Changing the Vacuum breaker on a T-550

[Music] today we're going to remove and replace the vacuum breaker assembly on a frost-free Silcock we're using the t 550 here but the procedure is the same for any frost reese okay first thing you're going to do is remove the dust cap it'll either be a chrome brass or a plastic dust cover that's removed and next you're going to remove the body of the vacuum breaker assembly using a pair of needle nose pliers you're going to put the tips of the needle nose players into the slots of the vacuum breaker body turning counterclockwise to remove that once you remove the body you'll see the piston assembly that's inside there now you're going to take these parts and replace them with new parts taking the vacuum the piston assembly make sure the vacuum breaker is there and make sure the rubber is up put it into the body of the vacuum breaker assembly put those together into the body of the valve threading that down this is an o-ring seal and you want to make sure you just hand tighten that you shouldn't need any tools next you'll take the dust cover and thread that onto the body again this just needs to be hand tight doesn't need any tools and once you have that on the repair is complete [Music]
