it after me I will dwell in the shelter of the most high God I will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty God is my refuge and my Fortress you are my God and whom I trust and with great confidence in whom I will rely God will Rescue Me from every trap and protect me from every disease I am covered and protected by his outstretched arms God's faithful promises are my armor and my protection I will not be afraid of the Terrors of the night nor of the arrows that fly in the day I will not dread any disease that stalks in the Darkness nor any disaster that strikes at midday because God is my refuge and the almighty God of my home no evil can befall me and no player can come near my dwelling God has ordered his angels to guard defend and protect me in my house God's armies of Heaven will keep me from falling I will walk unharmed and kick anything that is evil from my path because of God's love for me will call upon him he will set me above all my troubles he will deliver me from all my fears and he will honor me with his presence and Power I declare that he will reward me with a long life and he will show me his salvation today I am Psalms 91 equipped in Jesus name come on somebody give the Lord a big handclap amen well welcome praise God to change experience 2023. we are so glad to be here with you and uh welcome all of our family that's online that'll be on our online with us this morning because we won't be online tonight so we welcome all you guys those of you who supposed to be working you need to ask the Lord to help you now ask them to help you praise God and uh I um I'm really thrilled about what I have to share with you because I think we have lost contact with this truth that it takes the power of God to do the things that we're believing for and as we study this this morning I want you to just pack it up on the inside of you take it with you all day to days spend your life with this thing this has been absolutely amazing to me religion likes to talk to you about what you can do but under the grace of God it's all about what God has already done amen and so we're we're gonna get we're going to get into this this morning and father we just thank you so much we praise you for who you are we thank you so much for these precious folks who are here with us this morning and I thank you by the spirit of God you will anoint their ears to hear anoint their hearts to receive thank you Lord that what we receive today will will have a a life-changing uh metamorphosis to take place in our life and we we praise you for that right now bless us right now father I thank you for it I need you this morning we need you this morning we need you every morning amen and we thank you for it and receive it now in Jesus name we pray and everybody said amen well praise God you can be seated [Applause] in the book of Zechariah Chapter 4 and 6 you're very familiar with this verse of scripture Zechariah Chapter 4 and 6. it it it's talking to his Aruba Bell and he says not by might nor by power and referring to not by your might not by your power your ability uh but it's going to be by my spirit and what a prophetic word to give in the generations to come and especially where we are right now today that it's not going to be by our might it's not going to be by our power I don't care how awesome you are how intelligent intelligent you are many degrees you have how long you pray it's not going to be by our might and our power today under this under this gospel of grace it is going to be by the spirit of God and so that's what we want to talk about this morning Godly living by the power of God Godly living by the power of God now before we do anything we we live under a Covenant of Grace this is the New Testament this New Testament in his blood and under the grace of God the grace of God is not a curriculum it is it's not just a subject matter it's so much deeper than that it's a person Jesus who's full of of of of of of of Grace and Truth but now I want to go over this definition one more time before we get started let me one more time I'll go over it a thousand times before she even come back but Grace is not just love Grace is not just a power Grace is the unmerited abounding provision of the unrestrained operation of God's infinite love and it happens through Jesus Christ on our behalf especially for those who depend on him unless let's do that again Grace is unmerited which means you can't earn it it means you don't deserve it it is unmerited abounding that word abounding it's it's ever increasing it's it's increasing provision Grace is provision it is provision for whatever is going on or lacking in your life Grace is provision it is a part of the unrestricted unrestrained operation of God's infinite love when when when this love is unrestrained and unrestricted that means you're crazy won't be able to stop it [Music] um it is the unrestrained unrestricted operation of God's infinite love and it happens through Jesus Christ so you know without Jesus you don't you don't get this you see it happens through Jesus Christ on behalf of mankind on behalf of all of us but here's the point I want you to get especially for those who depend on him how many of you came here depending on God this morning especially for those who depend on him let's look at some things you go to Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 8 and I'm going to be teaching out of the NLT this morning it is so difficult for many people to grasp fully the truth that our salvation the salvation of God the Salvation that we have from the penalty of sin we were saved from the penalty of sin under the law if you could not keep the law then there was a penalty and for some it was death but because we make Jesus the Lord Of Our Lives we are saved from the penalty of sin and it's so difficult for people to realize that this salvation from the penalty of sin is the work of God and it is the work of God Alone it's not because of something that I did to help God this salvation is the work of God and it is of the work of God it is of him alone now the first part of this teaching this morning that's what I'm gonna Hammer this in we didn't bring anything to the table or why am I going to say that because somehow we keep thinking Lord if you take one step then I'll take the rest you need him to take all of them look at this in Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8. I'm going to teach at NLT he says God saved you how by his grace when did he when was he able to save you by his grace when you believed he was able to save you when you believe and he says and you can't take credit for this take credit for this you can't walk around and talk about well I did these three things you know I kept that principle you know because I've been praying real hard and no no no no you don't bring anything to the table you can't take credit for this that's what religion has done religion has eased this thing in that somehow your behavior determines his ability God don't need you to be who he is you need him to be who you are amen you can't take credit for this why it is a gift from God a gift is something you can't deserve a gift is something that you don't earn you got saved and it was it was the work of God that got you saved it was the work of God and God Alone that got you saved honey when you get to heaven you need to thank Jesus it wasn't you well you know you know I just decided this was enough no that was God working all along he was working with you when you went to the bars he was working with you when you were doing stupid stuff he was working with you and you're crazy he was changing your mind he was letting this happen and letting that happen and letting that happen and when you finally got right because of him he was there to give you a gift that you didn't earn or did not deserve it's powerful amen and then in John chapter 6 notice he says that by his grace when you believed when you believed he was able to do this John chapter 6 verse 28 and 29 in the NLT John chapter 6 28 29. man I thought it was going to be hot and sunny up here so I decided to wear to wear my vacation shirt and then I had to go get a jacket when I got here I'm like God oh what happened when I was in Florida doing to me what's going on verse 28 after uh they saw Jesus feed