in jesus name amen amen amen the second coming of christ is a blessed hope of the church it is a grand climax of the gospel pastor brown i'm starting with you this afternoon how will jesus come again that's that's the first question right i talked about how will jesus come again thank you so much pastor uh pastor daya it's good to be back the second coming of jesus is one of the powerful tenets of bible truth and the christian hope ultimate hope in answering the question as to how jesus will come again the bible is very very clear in regards in answering that question and one of the first passages from scripture that i would love to direct your attention to is saint matthew 24 that powerful chapter there in the new testament book and when you read verse 30 and 31 the bible says and then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven and then shall all tribes the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the son of man coming in the clothes of heaven with power and great glory and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other when you look at that passage in particular you you will discover that there are uh in here five uh descriptions of five elements to the second coming of jesus um number one we know that jesus will come personally number two we know he will come visibly uh number three he will come audibly with a sound it shows its own noise and we know that it will be literal and one of the one aspects of it that catch me most is that it will be glorious um and so so these are elements in the matter 24 uh 30 to 31 um those two verses but if if if you're asking me for bible passages then i will hasten to tell you that in in terms of his personal appearing we have acts chapter 1 verse 11 in terms of is visible appearing we have acts chapter 1 verse 10 and 11 for the for the sake of our viewing audience and whereas jesus will come audibly uh the the apostle told us in first thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13 to 18 uh that it will come with the blast of trumpets et cetera and you can't miss that even if you're dead uh because it's the trumpet that we'll call but the sleeping scenes and and then we know that it's coming will be literal um john the revelator pins that beautifully revelation chapter 1 verse 7 and in terms of the glorious nature of his return you have matthew chapter 24 and verse number 30. and so the bible is clear on those matters um pertaining to jesus second coming and it is also true that at jesus's second coming the the dead in christ will rise we will also have the bible teaches that we will have the first resurrection that's the resurrection of the saints and you ask me pastor why is it that that the bible is so pinpoint and clear and precise in regards to the manner of jesus coming and i will answer by telling you that uh god in his wisdom was ensuring that we were protected from any form of counterfeit any form of of uh deception um and and and we we know that the bible speaks of of deception because in matthew we learned that there'll be false christ and uh and personally is over there and he's over here and so the bible safeguards against that that we should not be deceived and and one final note i want to stroke is that in the scheme of of events um regarding surrounding the second coming of jesus uh we find in ii thessalonians chapter 2 verse 8 to 10 the bible says that that then shall the wicked be revealed whom the lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming even him whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders and with all receivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish it because they receive not the love of truth that they might be saved and so in the scheme of saving and salvation and sound and and is visibly appearing we know that the wicked two will be destroyed so the righteous will be saved but we also find where the wicked will be destroyed thank you so much very powerful and passionate response here from uh pastor brown now uh pastor brown has outlined to us the man of his coming ella clarke i'm coming to you now to tell us why is jesus coming back okay thank you very much pastor why is jesus coming back uh in first corinthians chapter 15 paul made a case for the resurrection of jesus and he made two points the first point he made was that if christ be not raised from the dead then our preaching is in vain and later on in that very same chapter he says that if in this life only we have hope then we are of all men most miserable i want to continue paul's argument to say that what he has said of the resurrection is also true of the second coming of jesus christ the second coming of jesus christ is important because it is through the second coming of jesus christ that god christ will continue his work of salvation without the second coming of christ we would not we will not be saved without the second coming of christ there is no resurrection of the dead without the second coming of christ uh there is no new jerusalem what a powerful message we heard today and all that would not be there if there were no second coming so firstly i want to say that if jesus christ is coming to complete his work of salvation which is most important number two why is jesus coming because he promised that he will come back for us in john chapter 14 uh speaking to the disciples who were worried about his death uh he says let not your heart be troubled if you believe in god believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if it were not so i would have told you and then he said i go to prepare a place for you and if i go i will come again the good news is that jesus christ went and we know from logics in maths from college that p then q p implies q so if jesus has gone then he says he will come we are certain that jesus christ will come so he is coming because he promised that he will come back for us and he is coming also because he has promised a reward he says that he has gone to prepare a place for us we learn in revelation that that place of course is the new jerusalem we'll get the new earth as well and so all that we will receive when he comes uh why is he coming he will come to give us our reward our reward which relates to the things i've said before but even more so eternal life all right so we will now have eternal life your eternal life will be consummated let me call it that because when we die now it is only asleep but it is only asleep because at the second coming of jesus he's going to resurrect us and then uh that life will continue so why is he coming he is coming of course to give us our reward why is he coming pastor rabbi i spoke about it uh that the wicked will be destroyed by the brightness of his coming why is jesus coming back he's coming back because he needs to put an end to sin we believe that one day we will not only be rescued from the penalty of sin and from the power of sin but we believe that one day we will be rescued from the presence of sin and when christ comes he's going to eradicate sin totally and everything else that is associated with sin which is the pain uh the death the crime all that will be ended when jesus christ comes so when he comes he will then give the world that is it in a brand new world where that is made new he says that he is now going to give it to his saints and we are going to inherit the kingdom of god so we look forward to the second coming of jesus christ it is critical it is a critical teaching of the church and belief of the church it is essential thank you so much uh elder clark hello and i'm coming across to you so we've looked at the manner uh that that's a whole we've looked at the why now we are coming to ask you when is jesus coming back again well well pastor dyer to tell you the truth no no no but uh the bible is clear that only god knows the time in matthew 24 36 and 44 it says but of the day and the hour north or no man no not the angels of heaven but my father only this is jesus speaking uh and and that is why in verse 44 he said therefore because you don't know when it is going to be at what time he says therefore be also ready for in such an hour as you think not the son of man comment so we are encouraged to be on the alert we don't know the time it can be any time so always be ready that is not to say you know that many persons have not in spite of the clarity of the bible on this um subject of noman knowing there are many persons who have still gone ahead and predicted the time of jesus coming among the catholic christians were apollo nares the younger who suggested that christ would come in 8490 um ipolite in ad500 and and many others among the protestants even martin luther for a brief period suggested a date for christ's coming um and john wesley the founder of the methodist church 1863 suggested that christ would come in in 1836 he believed that um revelation 12 14 referred to the years 10 58 to 1836 when christ should come and even the millerite movement we know that the millerite studying the bible uh you know uh you know had predicted that christ would come october 22 1844 uh you know when i was a student i used to go to new york and i was listening to a gentleman on the radio called harold camping and earl camping always predicted the coming of jesus christ he predicted that christ would come may 21 uh in 2011 but of course that time had passed jesus didn't come he predicted dates after that he's dead no and christ still has not arrived and so we are clear from the word of god that we nobody knows nobody knows and you know it is the other extreme though is that there are those who says because nobody knows then it is an indefinite time in other words christ his second coming is going to be postponed but matthew 24 verse 48 to 50 says but and if that evil servant shall say in his heart my lord late is coming and shall begin to smite its fellow servant and it goes on to say the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looked for him not so the fact that we don't know when doesn't mean that we should um we'd say it is not near and it is not no it is an indefinite period because when you think not the son of man cometh so there's still no time to be careless we have to always be ready now now pastor born i'm coming back to you what about the whole question of the rapture in recent times uh there has been a surge of interest in the belief of the rapture theory and so i'm coming across you pastor what is the root of this this theory the rapture theory uh will be raptured secretly after glory thank you pastor they um they you know it's very interesting um the the all matter of the rapture uh in dealing with the second coming of of jesus christ and uh you know early this morning in in review it i came across the the series the series left behind that that series um and and if i may if i may can i just um paint a little a little scene um pasta dial um if i may i may paint a little scene because um you might be on i'm talking about a rapture now you might be on a boeing 747 plane um flying over the atlantic and uh possibly the passengers are dozing off sleeping a little bit as is customary and you only discover that halfway through the journey one person disappeared from the flight and and that person could very well be the pilot the remaining passengers cry cried scream they leap from their seats and parents are frantically searching for their children but all their children have disappeared in mid-flight mid-flight and and you might be saying but that that pastor is giving us a science fiction or uh a scene from a movie but but this is really uh the idea that is um cultivated and uh and put forward by um two christian artists um uh is it tim tim leahy and jerry b jenkins um and and their book is is well known and and um even up here in new york new york times as a bestseller and so we we have this circulating within christendom and the world at large as that the rapture is a frightening uh phenomena where one person is taken and it could be your wife and then you you wake up and then she's just missing um and and this is really coming from from way back though the root of it is from the counter reformation period where the protestant reformers in the 16th century identify the papacy um as the antichrist and in a counter attack in defending this uh this this this this thought that the papacy is seen and identified as the antichrist you have the jesuits who came forward in defense of of that of that um um idea of the papacy being the antichrist and and so what they did they it was an interplay or on the matter of how they view prophecy um especially the the day for year prophecy and they try to discredit the day for year prophecy where we have uh the 70 um days the 70 years uh they tried to discount the 1260 years and and and in in an attempt they said well uh prophecy is already being fulfilled and so they embrace the preterist view um and we know about the prejudice view we know about it the future is viewed we know about the historicist view and we know about it the idealist view and so they embrace the preterist view and in the scheme of events uh uh identifying prophecies has already been fulfilled um liberia that's another individual came up with a counter argument to say no no no no no you can't leave it in just with the preterist view there is a future event yet in regards to the second coming of jesus and so here is an interplay of of of preterism that deals with that that prophecies are altogether fulfilled historic and done and the futurist view that says prophecies are yet future and will happen and it's out of that interplay that we have the idea of the the rapture being brought into play a little bit of history but very essential all right thank you so much you'll be coming to ella clark in just a moment but we're taking a musical break and we'll be right back with you as we as we continue this very interesting study let me tell you a little bit about what heaven means to me i'm a country where no twilight shadows deepen on and in day where night will never be [Music] it's a city here no storm clouds cannot gather [Music] oh this is just what heaven means to me it's a place where there will be no misunderstanding [Music] to whom the poor heart will be spoken oh this is just what heaven means [Music] oh what will it be when we get over yonder praise god we will join the throne upon the glassy sea we will meet our loved ones and come christ forever [Music] oh this is just what heaven means to me and when at last we see the face of our lovely jesus before whose image all the loves all flee oh when they crown him king of kings praise god i'll be there oh this is just what heaven means to me oh what will it be when we get over yonder praise god we will join the throng upon the glassy sea we will meet