welcome to our celebrity beyond infinite balcony cabin review in this comprehensive cabin review you can find out all the things we loved and all the things we definitely didn't right then so we've been staying in cabin 7161 on the celebrity beyond if paulie morgan lets us in now we're going to take you on a tour let me stop you there what's the first thing that you notice the door opens out which is very confusing because for the first four days i kept thinking i'd lock myself in the room but anyway we're going to show you around this type of cabin it's an infinite balcony cabin and we're going to tell you all about the things that we loved and things that we don't and the reasons we're not going to be booking one again and um [Music] a lot of people do cabin tours the moment they get on their cruise and you know we're not saying it's really not saying it's wrong but we always like to leave our cabin tour to the end of the cruise and then we've experienced what it's like to stay in it and things that you might when you get into the cabin initially you think oh that's a plumbing great idea there's by the end of the cruise you might be sick to death through it and that's definitely been the case for the certain with certain things in this cabin so let's start at the entrance as paul described the door yeah now on the door you put you've got a little magnetic thing that is we're not sure why one side's blue on one side white but if you're having a bit of a line which we often do then that's put on there so um let's go into the bathroom then poorly now the bathroom we love don't we i love that no lovely soft um dressing gowns and it's big it's a really good size and as you can see with the shower here it's got a good well it's been perfect doesn't it it's a very very good size yeah and as you can see it's called a glass door yes the only thing this is missing is a little washing line there's not one in here at all and i must say that the amenities the shower gel and shampoo are okay but they're not our favorite are they so i would recommend if you like your own stuff which i always bring my own conditioner anyway but you've said it sort of really dried your area put two little hanging things there and otherwise it's got a good space they took the color at me air as well which is very disciplined so toilet as you would expect um and some art is artoria in this ship isn't that poorly um nepal's big bug bear is he doesn't like the sink i wanted to have a new section in our videos called paul as a moan but i moaned that much so people wouldn't even know that was a section so this is my little moan about this thing you've got a massive sink but the only part you can use is here and as soon as you wash your hands you've got even if you're very very careful that water goes everywhere i don't understand why the tap isn't maybe there or there or why the sink is this big because it's not like a like a vanity thing where is it his and hers get your points i just just find it really strange it's a waste all this is just wasted but storage in here is very good the storage is very good and in the drawer there um for driver's hands now you find your hair dryer um which i'll go on to that it's it's it's not the best hair dryer but it does the job after a long time my hair is so thick um but anyway so bathroom got a big thumbs up from me and not so much from paulie morgan it's a it's a sort of eight out of ten for no it's eight and a half nine out of ten just that that's the downside yeah i don't understand okay the design of that at all but other than that yeah here we've got your temperature control where you can also control things in your room um so if you go to settings for you could just show that but we're not going to do it until we get to the other end a little i can't because i've got a glass so here um with the window temperature etcetera you can see so but we're going to show you actually from the areas that we're going to show you now which this side of the bed which is poorly side of the bed hasn't got usb points which we're surprised at this is a brand new ship but i've got two over my side more storage here and the wardrobe another bit of your bugbear isn't it full it hasn't it's not huge it's um it's adequate and i must admit it's good that this door flows all the way yeah so it's got a lot of hanging space but not a lot of them sort of foot space uh down there you've got three drawers and you've got a safe which isn't the biggest but it's there yeah also yeah i mean it's a safe fat and you've got a mirror on the door you can't actually fit an ipad in the safe shell no it's smaller there is more additional um storage here so actually when you add up all the storage in the room um there's a little cupboard up there and there's one to the side and they're poorly that's that's it and this is just facing extension of that one well we've been keeping some shoes because there's not a lot like i said a floor space in there the other thing you've got in here is your laundry and the laundry cost but we will be doing a full post about that um for our website so let's talk about the bed polly morgan the bird is absolutely super as is the pillows yes um no complaints about the bed but as you see on my side um you've got two usb points um so that's been perfect no tv do you want to say anywhere the tv we've hardly had it on have we used the tv yeah so i'll be honest i can't tell you much that goes on then they've got um what seems to be now they've got the sport 24 channel