[Music] good to see you both again good to see I feel like I should give you both hugs especially you getting beat up in this movie you're it's fun to see you like as the bad guy is is that a fun role very fun yeah yeah um having played especially in the superhero space you know the characters that um there's a certain amount of expectations and and rules that have to be applied whereas the the villains allowed be a little more boundless and and kind of unpredictable and uh I I had a a lot of fun yeah as I'm watching this on the biggest screen best sound our seats were shaking last night oh really this movie lends itself to that oh that's so exising it was awesome but I'm thinking wow it's dirty it's dusty did it feel like that while you were filming I mean I was even wiping my face I'm like wait I'm just in a theater just butter popcorn yes absolutely but I think that's part of the beauty that is a Mad Max experience like if we shown up there and it had been super clean not hard at all we weren't trying for anything then I I would have felt personally cheated um so yeah that's just the the Universe I want to talk about costumes uh Chris you know lost his shirt again in this film where is it I had little straps of leather around me he was kind of you know up I was like does he ever wear a shirt in movies um but to my contract it is it is no shirt the costume though was it what are the pluses and the minuses for what you you were wearing most oh my goodness I love costumes like that because I can sit anywhere I can do anything like not the worst because they are so beautiful but when you're wearing very intricate costumes where you just can't rest ever because then they're going to have to steam you or clean you or this or that or anything this was just freedom I loved I love being DIY I love being bloody this movie lended itself to that and yeah it was great it also is far easier to sort of immerse yourself in this space like when you put on a costume that is uh so representative of how the character is supposed to feel in the world it as as do the sets you know the whole experience you're not sitting on a green screen sort of trying to imagine what's happening you're right in it you know and and has a a visual response as soon as you put it on which I love and everything's highly practical as well what's the the George expression yeah found objects repurpose so there's nothing in the movie that is Superfluous in any single way if you have something it has to to make sense for a variety of reasons and you have to kind of keep it with you for the whole time yeah we were at cinemacon and uh that was so cool the the the thing you made a you mentioned though and I wanted to bring it up today how jealous your brothers were because growing up you said George Miller is like a idol in the family and you watch Mad Max okay now you're in the movie did they say anything like oh I can't stand you because you're actually doing a Mad Max movie no but you said that at Cinema con and I yeah look I think I mean i' I've been jealous of every Australian that's ever been in a mad Ma film and I'm sure there's a few that now that you know now that we in the film I've joined the club um they haven't seen the film yet but they're really excited you know I mean we have a we have a good friendly competitive Banta but it's all it's all fun oh yeah know I've met your brothers they're great I'm not just trying to drama people WR ah they don't get along they refusing to say but you said that at cinemacon and I John and I were laughing because I'm like dude when I talk to him I'm going to bring that up okay how would you summarize in one word the experience I just talked to George and he's just Legend he's just fascinating but you all got to work with him watch him you know and I as him about you you all he's beaming with pride but how would you summarize if it is one word you can use more than one the experience of making this film what's hard is the first word that comes to mind is Relentless but that makes it sound like something that wasn't an enjoyable experience I think yeah it's Relentless Drive honestly it's everyday striving for something striving for something that you don't know if it's possible but with the people around you you're going to make it possible all right bring us home a word to describe the experience um oh it's just not adventurous I mean it was it was just a continual sort of experimentation and a sort of um diving into the unknown you know we had a beautiful script there but each day was about where else could we take it what else could we do and and and continue to be surprised but it it was it this is why I wanted to become an actor was for the adventure of it the transportation another world another place and so and before I leave mom says hi he met my mom at an award show years ago I told her I was going to see and she said please tell my friend he really did meet my mom I said Mama says hi tell said excellent all right congratulations again thanks for your time good to see you both good to see [Music]