the multitude and they they were like man we want to work the works of God too and they replied we want to perform God's works too what should we do to perform God's works as well and watch this Jesus told them this is the only work God wants from you believe in the one he has sent wow he calls that a work the only thing he wants from us is to believe now today all day today I'm going to deal with this whole contrast tonight we're going to talk about you know works the works that we do the good works that we do is it the priority that God would prefer or is there something available above the good works that Jesus stated himself this is more important than good works I'm going to show you good works are important that he created you to do good works that's important but if you're doing good works and ignoring the priority ignoring the thing that should come first see a lot of people are doing good works trying to get God to do something for him and I'm going to show you tonight there is something that comes before good works God wants good devotion towards him he wants you to love him and be devoted to him and then out of the love and devotion comes the good works we don't do that anymore we try to do good works because it's popular it's popular for everybody to do good works and they get recognized for the good works and they get trophies for the good works and they get an Applause for their good works it ain't like that for Christians God wants you to do what you do because you love him because you're devoted to him because you're a prison God wants you to do what you do because it's coming out of your heart praise God to do it you're not doing good works and looking around to see who's going to give you an Applause you're doing what you do because you're in love with Jesus [Applause] so he says the only thing I want you to do is to believe in the one that he has sent to you now all God does in reconciling us all God does in justifying us all God does in redeeming us all the things that God does in giving us a a new eternal life it is of God Alone it is of God Alone that we are reconciled it is of God Alone that we are redeemed it is of God Alone that we are Justified it is a god of long that we've been made righteous you didn't bring anything to the table amen it is of god alone man can't contribute anything to it this is something I had to drill in my head as difficult as this as this is for man to see it's even more differ to realize that the life which God expects us to live this is powerful the life that God expects for me to live and the life that God expects for you to live it's not going to be by our power it's going to be by his power in other words God expects for us to live life a certain way and he has accepted the responsibility to empower us to do such my God see we're struggling sweating to try to live that life and God said I got you I've already decided this is how I want you to live and it is going to be by my power that you live that way my goodness now that blows the mind of a Believer because we've been trained now we got to do this we got to do this we got to do this in order to live The Godly life now God says I'm going to be the one to do the work I have accepted the responsibility to do the work you know how amazing it is to get together in a morning session and talk to you about repenting or read or changing the way you think about a certain thing you're you're gonna get delivered from yourself this morning [Applause] say this out loud say this out loud God help me not to deceive myself so it's the life which God expects from us is not going to be by my ability and my my power it's going to be by his power because this this is because of this lack of understanding and that's what it is we just lack understanding in this area many Believers watch this word strive In Their Own Strength for for high ideals of moral conduct you strive for Godly living instead of what's this word yielding striving versus watch this yielding instead of yielding themselves to the power of God which will enable them to live according to that high standard of Life under grace uh we we we strive to try to do that and what happens it becomes evident that to live a Godly life is going to take more than human resources it's going to take more than mental resources emotional resources to live this life is going to require us to yield you know in in traffic to yield notice when you yield to a car you let that car go first and then you follow behind to yield to the spirit of God from which this power to live is going to come from you allow him to go first and you follow behind how's your yielding today you're yielding or are you still striving I used to strive for Godly living I used to sweat to try to live Godly but now as I've learned how to yield my prayer has gotten very simple father help me to yield and let your will be done that's it I ain't got to pray about no car no raise nothing cause I don't want nothing that's not your will and I don't want nothing that I'm not yielding to you for Lord help me to yield and let your will be done in my life that's a powerful prayer that's a that's a that's a humble man who's decided to submit himself to the Lord Jesus Christ that is a powerful prayer and after coming through these last three years where the enemy did his best to try to wipe my life out I know that it was by the power of God I was like that guy I was like that guy on the uh what's that movie it was The Matrix right man every time death came I was like whoo and then they come again and like whew and then the big one came I'm like oh I know it wasn't by my power I know it wasn't by my striving I know I wouldn't buy whatever I knew what I learned up here it was by the power of God and it is when you come before God and you say God I depend on you God I yield you I need you Lord stop trying to impress people who don't care [Applause] by getting stuff you can't afford by doing things ain't nobody watching anyway ask God to deliver you from approval addiction that's where you working real hard to get somebody to give you a yes that I'm pleased to you yeah I mean God has already approved to you and because God has already proved to you you need to receive it you need to receive that God loves me I'm his beloved he approves of me why am I going around working real hard to get somebody's approval of me to get somebody's validation of me that's the type of world we're living in right now but when you can get free from people and free and delivered from approval addiction God will be able to use you like you've never been used before and the church said amen [Applause] so divine power alone by itself can produce divine order in our lives it can produce and help us live a Godly life so the fact that the true life under grace is one of complete dependence please listen to me true life under the grace of God is one of complete dependence upon God if we're if we're talking about true life under the grace of God if we're talking about living life and living Godly it comes from complete dependency from God maybe it was the way it's been said over the years trust God have faith but there's something about the Declaration of dependence upon God as you renounce dependence upon yourself it can be done tap and I are doing that right now we are depending on God you're dependent on God I was you know I had three tumors in my body that was you know fighting and contending for my nutrition every time I put nutrients in there it'd go I'm like where's the nutrient and then they continue to lose weight some of y'all saw me getting skinnier and skinny and just all up and stuff like that and they know you calling the office like uh what's wrong with him like I'm going to confess whatever it is [Applause] like I'm gonna disagree with God and say oh it's huge when y'all pregnant that's the second time by the power of God cancer had to leave me some people don't make it through one time but I already recognize is by his power and it is by me totally depending on him not by my striving not by oh I knew a lot about nutrition and oh I knew a lot about you know herbs and medical things cause what the fact that what you gonna do when the doctor say ain't nothing working we didn't tried this we don't gave you a dose of that we done did that and