which shows whatever it's a channel that seems to be on all cruise lines now but i've been led to believe by cruise lines that they're not in charge of the content obviously because it's wimbledon fortnight it's there's when we're done all over it it's the men's final today so that'll be on there's some other channels but i can't tell you what they are because like i said we've been so busy yeah it's been it's been a great cruise and i've been fabulous here you've got a little desk there's poor demonstrations this desk we should have maybe move the stuff off because i thought it was good that you move the stuff off because it gives you an appreciation of how much extra space it gives you yeah because that boy just goes so it can go right so if you don't want and you just want to change around which gives you all this added space and we've kept today because that's my little work area where we do a bit of blogging and stuff um and there's paul removed from the desk you get obviously a um celebrity today you do have an app which has worked well isn't it for the app's been really good but you do get a daily paper program which i love so yes so there we are now go on to um the area here you've got a fridge which you've got a mini bar which is a charge um but it's a decent size we've just been keeping our bottles of water that we're we're on the classic um package aren't we yeah so we just get some bottles of water with our package we haven't bought anything additional we just got our milk in there we get from the buffet to go with our coffee which um i'll say no kettles aren't standard in the room we have to go and ask for this so if you are a brits who likes your coffee or tea in the morning like we do and you don't want to just do a room service then um you know just ask a reception and it will appear now this is what paul's on about the next thing about when we first got to the cabin is oh my god hey brilliant sally dear look at that little box with them and all we're going to be talking about we'll all keep it all nice and tidy but the truth of the matter is once you've got one plug in there you can't put another plug in there yeah because that will not fit because that plugs in the way yeah you can't even if you put your european adapter into that one that won't set so basically you've got one two three four or five charging points but you can only use three of them at a time at a time because they get in the way of each other but interestingly you've got obviously european this one as you can see we've got two that are actually english plugs which is brilliant um but as you say so you don't have to bring an adapter for that but they also take you could use that one so you could use four or you've got your american one that you can splash in there so you can you can squeeze in but then that goes over that one and you've got two usbs so there's plenty to be fair in the poor it's just um so european us and europe so and you don't see that do you we don't see english plugs on a ship unless it's obviously one of those ships so to sum up part two of paul azamone if they just spread that out more yeah made a bigger box and they wanted three inches more yeah which i'm i'm sure a lot of people here before it would have been brilliant yes that's fab so as i said we mentioned the kettle um and there's more drawers here for storage so um yeah so that's so storage actually isn't bad at all is it so um yeah i think it's just the hanging things from my point of view because we've made a conscious effort because we just take we always over pack and we've made a conscious effort this time to not over pack yeah so we have got less clothes than we've ever bought on a cruise but it seems packed doesn't it but the wardrobe seems to be yeah so that's what yeah that's just what i'm saying so lovely art on the wall and this sort of seti chemistry lounge which is being okay yeah it's been nice there so as this cabin is um it's tight around the end of the bed but it's not it's been a really comfortable cabin we've slept very well our cabin steward ken has been brilliant and he's been lovely though this is on to the bit that we we don't like um this is the infinite balcony and as you can see you've got two um doors open paul will demonstrate how they do that technical chair are they like the french french doors now again when we got here oh my god this is the best thing because we're going to open it up and make the room bigger so you just push it in and then you've got your little what they call infinite balcony and we booked this because we thought oh yeah that's a really good idea and that'd be lovely to have extra space and yes you do you have extra space as you can see um and you've got two chairs and a little table now you've got a blind so actually when you sleep at night it's really good for you it's like being in an inside cabin in it so you sleep really well because you don't see any daylight and you can say that about some curtains but there's always a few gaps with curtains isn't there um so anyway so paul's going to know we're going to open up the blind so you can see now as you can hear when i get up early in the pool in the morning just for me to open the blind is noisy um but we'll show you now but to get to the window now you've got to rearrange the chairs haven't you yeah so um so if we um set the scene young mr morgan is fast asleep carl thinks to herself what i'd like to do is make myself a cup of coffee and just sit out like i normally do on the balcony yes i'll