hey everyone it's me Hawk IG here with another video for you this video is all about the best tips and tricks you should know in order to play chaos dwarfs to their Highest Potential I'll be going over five points that I think are the most important ones for everyone to know so with that being said let's get started now tip number one is to always build towers when you build an outpost or a factory at the capital location you just get a standard minor settlement out of it you can see we're not like there's a trade resource there's no special buildings there's no can't get it to tier five nothing special like that that should really be all the convincing you need now obviously this province is an exception because it's a case love Province we can't get a tier V building we can't make this a tower anyway but if that's not good enough for you then I'll explain it in detail the reason why is because the tower has so many buildings that are otherwise inaccessible hero capacity buildings from our Advanced military buildings Global recruit duration reduction and Global recruitment capacity public order to adjacent provinces Lord and hero recruit rank faction wide and a big amount of conclave influence if you need it which really you will for most of the game not to mention wins a magic power Reserve diplomatic relations we can get more conclave influence from the Capitol building of the tower itself as well so all of these are really valuable one could argue some exceptions for this depending on like trade resources in a province or like this province where it's not even an option so if you are really certain you can get significant value then go for go without a tower somewhere but overall I think those situations are extremely rare they're not something I want to make a recommendation for if you think you recognize one feel free to try it yourself now tip number two is that factories make raw materials for no labor there's been a lot of debate a lot of discussion and different perspectives on how to build provinces even in the guide that I made about how to make their economy function I think there's advice that I might change now originally I had said two outposts for everyone Factory but I think that's only true for your first you know two or three provinces at most one thing I've definitely changed my mind on is factories and this building that gives you bonus raw material output this is a building with a lot of value and once you're past the early game you'll actually get a lot more value from focusing on making more factories and more of this building why focus on making factories well it's fairly simple this building provides raw material output that doesn't cost any labor this will have more and more value as your economy scales up you know once you have more provinces every one of these provinces can give you like you have such a good spread of raw materials and your labor requirements are just going to increase and increase and increase and if you want to be able to keep a decent hold on that you are going to need to be able to spread that out so getting a bunch of raw materials for free increasing the efficiency of your workload requirement buildings if we can get another 60 production on this building that's another 240 raw materials that actually means we get more raw materials than our workload there's a lot of trade resources that can output stuff like that which this makes it even more efficient right we've got raw materials output increased already from this and then on top of that the other bonuses so it's really good to stack things like that together even here with our tier 4 drill giving us 500 raw materials I probably don't even need this mine to Output that those resources and I probably should have gotten something like this armaments boost as well because of the armaments it gives and we can stack that with our other Armament producing buildings but anyway hopefully that's making sense the point is to maximize your labor efficiency and keep good material output at maximum at all times eventually your labor costs scale up so much it's hard to keep track of this can also be coupled with things like the console seat that gives you five percent raw materials per turn and the district bonus that gives you another five percent raw materials per turn so all those things kind of come together and work together in order to really give you a lot of raw materials from a small number of mines in a in a large number of provinces in the late game now provinces with trade resources can be an exception and you may build differently around them you know there's a port settlement here which obviously I don't have isn't there another Port over here yeah the shattered Stone own Bay I don't control this yet so I can't really showcase it we can at least see this boost your Armament production well maybe I would focus more on factories here so depending on your trade resource you might lean more heavily into one type of building or another the point is there are exceptions to this and I think it's fairly straightforward to explain it's based on the trade resource type you have check the trade resource building in a province to see what it's going to give you and you might want to focus more on outposts or armaments buildings from there depending on what kind of output it's going to boost the last piece that really brings this all together you might be saying well I don't really have problems with labor the thing is you can spend labor to get conclave influence and generate treasury so being able to get money for free means you're less reliant on money from all sources which frees up your ability to spend other resources or build other buildings getting more conclave influence this is something that definitely builds up over time and the more conclave influence you get the faster you can get on track with confederate meeting the other chaos dwarfs and getting all of their bonuses as well now my next tip is going to come we're going to come back to the tower the tip is don't steal seats in the tower of Jar this one's pretty straight forward I think maybe there's some exceptions you know the raw materials and armaments boosting buildings or seats could be really good but as a general rule I don't think it's worth stealing seats reason number one you get bonuses from these districts once they're filled out with