Clean & Detail Your Car Engine in 5 Minutes!

whether you've never cleaned a car engine or you want a better way this is the video for you because i'm gonna take this dirty engine and make it look brand new but we're gonna do it in under five minutes let's get this project started so at the beginning of this video i promised in five minutes or less we're going to turn this dirty engine into something you can be proud of and this is the end result i'm going to take you through all the steps but this is what you can expect when you're done and the best part is it is easy now what you're looking at here is a perfect example of how not to clean an engine if you've got a day job like me you don't have time to sit here and be picasso cleaning an engine now this person will probably come out with a great result but this would take forever and this is even more ridiculous how could you ever be finished cleaning an engine like this now that you've seen how to not do the job right let's get into the winning process that'll take you five minutes the first thing you need to do is pick the right cleaning product and the good news is you only need one product to do this job and that is p21s total auto wash now i get it in the five liter size because i use a lot of it and i'm putting in that little hand pump sprayer but you can also buy it in a smaller one liter size and this stuff is the best it's safe for your engine paint chrome you name it anything on a car don't buy any other product i have tried them all and this is worth every penny now you don't dilute total auto wash you use it right from the container so before i get started i only cover one piece of electrical equipment in the car and that's the alternator i just put a shopping bag over it right here and obviously the engine is cool before i start any of this work now that we've got our bag successfully covering our alternator we're ready to begin so you want to spray the total auto wash all in the engine compartment you can get it on the paint plastics whatever's in there is going to be just fine for this chemical and your goal is not a real heavy coating it's just to saturate everything in there when you use this technique you're going to clean your whole engine this stuff is going to run down the inside of your engine all over the engine compartment and get it all clean now that we've sprayed it we're going to leave this on for just one minute don't leave it on for longer or for less now that our minutes done all we've got to do is rinse the product off i'm just using a regular garden hose with cold water don't use a pressure washer you'll cause damage and you might have noticed something else i didn't use a brush at all i didn't scrub anything i didn't wipe anything that's the beauty of total auto wash the stuff just melts the dirt away it's amazing now take a look already look at that brake fluid reservoir all that dirt's gone and i didn't scrub anything now the key here is you've got to rinse thoroughly don't be cheap with the water here you've got to get all that total auto wash off the engine and remember to take the bag off if you covered your alternator now we're ready to dry our engine now the goal here is just to get any loose water off that you can now what i'm doing is using a shopvac exhaust to blow off that water you can use an air compressor or anything that can direct air even things like a leaf blower and remember the goal is to just get off any loose water that you can you don't have to worry about getting every bit off now i'm just going to finish up with a rag and i'm going to wipe down the plastics especially the ones that have flat surfaces to get any remaining water now we're ready to start the engine and don't be surprised you're going to see a little bit of water fly off those belts and pulleys and that's okay close the hood and you want to take your car for a long drive to finish the drying so after 10 minutes of driving this is the end result this engine looks brand new clean and it really shines and this is with no protectants no dressings this is the end result that you'll get with total auto wash i would never use another product and this product's even biodegradable so it really is a great choice but it's the end result and the speed that i was most impressed with so i hope you enjoyed this video showed you a new way that you might be able to clean your engine please comment below give me a thumbs up and please subscribe to my channel if you're not already [Music] you
