quarter pounds undefeated in his campaign to the ring with a record of 17 wins no losses in two draws with 12 wins coming by way of knockout tonight in his fourth world title appearance ladies and gentlemen here is the two-time world champion and the current undefeated reigning and defending WBO 154-pound champion of the world introducing Brian hey foreign and his opponent ready to fight across the Ring of the blue Corner wearing silver trunks gold and red trim hailing from Houston Texas he weighed in at a trim it ready 152 and three-quarter pounds with a record of 34 wins one loss and one draw he has 18 wins coming by way of knockout tonight in his ninth World title appearance ladies and gentlemen here is the current reigning and defending WBA WBC and ibf 154-pound champion of the [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and finally the bell and round one will any fighter do anything considerably different in the rematch who will seize tactical control early first round in the last five was really a cautious Collective round for both for both guys let's see if this is the same thing and Charlie already splitting castano's guard with the jab it normally takes to stanio one or two rounds before he reaches the the level of volume now the last fight he averaged 48 punches around he normally averages for 77. whether he can get up to that number remains to be seen but he wants to be better than the 48. thank you their first fight was the first time in the history of the 154 pound division that a unification about ended in a draw at Charlo lands the right and then the double left hook to the body and upstairs so early aggression from Iron Man gets early on as the first round as he noticed he didn't want to commit too much to it he landed a 1-2 body shot and he pulled right back got in place to the distance to maintain that job pumping an effective hard job at castano looking to walk him down castano going to the body and then gets counted with a right hand right hand Charlie are working to the body with the jab that was one thing I thought they would try in this fight it's a different maneuver they'll lower that guard and give him a chance to work his way in there have been only eight draws in the history of boxing and unification fights [Applause] yeah this is definitely a pace that you know favors Charlo you want to maintain this this Rhythm choose your punches and there he doubles up the jab utilizes footwork under a minute left in the first and now castano both of them exchanging and Charlo backed up nice left hook by castano though Charlie himself landed some so far in this round because uh Trello has not felt the ropes oh it's a much shot but they promised to do more in the opening round and they are yeah double jab from castano yeah Charlie doing a good job to seeing off the ropes circling around but but because I'm just little by little he's getting in closer laptop to the body by Charlo a right hand of the body so Charlo putting in the early investment to the body of castano and that's something that trouble doesn't normally do no he's not a body puncher nice over end right by Terrell castano has done some good work even in the middle of the Ring he wants to show he can do that that it doesn't have to be against the ropes nine of 33 for Charlo eight of 30 two for costano great opening round [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] s let's revisit the keys to victory for Charlo stay off the ropes he did that very well around one he did establish his jab he was starting to use that punch and we saw one really nice right hand get in against uh castano and with he'll want to continue that as for Brian castano destroying combinations didn't get to that in yet in round one but he wants to do that and the body he started out jabbing to the body but we're gonna see left hooks downstairs and then we're gonna see the double left hook which he did throw one time in that first round and clipped Charlo on the jaw [Music] throughout his career we have seen that when Brian castagno established his strong momentum in the first few rounds he tends to stay at that level for the remainder of the fight and now you mentioned it took a little while in the first fight and well Charlo coming forward here in the second in costano responding but both of them especially Charlo much more aggressive here early Abner yeah as he waits as uh casanya comes in Charlie pulls back and he lands his combinations yeah counter and it's proving to be that early yeah he's got a better hand than most people think that's the good work at range by Charlo and this fight's going to be just like that the whole time the times that casino has landed their right hand is because Charlie pulls back with his hand with his uh left hand down first time we've seen Charlo along the ropes and able to Circle away wanting to bait castano in flashes the jab hoping to get castagno to counter that deliver a shot lands a nice right hand through the guard there's the jab blocked by costano now we're yet to see Cassano's left hook he's landed the right hand he's got to follow up with the hook we saw that jab to the body by Charlotte that's how unified the titles against Jason Rosario dropping him and stopping them with them what was really a jab to the body out of the eighth round nice right hand from Charlo and a left clips costano good movement from Jamel