all the seats whether no matter who holds the seat the bonuses are nice they build up over time the less influence you spend fighting each other for a specific bonus that you want the more time you spend unlocking these bonuses like these other bonuses right picking a seat that maybe you don't really want might still give you a good bonus reason number two is in order to unlock higher tiers you need to complete two districts on the current tier you could spend the influence to steal a seat a lower seat with a low tier benefit but it's better to just take a new unclaimed mid-tier benefit even if it's at a little higher cost or just build towards it and over the long term it's a lot more influence efficient that way reason number three probably pretty obvious eventually you Confederate the other factions and as soon as you do Confederate them you gain all of their seats on the console it honestly sucks to see them steal your seats especially with some of the value some of the bonuses have telling yourself you'll get it later still might not be convincing will it be 40 or 50 turns before you can get it again by stealing it back through Confederation for something like the raw materials or armaments bonus like I said it might be worth stealing it back if it's taken from you but otherwise I find it's much better to just find another good empty seat to take and close in on the confederations now my next tip is about global recruitment advantages that the chaos dwarves have so the first one to look at is the war machines building the one that makes your artillery gives you Global recruit duration reduction in the region now at the top level this actually increases your Global recruit capacity as well but this is a building that can also be constructed in your factories in a minor settlement so that means that with a with a low investment in different provinces that are on your Frontiers or borders you can actually get a significant redu reduction to your Global recruitment it's a really good tool to use it's nice to build up that Global recruitment capacity by having more of these as you can get them in addition there are a couple of pieces of research we can get one of them is again another increase to Global recruit slots and recruitment cost reduction and then there's yet another Global recruit duration minus one bonus so if you think about it between the three reduction from this bill building and the one from research we can actually recruit you know High tier units that cost three turns local six turns Global well six minus four is two meaning through Global recruitment you can actually recruit High tier units faster than you can recruit them locally of course there's the cost issue but this is just a good thing to note and again you know cost isn't often an issue for the cast doors and if you find it is turn your labor into money and that cost issue goes away now our final tip here is about the convoys and I highly recommend that you save convoys until you're out of the early game what does the early game mean you kind of have to decide for yourself but I rarely send out convoys at all for the first 20 or 30 turns minimum in my experience the problem is that the enemies will see them and declare war on you I know this is the Realms of chaos map and many of you might be playing Immortal Empires but the problem is the same right if I'm going to send to the haunted forest that's close well this is occupied by some vampire counts and they will see your Caravan they will Claire war on you and they will attack it because they have nothing better going on at this stage of the game instead it's better to either be drazwa and take it over yourself or wait until he does this for you and then that way you can send your Caravans there safely the same is true in Immortal Empires as Jatan the black you know if you move East and you either befriend or take over Villages land you can send Caravans there safely as astrogoth once you've moved into the north maybe you take over one or two provinces North but you can make friends with the rest of the Norse guns and some Warriors of chaos up there you can send in that direction so just some examples of you want to make sure that the route is going to lead mostly through you know friendly territory because you're the chaos doors nobody likes you people are any neutral or a faction of order is more than happy to randomly declare war on you just to attack a caravan it's particularly annoying it makes you feel like you wasted money on the Convoy it also means that your overall appearance of strength is weakened in others view the more are people at war with you the more likely you are to see Wars get piled on top of you instead so once you have control of some Convoy route that will pass through your own territory or through some friendly territory then start sending convoys there and as you continue to grow continue to send them out you do want to use them a lot later in the game because they give the best ratio of expenditure to income no matter what you're using them for it's probably better to use them to get labor than it is to get money but the point Remains the Same no matter what you're trying to convert for you're going to get a better ratio of goods so with that being said I've covered everything that I wanted to for this guide chaos dwarfs have been a lot of fun to play and figure out and I've learned a lot of things from some of my friends as well I've always been a fan of the slow and steady style of play and the chaos dwarfs can honestly do a lot of different things and have a lot of different styles there's a lot of tricks and depth to their various mechanics and features however and it might take a lot of work to for uncover at first what really works so that's the point of this guide I believe I've covered lots of important parts that aren't obvious on first glance and things that might not become apparent until later in the campaign as well with the knowledge I've given you here your campaigns should go much smoother and you'll develop into a place of power much more easily if you have any good tips and tricks of your own about the cast dwarfs please share them in the comments section below if you have any other questions about the chaos dwarfs please feel free to ask them as well and as always thanks for watching have a great day and we'll see you on the next one
