Christian yeah yeah and it's their own country technically yes there's a sign when you come into Christian you where it says you're now leaving the EU so when was this established in 1971 yeah that's when the military moved out and before they could do anything hippies moved in and they squatted and they use their squatter's rights to keep it how long do you need to squat before it's yours just because I have my eye on some property they have built-in infrastructure so they don't have to depend on they're not dependent on the city at all no no do they to the city nope the way it's set up is that if you want to move into a house on a block yeah or in this area yeah then you have to be approved by the people they have to like a cord exactly yeah and then when once you get that you have to be cool enough you have to be cool enough I'm not gonna make it but then once you're in you get the house for free you don't pay for it but when you leave you leave with nothing you move out and you don't get anything for it well that's fair so you didn't pay anything to come who would leave exactly it's what the 60s were supposed to turn into you know instead of all those people going into hedge funds this is the idealized community this is kind of like a like still no-man's light it's almost like the Wild West out here a little bit still yeah you can get away with so much more there are some vendors yeah in this section yeah and we're not gonna film them because they like their privacy yes there's some marijuana use I would say some hashish sales going on you don't need to see that that's just one little Street of this you know hippie town in certain parts of the world this activity is legal but it's not truly legal here no but it's it's accepted where we are now this is a place to get and stay mellow yes exactly I understand this is kind of where everyone gravitates towards oh because of this oh because of the view Wow this is my favorite spot in the city this is a spot you can sit for a long time I get it it's beautiful yeah then you head down the path down there and there just it goes basically around the whole perimeter of kristinia yeah in the woods along the lake it starting to rain of course it is it wouldn't be a full company yes we get a little rain we call this Waterworld real is it's it's literally it's people who have come with their boats and just squatted this is a nude beach right here it is yeah sorry the weather so a bad or we can have some nudity out where's the nudity exactly come here on a nice day yeah you're gonna have 20 people laying completely naked out on this doctor really yeah yeah is there anything sadder than a nude beach without nudity there's so many things on this road that we actually use in the kitchen Adam asked that you take to your restroom yeah this is actually one of them are having what's it Oh wild beat roses so every every rose you see in the world yeah has come from this rose the original room this is the original rose right here we generally pick loads of these with Arizona rose yeah exactly but it's also what it really does the deed he's right people can't do this with every flower no you can use dry dirt you could be dead I see apples and now you're gonna eat apples these are all wild and these apple trees be honest all over the city they're super sour they make a great cider it's not super sour it's like a like a granny smith back crabapple yeah yeah we got plums here Mirabelle plums oh you eat them when they're green really yeah because when they get red yeah great for like pickling and preserving but yeah we need them green there we're using his are super super acidic to take this thin slice of this that's a sour plum that's a sour plum that's have I had this in Japanese cooking umeboshi right yeah that flavor just it was it was like a little vacation to Japan the our second exactly but that's what that's why I love dude it's gonna take you away to places yes if you drop it another tree will grow I'm Jonny clumsy not because it's the nude beach but this is one of my favorite spots in buildings don't lie where's the restaurant from here you see the big buildings behind the trees there yeah we're just the left it up very close yeah you can right right sir my no kidding and you actually pick stuff yeah right along here a wild yeah exactly we've actually got also fished in front of the restaurant you can catch cod and mackerel and Sun and you cook that beautiful place beautiful part of the world I've never been to a Scandinavian country oh you haven't no I know this is the furthest north I think I've ever been the people here are also great I'm noticing and they're also very very good-looking all tall and blonde and my the rest of my family fits in very well I not going to make it