our loved ones and account christ forever [Music] oh this is just what heaven means to me oh what will it be friends when we get away under praise god we will join the throng upon the glassy sea we will meet all loved ones and from christ forever [Music] oh this is just what heaven means to me we will meet our loved ones [Music] we will meet all loved ones and we will clown christ forever oh this is just what happened praise god this is just what's happened my friends this is just what heaven means to me thank you so much this is just what heaven means to me all right uh we we are continuing this discussion ella clark i'm coming across to you uh pastor brown made mention of the fact that the the concept of futurism that was proposed by ribera would have led to the rapture theory i i'm ask you to help us understand how this theory developed uh from ribera to where it is now okay uh a pastor so ribeira futurism it is believed laid the foundation for what is now known as dispensationalism and that is a teaching that god deals with his people and salvation of his people in different ways based on the different uh dispensations of course we know from the study of the word of god that all men from adam to the very last man who will be alive will be and are saved the very same way we are saved by grace by god's grace through the death of his son jesus christ those in the old testament era they did so by expressing faith by offering sacrifices which show that they are they believe in the debt of christ who will come and die for them on calvary's cross and those post the cross we express our faith in jesus christ by acceptance of him and through baptism of course i'm being dead with him and we rise to walk in newness of life so we are all saved the same way but it it laid the foundation for that kind of teaching and this man john nelson darby is usually regarded by by many as the father of dispensationalism and he was indeed a bright scholar um he was one who knew many languages he preached fluently in german and french and he translated the new testament in german in french and in english and he was the author of many books a very influential person um he was john darby and he developed as it were an elaborate philosophy of history and in that he taught that there are eight dispensations all right that's right he said that there are eight eras or dispensation each of which contain a different order by which god worked out his redemptive plan i already made the point that god's plan of salvation has always been the same it is by grace and of course in god's dispensation which is just one it is law the law is the standard of righteousness and that which defines sin that was the case in the old testament it's still the case today and then the sacrifice in the old testament was the expression of god's grace and mercy as it were so law in the moral in the moral law grace in the ceremonial law in the new testament it is law in the moral law and grace again in jesus christ who fulfill the ceremonial law on the cross of calvary we are saved by grace and and we keep god's law to remain in a safe position but darby developed that and in his development of this uh of this dispensationalism he also taught that christ is going to come in two stages which now laid the foundation for the secret rapture he believed that christ is going to come invisible at first to rapture secretly on his believers his church and um and then after that he will have that public um ascension his second coming as it were they believe that during the period after that first ascension of god's in god's church invisibly uh that now we will have that other era where the prophecies of the old testament that pointed to israel returning and being god's special people they now teach that that will be fulfilled during that era again we know that is not biblical because god had rejected the jews when they stoned stephen that was the last straw as it were and the gospel went to all men all everywhere both jews and gentiles are now saved the same way way there is no special way of salvation so he taught that pastor and there are other individuals uh who taught that same secret invisible rapturing of the church and then a second period we have some men later on um who who came up and they taught the same thing and today we find that most evangelicals in the united states and elsewhere that they hold on to this teaching of the secret rapture thank you so much now now what we're getting then is that the rapture theory is based on a number of assumptions and and due to time we we hope we can investigate uh even two of them uh as our time is running out and and the two that we will hopefully can look at is that the 70th week of the 70 week prophecy in daniel 9 verses 24 and 27 is still future and and the second one is that the church will not go through the great tribulation or eleven i'm gonna ask you to answer regarding number one uh can this secret rapture theory be verified based on daniel 9 24 to 27 uh and interpretation of the 70th week of that that prophecy i i'm glad you preface your your question by indicating the time because really to to really uh dissect this uh prophecy and to to answer your question it would be very useful to go through the daniel chapter 9 i'm reading from 25 to 27 which speaks of the the 70 weeks prophecy but i hope my my listeners my readers remember uh this prophecy when we went through it because we are unable to go through it but we know that uh six to nine weeks were given and then we had a another week um that was mentioned there no we talk about the dispensaries um dispensationalism or that elder spoke about according to their view after the 69 weeks at the end of the 69 weeks that ended the triumphal entry of jesus into jerusalem for them the 70th week that one week period is separated from the 69 weeks now that 70th week there is a period or an interval an interlude an indefinite period between the sixth the ending of the 69 week and the beginning of the that last 70th week there's a period so for them prophecy that that prophecy stopped on easter sunday when christ died that prophecy stopped and will only pick up as elder says after the rapture so there is going to be an interlude after the rapture that um where israel would be restored basically that's what the dispensary sellers view is suggesting here but we know that there is no logic uh reasoning to logical reason to separate the 70th week from the 69 weeks prophecy it is one prophetic um there is no other you know time prophecy in scripture which has such a gap between uh the 69 week and the and the 70th week and and when we look at daniel uh chapter 9 and verse 25 to 26 we realize it is speaking about the messiah the entire prophecy is about the messiah coming and we know what the messiah came to do we we know that during the first half of the week he would strengthen or confirm the covenant in other words christ's teaching you know exalted um the law and and and he strengthened it and then in the middle of the week the prophet says he would make what cut off which means that he would bring an end to the sacrifices and we know when christ died that we no longer needed the ceremonial sacrifices that usually take place and and so the sacrifices ended and so here it is telling us clearly that that one week period also was fulfilled when jesus christ ended his ministry made a sacrifice and as elder says we israel was finally rejected um when they stoned stephen so it is not a future that the prophecy will be fulfilled that prophecy has been fulfilled in the messiah the prince who came and established the covenant thank you so much uh and so pastor brown the second part of the question is will the church god's faithful people go through the great tribulation dispensationalism says that no they will not now i'm asking will the church go through the great tribulation uh and so pastor you you said the dispensationalism yes that view says that they will not go through a great tribulation um that they'll be raptured um so i would want to answer the question but like pastor breivik said one day on this program say you want to answer the question but the clock is giving him a hard time uh because i'm not sure if the time we have now will allow me to answer the question in full since there are so much to the question all right so yes here's what we'll do possibly we'll have to to defer that to a part two and i'll ask you a more simple question uh which is how do i prepare how do i prepare for christ's second coming we will do part two of the study next week what how how do i now prepare for christ second coming how can i be ready for the coming of the lord uh good question it is always important to be to be ready at all times matthew 24 um our viewers can read this passage matthew 24 42 to 44 we are to be ready when our lives uh when we when when our life belongs to jesus and we live in in constant readiness in constant relationship with jesus christ then then we are ready martin luther talked about um expecting the day of the soon coming of of jesus christ and said that we should expect that day with a sense of joy and he continued he says whosoever is not ready and does not desire today does not understand the lord's prayer nor can he wholeheartedly pray the lord's prayer um thy will be done thy kingdom come and earth as it is in heaven and so we know that jesus is coming and for the christian we are to be in a constant permanent state of of readiness living with uh this state of readiness means then that we are in a blood wash relationship with jesus christ mark 16 16 says he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be dumb and so we have that permanent belief that permanent faith in in christ um as children of god we are to look forward to the soon coming of jesus christ and when you look at in the book of revelation we find that john the revelator asks us to always be in that constant mind frame that constant state of readiness paul in ephesians chapter 5 verse 15 and 16 says since then that he walks circumspectly not as fools but as wise redeeming the time because the days are evil and then when you get to mark chapter 14 verse 38 the bible says watch he and pray lest he enter into temptation the spirit truly is is ready the spiritual is ready but the flesh is is weak and so we have here uh a plethora of passages uh a number of bible passages that that challenges us uh to to to stay in a state of constant readiness and and we even wanna look at the great um commission that has been given by jesus christ we know that in fulfilling the commission uh it puts us in a state of readiness i will end with matthew 24 verse 14. the bible says and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come and so what just happened in nature speaks is is preparation is a part of the fulfillment or the accomplishment of that readiness in that the gospel is going leaps and bounds it's going to different quarters it has now been brought by satellites and when the gospel would have gone to the to the end of the world then we know that jesus will come and because this is happening and we are seeing it with our naked eyes it calls for a permanent constant state of readiness thank you so much thank you so much our time is up viewers uh thank you for joining us unfortunately we are out of time for today but we will continue this study next week on the matter of the second coming i see someone asking the chat does 70 adventists believe in the secret rapture no we don't believe in the secret rapture we believe that jesus is coming again he is coming in power and great glory and as pastor brown started the study it will be visible audible literal we're gonna see it all thank you so much for joining us today uh we will indeed be back with you next week for another intriguing study as we continue to look on the second coming of jesus christ i invite you then to bear heads with me as we pray to close our study let us pray father in heaven thank you so much for the opportunity to share in the study of your word let your holy spirit continue to guide us as we continue to study and to learn a few is our asking in jesus name amen amen all right thank you so much pastor for that beautiful bible class and uh other colleagues talking about the second coming of jesus christ of course it is real and so we're encouraging everyone to make sure that you're in preparation mode for the second coming of jesus well we continue this afternoon's program of course and the program continues we do have our mentorship segment coming up right now with the president and i hope and trust that you're very much in that mode because it is a wonderful segment indeed before we even get to the mentorship segment we do have a very special song coming up at this time humble thyself in the sight of the lord humble thyself in the sight of the lord and he will lift you are [Music] of is he died to stand men free he died amazing grace how sweet [Music] amazing grace [Music] like me i once was lost but now i'm found i once was lost but now was blind but now i see one blind but now i see when we've been there ten thousand years [Music] [Music] we no less days to see god's grace [Music] god's grace then when we first [Music] when we first begun so you must humble thyself in the sight [Music] oh [Music] he said that he will lift you i know that he will lift you up so you must humble thyself in the sight of the lord he died and a humble thyself in the sight of the lord because he will lift you up i know that he will lift [Music] he promised that he will lift amen amen amen indeed amen amen amen indeed the bible says he that exalted himself shall be a base but he that humbles himself shall be exalted the gentleman they remind us that if we humble ourselves in the sight of the lord he will definitely lift us up so we are moving on a note or mentorship segment where we have pastor glenn o samwell's uh superintendent ellis and a host of other persons who will be divulging in some deep interested discussion this evening remember it's mentorship continue to share that link and we also want to extend congratulations we have reached the 50 000 subscribers and we're asking you to continue to share the link because we want to keep growing and growing in christ here so we're returning over now to pastor glenno samwells and the team for mentorship connection stay tuned thank you so much i am being directed as to which of these persons i should look at and i have chosen the lady in red to focus on that camera she looks far better than the man to my extreme left before me but welcome to the conversation and um before i get into that i'd like to again express uh condolences to the members of the family both the church family and the wider community family