We're in the City of David. Would be the pool of Siloam, and this is where Jesus did the miracle of the blind man. It was dug out 3800 years ago. It's too narrow for me. So how was it? Oh my! A little too long for liking. You're in trouble! We're in the City of David. Wow! This is 2500-3000 years old structures. They found here a Jehucal mark. An actual "bulla". A Bulla is the imprint that the priests used to seal documents with their name.. And they found the name of: Jehucal- yehucal. And also another Bulla, Which is Gadaliahu son of Pashur. and they're mentioned in Jeremiah 38:1 and Jeremiah 37:3 Can you imagine the Bible mentioned this name this priest and they find their seals right here! It proves the validity of the Bible, it proves that Bible is true. And with this excavation we're able to imagine.. Where David lived! The city that David lived in 3000 years ago. God is amazing for preserving these things for us. Yeah! This is cool! Now more stairs. Insane. We got really deep, ha? This is amazing. It's so warmer than outside, though! Wow that is crazy! This is the Gihon spring where Nathan the Prophet took Solomon and anointed him here as king. Alright we need a flashlight. So that's how you would enter, yeah, you would walk through and at first it's short, but then it goes deep. This tunnel right here was done by Hezekiah. And what it did, he took two teams from each side of the mountain, and they started digging two sides.. And they actually met in the middle the question is how how do they do it 2500 years ago. Well.. At the top they believe they had a team that helped them.. By sound. They would tap on the top of the ground and, Navigate them in the line so that would meet each other at the end. So they would listen to where the sound is coming from from the hammers from the top of the ground, And they would go with the sound. There's an inscription the other tunnel describes the day when they met each other the two teams and how.. Incredible that was and rejoicing and how the water gushed through. We're not gonna take it today because it's pitch black and it's very cold.. It's cold outside if we're wet we go out..Not gonna happen. Wow so.. We're walking in the tunnel.. Paralleled to the Hezekiah tunnel. So we're walking in the Canaanite tunnel. It was dug out 3,800 years ago. Right under Mt Moriah where the city of David was built, Where Jebusite was during the Canaanite times. Where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac. Wow! All these stories. All these events. Right here. Wow! Its amazing! Bible coming to life. It ends right there? Yeah, I mean, like, it doesn't go that high. Ok. You can stand up totally in it, so thats how tall it is. Huh! OK. So we just got out from the Canaanite tunnel and we're gonna keep on going towards the.. uh.. Shiloah pools. Yeah. He said he was waiting for us special welcome. I waiting for everyone, thats my job, my friend, don't be so proud of yourself! We're at the pool of Siloam, and this is where Jesus did the miracle of the blind man. He spit on some dirt put it on his eyes. He created new eyes for him, and then He told him go wash in the Siloam pool, and so that would be it.. Right here. There is still water, but it's over here. And they stopped it from going down for now. You can still see water from the Gihon Spring. We're gonna walk now on the Herodian street. This is the street in the City of David 3000 years ago. That water in the tunnel of Hezekiah.. What was that? What was it for? ] He dug it out, so people in the city of David. Will drill holes into that tunnel that it runs right under them and then... [phone ringing..] Where's my phone? Who's that So Hezekiah dug the water tunnel, it runs right under the City of David so people who drink from it. How? They would drill holes so they don't have to go down the Mountain to the Gihon Springs to drink it.. Or bring it up. They could just drink it right in the city. Lets walk that street. We need to have some Israeli pizza while down there.. And we are still walking through that street. Wait why is it narrow? Babe your head! And it's dripping water.. Well because we passed the Herodian street, and now we're in the ancient sewer It's only another mile guys only another mile! Silence.. crickets.. I cannot believe we paid money to walk do that!