have a cup of coffee yeah and not disturb him yeah so part one of that is clunky oak clunky doors yep part two of it is the blind and then you've got to move all your furniture because you can't get in there and then you've got this amazingly quiet window which does have a safety if you put your hand there you can't see my hand you have to demonstrate but for the hand we've stopped it because there's a sensor so it can't it won't slide down if you see the sensor there so that's a really good idea um and we found on the first two days it was locked quite a lot because the windows will be locked for cleaning and for climate and for whatever else but as you think you think oh brilliant and then i go to look out and i can't because i'm short i can't see but from i can see like to there and i can see it there but to actually see oh i can't lean i've got to really lean my to take this picture my arms are stretched out so um that already i thought oh i don't like that i like to have a lean and have a good look right to the front of the back of the ship so that was a bit of the first negative and then when we sat down on these chairs you're right just with the the dark window which isn't the end of the world but what's been the most difficult thing well not difficult that sounds dramatic doesn't it it's the air you don't feel like you sat outside and your eye line yeah depending on what sort of height i mean obviously me and carol were seven or eight inches different in height but your eye line is dominated by this great yeah but you could say that same a bit of glass balcony but i think the the main point is because it's so enclosed you don't feel like you're outside um but it is nice to have their window open so i miss i've really missed sitting out with the wind blowing and i go back to the hair dryer not being so powerful because my hair takes a lot of drying doesn't it and normally i would sit on the balcony for 20 minutes and my hair would be dry but that's not the case unfortunately and with drying washing because there's no washing line we've had things led all over these tables and stuff so not the end of the world people say oh god you're moaning about trivial things but after nine days in here this made us realize actually comfortable cabin but not for us and the other thing as soon as you open that window the air conditioning goes off yeah so you're really hot so unless you close these doors here which then you're just sat in a box well that's right yeah if you click you know if carol thought to herself oh what audio so you do but you're just sats and so same here um i don't know in my chair to do it and then you're sat just in this sort of box space which people say well that's the same as a balcony but no in our experience it's not now interestingly just to add on uh about price we went to see the um future crews and um that we said to them look you know we're we've we love this ship celebrity beyond a fantastic show however we want to find out if i wanted to come book a cruise on celebrity beyond in a normal conventional balcony how much more would i have to pay and interestingly it's the same in it paul without she i think he promised everyone and it was 20 quinching yeah to have about and that's the thing um [Music] some people are going to be watching this now like carrick oh i'm moaning about nothing moaning about nothing this to me is for how much use this window is in these blinds this to me is like staying in an ocean view cabin yeah an ocean a posh one a pot yeah it's a nice ocean view camping but a nice ocean view cabin on the majority of cruise ships would be four five six hundred pounder person cheaper yeah than a balcony cabin yeah whereas this which is like a glorified ocean view cabin yeah is actually more expensive and um uh daniel got who booked this cruise for us from go cruising travel yesterday i mentioned fab um this crew started off at not far under five thousand pound for nine days yeah and when various to both of us when various deals came around he's got this now to a smidge over four grand yeah last time two grand per person yeah for a glorified yeah ocean view but if we wanted a suite at the beginning double the price has double the price but like i said because we we didn't know about the balcony situation there's only 36 balcony cameras it's actually always suspected there's suites but actual standard balcony cabins which are all at the air or tiny bit cheaper than that there's only 36 available so if you want one you've got to get getting early and to be fair to don he's been on the ship and he stayed in this cabin not in this cabin cabin is this and he said in my humble opinion you won't know yet and he was right but we wanted to try it yeah so we're glad we've tried it and we hope you found this um video useful because and there are some people who've been talking on the ship that love it so you know it may be for you it might not be for us um it hasn't worked but celebrity beyond has definitely worked the ship is absolutely spectacular yeah we love everything about the ship we did for this cabin if it well you know we're not saying never would be staying here again but it would certainly have to be like a seriously seriously good offer yeah for us to say well we would just but we've already got our eye there's a new celebrity ship coming out 70 cent and we've already got our eye um on booking one as soon as they come on so we can get an after balcony so there we are so that's our review of um uh the infinite balcony cabin