we didn't burn that off we're gonna move that out what's he gonna do I tell you what I'm gonna do and I ain't gonna wait till the last minute to do it I'm going to depend on God lord I depend on you and some of you some of you are in a situation right now today where you're striving and depending on your own self trying to achieve something and that's that's the thing God doesn't want you to be Achievers he wants you to be receivers you're working so hard to achieve something that God wants to do for you so you can receive something praise God but no okay can't nobody tell you something you know folks gonna do what folks want to do that's what I learned the last three years folks do what they want to do but here's what I'm gonna try to do I'm gonna try to change your mind to let you know it's not going to be by your mind and you you wonder why we go through things sometimes God loves you so much that he will allow stuff to happen to you just to get your attention just to let you know listen you can't do this by yourself I need you to depend on me could you depend on me come on depend on me please depend on me God wanted to happen and then you die and get to heaven Lord what happened he said you depended more on yourself than you did on me it's impossible to please him if you don't depend on him well that's the gospel it's the gospel truth under this gospel of grace amen so it's divine power God's divine power by his spirit by his spirit and is calling for an intimate for real relationship with Jesus Christ not some fake religious show-off type of relationship with Jesus Christ I tell you what I have put the clowns out the church and closed the circuit the surface is closed praise God no more no more circus I ain't no more circus I won't allow no servant boy I jump on you and lay my hands on you and pour a Bala Crisco all over your head we depend on God Amen we depend on God his divine power so the fact that that the that true life under grace is one of complete dependence upon God it's evidence that that life must be lived by the power of God if you say I depend on God that life has got to be lived by the power of God you know my my my hope today is that everybody that came in this morning can walk out saying okay God I depend on you Lord show me how to depend on you Lord teach me how to depend on you what it would it would be an absolute amazing thing to have come here today just to convince you that every day Lord I need you Lord I trust you today Lord help me with this even though you've done it before I find myself I've done a hundred times oh but God I need you today just in case I bump into something I'm not aware of I need you today just in case somebody is possessed with the devil and they're trying to they're trying to do something that don't need to be done I need you today Holy Ghost you'll show me things to come hear it Lord I need you today I need you today I need to see if Roscoe is really saved Lord show me show me if Roscoe say you don't know you said that now I don't care if he saved or not he bowlegged and he nice and I love me some Roscoe now you need the Holy Ghost to show you some things amen you have a game changer you have a game changer living on the inside of you and he wants to tell you things he wants to show you things but we keep thinking that the holy spirit is some myth no he's not a myth he's a real person he's as real as the person seated next to you right now I need you Lord say that I need you Lord I depend on you Lord I renounce dependence upon myself and I declare dependence on you that's where it is ladies and gentlemen every day of your life that's where it is right there every day of your life you're making your mind up that I'm gonna live my life today in total dependence upon God so if that is going to happen then you're going to have to recognize this is going to be by the power of God it's not going to be by my my my power it's going to be by the power of God a life of dependence upon self and not a life of dependence upon god well it's not going to be like it needs to be I depend on God now in the teachings of Grace there are great emphasis that are placed upon the fact that it is God who works so I'm sitting here listening to this I'm like okay all right it's God who's doing the work and I was amazed just the number of times he said I'm going to do the work I'm going to do the work let me share the maybe four or five scriptures with you go to Philippians chapter 2 13 uh in the NLT and all these Philippians 2 13. God saying he'd do the work I mean after a while you got to say okay he said he's going to do it stop worrying you know for God is working in you God's working in you God's working in me he's working in you what is he doing what's the work he's doing he's giving you the desire so he's working on your desires if you're going to change you got to change your desires but the deal is is you've been trying to change your desires and that's pretty good for like a maybe a month or so I desire not to cuss people out and then somebody come and talk about your mama now you cussing them out again you it's God that's working in you say God's working in me he's doing what changing my desire so God's working to change your want to's the want-to's that get you in trouble God's working to change those one twos and he's going to give you some new want twos that's what God is doing well how is he doing it ask him God's working in me God's work when you when you can step back one day and look and see some metamorphosis morphis is taking place in your life and you're thinking whoa I'm not the same I remember just five months ago I would have slapped her face what happened God's working in me I remember just a year ago lust would have been so big on me I'd have just melted in the temptation of the sin and now I can't even taste it no more what's going on God's working in you God's working in you and what else is he doing not only is he giving you the desire but he's also giving you the power his power a power is the ability to get the job done so God's given you the ability to get the job done what what what what are you going to do what is he doing he's working in you so you will want to and have the ability to do what pleases him not do what pleases you but do what pleases him and now now you have no problem remembering to give God the glory because you you know you didn't do this glory to God he's working in me you're not as mean as you used to be he's working in you see we spend so much time playing church we don't know how to do life we know how to we know how to do church but we don't know how to do life and God's teaching you how to do life he wants you to know how to live you know sometimes you've gotten so deep you you don't recognize that there are human moments God wants you to live life he wants you to enjoy life he wants you to have a good time in life but but some church folks are just I can't even have had nothing to do with them they're just they're just too deep how are you hey how you doing man this is the day of the Lord I'm not gonna know I want to hear all that man go on I'm gonna ask you how you doing just answer the question I don't need all that but some of us think we have to perform and you're missing out on living some of you have life but you don't but you're not living you gotta learn how to live as you can tell with my flower shirt on I am delivered from people I'm I'm completely delivered I mean I love people but I am so deliberate my sister gave me this shirt a couple of Christmas ago and I said I will never wear that shirt in public I said I probably won't wear it privately I won't even go to bed with that shirt on it's just gonna hang in my closet and the Lord asked me a question he says why won't you wear that shirt I said people are the kinds of things about I'm Amanda of God or whatever with a loud shirt like that man I found out I was in bonus to people I got delivered from people I went and got some Loud pants to mess up man to to match the loud shirt and then put some tennis shoes on and and and and dress so against what a preacher ought to dress because he's been working in me praise God if you don't like me because of what I wear what you don't understand is what the thing God the thing that really matters to God the thing that really