who have lost loved ones during this week i have heard of some of the debts uh since exiting the platform at the end of our worship service and our hearts go out to those family members and for those who missed it sister phyllis clark long-standing loved revered treasurer of the petersfield church we have grown to love her and her children and after i buried mother phyllis i got joan as my little sister and you know my last birthday was at her house surprisingly someone sent me a picture of the cake and joan lost the battle with life during the week and our hearts go out to her daughter and her siblings be assured of our prayers and then one day in the week might have been tuesday or wednesday i had the privilege of praying with kd knight former minister of government and the senior attorney prayed with him for himself and his wife who was battling in the hospital sister knight lost the battle i gather i think she died yesterday our hearts go out to uh circadianite and stacy and the other family members our prayers go with you as we journey together we share our mutual roles and to all the other persons um whose names i may have forgotten but uh be assured we are praying you up and we look for the day when death itself shall die welcome to the conversation i needed to do one other thing too uh so from our friends in the us and our friends in canada thank you for your love letters as you reach out to us helping us to lend a hand not only to youngsters but to struggling persons and i am happy to report that uh to our brother who we've asked for assistance for his pacemaker and heart challenge we will be handing over a little over five hundred thousand dollars to him during this week we thank you for your assistance and said uh i know he's watching i'm gonna ask you uh monday and tuesday are days to tana yaya uh wednesday morning bright and early i'll be here at the office and i look forward to seeing you so we can hand that over and um my friend in canada i just want to to hold up i have got your love letter it's in my hand so that um my colleague i won't call his name the bearer in whose hand you put the precious love letter he took it to my office yesterday and he delivered it i have it in my hand i was trying to call you to express ten thousand thanks to you for your love ten thousand times and over may god bless you as you reach out to those who are less fortunate to the numerous persons we we stand together ready to do our best to help you along the journey of life and so we pick up the conversation but let me do so with we're sharing something with you i think it was june june 10 yes june 10 of this year there was an article in the gleaner about saint james and its crime stats the article said said james leads the west in terms of murders but i'm happy to report and you heard uh we mentioned last week we have moved down from 300 to 100 i hope it's under 100 now uh and i'll come to see the superintendent in a while but but we give god thanks for the downward trajectory the downward trending of the crime monster in our parish it is our hope as we continue the conversation that you would believe with us that our young people can see a better day that you would believe with us that we cannot produce enough police officers and soldiers on every street corner to deal with the issue of changing human behavior ours is the unshakeable conviction that it takes all of us to make a difference for the rest of us and that each of us together can do a little bit it might have been robert francis kennedy who said that you may not have the power to bend history by your words and actions but each of us by our little deeds can make this place a better place and that's where we are with our youth mentorship program in a nutshell i'd like to thank my former secretary mrs melissa and soel who came up with eyes that's the acronym empowering youth engaging society and the eyes mentorship program is steadily moving forward ours is the aim of mentoring 7 000 youngsters from the streets of western jamaica and i'm happy to report that through our youth department from the days of pastor christopher harvey on to pastor dwayne jones and with the mantle on the shoulder of uh my admin assistant who has her first degree in social work mrs kedaisha moet grant along with her team they're doing a fantastic job uh zeroing on a completing the training of 1 000 senior mentors and with the trajectory of each one having at least seven we will not fool ourselves in believing that every youngster who comes to church is a saint what we do know is that we are happy there in church and together we hope to keep them there and through them the church is the salt of the earth to impact our society and i am delighted again to welcome back on set back on the platform back with us and i'll begin by saying that he has his first degree from northern caribbean university i gotta boast about my school and and call him my brother man in in the connection of the school yes and uh in a while i i will ask him to tell us a little more about uh the next powerful gentleman that is sitting beside me i'm looking for uh something but but a mischievous streak is coming over me and uh i can't help myself sometime i am just my mother's son so let me put it this way we are tall alike i just say we are tall alike and i don't know who wrote it but somebody said powerful things come in small packages it's just that i am the exception to the rule but i'd like to to to welcome uh lieutenant colonel chaplin henry i'm no no it is it is champlini henry i shouldn't have come up here without my glasses don't you know and um i have done violence to his name let's hope you won't take me over to so-so but but but we're very delighted and so let me connect you if you're just joining us last week we were blown away by the social uh interaction that senior superintendent ellis i really want to say deputy commissioner ellis is is having in in leading his team in providing a new kind of policing in providing this kind of conscientious uh transformation and you heard it from him last week that he has not settled with the group age group 18 and over he is going straight down to five and even under five and we welcome him back and um you haven't seen wayne and milton uh in a while and wayne is right to my extreme left and built into my extreme right and uh there's only one rose among the i never said the rest of the story we welcome lady kamara dixon with us uh superintendent senior president ellis so i am asking you to help me welcome and you can say a little more about my very tall friend sitting right beside me uh he's right between us i gather he is the uh commanding officer on the ground for all the activities in the western region for trelloni for saint james for westmoreland and for hanover we could call him president because it sounds like the same territory that i am president over and so uh he will tell us a little bit but i'll tell him that we have 246 congregations in the four parishes i've said james hanover westmoreland and synthetic roughly 62 pastors they're about and some uh close to a hundred thousand baptized members and uh today we thank god we added some more uh to that and i want to join in in celebrating today's uh commanding officer we cross the mark with 50 000 subscribers actively engaged on our platform and along with those there are persons now joining us across the caribbean from trinidad from barbados from the cayman islands uh you name the caribbean from as far back as africa and uh our friends in the u.s and if i start calling the the states i will run in trouble but all across the u.s and canada there are thousands of them who are connected with us every week and we welcome your company commanding officer welcome thank you and uh no no now your friend our mutual friend tells me that you're a man from the west as well because anybody who who go to school whether it be ncu or cornwall college or herbert morrison i claim them as as sons of the west uh tell us a little bit of your western connection and what you do now a good afternoon come from hear me okay thank you sir for the introduction i'm that's not kind of champlain in henry i am born in saint james i went to county college again born in saint james yes all right isn't it um and as you alluded to my responsibilities in terms of the stewardship of the soldiers here in western command spans from trollon in saint james hannover westmoreland and saint elizabeth one of the primary functions of the jdf is to support our jcf counterpart now you made a a very significant point in your open remarks which suggests that the approach to reduce or to prevent crime is not a a uniformed matter i is not solely up to the jd for the jcf but it's a collective it's a holistic approach and um everyone needs to play their little part as that's taken from you um and uh so seeing a sprint and ellis has a program are a path that we share equal interests and i say we know as an organization as organizations no seeking a dynamic approach in reducing our sovereign crime is the best approach so i think last week and this week we were engaged in as jasif program where we were interacting with the younger age group youngsters who were either entering high school or about to enter high school in terms of the intro grade and our interaction with them we saw that they realize that they too can become us and they didn't see us with weapons or coming to arrest them or detain them but they saw us demonstrating to them that there is another way and that way was through education now in looking at a holistic solution this is an essential part to reducing their crime monster i i particularly like the statement when you say they too can become us a part of what we advocate on this platform and it gave birth to if you look on the jacket of the man well dressed to my extreme right you'll see in gold three c's because in our conversation a few months ago he spoke about these three c's choice chance and change and we've used that in in multiple ways but we've credited him for it and he has uh owned it as rightly he should and they also have made the choice to experience meaningful change and and they have been saying uh commanding officer to others that they too can become us and so uh see president ellis senior superintendent ellis you have been a very busy person uh can you share with our viewers and listeners a little bit of that social transformational aspect that the jcf under your leadership has been involved in you sir ma'am and all our listeners um thank you for having me all right so yeah the programs will just continue from where we left off and one of the major reasons for even bringing my counterpart who is pretty much going down the same route of supporting these social programs you know you mentioned that the crime situation was very bad it was far up in the 300s and now it's lower down in the close 100 region but wonderful we would really want it to be zero you know but you know in a real world there are a lot of things that we will have to do to secure that further reduction so you know the the community programs they for me and i would say the security forces we're seeing the crime situation as just a symptom of the real social problem and that is why we're kind of targeting the social aspect of things because we're securing the future i know a lot of the work that we're putting in now on the social side some of it will not naturally mature right now you know but you know four five ten years you're going to see some significant transformation inside of the west um the military has a jnsc program to that i'd like maybe colonel henry to you know tell you exactly what that program is doing for a lot of youths inside of the region and because that's a significance to hear that yes i i i know that if you tell me he's doing something significant i'm going to judge him from what i've seen you do uh commanding sir would you share a little with us okay um the jnc program the acronym abbreviation um stands for jamaica national service corps the jdf has five lines of effort and the national service score falls squarely under the youth engagement lines of effort um what is the program so the program is our main source of engagement and recruitment and it is targeted at the at-risk youth and after a year of engagement with the jdf um they will have learned lifelong skills and those who wish to transition will transition become soldiers tell me something how long ago that program got started and i'll after you answer me i'll tell you why i ask but awesome stuff you're getting camara excited over here so the program started in 2016. 