Charlo and even though this isn't a big ring it's 20 feet he's used it very effectively so far in this fight fairly effectively you can see the changes that he's made from last fight to this fight he feels a touch on the glove he comes back with the counter punches there's a combination by costano blocked and then Charlo left uppercut left hook behind the guard and that left hand a very effective weapon for Jamel Charlo under a minute left in the second lead left hook right hand by costano left hook to the body by Charlo the sign you has to be a little bit more aggressive jab and the style will make it difficult and not just aggressive by closing the distance you got to throw punches more volume from castano [Applause] and now the bigger Charlo [Applause] it's the left and the left uppercut up to middle by Jamel Charlo [Applause] now that's in a position where Cassandra wants to get in there and try to throw that hook and especially with Charlie on the ropes although it was in the second round where Charlo hurt costano in the first fight with the left up because Daniel Comes Back castagna lands a left hand and we saw it in the first fight but stanio would come on late in the rounds well an intriguing second round first castano coming in with an overhand right that gets there we talked about the lead right that he's that he throws it's so effective and then later on Charlo countering effectively here's the left hook now in the last fight it was round two in which Charlo hurt him with the left hook in this case here we are in round two again Landing a nice left hook so and then there's the right hand by Charlotte but costano getting in there as well so that was a fairly close round uh bocello it looked like it maybe did a little better work [Music] please [Music] round number three triple jab by Charlo stanio with some body movement trying to find a way to navigate to close the gap like he needs to do in order to find success and did have success at times in that first fight last July now for some Fighters averaging about 50 punches around wouldn't be anything to see to get excited about but Charlo has averaged about 50 punches in this round he normally averages 37 so he's been more activists than he would castano only 88 punches so far in the strike that's why you want to start the round Charlie establishing the jab the distance and you saw when castano got in what did Charlie do he grabbed on to him right away Charlo just misses with that sweeping left hook Charlo finding smaller leaning back and has to be cognizant of the uppercut stiff jab and then the right hand of the body so he's going to the body a lot sooner here in this rematch look at the steps back to that that Charlo takes yeah good footwork not lounging on the ropes like we saw him do at times early and throughout the fight in their first meeting now there you go that's that you want to take that jab away with that right hand over on top of the Jabs half Carlo think twice before he lands that Jab minute and a half left in the third Charlo goes to the body before going upstairs with the left hook and then the Jab castano with the left and all that right uppercut conquist Daniel but he ate it well the side of the land of the left hook to the body wanted to double but Charlie did a very good job of leaving exiting that situation Cassandra showed us a great chin in the first fight and again in this fight and I mean really both Fighters right yeah because that guy has great power in his land he hurt Charlie and it was in the third round of the first fight where he clicked Charlie with the left hook late and this is a much closer round in round three I don't know whether cassani was doing enough to win it but he's thrown more punches and has landed some there was a nice left hook and there's a left by Charlo Charlo had responsible defense in that first fight but now they are anti ramping up the output and the pressure and this is what makes this fight so exciting because that's where castanya wants to be in the inside but guess what Charlie is a great counter puncher and he comes back with his one two punch like he did right there oh and there's a left hook by castano and left hook by in the late stages of the Third you concealed castano the warning to the task a little bit in this round Charlie just misses with the right [Applause] Crossing 68 punches Landing 18 in this round compared to 11 of 48 for Charlotte so another good round for costano here in round three much like the first fight in the third foreign countering off uh now here he's against ropes which uh he hasn't been much in this fight Landing a good counter right hand as castano tries to get those left hooks in so Charlo countering well and then here is castano on the inside again that was one of the best punches Cassano threw in the in the round an excellent left hook and that's the punch castano wants to get in in this fight [Music] James Charles Corner wanting him to commit to the Bodywork short shots on the inside and the uppercut he said don't even worry about the head yeah we also saw uh Juan Guzman one of the best defensive Fighters you know that I got to witness and see as a fighter he was in Jamal it's your mouth Corner yeah he speaks very highly about what Guzman has brought to the team of course defense jab is a great defensive weapon and can set up a nasty offensive attack for the first time