matters to him not how many times you go to church for a week how many times you you know how long you pray in tongues and how much money you here's what he what really matters to him here it is how we treat one another that's what really matters how you treat one another while you're going around talking in tongues and jerking it how you treat one another after you add up after you finish playing how you how you treat one another well I do pretty good well how you treat that waitress at the at the restaurant who for who forgot to put grenadine in your Coke how you treat them how you treat them Focus that's what's important to God how we treat one another and we're not going to get better at three one another until we learn how to mature spiritually and watch this and learn how to mature emotionally you mean you talk about emotions in churches yeah you got them God Gave You emotions but we've allowed those emotions to to to to to to to govern Our Lives you have emotions but those emotions are not supposed to have you and we get real emotional sometimes depending on what side of the bed you woke up and determine determine if you're going to be mean that day or not you better push your bed against the wall so it ain't but one way to get out amen but God's working God's working in you as you're seated here this morning minding your own business as you're logged on with us wherever you are in the world God is working in you he's taking he's taking that desire that old bad desire away and he's replacing it with a good desire and you're gonna want to do what pleases God You're Gonna Want to tell oh oh Roscoe with his curly hair calling you at two o'clock in the morning trying to see if he can come over and do something with you you're going to want to say listen Rob I'm in bed and I can get up at six to pray in the morning ain't got time for you and you're gonna say oh look at me I am growing no that's God working in you giving you a desire to do what pleases him [Applause] so you thought I was gonna come here and talk about the fifth dimension of the anointing you don't need to know no Fifth Dimension up north you need to learn how to live in this Dimension right here with the help of the Holy Ghost well I want to know the Deep realm of Prayer [Applause] stop it man I'm tired of the fables I'm tired of the playing church and and the stuff we've created we've created so much about church and having church when Jesus come back he's going to have to look around say what are they doing [Applause] dancing and shouting Jesus say do they need a healing look at this Hebrews chapter 13 20 21. now y'all don't mind me kind of like going around the campus a little bit this is what I do in the morning I don't I start off with the notes but I don't know what we're going to end up I'm gonna try to end up there but there are a lot of people here with a lot of situations going on in their life and and I'm gonna I trust God I depend on him I depend on him to show me what's going on and and and give me the articulation that he wants coming out of my mouth to say what what needs to be said you know a little bit of hit song Another One getting another one another get something else somebody's thinking well did you call him and tell him my business amen look at this verse 20 and 21 he said now may the God of Peace who brought up who who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ the Greek Shepherd of the sheep and he ratified an eternal Covenant with his blood he did this may he equip you look at there he's going to equip us may he equip you with all you need for doing his will there it is again he has accepted the responsibility for equipping us with everything we need to do his will may he produce in you look at this through the power of Jesus Christ may he produce every good thing that is pleasing to him someone said what's lacking we don't believe that he can we're not dependent on him to do it we're relying on our own selves to do it we're dependent on ourselves to do it and I'm telling you ladies and gentlemen he has accepted the responsibility for doing the good work on the inside of us First Corinthians chapter 3 7. in it amazing the thing the scriptures we see here that God says I'll do it I'll do it I'll do it I'll do it First Corinthians chapter 3 7 he says it's not important who does the planting or who does the watering he said what's important is that God makes the seed grow who makes the seed grow God makes the seed grow Psalm plant some water but God gives the increase the problem is is when we try to give the increase and God is like saying now you plant you water I will work out the increase so until you see the increase uh he says just be patient you plant it you water they're gonna be just fine you're worried about your kids he says I got them take your kids and just turn them over to me I got them yeah but you don't understand I just feel so so shameful for her I just feel like I'm a bad parent and and I just said there you go again you don't need your children's approval of you you know that don't you and you walking around shame and you're walking around like this feels so bad I just feel so awful I feel like they're the way they are no you did a good job raising them then they got grown and and and and some of those decisions they're living with right now that that's their decision [Applause] but they're going to be all right and most of the time they're gonna be fine if you just get out the way and stop rescuing them so that God can finish the work I depend on God so if something crazy happens I'm like you still got them God because it might take that detour sometimes you know people don't want to let God teach them and they don't want to learn from from Wise people who've already been through it so life will teach you and I just ask God just watch over watch over my children watch over the children of of the of my family watch all the children of our church just watch over when you got them God knows exactly what they got to go through to get their attention you got them amen but some of y'all don't believe well I just I I just I I just can't do that well fine keep making a way for them to stay the same but after life finish whooping that butt [Applause] but they'll fall down on their business Bend at knees and lift their hands up and say boy Mom and Daddy was right Lord help me and God said I got them where I want them right now you remember the rich the uh not the rich angula but the Prodigal Son he went out and did give me my money took his money went out and had the Bible says righteous living and all that kind of stuff but then he found himself just out there with the pigs and just in the mud and he's just you're like man what is this got down there and he he went from the from the the all of that back home wasn't no problem to Humble himself he had no problem at all why because God was changing them sometimes the hard stuff that is allowed in our life I'm doing a series now in Atlanta called the chastening of the Lord sometimes what God is doing is directing you and disciplining you and he does that out of love because you're his sons you're his daughters and he has the end and sight and he knows it's going to be good for you and so he says let me go ahead and allow certain things to happen in their life I tried to give my word I tried to direct them with my word I tried to chasing them with my word but they're not listening but I love them too much to stop right there so I'm gonna allow some things and that may be happening in your life maybe you're trying to figure out why am I going through what I am going through can I camp there just for a moment why am I going through what I'm going through I'm so frustrated I wake up every day just so frustrated well frustration is an emotional response to a roadblock that's in your life stopping you from getting what you want and maybe you need to stop asking the question Lord why is this happening to me and start saying Lord what is it that I need to get from this so something that you're going through just right now today Lord what do I need to get from this what I need to take from this and I learned a lot through my job experience I wouldn't dare Gonna Leave the wisdom with the experience I learned a lot facing death twice I learned a lot I mean