2016 right and this is a branch of um the prime minister's initiative from the it started as the so it's a branch from the whole program which started as legs which learn earn give and save and then it transitioned to the jamaica national service corps so it's it's it's pretty much a part of the hope program okay now let me tell you why i ask you if you dig up the archives of the gleaner and the observers somewhere around 2009 2010 i gave a speech in kingston looking at the runaway in discipline among our teenagers and stuff i challenged the government then and i spoke i still believe passionately in it my mouth many times gets me in trouble but since i haven't started paying taxes for it yet i'll keep on speaking my conviction i said then that when you look at the thousands of youngsters on the street corner that it would have been a wonderful thing uh to get them into the military kind of uh program where they can learn the discipline of the army learn a skill and the clean on the following morning even on its online space was the buzz that pastor calling for militarization of our youngsters and stuff but but i still believe that and i am happy that that at least some semblance of that is taking place i believe with all my heart that in discipline is a negative thing in in in the caribbean in jamaica in in many countries and if our youngsters can be in a program where they learn a skill learn the discipline even if they can't get a job after if they don't get a job and i'll come to that immediately afterwards at least there would have been some transformation of their behavior i would i'm going to predict that they must make you a full colonel for the army and keep you in the west or you put me in trouble um so but so far the the program has seen a throughput of roughly 4 500 youngsters since its inception with a total in terms of um gender 300 sorry 3700 males and roughly 770 females camaro so you're trying to have a place there oh boy i i have to speak for you so um for the for the math persons in the audience um the female portion is over 20 okay tremendous uh i'm going back on the segment you made earlier and i'll engage wayne and uh milton milton and wayne i'll give you 30 seconds each lieutenant commander said that part of the reason the jdf is getting involved in that kind of transformation in in dialoguing and interacting with the youth and the corner and those in the community is to give them this sense of hope that they too can become us what does that say to you they too can become us it is brilliant because even something you said just know about militarizing the youths if you don't do it the street is going to do it because coming up i can tell you are you i am coming from that background and most of us we were chosen from as young as age 13. why because youths they are loyal you can't tell them to do anything and one of the things that persons don't understand most of your raids the reason why it don't go anywhere you see some youths on the corner they're playing marble they're doing something and some of the times i think it misses because if you notice some of the times when you are going into eras everyone is scatter running but those are not frightened so those would be the communication to put the message across and this is what i'm telling you this thing that i know so you see if you can do that to change their mindset from that in what they are doing it's a good move thank you wayne milton uh yeah i said to you that um yeah we're aware and that is why we've shifted our focus to this target group because really and truly a lot of persons who are involved in crime now they'll either mature in to stop being involved in crime and start getting settled down getting a home or they'll die because uh what they're involved in and then the age group that you mentioned now will be replacing them in five years you know so that is why our approach to change the mindset of our youngsters to prevent them from walking into these similar footsteps brilliant brilliant thank you milton president 30 seconds what does that statement mean to you that that that when folk look on persons like commanding officer ellis and uh jdf head for the western region for the time being and soon for the nation i predict uh what what does the statement mean to you it means a lot you know mr president good evening to the viewers again because you know i mean wipe it off mean a lot because what they are doing the countries in need of it you know i mean and i applause both of them for what they are doing because what i've said i'm speaking from this tree standpoint just as way i would have been a person who would have probably involved in certain things because of lack of knowledge but when i would have come into the knowledge and realized that what i'm doing not just hurting myself but others around me because whatever you do it's like a domino effect because a person might feel like going out there and commit some crime and he or she died it just end right there no you're still in danger you're fumbling alive that's all the bible said blessed are the peacemaker because they shall be called the sons of god where they are peace the people flush and where there is war the people perish thank you now now they were pointing to me superintendent elisa there was music and i kept looking i kept looking but i couldn't see anybody my tall friend over younger knows i can tease him and get away with it we're going to take a musical break as oh bill will we'll add some music for our listening pleasure we'll come right back to the conversation [Music] i had many tears in sorrow i had questions for tomorrow but there's been times i felt so all alone but in my lonely hours those precious lonely hours jesus lets me know that i am still this old [Music] i've been through a lot of places and i've seen a lot of places but there's been times i felt so all alone [Music] but in my lonely hours yes those precious lonely hours might jesus let me know that i am still his own that's why i sing to it all through it all i learned to trust in jesus i've learned to trust in my god do it all [Music] i've learned to depend upon his words to depend upon his words [Music] i thank god for the mountain i thank him for the valleys and thank him for the storms he brought me through or if i didn't have a problem i'd never know my god could solve them and i never know what faith in god could do that's why i think through it all do it all i've learned to trust in jesus i've learned to trust in god do it all [Music] [Music] upon this words i've learned to depend upon [Music] [Music] learn to trust in jesus now uh we're missing one member he'll be back shortly uh he's always uh on call and um we thank god for how he's using these rockets kamara you were chuckling a little while ago can you tell me why you were chuckling i i want uh see the super denalis to hear what you were whispering to me oh man well the question was picked up from the chat and it was directed to pastor pastor wayne clark and the question was how does it feel to be sitting next to a police officer and a soldier without having to run like how does that feel seriously i'm aware i'm aware of obvious and his program and i'm happy for that you know i want to see a lot more of those success stories and um you know i was just doing the mata a while ago from the military side and the school resource programs the police youth club programs plus the school initiative programs that we're doing i'm seeing for saint james alone where we've targeted some close to nine thousand youngsters you know and um we want more success stories so while we're doing the hardcore crime-fighting aspect that manages the crisis from the crime itself we're bringing up that parallel approach on the back end to support the security of the future you know and that's one of the reasons to why i find your program so very important too because even the data that was shared a while ago it's really difficult to see a platform that would advertise that all of this good work is being done you know most times what's on the front page is bad news and the other medias that may carry things they're not necessarily going to dig so deep to get these things out on the surface and get these success stories and we want to see a lot more and i you know i'm thinking that a lot of things that we're enjoying now some guys researched these things some two 300 years ago and made it possible for us so our job is to do our best now for the future so those who will come later down will have a better future a safer environment a better jamaica thank you and that's part of our mantra as we carry the mentorship program we believe passionately in social intervention that has a spiritual center and we feature on this platform persons who have come from the other side of the coin and who can testify by lip and by life of the transforming power of god's grace for we believe that to educate a man in mind and not in morals and heart will still make him a minister society we believe that total transformation deeds with the head and the heart the honorable prime minister uh i think was in january this year spoke about the hardware and he said that the medicine is in the church and we don't take lightly our role as church people and when in our conversation i discovered what you're doing i said that ought to be noised abroad because as you rightly said most of what is carried on the newscast is just the bad news the murder and i am not saying that we should push it under the carpet i'm saying that we ought to give give a shout out and pick up the good things the the governor general's statement and is swearing in is something that that i want to turn on the other side that jamaica is being destroyed by what is wrong with jamaica but we want to what is right with jamaica and in the words of the governor general the most honorable sir patrick allen there is nothing wrong with jamaica that cannot be fixed by that which is right with jamaica and it is all of that together the the preaching of the gospel the declaration of the everlasting gospel the declaration of the three angels message that seeks for the transformation of not only those in the street but the transformation of those in authority the transformation of those who wear the uniform and those who reach out to others and so here we have with us two gentlemen who whose words and actions worked hand in hand and i have known see discipline and else for a while and i've said it behind his back that he's one of the finest gentlemen that i have had the honor of conversing with and uh commissioner we meet sometimes and i'll tell you that i i speak my mind and now i'll say to the jdf senior commander in kingston i am getting to know he's putting him in trouble so he did put me in trouble so it's your time you know yeah he's gonna put his finest men in in the camouflage uniform but he's no camouflage you know i just want to say a lot of people really underestimate what the military does in this region you know you know seeing them as soldiers you know they're soldiers but you know that's from the past they are solidly aiding in the transformation process of the west in securing the future of the west in making persons safe you know it's a big contribution from the jdf side in terms of securing this entire region you know so it's something that is to be noted lieutenant commander um you know i'm going to tell you sometimes on the street they said boy when the soldier my name coming is deadly business because um they mean around they're not even smile but he's smiling tell me what is your concept of the soldier come talk of the thing man what i'll borrow and the clock says time's up i'm going to steal five minutes they're going to kill me but um i'm already up here the the most thing i can remember about the soldiers um most persons who don't want to come in contact with them because they never stop running in other words if they are chasing you it no matter where you're running no matter where you're jumping and they have a lot of big heavy things on them and they are jumping things and others so persons are always afraid of them because it is very difficult to get away from them i don't know what the training where they can't get tired milton it is true i mean mostly guys out there they would have probably sometimes want to challenge that the police officers but when they see this soldier they know it's a different ball game so they really will try to get away from them these guys these guys run for off huh yeah these guys these guys play rough but but you'd agree with me that's the times there are times when when when that kind of uh at least perception ought to be given yes sir the guy said that oh this was just really rampant and it's it's interesting to see the sides because i saw the slides that went up where colonel henry was doing some peer counseling lectures to kids earlier on on your slideshow myself we were talking to them that's colonel henry there he's lecturing some kids with that jesus program you know telling them about developing a brand and quite a few stuff reaching out to them to show them a human side of the security forces uh myself was there to teaching them how to handle peer pressure you know and how to respond to different changes from primary school to high school so you know you would say that's not a police work and that's not a military work but it's the transformation we see this as something that will solve the situation on the ground and we're going to go above and beyond what is required to secure this western region wow wow and uh you had a question for lieutenant come on right about the initiative that you described earlier i saw a comment in the chat that said well there are many young people out there who doesn't want the programs that the government has in store but for those who are pretty much interested in it how can they become a part of this program and and who is an at-risk youth all right so let's answer the first question first how can i become a part of the program well first of all they need to know what the program entails the program [Music] looks at person between the age group of 18 to 23 so that is the age requirement slash age gap for as a prerequisite entry now the program has five phases and over the period of the one year as the president would have alluded to you would have come across one identifying pretty much who you are because the program will bring you to the rigors to test your mental state your physical state and the thing about being a soldier is not necessarily being physical it's having it's have a mental fortitude now and with everything that you will ever do there is a way or we say it's a systematic approach so let's use a simple analogy if you know what is required and you can identify with someone or a group that they can do it chances are you can do it wow right um so all right let's use me as an example i don't like the typical soldier however my mental fortitude is borderline stubborn and as as the analogy you'd have or experience if it is that we're set to accomplish something it will be done you feel like you're a stubborn little fellow with your growing up you know um no for the person's listening um the information can be had about the program um via join the jdf.com so join the jdf is one word or lowercase it tells you the prerequisite it tells you what are the requirements and actually gives you some tips to be prepared because at the initial onset there is a pretty much an entry test to see your intellectual educational level there's a physical there's a medical and there are some other requirements because a part of what we do and most persons already recognize is that we are here to serve so and in serving then you have to put aside your personal gains for a greater good i love that in serving you have to put aside your personal needs for the greater good and i would say persons can choose to seek employing persons from that pool you know it's easy for a lot of groups those persons who went through this program they're a lot more disciplined they are ready for employment so you know that's an easy pool for us to look at tapping into to get some of these persons working for your companies now and your different groups and get them employed thank you our time is gone and these guys will throw stones at me but i want to say somebody may be wondering uh why are we talking this way in in this context it is my conviction that that christ refers to the church as the salt of the earth i've never seen salt on the top of the pot impacting what is inside the pot i'm not a very good cook but i've always believed that if the salt is going to affect the food it must be mixing with the food the church therefore has a role to play in impacting every level and every strata every corner of society wherever human needs and human was abound that's where our mentorship program is focused we