castano is fainting and he's using some head movement he was kind of coming in on a straight line before let's see if that makes it get inside better Charlo reps a left hook to the body castagno comes back countered by Charlo again clipped him with the right and the left and castano standing his ground but has to be careful against a guy like Charlo yeah that was a great speed great combination from Charlo but again Casio keeps coming yes he does closing the Gap but Charles Landing some [ __ ] out there's the right hand you want to follow up with the hook and in that first fight we saw castano utilize a combination of aggression mixed with his responsible defense to at times disarming mute the attack of Charlo one of the questions will be and cellos Lennox is very nice counterparts this year what effect will the pressure of castano have as we move out and and how many of these early rounds has Charlo Bank well we're seeing Charlie utilize a lot more footwork yes he's on the ropes but not as long and hasn't hasn't had to face much of a an offensive Onslaught from castano when he is on the ropes yeah the few times really well obviously castano and Lance one or two punches that are really clean but I think they're both for most I think Charles Landing some good shots [Applause] there's a lead left talk left to the body stonyo putting together a combination in the final minute of the fourth both throwing left Hooks and Carlos Landing with authority and what an exchange here in the fourth in the center of the Ring [Applause] who's doing more there's that chap splitting the guard of castano by Charlo under 30 seconds left in the fourth castano continues to stop Charlo Lanza left upstairs there's a right uppercut by Charlo trying to avoid these shots on the ropes [Applause] don't you Great Exchange oh good ride to hand bike shops fantastic finish to the fourth [Applause] s [Applause] [Music] everything right here everybody [Applause] well what an ending to that round uh this is where Charlo would get back on the ropes now he was hit with some shots but also counter well here is a uh a nice left hook by uh Charlo and that was right at the end of the round when the bell was ringing and you could feel the intensity between these two men we're doing well we're doing well just keep throwing that combination costano's father Carlos Alberto his trainer we mentioned Derrick James in Jamel Charles corner round number five scheduled for 12. to determine the first Undisputed male 154-pound champion it's a scary thing but those are the rules that costano has to take in the inside he has to throw Ballin punching and hoping he doesn't get counter that left was at the belt line by Charlo and there's a counter left by Charlotte castano keeps coming Angelo in the back foot it's the interesting thing about this and Frank castano just always keeps coming in and of course Charlotte's doing some good kind of work but Charlo doesn't stop castagno undefeated Charla launching the right hand off the ropes these styles are just perfect for each other really what an exciting matchup most of the time you you have two basic face you know all bra type of fun but this is a clean the rapper that really hasn't intervened in this fight [Applause] and Channel with the combination castano going to the body before going upstairs there's a double but that beautiful counter again the left by Charlotte that momentarily stopped costano in his tracks castano is getting in better position to throw those double left Hooks and that one did land but as you point out Charles still smart poised enough to counter it and that's what the Charlo Camp told us after you're mentioning it what costano has to do in order to be successful actually plays into the fact that he opens himself up to these counters from Charlo he does and I think Charles Camp knows that and that's exactly and and every time he feels a punch here and there he'll he'll counter right away but it's hard because the volume that Cassandra puts in it's not as easy so it's definitely a hard-working rate for both Fighters Charlo continues to be economical in his output when it comes to punches but he's Landing lemon castano is too nice right hand by Castalian incredible two-way action [Applause] oh [Music] The Lure of the crowd all the commentary you need less than 30 seconds left over 7 000 fans here as Charlo just jolted castagna with the right uppercut and there's a combination back in costaniewa 15 seconds left in the fifth [Applause] what a fight [Applause] all right [Applause] well that was some round wasn't it the first part of the round castano got a lot done we see him here doubling with the hook and cello countering well that is this one in microcosm really and the nice right hand by castano then later in the round there would be a moment here oh nice right hand by castano and cello was against those ropes getting hit but and after the first half of the round in which castano did extremely well it was Charlo whose power came to the fore nice right hand that sent Cassano back and for about a 35 second period Charlo was in complete control of that round and using his power [Music] [Applause] we're just miles away from Tinseltown now sequels are usually as good as the original this one already is much better than even what the first was call this one Godfather thank you something that Charlie did really