the Bible and theology program is the oldest program offer in a Christian life college it's often been called our flagship degree it's one of the most popular the students love to take and most enrollment it's filled with a lot of different courses designed for people who want to fulfill the call of God as a pastor or a minister in their future it has language courses a heavy dose of Hebrew and Greek one year of both along with every homiletics course that we have to offer which is the skill of preaching we go through the beginner stage all the way up to performing weddings and funerals it's also one of the most popular degrees because it has every book of the Bible covered in the program along with eight full semesters of theology Pentecostal theology oneness pentecostals eolr G we focus strongly on the oneness of God but also have classes designated for salvation and the new birth it ends off with a full year of systematic theology covering Christology to ecclesiology and of course eschatology as a matter of fact our program is also designed with a strong emphasis in the study of last things we believe that it's imperative to understand the end of days in any of your theological concepts it informs everything that we understand about the Bible are very hermeneutic is affected by our view of the last days [Music] one of the main goals of the Bible and theology program is to ensure that our students are rooted in an apostolic oneness Pentecostal theology but not just that but that they are well-acquainted with the moving of God's Spirit in our church services in our personal lives and pretty much all through their life another attribute of this program is that we teach unequivocally that the Bible is inerrant there is no errors anywhere in our Scripture we hold that as a principle in something that needs to be enforced and reaffirmed in this generation so was about three years ago and my parents they attended landmark and I tuned in to the to the service live from home and it was the evening that pastor Haney was was preaching just something with the message in his spirit really registered with me and it was at that moment I I really could see myself being at CLC and just with his ministry style and the way that he was so personal with with the college students that were there in that front section at this huge conference of probably five or six thousand people and in my mind I could I could picture it being in a classroom setting and for the degree program specifically the way that pastor Haney ministers the way he'll break break down the Hebrew and things about the history and the culture there are some things that I've really gained in my studies and then for me now I'm in a Hebrew class which is really helping me with my exegesis of the scripture and seeing a deeper meaning and so many of the words and the things that Christ was desiring to speak to us the culture the the environment here is one that it really encourages you and it really just inspires people to to get into a place of prayer our main focus our main intention it's not the academics it's not the education but it really is a walk with God a relationship with with the Lord and and then through that the byproduct of that becoming the minister that that he wants us to be through the relationship that we have with him and so whether it's a student body prayer a chapel service there's just so many opportunities where where we get into the presence of God we become sensitive to his voice and this time here and so for me I'm really grateful that I believe my my prayer life has grown to one of of great trust now where I I can have a confidence when I go into prayer that that the Lord is going to speak and that he's going to direct my life so the reason why I wanted to come to CLC to study Bible and theology is because I had been in music ministry for so long and I finally wanted to learn about what I was singing about I wanted to learn about the god I was singing about and it just made sense to come here and learn and study Bible and theology the culture here at CLC is incredible it's unlike anything that I've ever experienced before coming here I didn't know that you could have church the way that we do I didn't know that you could have a consistent prayer life and surround yourself with godly godly friends and be able to study and get into the word the way that you can while you're here and it's it's really unlike anything I've ever ever experienced it's unlike anywhere I've ever been everywhere you go everything is just so centered around God it's so god centered here and there's been so many times in chapel services and even in in the dorms with friends where we've just had encounters with God that were it's totally unplanned and it's been life-changing for me [Music]