we are looking at uh helping to make our youngsters better citizens of this country and preparing them to be citizens of the world to come uh senior super told last week that it would take part two now i look on the clock and i see minus 8 28 which tells me that i have gone 8 minutes and 31 seconds above my time it means therefore that um commanding officer in the jds and commanding officer for the jcf we are on next week we are on next week for part three because we believe the story needs to be told i i i passed i i i told you i drive through norwood many times on my way here to get it from a traffic but also to meet the guys on that side and i see the army and stuff but i i never know that they're involved in the kind of integral social interaction and intervention program and as you see the pictures on the screen geared towards impacting youngsters and the church is saying we are we are partnering with the jcf and the jdf and with triple c and with wayne and with the guys in sewell gully and the ones in canterbury and the ones in granville and flankers and westmoreland and russia because it's about this issue that we cannot produce enough soldiers and police officers to fix jamaica and the only power that can fix the human heart is the power of the almighty god i'll give one last sentence to each of the person with me here and we'll start with milton but milton look at the clock it says minus nine minutes and 58 seconds yes good evening to the viewers again yeah would have heard everything that we said now god has given you a chance today to hear this conversation so now make a choice and doing the right thing and being able to change for our youth of today's society boy i need to give missing a gold medal who would have thought that means i want to just make one all right so yeah it's it's i think it's all of us as a country it's our social responsibility all are you jamaicans living abroad living all over the world you know it's your responsibility you know the love that we have for our beautiful country you know that we partnership to secure the future of our nation you know this is something that we must do you know and you you keep referring to what the the governor general has said you know there are a lot of good things about jamaica they think church putting the bad things at the front you know we need to incentivize the good things keep doing more good things keep making programs that can secure the future of our nation and get all hands on deck to let this thing work out all right thank you and i come to my very tall friend right beside me this is not your clothes anymore this is a party with until next week okay um while sitting here i thought what to say and what came to mind was out of many one people wow wow to to get our nation better and i i said it earlier it is not a not a security force problem it is our problem and um we and i said we um superintendent ellis and i seeing [Music] the problem as what it is up front and close up front and close then we realize that we have to take a multi-faceted approach now and he started everyone doing their utmost best or creating their brand as what i alluded to the youngsters when i spoke to them and i can quickly go through the acronym um b is to be your best ours to be resourceful a is having the right attitude and n is never quit and d is that your destination is up to you i love that one your destination is up to you what a word so so next week you'll hear more about the destination uh when he comes back wayne your parting word for this afternoon well what i want to say if maybe there's any you out there watching with from that field i would say it is a joy to be in a old situation like this and to be a part of something like this but then there's no way i could be sitting next to the police or the soldier and then go back to my people i would be seen as an infarmer and be killed the fact that i have been given this chance i can sit here i will be going home and you will receive me next week again so i show that we are not scaring so it's a joy to show that the police can come together and want to do something to get to good and the jdf as well so that is my part in word so in in the words of our jdf commanding officer that that they can become us yes that's the proof of it they are watching wonderful come on and i have been rehearsing in my head what i really want to say and it's all wrapped up in what you said sir that service is reliable putting aside your need for the greater good and all of that is wrapped up and tied up and salted up in our efforts as the church at jcf and the jdf in just making this issue of crime and violence or this the whole degradation of society society as our responsibility doing the best that we can to ensure that our youth see a better path thank you our young people are anxiously waiting to take over we've borrowed some time from you i'll give it back to you here's what i'll do tomorrow monday and tuesday i'll give you all the time i borrowed from you for this afternoon so you can take all of the time tomorrow monday and as a matter of fact you're going to be owing me some time when we come back my parting word please observe the government's protocol it's a complete lockdown we've got to do all we can do to protect each other yes as we wrap up we will feed the hungry as best as we can we will seek to clothe the naked as best as we can to visit those who are not only incarcerated in government facilities but at home and in circumstances by their attitude but we know and this is our conviction that only god can change the human heart and so we will preach until the last day comes we will seek to reach all we can reach but let us join our hands and hearts together to give the youngsters of this country a fighting chance to make something better of their lives let's go to our community and show them that there is a better way let's let's join then when i shaken with my friends when we all meet in that great city i'd like to talk it over [Music] [Music] come on and thank him for his wonderful wonderful love with the millions of redeemed ones i'm sure i'll be happy for the joy the cup of gladness will [Music] i know i have caused jesus some deep tears of sorrow but i'd like to [Music] over [Music] oh [Applause] [Music] [Music] and thank him for his wonderful wonderful love be singing hallelujah forever and ever so when the bride grew mr bright there in jerusalem [Music] with god [Music] yes was [Music] but i'd like to talk it over [Music] [Music] oh [Music] oh you loved [Applause] [Music] in that city [Music] and thank him for his wonderful wonderful [Music] many many many men don't you want to talk it over with god man you're free to do that talk it over tell him what's on your mind and i wonder if you or viewers have noticed that from morning until now the theme of the day has been surrounded on the coming of christ and it's no wonder this evening that the ay group from hanover march town seventh-day adventist church to be exact will be asking us the question is it the end i believe the holy spirit is working and somebody needs to give their life to god because it is indeed the end i'm gonna hand over right now to the group from the march down seventh day adventist church in hanover to take us into another ay program be blessed everyone and thank you for joining us for this evening's ny program my name is denisha stewart and i am here with a group of youths from the marched on sda church in hannover and this evening we will be having a panel discussion on is this the end our panelists are felicia ellison everyone jen day henry nikoi wilson and our intern pastor in the march town district of church is pastor walker as a seventh day adventist our very name suggests that we are looking forward to the second coming we are looking forward to the end time and we study the word of god in light of the scripture and we look at current happenings to see where we are in time while we may not know when christ will come we can be assured that the scripture does not lie and we are given certain signs that we ought to pay attention to so my panelists the first question this evening do you believe that this is the end of time do you believe that we are living in the end time sister ellison you may go first yes i believe we are living in the end time we were told there would be signs of the end time and looking around we can see the earthquake in different places also we have heard about the earthquake in haiti it has affected many persons in haiti destroying their homes many lives have been lost right yes we are living in the end time so this agenda what current events do you see happening which may be considered as end time events yes i do believe we are living in the end of time because we are seeing rumors of war pestilence uncurable disease natural disaster as the bible tells us in matthew 24. what what about you sister wilson what do you think yes i strongly believe that we are living in the end of times growing up i've always heard people saying god so come oh yes as of me growing knowing more about christ by engaging in the bible current events that or occurring no like wars and conflict with israel and gaza nation rising against nations u.s and korea natural disaster that 7.2 magnitude earthquake that took place in haiti false prophecy that there was this video circulating on social media about three days of darkness these are all signs of end of time oh yes so my question to you pastor walker we've always been been seeing signs so why is it that the signs that we are seeing now are so different what what's so different about them why we believe that we are in the end time aside from the the fact that there has been an increase in natural disasters and diseases such as kovid 19 that has held the world captive for over a year the hearts of men are going colder you've seen murder is on the rise the bible says in verse 14 of matthew chapter 24 that this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for witness unto all nation and then shall the world come and so god wants to make sure that everyone hears his word the gospel will be preached and everyone will have a witness and then the end will come and i believe that even with the advancement of technology people around the world which would have not have access to the word of god no is here in the gospel and so we can see that the end is near because the gospel is moving forward and all these signs are fulfilling oh yes so we've been seeing all these signs and in addition to that the most important one that was mentioned just now is that the the gospel is being preached all over the world persons everywhere are getting a chance now to hear the word of god but i am concerned we are talking about the different signs the the earthquake in haiti um the the violence that is increasing and all these things does the bible confirm what's happening at the last days event sister ellison yes the bible has confirmed one of the events taking place now is the coronavirus as we all know right and the coroner it has affected everyone worldwide matthew 24 7 talk about the pestilence that will come upon us and right now the biggest pestilence that we are seeing now is the coronavirus sister henry what do you think does the bible confirm what's happening at the last days events yes second timothy 3 1-5 proves it it says but understand this that in the last days there will come times of difficulty for instance people are becoming lovers of themselves also you see sons and daughters fighting their parents the verse also speaks about ungrateful unholy heartless and lovers of money complete selfies is confirming these signs what do you have to say to us on sister wilson yes the bible foretells that many signs would present itself in the last days jesus indicated that the world would diseases would arise as his return drew near one such sign of this is man will be capable of destroying all life if you read in matthew 24 verse 21 to 22 consider back in jesus days where there were swords and spears but today with nuclear biological and chemical weapons it is possible to destroy all flesh on planet earth oh yes what do you have to say on pastor walker uh in matthew chapter 24 uh verse 37 to 39 the scripture tells us that as it was in the days of noah so shall it be in a time of the coming of the son of man and it also says that they were eating and drinking and mine and giving themselves in the marriage and they knew not until the flood came and so we can see this uh happening in today's world when i go out for witnessing uh you will hear young men telling you that they know that god is coming what they are not ready they want to enjoy themselves and all that they are interested in is having fun having sex drinking and these are the things that people in our society are interested in and the bible says that the coming of god will will catch them as a thief in the night and we can see this happening so we are seeing the signs in our world and the bible confirms them we want to know how we are to be living then in a time such as this but just before we get into that question we're going to have an item from the march down youths i can take a heart that's broken make it over again but i know a man who cares and i can't take a soul that's in sick make it white eater than snow but i know i'm mad some call him savior the redeemer of man i call him jesus for he's my dearest friend and when you feel no one can help you and your life is out of hand i [Music] [Music] upon the waters [Music] but i know a man who cares [Music] but i know a man who cares [Music] jesus for he is [Music] [Music] [Music] some call him savior the redeemer of men i call him jesus for he my dearest friend and when you feel no one can help you and your life is out of hand [Music] some call him savior the redeemer of men i call him jesus for he's my dearest friend and when you feel no one can help you and your life is out of hand [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] i know a man who [Music] [Applause] [Music] amen amen i know a man who can if you are just joining us we are looking on the theme is this the end and my panelists you have shared some very insightful information with me regarding the events that are happening in our days you would have shared about the earthquake the recent earthquake in haiti the men becoming lovers of themselves more than lovers of god and we see so many other signs even recently we know about the the situation in afghanistan where the talibans are taking over and so many chaos is happening in the world so we want to and the bible i must also add has confirmed that these events are indeed signs of the end as we want to know how we should be living how should one respond to these events we see