beautiful when he heard uh Cassandra well he got a good shot in he did a sidestep he created a gap and he landed a nice uppercut I want to see that from him uh when them they opened the closest uh distance Daniel leading with the right hand but gets countered by the right from Charlo there's again the lead right by costano but again a quick counter from Dremel Charlo Charlie has to be careful he's eating a lot of right hands leaving that left hand down both of them have been down once in their respective careers I apologize no that's okay and that is the the part of castano's game that's a long or underrated but he can get it in there we say they're both been defensively responsible in the first fight a lot of these shots getting through tonight [Applause] okay if you're Christian you gotta want to keep throwing that right hand jump in with that right hand there it is throw the left hook keep going stay in the inside working a good rate now if you're Charlo you want to Jabs power punches power punches you see and that's the costano and of course the job that you will go to Charo so that's what what what kind of kind of counteracts that a little bit shot him trying to utilize his Footwear costano not going anywhere doing a good job trying to cut off the ring and keep travel around there's a jab from castano the Lance countered by Charlo Charlo utilizing his upper body movement but getting tagged more often you know and we've seen castano land 3-4 good Jabs underused weapon in the early rounds it is and we mentioned the jab you got to be affected with the jet constantly with the Japanese but then again casanya comes with the right hand side uppercut by Charlo foreign costano is putting together combinations going to the body trilo digging with the uppercut this is the Brian castano that's a hard guy to deal with constant pressure and combination two-time Titleist as is Jamel Charlo but it's for all the marbles it's to become Undisputed right hand lands foreign [Applause] tremendous two-way action as we reach the midpoint of this historic night in Carson California wow the punch ball living up to its reputation here tonight dear I say already a Carson classic and we're all red only halfway through well there's no lack of highlights to show you in this fight and now there's castano using his jab to walk his way and that helped set up that right hand and uh the right is becoming the dominant weapon for castano which is not the norm in his attack as for Charlo continued to do the good work using the jab to set up the straight right hand uh and that's the right hand that a couple rounds ago had castano hurt cassanio was busier in the last round through more punches possibly landed more and in the last few rounds castano has kind of started to even things up in this fight [Music] as close as it gets As Good As It Gets number one and two with 154 pound division meeting Summit looking to become just a seventh male Undisputed champion in the four belt era castano looking to become the first South American Undisputed champ now call me crazy but I think Charlo has to keep this fight in the center of the Ring that's what he said you don't want to box too much you're tired yourself a lot keep that fight right where it is right now all right let's bring in our unofficial score Stephen how do you have it at the halfway point my friend [Applause] oh I have it dead even 57-57 I gave the first three to Charlo the next three to castano it seems like when they brawl and exchange castano gets the edge what it's worth after six rounds in the first fight fight was even after six months here I haven't even flew all over again yeah the up and flow of another scintillating show between Jamel Charlo and Brian castano when it comes to adjustments as we begin the second half here Abner looking at what costano has been doing well what would you like to see him do more of that Charlo comes forward with accommodation he's touching him with that right hand take the jab away with that right hand and that's exactly what he's doing because Charlie's not throwing it as much because he's scared of getting him at the right oh another counter left staggered Brian castagno and that's the well-timed hook from Charlie but boy he could take a shot out uh yeah that's for sure and now when you I mean I was going to ask you about travel and guess what he's doing is what you'd like to see him do more of yeah you know he he needs to make sure as Abner said that he stays in the center of the rain uses the jab in a straight right hand and doesn't get into those wild exchanges as much although he lands big Power punches sometimes when he does foreign you talked about the jab which wasn't as as for custody in the first fight much more here in the rematch and now Charlo trying to come back but with castano he's always under pressure and Cassandra has thrown 155 Jabs in this fight incredible a very good number for him he wants to continue doing that even when it misses like that it helps set things up for him [Applause] hoping again to land a counter jab to the body by costano before Charles jab was blocked and there are three-points combination punctuated by the left uppercut and there's a combination by costano and again it's it's trouble picking his spot and that high of the hurricane Landing the counter shot just missing with the left uppercut [Applause] James [Music] back on