that one day I I was getting ready to go I mean it was like I stepped beside the curtains and then it was nothing there and God spoke to me he said it took me 40 years to get you where I want you and I'm like what I said I'm there he said yeah I said well I I don't I don't want to go go over there wherever that is yeah what do you take out of it what do you take out of a divorce what do you take out of losing your job what do you take out of an argument what do you take out of a fight what do you get out of this losing a contract what do you get out of out of this what are you taking out of all of those things will help you to grow to the next level if you stop saying God why do I have to go through this like you're the only one alive got to go through something and start asking Lord let me get what I need to get out of there all God is doing by putting those roadblocks there he's trying to give you a realignment you're going this way he says no I want you to go that way I need you to come here trying to give you a realignment so you can go where you need to go that's what happens when you depend on God and you're trusting God to show you what you need to do and I'm telling you God wants us to live this life there is a move of God that's getting ready to take place the power of God is going to hit this planet like it ain't never been hit before it looks it looks like the church is on the losing side but as folks get sick and tired of being sick and tired and as preachers get delivered from themselves and get delivered from people we're going to finally be ready to preach the gospel to folks and depend on God and as we depend on God it's going to spread man it's gonna be it's gonna be a God's gonna show up God's gonna show up in your house like a tsunami he's going to show up in your house like a barrier breaker and he's going to break all kinds of barriers in your life and in your house because we decide to depend on him so go through it you're gonna be all right go through it but I don't believe God let you go through well you better talk to the Apostle Paul said I sought God three times for this Thorn In My Flesh which was Satan sent to buff at me he said God why why why would you move this and he said my grace is sufficient you have a lot this hurt my grace is sufficient I had this the shingles in between all of that attacks and the shingles hit my body and it affected my my nerves and that nerve pain uh I mean I'm just not getting over it and I'm like Lord why what I never prayed so long for something to be gone and you ain't doing nothing about it and I heard these words I didn't want to hear my grace is sufficient when I heard the first time I said okay the grace of God is sufficient all of a sudden I understand it wasn't more important for me to get the pain gone it was more important to me to realize that God's grace is sufficiently supplying what I need on an everyday basis to get me through everything so I'm not just talking to you about what I read out a book I'm talking to you about the book of Creflo verse one tell them what I know well well I don't know I don't know if I can listen to a pastor who wears green pants [Applause] isn't that sad religion's got you so much the very essence of who God is and what he wants to do in your life it's passing you by because you're still doing Church and don't know how to do life amen all right let's look at a couple more scriptures uh uh First Corinthians chapter 12 and 6. and then we'll move on into this a little deeper he says God works there it is those are the two words that got me oh my God working in this new testament under this Covenant of Grace he is working God works in different ways because not everybody's the same right so he's working in different ways he's working one way in my life he's working another way in your life but he's working God works in different ways but it is the same God who does the work in all of us now what I am saying and testifying to you you may never experience the things that I've gone through but he's working in a different way with you he's doing some stuff with you man he is delivering you and setting you free I tell you boy one of these days we're gonna see each other in the street like I have so many people just see him in the street which is shout and praise God because we are not the same we are not the same God is doing a work on the inside of it and you don't realize right now there's a little operation going on a little outpatient surgery going on right here this morning with you right now so you thought you was going to come here they're going to shout out and do cartwheels no more saying something deep with you because nah man got time for that go go [Applause] here to learn how to live life and to live it in abundance to the pool until it overflows that's what we're doing now to show that the power of Life under grace to show that it is of god the scripture gives special emphasis upon the weaknesses of man so to see that we really need the power of God in our lives let me show this the emphasis that he puts on the weaknesses of man second Corinthians 4 and 7. in the NLT if you will second Corinthians 4 and 7 Second Corinthians 1 9 and second Corinthians 3 5. why are you showing why are you sharing all these scriptures I don't know I I thought that's what we're doing we're here to get in the word and learn something you know I figured out something this past year some people come to church to hear what they already know I'm thinking what good is that we come to hear what we already know and God forbid if the if the man of God releases some stuff that you don't know well somebody could be wrong with that um some got to be wrong with that that ain't what my Bible say well you just feel dripping off water from being baptized what you you're not even you're not even mature enough to be a part of the conversation talking about that's what your Bible say only part you read was Jesus web really man I'm coming after religion with everything I got amen because it's putting a lot of people in bondage he says we now have this light shining in our hearts but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars man is like a fragile clay jar containing this great treasure this makes it clear that our great power is from God and not from fragile clay jars it's not from us look at this second Corinthians 1 9. second Corinthians 1 9. in fact we expect to die but as a result we stop relying on ourselves and learn to rely only on God who raised the Dead stop relying on yourself and only on God and then second Corinthians 3 5. he says it's not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own our qualification comes from God that's powerful I am not qualified I never forget when I saw that and I declared I am not qualified to do anything on my own I'm not and you know what neither are you I am not qualified to do anything on my own my qualification comes from God our qualification comes from God I know you're hearing this it's like trying to get you away from depending on you and trying to convince you this morning it's time to depend on him to depend on God and so Paul gives counsel here let me let me take it from another perspective of Romans chapter 6 and verse 13 in the uh in the King James will do uh Paul gives counsel in Romans 6 13 and he shows that the power is of God and not of man and he uses this to refer to us as instruments all right now think with me for a moment an instrument a musical instrument that's played uh a scaffold an instrument that a doctor uses um hedged Clippers instruments now what is it we know about an instrument an instrument an instrument of any type needs someone to wheel it and without someone to will that instrument then the instrument can't will itself the trumpet can't blow by itself the harp can't play by itself the scaffold doesn't just jump off the table and starts cutting by itself instruments are depended on the person that plays the harp the guy that holds the scaffold instrument is dependent now watch this verse 13. neither yield yourselves members as instruments of unrighteousness Unto sin but yield yourselves instruments unto God as those that are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God so the question this morning is who is blowing your trumpet you you