the signs we know the bible's confirmation what should one's response be how should we be living in a time such as this sister ellison the bible has warned us that all these signs are the beginning of sorrow so we are not to be afraid all right we are to look up for our redemption jordan 9. amen sister henry what would you encourage yes it does for in luke 21 28 it says and when these things begin to come to pass then look up and lift your head for your redemption joy night or redemption draw at night sister wilson what do you have to say one's response to these events is repentance in acts 3 verse 19 it says repent then and turn to god so that your sins may be wiped out that times of refreshing may come from the lord for with repentance it is a way to be saved second chronicles 30 verse 9 says for the lord your god is gracious and compassion if you turn to him he will not turn away from you men and there is hope that if we turn to him he will not turn away pastor walker what do you have to say in ii peter chapter 3 peter tells us that in the last days scoffers will come walking after their own lust and they'll be saying where is the promise because since the fathers fell asleep you have been hearing that christ is coming soon and i've experienced this many times while i'm witnessing on the field there are people who are saying that you know they have been hearing that god has been coming for a long time but where is he and peter is saying you know because these things shall be dissolved they must come to pass and so therefore what we should do uh he said that we must be diligent that he may be found of him in peace without spot and without blame and so we are to live a sinless life this is what peter is saying to us and so when god comes we will be found faithful not only must we live a sin sinless life but matthew 28 tells us that we must go forth in all the world and we must teach preach and baptize and so while we are supposed to live a sinless life we must also continue to tell men and women that the coming of god is near amen so even though we are seeing these signs which sister ellison mentioned that these are the beginning of sorrows and so we ought not to be afraid we are to look up we are to repent and most of all we are to be diligent we should have holy conversations and we should continue with the mission so that those around us can know about god at this time my opponents i'm going to ask you to share with us your final thoughts on the topic before we go into our closing my final thought is coming to us from joshua 1 verse 9 and it encourages have not uncommanded thee be strong and have a good courage be not afraid neither be doubt dismayed for the lord thy god is with thee wither so ever though goest so i encourage you all be strong amen be strong in the lord sister henry as we are nearing the coming of god let us put our trust in him for he is the alpha and omega we need not fear oh yes we have nothing to fear but fear itself put our trust in the lord sister wilson repent so you can be saved and love the lord with all thy heart thy mind and thy soul amen and pastor walker so because we understand that all these things must come to pass these signs the bible is saying to us that he that endure to the end shall be saved and so i'm saying to us that do not be discouraged because of all the things that are happening around us the bible says that these things must happen before jesus comes and so we must understand that while these things are happening it means that christ is near and we are looking for a new heaven and a new earth where there won't be any more death there won't be any more sin there won't be any more sickness and so while these things are happening we can look up and we can know that god is coming amen amen thank you very much my panelists for sharing with us this afternoon my viewers you would have listened and you too would have been witnessing these signs and of course as pastor mentioned earlier some of you may be saying that from you were born from a child you've heard that christ is coming but until now you can't see him but we are encouraging you this afternoon if there's ever a time that you should be looking up the time is no look up because your redemption draw it now ask yourself the question is this the end at this time we'll have our closing item be blessed [Music] i know when i get so discouraged it seems like all hope is gone but please only one who can bring us correct and strength to carry on never give up jesus is coming it's the darkest just before dawn never give up [Music] jesus coming soon never give up [Music] oh this old world i know cannot last much longer [Applause] [Music] put my faith in god keep on growing stronger for jesus is coming again never give up jesus is coming [Music] never give up jesus is coming very soon never give up keep holding on it's the door again just before dawn never give up [Applause] jesus is coming very soon never give up keep holding on oh never give up keep holding [Music] let the church of god say amen amen it's a beautiful message and song never give up camaro never give up jesus yes that's the message but we just want to thank the sda church march down over there in hanover for really marching out this afternoon with these young people and telling us you know sharing with us cementing it that jesus definitely is coming that pastor is so young you know you know it is so so youthful and it it speaks volume that young people there's hope there's a place for you even in pastoral ministry well kamara we have a very special segment coming up right sure along the advent inspires are here to inspire us that's right with music and so without further ado before that yeah before we take them yes i just want to encourage our online worshipers make sure you submit or post your per request in the chat because it's important it's per time you know we jamaica will be on the lockdown tomorrow monday and tuesday it's no movement day we want to pray that somebody will not be affected by excessive fear and depression because god will take us through this indeed indeed and it's so very important that you keep praying for one another of course i have benefited from other persons praying for me and so when we join hands and hearts together praying for our or brothers and sisters or our family members it does wonders alone and so remember sending your prayer requests they may not be able to echo all of them but just know this that the host of heaven is writing down your request not just writing it down but writing it down with terrible exactness that's right and so you don't have to worry when we don't get to mention your prayers send them in while the inspires are really getting ready to come on yes kamara we want to say this also in the jamaican context that during these three days of of of no movement share with your neighbor make sure that you use the opportunity right now who wouldn't have no economy no flow on a rice no oil no protein please reach out we chose medication because people we need that support we are jamaicans let's do it right we go over now to the advent inspires they'll bless us with good music after which pearl amen [Music] that [Music] [Music] so [Music] he [Music] it's made my darkness so so much [Music] [Music] give me that foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] oh [Music] [Music] amen give me that old time gospel and within the old time gospel is the power of answered priors god is always listening when we pray i want to thank you for joining us this evening pastor drummond is joining me also and we will be praying for the request in the chat i've been watching and even while they were singing i was looking at the chat and there's no way i can mention every name and every case but there are over 5 000 of us watching would you just follow that chat you might not be the one posting a prayer request or even if you're the one posting that prayer request look for somebody else as we pray for another person's case what i'd like you to do in this moment of prayer every sabbath afternoon is to look in the chat for a request select that or a few others as my prayer coordinators in western jamaica join us in prayer this time let there be a chain of prayer across the world as we pray for these individuals before we pray for these requests i'd like to promote and inform you that coming next sabbath august 25 the jamaica union launch 100 days of prayer beginning august 25 that's next week and carry and continue until december 2. we are praying for spiritual revival we're praying for the outpouring of the holy spirit because we sense the lord jesus is about to come but the outpouring of the holy spirit is important as we prepare for that second coming we're praying for the coveted virgin pandemic and of course we are praying for a spirit of mission to take hold of god's church as our holy spirit is outpoured upon us what i'd like you to do and i recommend these two things during these 100 days take 100 hours of solid devotion as you pray for that revival make every day every day choose one hour that you will guard jealously where you will take that hour to pray to study the bible and to pray for someone else that's 100 hours of solid devotion to god the next thing i'd want you to do during the 100 days is to adopt a practice 100 missionary activities during the day you choose what kind of missionary work you want to do whether it be sending a text whether they're visiting someone whether they're praying with someone or just sharing a meal with someone you choose but make sure that during those 100 days not one of those days would pass and you do not do something for jesus christ so each day you do a golden deed that's what i have on the 100 days of prior beginning next week and taking us to december 2. we will be praying for some individuals carlene white and others who are struggling with the covet 19. um there are many individuals and we know that there are many individuals now struggling with covid some are in the hospitals you might be listening to me right now some are in your home in isolation you might be listening we want to be praying for all those who are affected by the virus right now we want to pray also for the bereaved families those who have lost loved ones sister stewart one of our prayer court prime ministers in march down has lost a brother lisa and the saunders family have lost a mom this morning we want to pray for some individuals who are sick of brother davis and sav um brother and sister beedle in sav elder ricky johnson is in the lucy hospital and we want to cover him in prayers one of our prayer warriors also um we want to pray for someone i saw in the chat sending having a suicidal thought and i'd like you to look at that prayer counseling number we are waiting for your call you are listening to us you have suicidal thoughts we sell it feeling we saw it in the chat we we want you to call us right away someone is waiting to talk to you pastor if we keep talking about this prayer request we will not have time to pray i ask those of you watching dedicate this moment to pray for someone who's typing in the chat as we lead in prayer right now pastor and just to before i pray to remind all our viewers that we might not be able to mention all the requests but the truth is nothing falls beneath the notice of our savior and he knows you he knows your case and as we pray i am certain the lord will speak to your particular concern your need let us bow heads for prayer almost holy father to you all glory and praise belong we just want to recognize you as sovereign lord of our lives and so lord this afternoon we come before you because we recognize that we are weak but you are strong we recognize lord that we are helpless but you can give the help that we need in times like these we have listened to past as you read requests of these individuals they have different challenges different problems some are sick even this person who is suicidal oh god i know even in these closing days of earth's history the devil is unleashing his forces upon the human family and when we look at what he's doing we sense that we are impotent in the hands of a being that you have created so very strong but thanks be to god we are reminded this afternoon that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal once we petition the throne of grace you will supply your people with the power that will demolish the strongholds of the enemy and so we ask you lord to give us that power to stand up against the devil give us that power lord so that when we stand up when we pray his plans will be cancelled his camp will be confused he will be defeated oh lord we place our feeble hands in yours and we say have mercy upon us that brother that sister whoever it is who is suicidal at this time all remind that person that you are in control and that you are able the devil smiles at us when he sees your children in pain and in suffering but thanks be to god for better days are coming thank you jesus that one day our sorrows will be gone thank you jesus that the pain of this life will be no more and righteousness will cover this earth oh god i pray that you will give us the power to stand up against the enemy all these individuals who are depressed who are discouraged who feel like giving up who are disturbed and perturbed by life's perplexities i ask you right now divine jesus to gird your line with your truth give them the breastplate of righteousness give them the shield of faith that they will stand against the devil and tell the devil i am victorious because i am covered under the banner of prince emmanuel gracious god i pray for those who are sick visit their bedside at this time those who are in excruciating pain ease the pain jesus and give them a good night's rest be the healing bomb give them the confidence dispel worry from their lives and help them to turn their eyes upon you and as they look in your face they will see sympathy they will see mercy and i know god you will come through for them blood out our transgression and give us the faith to keep running so that we can finish this race gloriously we thank you for the sermon this morning preached by your man's servant that there is a better place than this life help us to be faithful king jesus help us to make our calling and election sure give heed to our supplication right now and oh god be with us in a very special way is our asking in jesus name and heavenly father we continue in prayer because we believe in you we trust that you who promise to hear and answer our prayers you're listening father we come in the name of jesus our brothers and sisters are many who are seeking your divine intervention they are seeking healing over their sicknesses the covet viruses across this land we