them but you gotta can't hurt him enough just watch it got an interview jab back him down with the jab hands up [Applause] had a a good tactical round in that round using the jab and the straight right hand again the beautiful jab he controls the distance very effectively in that round and minimized the uh the aggression of castano castano was able to attack from time to time but there's the nice counter left hook by uh Charlo and so Jamel Charlo very efficient in that last round and Lenny's very nice shots and when the pace is a little slower definitely behooves jermell Charlo as we go to round number eight jab to the chest by costano and utilizing the job a lot more Abner as we've mentioned he's got to do exactly what he did in the seventh round exactly that and make this fight a lot easier for Charlo I know it's easy to set than done because you have a really tough cassania that is always going to give you a fight but that's how you make an easier fight keep the fight in the center of the Ring jab fake keep take the the aggression from from uh sign You by doing that now castano averaged 48 punches that would have been the first fight he's averaging 65 in this one he's done better in terms of upping his rate not so much in the last round though and you get sense Charles seeing everything from from that distance yeah except for that right hand at the time did well yes I know Charlie with the counter of the right hand and that's how you take the jab away from Charlo castano the right hand you do it again it's right there jab got split the guard three punch combination Charlo ratcheting up his offense off the ropes now leading with the right and the left and he's now starting to sit down on his punches flashing the Jab meanwhile costano has Charlo corralled in the corner just missing with the counterweight cross Charlie doing a much better job in these last couple rounds are staying off the roads when he gets himself close he's Wheeling off those ropes nip and talk affair on The Unofficial scorecard of Steve farhood right hand again from castano left talking the left hook from Charlotte and the high guard of costano nullifying some of the attack yeah Charlie doing a fine job but coming right back on time with the one two three and moving not saying on the ropes final minute of the eighth castano has Charlie on the ropes and on the break misses with the sweeping right Trello on the back foot again sticks the jab side to side China waiting to counter [Applause] lands one to the Head yeah great ambassador from castano good body shots and again the lead right hand of castano continues to disturb Charlie he's not known for that but we as we've often said in his last two fights he has a pretty sneaky good right hand and there's a one-two by castano it's a close round but Charles boxwell here from Carson California over 7 000 fans on hand for this historic night of boxing more of an LOL Bernstein Abner Morris that bring side along with Brian Custer Jim Gray in the entire Showtime championship boxing crew foreign [Music] costano throwing the right hand over the little bit lazy jab of cello that punch didn't land perfectly but it did get in and when uh Charlo leaves his jab out there uh castano was able to get that right hand in and remember castano is shorter with giving away reach in this fight so you would think those right hands wouldn't get in nice counter left took by uh Charlo and he's done that so often in this fight uh and uh even off the ropes he's trying to counter you see him there while he's he's pinned a little bit on Earth he was the one doing the counter yeah that was a close round and maybe a pivotal one depending on how the judge escorted this is now round at number nine castano leading with the left hook oh [Applause] wow nice counter off the ropes again the left talking we're seeing some wear and tear on the face of Brian castagno but neither fighter yet to go down and they've thrown some some heavy shots throughout this fight and there's a nice combination scores for cholo yeah and that's the counter punching on the ropes off the ropes in the last several rounds Charlo has boxed very effectively and he's now Landing that textbook one two through the guard at castano in the center of the Ring where chemel Charlo would love to keep this fight it's all about Rhythm you got to feel the rhythm jab jab one step back come back it's all Rhythm and boxing really while he's pushing forward in the last several rounds hasn't been throwing the the punches to get on the inside but jabbing not jabbing his way in and not throwing those combinations there you keep good throwing if you're good you want to keep it going to spot to try and do it and Charlie does a great job of getting off the ropes more than a thousand punches thrown in this championship fight just past the midpoint of round number nine the rematch [Applause] exceeding expectations and the power connects you see that's everything other than the jam so you see the edge to castano he is according to show stats leading in that department but uh Charles certainly doing better in the jab department and it's also where those punches are framed in what rounds butting pressure on three punch combination by Charlo coming back but Charlo now has to put together these conference competitions has to up to the offense much like Derek James wanted him to do at the stage of the