[Music] and whether dead guys go to blue so yesterday I went up a drove from here about three hours of disconnected II and New York and I Canalis restaurant and my best friend Donna Texas he passed away Alan passed away ten years ago this month like within a couple weeks here this is like the fifth October 2009 teen so I got to get the exact date his mom it was 97 years old yesterday and so I drove up his brother around had called me earlier in a week I said 97 years old I can't missus Giovanna and Tintin Accio this is a wonderful lady I put a clip up on YouTube you can check it out her birthday and this restaurant was so good it was back in is built in 1947 and you can see where the original house they blacked out where the front door used to be kind of Street site and they've grown a banquet facilities they got back with the hall downstairs he said it seats thank 180 and no no you know just a Friday night this jam-pack he said that was a quiet he said it's kind of quieted it like two turns and well you know so I got there a little bit early and I told us that man if they're cool economists feel good so I thought that water would have chases I love that for some reason run away and so it was a bakery like I saw cappuccino espresso as an hourly so I went in in a beautiful that I guess the whole neighborhood is you know all's all Italian type of the day and that's Schenectady and but they had a coffee bar with pastries and deli in the back said oh no we only do two cappuccino on the weekends and but it was just really neat being in that neighborhood and I but giovanna she's their wonderful lady and I just reminisce about Allen and it was a wonderful day and uh put the lady there at the bakery the deli was saying I said how about Canal we see any Goods I checked them out a little bit on Trip Advisor and everything in you know pictures don't do it justice really and she said all its place is fantastic you know you got to get like the garlic chicken and sure enough three of us at the table order the garlic chicken so this is what I would do for you when I garlic chicken but I'm going to call it chicken Giovanna and memory uh June Giovanna and an elbow you know uh just you know people in our lives you know you just never know one day to the next you know where one of one of the numbers up and that would get called it that's it you know and I was a healer and I had really bad whiplash from a waterskiing accident and that he he cured me where everybody else doctors want to cut pain killers and all this and I was able to cure him so I'm just going to bread this up here flour season shake off the excess tag you know because we don't want we don't want we want kind of a thin coating on this we don't want super thick so we're not going to press it right in and your thing with egg when a pen inside you know you can you can put it in front say stop just with the egg so we don't have to worry about it sticking [Music] the world [Music] you flip the pan you know without it so what I would I when I was taught it was like in a small pan with a piece of bread and just continue to put the bread emotional a piece of a piece of old bread just keep covenant so this coffee a lot of garlic so we're gonna put a lot of garlic in there because that dog feel good [Music] oh yeah but I'm going to turn it over just to get a little bothered recipe pretty close to after dinner last night so over the side a nice spaghetti and escarole escarole [Music] when you couldn't let that barometer then embrace it up a little bit with some liquid and slow simmer it comes out so tender and giovanna love you so much and he'll rest in peace I know you're looking down on us last night and Audi's restaurant have you ever in Rotterdam Schenectady New