have loved ones we have brothers and sisters individuals now listening struggling with the pain struggling with the discomfort that comes with the coronavirus they fear death and they want to live i ask you jesus to command life over them that they shall not die but they shall live and declare your glory we ask you for those struggling with cancer that you jesus that will do that which is not common it's not common to see cancer patients being healed but we know that you are all powerful if you can take dirt and put life in it you can cause even cancer to be rolled back we are begging you jesus to reverse some of these curses reverse some of these sicknesses reverse some of these ailments they are not coming from heaven but coming from hell in the name of jesus release remove deliver somebody who is looking up to you for healing right now somebody on the hospital bed i call to mind brother johnson that davis is brother james i call to you those evil whose name i can't recall i can't remember but there is not a name in the chat that you don't know there is not a sickness that there's not a sick person that you don't know we are looking to you and you said if we come believing even the mountain can be removed father we are begging you for that faith just in case we don't have enough to believe help our unbelief and grant us the divine healing may your name be glorified as a report what god has done for us i bring before you heavenly father those who are about facing the storm who are worried about the earthly possession word about their life but they are looking to you and even against the storm they are praying hear oh god their prayers and deliver them like you've done to jamaica and other countries i bring before you those who have not put their pieces back together after the earthquake in haiti i am begging you father to grant them as they look up to you in prior and answer i can imagine a brother a sister in haiti who is bereft of their loved ones bereft of all they have worked for jesus in this moment of depression i am asking you to show up in their lives to show up in their homes to show up in their family your name must be lifted upon exalted your name must be glorified and we know you have the power but we want to see it alive we want to talk about it we want to feel it we want you to come down in our situation and future he is the strength he is going to be the one who gives you strength to face the most difficult future don't live in fear for god is that light behind you and he is that strength that carries you into tomorrow keep on holding onto his hand he'll carry you through god bless you amen amen and amen we thank pastor johnson and pastor drummond for that prayer session we serve a god who still answers prayer who is still in the miracle working business we're still in the healing business and all we have to do is to trust and believe that when we pray he hears us and he will answer according knowing what his nature is understanding that there is actually hope for tomorrow understanding better the nature of god even the very humor of our king so let's at this time just rejoice in this thing acknowledging that he is god knowing that he can reach in those places that are dark alone that he can reach in those burnt places and bring life just help us in snake [Music] you bring life [Music] it's your name you bring joy [Music] to the brokenhearted hope to the ones who've lost their god [Music] it's your nature when everything that happened today on the [Music] water inside [Music] [Music] [Music] is [Music] is [Music] [Music] stretch out your head [Music] [Music] again [Music] you keep the promises that you have [Music] [Music] is [Music] [Music] amen and amen we've heard the theme song probably for the final time in this series and it's time i'm going to invite you as we begin this closing ceremony to join me in prayer as we see god's guidance and to give him thanks for what we have been able to able to accomplish through him let us pray father in heaven we are truly grateful that you have been with us for these past five weeks we have seen many times when we had to curtail our efforts due to the restrictions that are in place for the current situation with kovid but father we are thankful that you have gifted us with the means and the strength to continue to broadcast your gospel to all the ends of the earth where men and women can learn of your righteousness through the nature speaks hope for tomorrow series we are grateful heavenly father that you have blessed us with this opportunity for indeed we have come to the kingdom as such a time as this to bring this gospel message to men and women across the universe who can hear your word who can hear your truth who can know that you are still in charge and that they ought to surrender their lives to you as we come to this closing ceremony we ask that your holy spirit will continue to appeal to the hearts of those who are listening who have not yet made up your minds to accept your salvation we pray that you will be with this service that you will guide each part of it even as we prepare to close out we ask our father that your blessings will be upon us bless the viewers bless those who have been praying bless those who have been giving support through their means bless those who have been faithful to join each evening and to sign on and to just share the link with somebody else bless those who have benefited for those who may have been exposed to the online worship experience just for this first time we pray that you will pronounce a blessing upon them now guide us now as we continue to worship you in jesus name we pray and say thanks and amen amen amen well well beloved can you imagine we have gone through five weeks of the nature speaks hope for tomorrow gospel campaign and i am sure that with me you will say thanks be to god we are thankful because god has truly been good to us uh we have some persons uh some individuals that we have to pause to say thanks to you know sometimes some good things are done and we walk away without expressing gratitude we we do not want to be that kind of a person we do not want to be those persons we want to spend the time to say thank you to you while you can still hear us saying so so i believe it is appropriate to say the highest praise belong to god uh uh the the pastor chambers in his prayer reminded us of the number of of adjustments we have had to be making but despite all of this listen listen listen when when when singers don't turn up god has been faithful when musicians we can't find god remains faithful when participants we can't see god remains faithful when when when our time was cut because the curfew was pulled up on us god remained faithful and we say thank you jesus for your goodness for your love and your tender mercies there were times when we were concerned about the speaker's voice but god remained faithful and the preacher made it through without missing a single sermon and i must repeat that because the preacher did not miss a single one and to those who are here and those who are viewing i personally ask for evangelist says praise the lord sounds selfish yeah but i got i have to give god thanks because truly god deserves all our praise we want to say thanks to the west to make a conference the administrators and all the leadership for taking the bold decision may i say to you there are some persons who they are persons who believe that what we are doing we are being too consistent at it some people say that people are getting what is called internet and evangelism fatigue but let me tell you this we ought to know that we make no apology for reaching out and there are over 240 odd souls who are saying thank you jesus for persisting with this program it's not because we are we have uh what you call it everlast battery is known but we are motivated by something within that cannot be quenched we want to say thanks to all our congregations across our conference all those congregations that took the decision your leadership uh the decision to be a part of this program we say thank you thank you some of some of you you established uh uh sights by the roadside and then and when you had sometimes you had to be pulling down because curfew time but you you you held your your your your time you you're stuck to the task and we say thanks me to god for your tremendous tremendous support can i say thanks to the technical team yes those on on camera those in the control room those who uh manage the pa system those who manage the floor all those who are part of this critical team we say thank you we say thanks to all the media houses that that carry the program from time to time be it more or mellow or ncu or wccn we say thanks to you we say thanks to our music sons brother nolan and his team thank you for being faithful to all our singers there are two numerous dimensions but you could forgive me if i pause just to say a bit about the anointed ones because they were here every single night every time there was a program on they were in the place and we say thank you for such tremendous commitment to the work of god to all the musicians and all the singers to numerous dimensions we say a big thank you and keep keeping it in mind that you are not merely singers you are ministers we say thanks to man can i say a big enough thank you to o.w.e our singers i i tell you something i i'm um can i can i they say confession is good for the soul and and i i have to tell you that that when pastor williams came to the director's meeting with the theme song and we listened to the original one maybe i shouldn't say what i was about to say let me not say we we we said pastor williams yo you may have to wheel and come again let me put it that way right but when the praise team took the song and and put it on their operating table we they came out with something fantastic something tremendous so much so that people like brother green who can't sing rocking and singing amen tremendous job we say thanks to you i i can't i can't i can't i will not forget the sign language people and and and i think i think advent inspires you give the sign language people some problems because when you drop that deep bass all they can do is point down thank you um sign language ministers for the wonderful job the awesome job that you have done and your consistency we really appreciate that to those who who feed us sabbath after sabbath i'm not going to forget you thank you so much uh to those to those at the sanitizing desk we say thank you to our to our awesome hosts sometimes they they they divided the job and sometimes they came out in full force and those i know those on youtube and on facebook on instagram on wccn you have grown to know them and to love them we say thanks to our uh very special host and uh want to say thanks to the quiz lady thanks to the police read the community impact program we want to say thank you to pastor johnson and the prayer team sometimes it's johnson sometimes it's smith james sometimes pastor drummond sometimes pastor chambers uh uh but for the for the prayer team we say thank you for the prayer band sometimes you can't see the prayer band but there are upstairs in the upper room lifting us up in prayer we say to god be the glory for them and then there are others pastors who are manning the prayer line you called in the council refused and they were also counselors we want to say thank you to this fantastic team sometimes though they are not seen but the work they are doing is critical to the success of the program they kept praying and god kept working say thanks to those who provided the special features pastor norman thompson who coordinates the health focus with his team pastor german the help sorry pastor thompson the family focus with his team pastor german with the health focus with dr street and this is the team we say thank you for the youth focus for the ay programs we say thank you if you mop the floor we say thank you if you're clean on the outside we say thank you whatever you did for the proclamation of the gospel we say thanks be to god for you i want our viewers to know be you on the platform or in a local church without you all that we did here would have been meaningless and so we appreciate the fact that you gave good strong consistent support we thank you and i say to you to our viewers i understand that on the youtube platform that today you got the challenge last week and you rose to the challenge and we i'm asking if there is a way that we can identify the 50 000 is that is that the word all right good um in the video then we want to highlight that person uh that's the same way we will highlight the sixty thousandth and the hundred straight up oh thank you so much thank you so much so please we're gonna make we're gonna make something out of this because we appreciate the fantastic support that you continue to give the west to mega conference uh programs without you and that and there are some persons when we have programs of this nature we send our bible instructors into the highways and the byways and it costs and there are many of you who who understood this fact and you sent us your small donations to help to defray the costs and so we say thank you so much and we pray that the lord will continue to touch your heart as you support this work of ministry so to our bible instructors we say thanks to you the the outside coordinators and um there are some our pastors i can't forget our pastors we thank you for leading your churches to being a part of this program and uh there are some who i believe should be online and i'm i'm searching for an indication to find out if any of our pastors are online to because we want to bring them in we want to have maybe just a snippet just give you a a glimpse of one or two of them so that they can say to you for themselves uh their own gratitude and their own testimony and i see pastor white pastor white from the chester castle circuit he organized the church and we want to say we want to give you your 90 seconds elder to talk to the world about what god has done in the chester castle circuit yes yes pastor white your time over to you i i we are seeing you uh yes we're seeing you go ahead please you're 90 seconds to talk to the world about what god has done in the chest castle circuit looking dapper in his let me know that looks yellow gold go ahead sir we're here go ahead we are so privileged we are so blessed and so privileged in the chester castle district of churches for being a part of this evangelistic series we have seen over 13 precious souls baptized and we give god thanks that in the chester castle district we have seen 13 precious souls being won for the kingdom of god amen we want to give god thanks for the outpouring of the holy spirit and for the