fight the last time around he responded remember he swept all three the final rounds on the judge's scorecards in their first fight 30 seconds left in the ninth castano coming forward clipped again with the left hook upstairs and another double left hook left uppercut by castano yeah they're still stopping against Daniel and again taking these risks and those of course of course not but Cassano has to bring in the fight but Charlotte doing a fine job of countering I want to see a little bit more uppercut that's in the inside from Charlo we are definitely seeing more combinations from Charlo than we saw in the first fight but castagna now going upstairs and Landing [Music] one of the moments in that last round was Charlo lands the combination that's been a trademark in this fight for him the jab and the straight right hand and you know he's shown us some good defense as he's been on the ropes here he's kind of holding on to castano and getting out of the off those ropes and this is the kind of boxing that he wants to do making customers with the hook now Cassano had some good moments toward the end of the round there's a the little right hand that landed though Charlo clipped him with a counter punch as well uh and castano's keeping up the pressure and and got in some pretty good shots toward the end uh of the round though that right hand was won but there were some others sending a glance over to Charles saying hey we're definitely in a fight and those are words that we were used to hearing the first fight that we saw Cassano coming up late coming up late in the rounds to try to steal them and now starting aggressively encountered by Charlie round number 10 and this was the round in the first fight where Chavo earned castano and felt that he what he said made his only mistake and not stop now Jamel Charlo is a good finisher in 12 round fights he was very good in the fight with castano he finished the Harrison fight well he he's come back another fight scene when he fought down David Jackson he's a good fighter in the later rounds and if he has built up a little Edge as G farrow's uh scorecard suggests cassania could have a problem here because shallow is usually good and he's later rounds and again the Diop has the work in the office was which is the gym we're talking about the defensive aside from Charleston accommodation by castano and a better combination from Charlo as a counter Geron Guzman having Juan Guzman in his corner you can sense you know he learned a lot from him using the whole ring the Jab Steve Farah unofficially feeling like Charlo has moved ahead in this fight of course that's unofficial but um it feels like Charles dunnellally's last few rounds [Applause] and Cassandra normally is good at cutting the ring off hasn't been able to do that as well against Chalo especially in these last three or four rounds [Applause] thank you continues to put on the pressure throws the right hand off the break great footwork from Charlie yeah and what does what people say people people think that it's just running around and that's football no right hand from Los Angeles right there comes back with a combination final minute finish your thought on football yeah I mean it's being placed at the right time there it is you put yourself in for the upper guns [Applause] welcome and just like in the first fight Charlo has castano heard in the 10th but unlike four five Carlo closes the show in the rematch in round 10 and Jamel Iron Man Charlo who turns 32 in five days now rules the 154 pound division with an iron fist what a left hook all right foreign costano here tonight as he did in his rematch with Tony Harrison Charles power ended up being the difference again late in a fight just like he did when he knocked out Harrison and we talked about it beforehand they felt the power ultimately would see the differentiator and that is exactly what happened you uh you mentioned it that in these later rounds he makes those adjustments he still has the power to get you out and that was proven once again from Jamel Charlo well placed uppercut well-placed hook and again we're talking about the footwork easy to be placed in the right place to throw those hands in and he did really well jamaicolo [Music] Spence Jr happy as well his stable mate has made history Sebastian Fundora in the background he's smiling because he's like hey do I get next this division special moment for the twins yeah they uh and a special moment for the Charlotte family including his wife yes I mean this is uh you can almost feel the relief too the happiness and the relief because he was able to get the job done in his second fight his division continues to produce great fights and uh and what it demonstrates too is that Charlo who in recent fights has gone through the gauntlet a very good uh opponent and now here he is back on top with the Undisputed Championship not that they ever fell for his purse because he had the title but a very big win for him and again the 154-pound division delivers a very good fight Charlo records his 19th and knocked out a knockout two more knockdowns in this fight 15 in his last 11 fights 10 in his last five and the power is for Real yeah four of the last five fights he scored a knockout and he we will revisit how he did it here um he was boxing well for the last several rounds of this fight but then now he would set down on his power