you're an instrument I'm an instrument somebody's got to to will the instrument is the devil the one blowing your trumpet or is God and it's so humbling to hear god I'm an instrument I need you goodness I want you to blow this trumpet I want you to hold this scaffold I want to be your instrument [Applause] so you whether you think so whether you believe it or not your instruments and you have decided or yielded yourself to somebody to will you I am God's instrument man and this is this is so clear this Council he gives in Romans 6 13 shows that the power of the God and not a man for the instrument is powerless apart from the master's control you and I are powerless apart from God's control oh my goodness well I don't want to be controlled honey control means Jesus I could control me control me oh my goodness control me so this makes it important to distinguish between watch this this is so good trying to serve God versus being used of God look at the distinction here trying to serve God versus being used of God are you still trying to serve God because when you're trying to serve God it's going to be dependent upon yourself in order to try to achieve that but if you're if you're saying God use me I'm an instrument use me God oh my goodness it should also be recognized that God does not desire to help believers do things for him he desires to do the work himself through them did you hear that let me say it again sit in God does not desire to help believers do things for him oh God help me do this for me oh God help me I'm trying to do that for you Lord help me I'm trying to do that no no no no God does not desire to help believers do things for him his desire is to do the work himself through you God does the work God wants to do the work through you God don't want to help you do the work he wants to do the work through you he wants you to be the instrument and give him the opportunity to come and work through you what in the world can be accomplished in your life if you will allow God to come and work through you [Applause] it's changing you what do you think right you see what religion does religion religion has us saying all these things in rehearsing all these things and and we get our minds set in the wrong direction oh God help me to do this for you and most of the time this Lord help me to do this for myself god I'm an instrument get in me Do It Through Me Lord remember the days of Soul winning I don't know you know I don't know I just remember the days when we used to knock on the doors and we go so wind or something I said well you can't do that today yeah uh I know every time we went I saw a winning we said Lord Minister through us show us what to say and I knocked on this one door and nobody in the house spoke English and there was this picture of Jesus on the wall and I didn't walk away because they didn't understand English I said Lord help me work through me you know that whole house gotta say they got saved they start weeping they fell on their knees I don't know if I was talking and God was translated I have no idea but I knew that day all I could be was an instrument are some of you ready to become his instrument today oh my goodness God uses do through us Grace is that which God does Grace is what God does Grace is what God does and he alone does it and this true life under Grace has all its sources in him it's what God does Grace says I feel an anointing settling in this place Grace is what God does Grace's way if it's a gift you can't do it you can't do it and say it's Grace it's what God does it's what God does Grace is what God does say that say that Grace is what God does say it again say it again Grace is what God does you can't do it and say it's Grace you can't brag about it and say it's Grace unless any man should boast because it's what God does Grace is not what I do Grace is not what you do Grace is what God does [Applause] so it follows then this is a tough statement it follows then that whatever or whenever there is a lack of success you've ever you know you're a Christian and you're trying to figure out well you know what What's Happening Here Maybe it's due to dependence upon self instead of dependence upon God I know there are lots of things I looked at and I thought my life okay that didn't turn out like I thought it would turn out maybe I'm depending more on me and not depending on God because you know brother novel The Bible says that God helps those who helps themselves you know I got to looking for that one day and couldn't find it realize it was nowhere in the Bible then I found out that Benjamin Franklin said it Benjamin Franklin said God help those who helped themselves there is no scripture in the Bible that says God helps those who helps themselves you know what the Bible says God helps those who need help [Applause] but to justify self-detendence you see we take them little things along you know we even made a song I've been in church years ago that says you know all you have to do is take one step and he will do remember that the rest the rest the rest boom boom boom boom just one step just one step he will do the rest will do the rest we'll do the rest so what you're saying is that in order for God to do the rest he needs us to take a step nah he is accepted responsibility for the first step and the last step and he's willing to take all the steps in between he does not need you to bring a step to the table to do what he has gifted in your life to do well God oh this is a heavy one but I gotta say it I mean I don't have to say it I can be a little punk and a little Wimp And wimp out and just don't say to things because I'm afraid you ain't gonna want to have nothing to do with me no more we have for so long said that your behavior will determine God's power or blessing in your life that we actually believe that God's not blessing you because of your behavior or that God is able to bless you because of your behavior which ultimately says that your behavior now determines God's power and blessing in your life not right now that's that's not giving anybody a license to misbehave but you got to receive the gift first he's working on your behavior that's why he's working on your desire he's working on your behavior but you're so ready to to to stab a preacher and tell you the truth that God is not his power is not subject to your behavior because let that let me give you an example Paul was misbehaving reaping havoc in all the church and on the road of Damascus he didn't he wasn't planning on meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus he was on his way to misbehave some more and Jesus interrupted him and say he said saw Saul why are you doing this to me man what's up Saul said who is you I am ain't been none of you who are you I'm Jesus who you persecuted man I ended up seeing you for in my life and he came out of that situation and Paul was Paul fell to the ground he was blind watch this he was blind and he was placed in his house and then God spoke to one of his one of his chosen one of his one of his disciples and said to him go over here where Saul is and he stopped he said hold on hold on a minute come out the one that was reaping habit threatening it killed me killed some of my friends did all of this stuff been giving us hell for the last three four years you want me to go to that's all [Applause] and lay hands on him because he's blind so he can see Lord You're gonna have to call somebody else I can't do that now that ain't happening today that's what most of us would say I'm not doing that oh my gosh oh my goodness but then here's God moving on him and he goes over there he lays hands on him and he opens his eyes and he's able to see but he sees a whole lot differently than what he saw before God encountered him so Paul's bad behavior didn't stop God from calling him into the preaching of this gospel of grace he changed Paul air Behavior and that's what he'll do for you too but you've got to stop limiting God based on you God already know you ain't no good [Applause] well I tell you here's another one here I'll tell you brother dollar the Lord doesn't dwell in dirty vessels ain't no other ain't no other kind everybody got that dirty vessel your daughter vessel everybody in this house got an issue everybody got an issue it here it might not be