use of the evangelist pastor williams we want to give gratitude to the bible instructors that were actively engaged in the field and um there's something that we gleaned from this evangelistic series i tell you quickly there are often times that we will look at individuals that persons are preparing for baptism and we may look at them and think they're not fit for baptism and i'm happy to report that we have [Music] your seen men surrendered their hustling is in practically a young man that was baptized just last week less than a week since his baptism he has brought forward candidates for baptism that we are working with and that speaks to the transforming power of the holy spirit we are convinced that when it comes to evangelism we must play an active part and do our best in spreading the good news of salvation we carry with us in chester castle the burden of the eunuch the question that was asked by philip understand this what you read there are many who are searching for the good news of salvation yes and the answer that the eunuch gave to philip how can i accept someone guide me we feel we are the guides we want to be collaborators with god so that men and women will surrender to god before it's eternally too late someone who is a member of the church who has not yet been engaged in the ministry to seek to go proclaiming the everlasting gospel as it brings pride and joy to see them surrendering their hearts to jesus amen amen amen and thank you so much pastor thank you for the tremendous work that you and your team has done recommend you and your your your bible instructors and as a matter of fact uh you were one of those who were with us when we had our monday and tuesday mornings uh bible workers and pastors meeting thank you so much for the tremendous work that was done and so we're going to stop by there is a pastor the pastor of the granville circuit of churches and i see him uh ready to speak pastor taylor please the the world is ready to to hear from you uh uh of what god has done in the granville circuit through you and your team please go ahead i see all right all right he is there he is setting up but we want you to know that that pastor taylor has a particular strategy he is an evangelist at heart and man the moment the program uh started he established his goal and today i'm just anticipating hearing him celebrating the the attainment of that special goal that he and the team working under the unction of the holy spirit were able to accomplish and so welcome to you sir uh we are now ready to hear from you to your testimony as to what god has done through you and that fantastic team of workers that you have over there in the granville circuit pastor everett taylor pastor please go ahead all right uh he is on the all right we are we are working with the technology we are working on the technology and uh i tell you something when we had our bible workers meeting and pastor taylor said i i am establishing 20 as my goal a number of persons looked at him as if he was not so certain but we have seen that when we work hand in hand with god when we when we do the work and when we submit to his will god can do marvelous things in and through us and even if the technology should fail us this evening we have tongue to tell you that god has been working in this area that they accomplished their goal and man i tell you something they are really on fire for jesus i i don't know maybe he wants to tell you not just what happened with nato speaks but otherwise it is his right so to do but we want to celebrate with the granville brethren uh for this fantastic success uh we are having some technical challenges as you know we are working we are working we are working it out so what we will do thank you very much good thank you very much good afternoon uh west jamaica conference family we want to thank god for his leadership during the nature speaks hope for tomorrow evangelistic campaign it's not by might nor by power but by the spirit uh saith the lord i want to thank the committed team of workers evangelists steve king sister annette ferguson sister lorna tyson sister roma earl and to the back end we have pastor arton weatherburn joining the team witnessing is automatic for a converted christian freely we have received freely we are to give witnessing we believe in the granville district is a divine command it is a divine imperative it is something that must be on the mind on the heart of every single member witnessing we believe keeps the church alive therefore in order to have a dynamic church pulsating with vibrancy we must keep aggressive evangelism at the forefront of the agenda to save souls should be the life work of everyone who professed christ and because we are his followers because he died for every single sinner we believe we must rescue the perishing we must care for those who are dying we believe the time is right as sin is galvanizing the world we must send the light in every dark corner of west jamaica conference we must send the light in the granville area we must send the light in the tucker area we must send the light in the irwin area and in the gracel area and under god we are redoubling our effort to tear down the devil's kingdom and to build up our heavenly father's kingdom so that individuals can be on the side of christ and so as a district it's very simple we galvanize our effort and our to reach our lost brothers and sisters near and far to help those who are walking towards a cliff that will lead them into hell to understand it pays to serve the lord may god bless you as you continue to work for your master and thank you so much pastor ever taylor and for to your team give our respect and love to your team for this tremendous work that you have done and that you're continue to do i'm asking you please keep praying us up our next uh special outreach will be selp our our lay preachers and our elders will be getting their marching orders so prepare for that one but for now we're going to have that very final char send off final word from our evangelist pastor donovan fitzgerald williams beloved friends we can all confess that god has spoken through his manservant amen uh and i tell you something those that are out there if you have been blessed these five weeks i want you to type amen praise the lord thank you jesus hallelujah whatever you want to please respond according as this holy spirit has used you but we are convinced that god has truly worked through his manservant pastor donovan fitzgerald adolphus aloysius williams uh just before he comes to say that final sentence the advent inspires will give you another special song and if you hear a deep bass it could be me and it might not be hear them [Music] and lead us for we need to help us find our way gently [Music] come and feed us [Music] for me your strength from day to day [Music] there's no [Music] who can help us [Music] the day [Music] come and lead us [Music] for we need you to help us find our way [Music] in a world filled with uncertainty [Music] it is quite obvious that as the bible said men's heart are failing them for fear right now as you can see we've been going through a pandemic for the past couple of months and persons are so afraid they do not know what to do but we're here this evening to tell you that we serve a mighty god we serve a god who still answers prayers and if you are feeling doubtful and feeling fearful rest assured that he knows the beginning and he also knows the end in god we trust there's nothing [Music] we can turn to who can help us [Music] come and leave [Music] to help us [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] amen amen thank you very much advent and the deep bass you heard was certainly not pastor rose's voice but it was the voice of more melodious um singing good evening everyone i want to join pastor rose in really saying that thanks to everyone he said thanks to for the support in the nature speaks hope for tomorrow campaign and for the success of the preaching of the gospel for the success of god's work here in west jamaica conference and i truly joined with him insane thanks i want to add to his for the thanks to just to say how much i really appreciate the support of everyone and the support of my fellow officers uh president pastor samwells and our treasurer sister marion bart popkin they were there and is still here all the time and i really appreciate that the pastor rose was so generous in saying thanks that and he couldn't for his own [Music] humility and his own professionalism he would not do it but i have to do it i really want to say thanks to pastor rose our co-evangelist and for the outstanding leadership that he gave for nature speaks for his managerial work for this campaign we really want to say a big up and a thanks to pastor rose for his tremendous leadership there and we continue to work together as a team truly pastor rose mentioned about when we when i introduce the whole nature of the theme song the number of individuals who and i asked the opinion of several individuals and they said pastor it is not a known song i must confess to that the song was introduced to me by a youth a youth from west jamaica conference fell in love with the song right away shared it and there are those who said that listen it is not well known and but we in our departmental meeting we met and the president who had has a preacher's heart also said it is most fitting for the series and so we got together we called a few individuals who are gifted in in in music we asked um these jonas murphy we asked um shamari russell one of our musicians for the campaign and david herron and these three individuals came together and the theme song is really what we have it and i really want to say thanks to these individuals and to the praise team for making this song really come alive and and and speaks to the whole theme of the campaign i want also to say a very special thank you to my family my wife and two children they they have been tremendously instrumental if i should really confess which i will do [Music] when we when i started this um campaign i started it being very very fatigued and tired and they did all that they could to keep me going behind the scene uh all the that they needed to do to keep my energy up and so on i can remember one sabbath afternoon i was really low on energy and i saw my son damar walked in and said daddy let me pray for you and he prayed for me and that gave me tremendous energy and tremendous strength so thank you marcia thank you denisia thank you demar for indeed the support and the outstanding part you play individuals probably will not know what you did kept me going the nature speaks we were challenged with the adjustments in the protocols and in the curfew time for the adjustment in curfew times but we want to thank the lord that he has brought us through and in as much as the country is facing a lot known for the next three days sunday monday and tuesday we know you will be at home and so we are not going to lock down our um chanel we are going to have our channel up with something from nature speaks for sunday night and on wednesday also we will have uh it is our custom tool that after a campaign we have our nurturing program um kicks in at immediately and we are on going to carry that program but more than a nurturing program tomorrow evening we will have our service our sunday night service albeit we will have to operate um from home but we our channel will be up the online worship uh experience will be up and we'll have something from nature speaks for um tomorrow night and we will take it as we go along wednesday night will be on friday night will be on and sabbath we will be back here and we truly want to say to god be the glory my final charge to you this afternoon and i'm going to start something that i cannot finish but i promise you uh that i will pick up this sermon and and and do the i the the detail of this message but i will just use it as uh closing charge for about three minutes and then we will close it's a very special passage from the book of habakkuk habakkuk and the very last verse in habakkuk chapter 3 habakkuk chapter 3 and the very last verse and i promise you i will preach this sermon it says the lord god is my strength he will make my feet when my translation says dearest feet which is correct but the the the king james version the old king james uses the the the term heim's feet he will make me walk on my high hills and if your translation says a deer it is correct but it does not give you the the the type of beer that will fit the context here but behind is a mountain deer and if you look on sometimes a national geographic channel and you will see things in you will see the mountain deer the mountain deer is able to climb on some steep legends and and to walk with sturdy feet not to uneven to run from predators and those cliffs that's what the mountain deer is able to do why because the mountain deer is gifted with sturdy feet as christians as god's believing people in a time like this what we need is stir defeat god is able to help us to go across the most rugged and treacherous pathway once we trust in him once our feet are anchored in him he will take us through let us have the sturdy feet like the mountain deer and stay connected with jesus and that through these very challenging times we will maintain our balance we will maintain stir defeat we will stay connected with jesus christ may god truly bless you as we say goodbye from nature speaks this afternoon see you tomorrow evening god bless you it's my head since we pray almighty god the heavenly father we are so thankful for the wonderful things that you have done for us through us with us thank you lord for the many souls that have been surrendered to you in baptism and we know that there are many more throughout this week who will make that commitment to you who will stand in baptism oh lord our country is under a severe lockdown but your grace is always sufficient for us so we asked you now lord that he will take full control of our lives take full control of tomorrow and continue to shine forth your glory through nature may we hear your voice may you may we obey obey your command and stay steadfast in jesus name we pray amen and amen amen amen yes camaro yes sir yes it is the end of our nation speak hope for tomorrow online evangelistic series and we really want to thank all of you and devices are spreading the gospel we know that the gospel will be preached to every kindred tongue and people because this is the end time and we have a job to do spreading the good news of righteousness oh yes and pastor did a wonderful job throughout the five weeks and i remember distinctly the sermon today and that of the palm tree i'll never forget it and so we want to say denise as