punches and it was the left hook that ultimately did the damage that left hook sent castano down kind of a delayed reaction uh and remember in round two of the first fight the left hook of Charlo is what hurt costano and he he brought that back out of mothballs for this uh later part of this fight we'll take a look again at the left hook a nice short left hook on the inside Abner yeah nice to uppercut but it was it was a short-leved hook that got him right in the chin one of those punches you don't see it it almost you could see that it didn't have that much power power but clearly he did yeah Delayed Reaction by castano and cello you know people say well he doesn't really on the inside how good a fighter is he this is a demonstration he is a good fighter on the inside the compact left hook yes the fact that he got so much power behind happened to him oh globally but also what happened right now in this fight and it was once he had castano hurt and you know what I love there is using the jab taking his time he's already had him hurt but instead of throwing wild punches he's throwing that Jackhammer jab and then he sees the opening for them as long as they body puncher he got it done there yeah he got to give it to Charlo he made a lot of adjustments coming into this fight and there were really noticeable we saw him he made Perfections and this is what happens when you make those adjustments and the twins have plenty of reason to celebrate their 32nd birthday in five days they made history together but tonight belongs to smell Iron Man Charlo the first Undisputed male 154 pound check and we'll look at the numbers for this fight and see that channel was a little busier than he had been in the first fight and it's ironic that 173 landed is the exact number that castano landed against him which was the most ever land against Charlotte here's another interesting point castano LED their 194 punches that exceeds the 173 so much he's the man that's twice has landed the most functions against Charlo but in this case of course it wasn't enough for him to get the job done as entertaining as the first fight was this one that much more so in this one hey no draws no judges a definitive end to this historic night let's parents and uh I just wanted to be in there I know castana was gonna give his all and I knew I had trained very very hard y'all can see I came in at 152 because I was really in shape and I wanted to make sure this was my fight but uh I'm just uh super excited for everything that uh me and my brother put on for lines only um the future is bright it sure is how did you contain and control your emotions with the late arrival and the long delay well you know I'm just getting there in the fight you know I don't care about um being late I don't care about who early you know I knew once I got to this this Arena and I'm fighting outside in this beautiful place I have to get it on you've been great in rematches what adjustment and changes did you have to make to be successful well I'm listening to my corner this time I I can say you know um you know I I got in my bag around the seven round I started sitting down a little bit more instead of like boxing so much and moving around I see that uh he was wearing down a little bit and I was breaking him down so uh the obvious came away and uh and I stepped up it was basically an even fight until that seven around and then you took control in seven eight and nine and then ending it in ten which you will look at in just a moment but what changed the complexion of this I just thought seeing my punches be more effective uh I get stronger by the later rounds if they didn't know uh and that's what happened all right let's take a look at this knock down here in the tenth round with this vicious left tell us from your Vantage Point Jamel what's happening he was up close and I tried to block it I didn't I threw a body shot and I threw a left hook and that was all she wrote yeah did you know it right then well once I seen him crumble right in front of me uh I'm pretty sure he was gonna get back up because you know that was the first knockdown but I knew it was over and now we jump to the end of the fight right here you could sense it yeah the jab lender too well the right hand came perfect and I threw the uppercut sure I remember you know it takes body shot this quite certainly is how going forward you will be defined these two fights with castano it takes a great opponent to bring out the greatness in someone else how do this going forward uh there's a legacy man this is something that is legendary I'm a legend you know they gonna keep putting them in there when you're at the top like this you get a bunch of mandatories you get a bunch of number one guys so you just got to prepare and be ready for it at all times I've never seen you this calm and this is your your highest peak can you explain why I mean Life is Beautiful for me it's amazing I work really hard and I and I you know see the fruits of my labor soaring between me I got my yeah I got my young kids shout out to Al Haymon for all the opportunities he gave me you know shout out to you know my mama my dad for raising such a decent young man and uh you know they go to the WBC for being the first built that I got and uh I I ain't done dog I might move up to 60 and see if I can do it again congratulations terrific fight it was an honor to cover
