How to Fix Outside Faucet Leaking Water (Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breaker Repair)

in this video i'll show you how to fix your outdoor faucet if it's leaking like mine here the reason is leaking it's probably the anti-siphon vacuum breaker and i'll show you how to replace it the first step is obviously to turn off the water then you have to remove this metal cap if you can't do it using your bare hands take a channel lock some pliers anything and rotate anti-clockwise okay perfect now we can just undo it by hand once you're done place this aside now we need to remove this other piece here that is made out of plastic again if you can try using your fingers maybe removing it by turning it anti-clockwise sometime it will work if not take your pliers back and yeah remove it using those here we go here we go oops it fell down the problem is that there's a gasket here i mean there are two of them and they crack over time as you can see here it's cracked at multiple places and yeah this is the reason why there is a leak my replacement part is this eastman vacuum breaker repair kit i got it on amazon but i'm sure you can find a similar one at home depot or whatever you use to shop i'll put the link in the description though if you want to get the same one now what's left to do is to put the new parts back together this way and then put this plastic part over here tightening this plastic part only using your finger is usually more than enough since it's plastic using metal pliers is not super recommended but for this top part since this is metal you can start scrolling with your fingers and at the end simply take a plier and finish the job not too tight either just enough so you can untight it using your fingers now you can open back the valve and see if it's still leaking if you did it correctly nothing will go out from this valve and the water will just flow normally so thanks for watching i hope this was useful please leave a like maybe even comment and well i'll see you in the next one