the same issue your mission might not be cussing illicit sex you know the drugs your issue just might be you self-righteous you you you nice nasty y'all know what I'm saying you nice nasty but everybody in the house got an issue that's why everybody in this house needs a savior and his name is Jesus and he will help you with your issues we need God we need God but you keep limiting him like somehow he can't help you until you do these three things you're crazy your sin your crazy crazy your cray-cray will never be able do this unrestricted operation of his infinite love especially for those who depend on him do you depend on him I'm asking you church do you depend on him oh come on lift your hands up just worshiping for a moment what a mighty God we serve what a mighty God we serve what a mighty God we serve thank you Jesus thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord from the rising of the Sun to the going down of the same your name is to be praised Lord we praise you Lord we praise the Lord with our reservation We Praise You Jesus it's impossible to live true Godly life under grace apart from Jesus this whole popular idea that Christ goes alongside of the believer to lead that doesn't adequately describe his presence it doesn't adequately describe his works he is in not merely with all who believe in him God's in you you know you born again he's in you [Applause] you don't have to yell you don't have to scream all you got to do is whisper or think glory to God so he ain't gotta ask God to go with you he in you Hallelujah he in you when you go do crazy he in you you go to Motel 6 he in you you go to the bar he in you how you think you got out of all of those situations it is God dwelling on the inside of you he's in you praise God and he will not leave you he will not forsake you don't to believe that tomfoolery about you gonna run the Holy Ghost away that you so messed up you're gonna run him away that's why he knew you were messed up he knew how bad it was before he took a boat on the inside of you but he's living in you he is working in you he is doing a mighty Masterpiece in you he is pulling all of this stuff together and after over with you will fulfill the will of God for your life amen amen amen and amen somebody thank you my God y'all got me shouting up here boy my God God is good not because I'm good God is good not because you're good God is good because God is good and he can be good to anybody he wants to be good to let me show you something let me show you what he does with this goodness he takes this goodness and he shows it to people that some Christians would never show it to [Applause] he takes this goodness and he shows it and he said well you can't show that we can't be good to them they're a prostitute we can't be good to them they they act up too much we can't be good to them they going on their third divorce and what he does is he'll show his goodness because the Bible says that with that goodness he's going to use it to change their minds and I believe that God is all over this city today showing his goodness and changing people's minds praise God you got to believe that he's showing goodness to your children he's showing goodness to your enemies he's showing goodness to your co-workers he's showing goodness Hallelujah he's gonna change he's gonna change some Minds [Applause] who do we think we are going to walk around snooty like you all that like them self-righteous Pharisees I pray every day I give my tithes don't even let me get on that [Applause] I feed the poor I'm not like these cray-crays [Applause] they're self-righteous they're self-righteous and self-righteousness is unrighteousness and you know God will even be good to that self-righteous hypocrite to try to change his mind you know how to work let me close with this I want to keep y'all all day but I got ta buy here I got five hours right here I got five I got enough word in here to preach the wig off your head I guarantee you I got enough I will untwist your braid I got enough I praise God oh praise God oh my God the true life then which is taught by Grace is not as is so commonly thought A Life That's led by the individual with you know some assistance from God at certain times that's not what he's talking about in fact certain times when I need him but this is rather a life of God himself by Jesus Christ his son through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit I I wish I had time to to show you that in Romans chapter 7 there was this big conflict where Paul was like the thing I don't want to do that's what I end up doing you remember growing up you realize your customers so much you said I ain't cussing no more and you were good for about a week and then something happened to use that drive through I had a lady did that I baptized to know one time and uh somebody I heard that story I was baptizing this lady one time and uh the the heat we have it on all night so we can heat up and and we got in it and we had all these people in line to baptize but the water didn't warm up it was cold and I figured if we would I buy upon or something they'd be cold and you know too so it would be all right just act like you outside in a pond but it was like 20 degrees that day outside [Applause] so the lady she came down in the pool step now she said oh jeez [Music] you know she's trying to be deep Jesus she get on it I said I baptize you now you're gonna have to read my lip because I ain't no custom preaching now she said I baptized you in the name of the father I said I baptized you in the name of the son in the name of the Holy Ghost she said oh Jesus which is not other than Jesus and I put it down she came out that water she said OSH my beacon my Deacon looked at me he said I don't know Pastor uh he said you think we need to Dunkle one more time he said I don't know if that first time worked [Applause] but the Holy Spirit is how that power is released for change in your life Paul says how do I get out of this dilemma and Romans 8 says you know it's going to be by the the spirit of God the spirit of God the spirit of God is what releases life can I share one more scripture with you with the spirit of God the spirit of God is what releases life look at Galatians 5 16 in the uh in the uh King James Galatians 5 16. it's the spirit of God that releases this life it's the it's it's it's it's it's God in you that spirit of God he said then I say then walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill what the lust of the flesh and then Galatians 5 22 talks about uh look at that in the NLT Galatians 5 16 right before we leave that right quick he said but the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives the the fruit that comes in our lives the character that comes in our life it's produced by the Holy Spirit what does the Bible says Jesus said I'm the vine he said your branches you the branch can't ever bear fruit being detached from the Vine the branch totally and completely depends on the vine in order to bear fruit why is it then that Christian people try to bear fruit in their own dependence of themselves and not recognize that you can't bear fruit without God he produces the fruit so what does that say people who are dependent on God will produce fruit so easily all kinds of stuff begins to happen in your life because you're dependent on God wow you're dependent on God I feel amazing this morning I put I've gone from 159 pounds to 181 pounds um I'm you can you can tell my energy back because I'm hollering and screaming at you this morning [Applause] I depend on him I depend on him you understand what I'm saying now what are you prepared to do what what are you gonna what are you gonna do with your time spent in the word which is your most valuable relationship the most vital relationship in the life of a Christian is the relationship that he has with the word of God what are you going to do you just kind of like okay I'm gonna just Ease on out of here and and uh it is what it is you know somebody called hey what you doing I just I just went to see Creflo [Applause] God I hope that wasn't a sum total what are you gonna do or when they call like man what you up to man I'm I'm making the decision to depend on God for the rest of my life and this little girl you know you met last night so