this week I'm taking my daughter Lily and her friends Olympic figure skating champions Alex and Maya Shibu Thani the ship ships to my favorite diner the eleven City Diner in Los Angeles please please [Music] I know what I've got I'm gonna be healthy hey you know what I should ask the Olympians what they eat for breakfast you try and keep it pretty regular to what you do when you're at home because share it's a huge cafeteria at the Olympics and they have all sorts of food you're not gonna suddenly try something new so what's your favorite part of your job I love the food the food is everything but for me yes the food is wonderful but its meaning the people the I always say food is the great connector right like when we're eating together that's how we get to know each other that's how we get to meet so food is the great connector and then laughs of the cement and then we're friends and if we have a good meal and if we have fun then we want to eat again you can excited getting close getting close you should have saved it for dessert but it's a good app they say that taking a photo of your food is the new blessing before the meal well at the very least it's an appreciation right you Pig so obsessed with food I don't understand it you know is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen Alex were taking it down we're taking it down the strawberry banana coconut yeah are you guys good okay good we'll keep it thank you [Music] good they're so good you know what is so great about this food delicious but I'm feeling everything's better my mood I like it what's your favorite place mmm the table has turned I am asking have you been to Italy yet we just haven't been lucky enough to go there before and one of these days we have to go and eat our way through Italy for sure when Lily was a kid were there foods that she didn't like eating only everything that's a really very picky eater no they showed me crazy he had very expensive tastes at three years old I like foie gras Unni and caviar please what about you thought did you grow up with the same expensive tastes food was not the priority in our house we both parents work you know I think even my mom would admit it wasn't her strongest suit was the cooking cook she was very busy and she had two maniacs running around my brother and I I didn't experience great food until after I used to beg my parents to go to McDonald's it was the toy getting the toy I think I was pretty happy meal okay I was sad news when I was a kid we had sad meals and we were fine with Oh No I think we've sat in here so long that it's lunch now now we're having the hot open-faced turkey my favorite thing it is hold with somebody people hot open-faced turkey sandwich because this is my favorite lunch dinner item on the menu make sure you get a little bit of cranberry with that bite you like that I'm not a great cook but I meet a lot of great chefs they came around a sitcom so we all contribute in our way right Oh for the birthday girls I am not kidding this is my favorite cake that is a deep dark chocolatey thing I think you're some place that we should go now I couldn't be more excited there's a line out the door at the very model of Saturday I passed this twice a day I've never been in here I think David Chang said that this is his favorite restaurant mm oh hold on oh my god that is the most beautiful dessert I've ever seen should we dump all this stuff on it no this is so fun yeah I'm going in yeah I'm going in - oh my god it's like the best strawberry dessert ever they really do a beautiful job presenting everything is so well thought out ice little grapes inside the ice awesome no what oh my god you're awesome yeah pretty toes too many drinking this by myself you're gonna get a lot of puree I think it's like a very very sophisticated ice cream soda it's truly spectacular if you were a four-star restaurant and they said ice cream soda as one of the dessert choices and it brought you this you would be like yes that is the ice cream soda of a four-star restaurant oh my god what have you done it is picture worthy I see I get the appeal of this place dig it in my favorite phrases oh it's really light oh wow yeah I did hear that oh yeah I want to say there's a little Nutella going on have you ever in the blue of course it's not the show no but if me I'm a sophisticated an area died old men now I don't have food fights out of the show although this might be a good place for one look at all the colors thank you thank you for bringing me here thank you yes this is a very happy thing