what does that mean for us that means you out bye [Applause] I got to depend on God for my validation I gotta I gotta depend on God to make me feel good about myself I got I got to depend on God you know one thing about a person who is uh uh approval addiction Who's involved in approval addiction one thing about them they have a hard time saying no people who are addicts to approve but they have a hard time saying no and no is a complete sentence you need to learn how to get it or you'll always be trying to do something to please somebody and that could be a mental hurt to your life y'all gonna be all right you know that you're gonna be all right father I pray for every person to sound in my voice those who are online with us and those who are here that your goodness will invade their lives good is going to happen to them today that they may change their mind about you that you're not the Killer you're not the Destroyer huh wow supernaturally God I I depend on you to make the difference this morning that you can invade their lives invade the situations invade their circumstances show them how to be what you want to do that your will be done and help us to yield We Praise You In This today we trust you I do I trust this is not a waste of time I trust that something amazing has already been put in the books to happen here today if it's just one person that you sent here and something's going on with them right now Lord I trust you we praise you for it now this name we pray did y'all get anything out of that this morning amen amen let's go ahead and receive this morning's offering that'll all be put towards the budget of this meeting that we're having right now and uh I hope you are as excited about getting to give as I have been I am excited about that and I'm excited that we're no longer giving because we're afraid that we're going to be cursed we're no longer giving because somebody's putting pressure on us to give and all of this but we're giving out of our heart we're giving because we love him we're giving because it is a worship it is our worship to God that we give if you need an offering envelope if you raise your hands uh the ushers will put one in your hands now tonight's session will not be streamed for those of you who are streaming we won't be streaming tonight tonight will be a closed session and uh so excited about tonight uh so excited about seeing uh some of you uh who I have missed dearly yes dearly dearly dearly dearly and uh um it's just it's it's it it could be very emotional for me right now you know because it's just you know for 15 years of my life it's it's it's been here in this city and to get to come back so it's going to be some amazing things that happens as a result of you know what God is doing in New York what God is doing with World Changers Church New York what God is doing with a lot of things that are going on uh around the country but we are going to be right slap dab in the middle of that move of God which is it's getting started it's getting started it's getting started in other places of the world and uh yeah man this is going to be really really good and we are not going to be on the outside looking on the inside no man we're going to be a part of this praise the Lord amen as you give today the reason why it's called a worship to God the Bible says give unto the Lord Glory do unto his name bring an offering and worship him in the beauty of his Holiness so we get to bring an offering and in doing so we worship him but what's the worship part it's one of those pieces where we know that worship is actually what we do every day and we say God do with me and through me what you want to do that's that's real worship thank God for the slow songs but real worship is doing with me and through me you know our praise and worship singer can get up and say say what I'm doing right now their real worship do with me and through me what you want to do with me but it also includes in the area of giving Lord how do you want to use me to give do with me and through me I worship you this is a gift that I'm using to worship you this is what I believe that you've instructed me to give and and I'm giving cheerfully and I'm giving from a willing heart I made up in my mind what I want to do today and you're helping me to do that that's why it's a worship that's why it's not just booket plunken it's like considering Lord how do you want to use me financially today how do you want to use me to be a blessing to this meeting and to be a part of assisting so that people who come here today can be changed and experience a change through the word of God and the praise of God and and our gathering together to make a sound that really disturbs all of hell that's why it's a worship and so you get to give you get to worship him in the beauty of his holiness the Bible says don't give out a necessity thinking it's necessary to get blessed or if not you'll get cursed no but a cheerful heart God wants nothing from us that we don't desire to do from our heart nothing so if you're doing something because somebody said it's a commandment you know well now you're doing it because of the Commandment you're not doing it because it's coming out of your heart it's the same with us as humans you don't want somebody to give you something out of obligation well I wasn't going to get you nothing but since it's Christmas I got you this shirt you don't know how much money I had to waste on this thing but him like what dude I don't want that little shirt please keep that shirt I had a guy years ago I was in oh somewhere in Johannesburg South Africa I mean somewhere it was at night time I had no idea was an elephant or something coming I mean I was way out there and I was preaching on the anointing and the pastor just did not like that sermon at all so he came in the office and he was just hollering and screaming like I was his little child I'm like man I'm from College Park what you doing [Applause] I had my son Jeremy with my life what was you know we we might have to spank him what's going on and then finally I had to kind of restrain him I said hey get your spirit under control he said they don't be talking to me like that and I said now if you didn't agree with the message you better go outside because it was lying wrapping around people trying to get that tape I said you better go out there and stop them from dealing that tape because a lot of folks got that and I said well you know I'm out he said hold on a minute I have your honorarium I'm like what I don't want no honorary you just said it Dishonored you you're giving it to me out of obligation and not because you want to keep it that blew his mind you want me to keep it yeah keep it do what you want to do with it I didn't come here for no money in the first place I can't cause God sent me here that blew that guy's mind God doesn't want it if it doesn't come out of your heart go buy you a McDonald's or a Big Mac or a Happy Meal and see if you're going to be happy next week but he don't want it it's got to come out of obligation if it's got to come from pressure he doesn't want it that's anything your service your worship your attendance well I didn't want to come this morning but I press my way in well you could have just pressed yourself right into that bed and turned the other way if you wanted to you're not doing God anyway because y'all ready go ahead and receive the offering and thank you all for sewing into this meeting we we can leave here with the bills paid hey man praise the if y'all can kind of help them out there um but yeah the traffic and they look like they building a lot of but they all this building going on around here what they're building everything every time you go around that I'm like if I was driving if I was driving this week I thought man I would get lost because you can't go down that road and that's the only Road I know so thank God for for Richard picking us up because I wouldn't have known how to even get what how did you get here what is all this why I'm gonna get down that little narrow road right get out and try to fold the windows in on the side and all that but man I tell you what boy is still New York City in there still people to get born again and get them to Jesus Christ and do what needs to be done amen praise the Lord well
