when you want to book a cruise on a brand new  cruise ship do you find yourself trying to choose   your stateroom based on the rectangles on a color  coded deck plan wouldn't taking a real look at the   state rooms be a lot more helpful today we're  going to take a look at many of the stateroom   accommodations and the amazing Suites that you  can book for a memorable cruise on the brand new   celebrity Ascent so let's get on board right now  welcome back I'm Terry with next Wave Cruising   this is going to be fun celebrity has worked  hard to redesign staterooms On The Edge class   ships including this newest ship celebrity Ascent  to provide more living areas larger bathrooms and   99% of the state rooms feature king-size beds  that's a first we're going to start with the   interior State room and work our way up to some  amazing Suites today so stay with me throughout   this episode we're off to our stateroom tours  let's visit the interior stateroom the interior   staterooms range from 181 ft to the 212 ft  stateroom that you'll find in a deluxe inside   stateroom the light walls the nice lighting  and relaxing color palette of this stateroom   provide a really nice welcome the bath area is  just inside the stateroom door and the bathroom   is the same size as you'll find in other cabin  categories it's not smaller just because this   is an interior room you'll continue further  into this cabin to find the large bed along   with the seating and desk areas this state room  looks really attractive light and bright it's a   modern example of an interior stateroom that's  a pleasure to stay in for a celebrity Ascent Cruise most of the veranda State rooms on all  Edge class ships feature an infinite Veranda   let's take a look at a typical Veranda stateroom  and I'll show you what this means overall The   Veranda staterooms are sized at a comfortable  2011 square ft Plus 42 ft of Veranda space for   a total living area of 243 ft and FYI the standard  concierge class and aqua class Veranda State rooms   feature the same size and layout as what we'll  see here these State rooms feature king-size   beds nightstands and reading lights on both  sides of the bed and a mini fridge and a large   flat screen TV you'll also be pleased to find  some technology plugs next to one side of the   bed as well as there's a white technology box on  the dresser area that has us plugs European plug   and USB ports there are numerous storage areas  behind the wall panels and also a desk with a   lighted mirror and there's a long mirror inside  the closet now in this living space unlike the   previous Edge class ships you're going to notice  that this desk does not push in over the dresser   space so um if you're thinking that it will  just be aware that it is a permanent desk space   you still have the large mirror with the lighting  around it but this desk is in place and there it's   going to stay the living area features a good size  couch and modern artwork these rooms have Smart   controls near the entry to control temperature  and lighting which you can sync with your cell   phone for even greater convenience you'll enjoy  a spacious bath in The Veranda State rooms with   storage shelves above and below the sink area  along with a tiled shower with rounded glass door   nice bath products and room to move around the  bath areas are modern and clean with plenty of [Music] room the final section of this state room is  the infinite balcony area and you may have   heard about this on the other Edge class ships  it is here again on the ascent at the far end   of your stateroom you have basically glass from  floor to ceiling the top of which is a window   that will come down at the touch of a button and  I'll show you that but when the window is closed   you have all of this space as part of your air  conditioned State room there are two chairs and   a small table here for you to sit outside and  there are accordion doors and when the doors   are open all of this space is really part of the  living space of your state room or you can close   one or both of the accordion doors and have  a separate area as people are using the state   room for different function now I'll show you  how this window works and what turns this room   into a balcony and it's this set of controls  here and one of them is going to lower the   window to about chest height and that'll give  you a chance to let the fresh air in and to   have an unobstructed view of whatever is outside  whether it's the port or your destination when   you're done we'll hit the button again and  the window will come up to the top and close   and the air conditioning will come back on so  just remember when the window is open the air   conditioning is off there is another control  here and that is for your shade especially for   the evening for sleeping if you push the other  button you're going to have a floor to ceiling   dark shade that will come down covering that  wall of glass and giving you privacy [Music] overnight [Music] next if you enjoy watching the Wake off the back  of the ship you are really going to enjoy the   sunset Veranda stateroom in this stateroom the  bed is right near the wall of glass where the   slider doors head out to a step out veranda  and closer to the stateroom door there are   living areas with a couch and a combination  refrigerator vanity and storage area there   is a backlit mirror and pl plenty of room to  get ready to head out and enjoy the [Music] [Music] ship join me out here first on the balcony  to enjoy the view and see the furniture you'll   have to enjoy a morning coffee an afternoon  coffee cocktail or just sit back and relax to   enjoy that view the sunset Veranda stateroom  itself is pretty representative of a typical   Veranda State Room however if you want one  without the infinite Veranda if you want a   traditional balcony and that gorgeous view State rooms are in intended for guests with   Mobility disabilities and other disabilities  that require use of the accessible features   of the state rooms special needs accessible  staterooms are designed with wider doors Rollin   showers grab bars lower sink in vanity higher  toilet and ramped thresholds most accessible   staterooms also offer a 5-ft turning radius  there are also systems and sky Suite you'll see a large king-size  bed facing the wall of glass looking out to the   view the sky Suite offers a lot of storage on  one side of the bathroom door there is hanging   storage while the storage closet on the other  side of the bathroom door has shelves including   an area with a small safe for your personal items  this state room provides a spacious living area   with a couch and a coffee table and that's  going to be set up for you with a welcoming   bottle of champagne pain or wine as part of your  sweet experience on the celebrity Ascent on the   far wall are your combination refrigerator vanity  and storage dresser with more space to keep your   things there's also the box for your electronic  so you can plug in everything that you bring with   you whether it's your phone your tablet or your  computer and the tech box keeps all the cords   very organized the floor plan here is really set  up for you to enjoy your cruise in the sky Suite   when you come into the bath there's a combination  shower tub with a glass door it's very spacious   with upgraded bath amenities there is another door  that gives you the privacy of a water closet in   this bathroom there is the counter with storage  above and ottoman it's very practical to have   this spot to sit down and get ready the bathroom  provides a double length sink with storage above   the sink on either side as well as storage draw  below the sink and that draw right below the sink   that's where the hair dryer is stored so you may  want to check that out now when you go outside   there is a spacious balcony it's the full width  of this large Sky Suite State room this is the   perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon at sea or a  room service meal overall this is a wonderful   State room which provides access to the ship's  Retreat amenity areas now let's take a look at   the celebrity Suite guests will access everything  that the site experience on Celebrity Ascent has   to offer when you Cruise in the comfortable  well-designed celebrity Suite there is room   to move around and spread out in the 401 Square ft  of the celebrity Suite it has a nice large Veranda   balcony that gives you another 100 square ft to  enjoy this Veranda features comfortable Lounge   seating and back inside you can relax while  you enjoy the 50in smart TV and Surround Sound   Entertainment System guests and enjoy celebrity  exhale bedding and the king-size cashmere mattress   as well as a split bathroom for dual use this  bath gives you a tub with a shower in a sink   compartment with direct access from the bedroom  and that's separate from the other sink and toilet   area with a connecting door to accommodate dual  use with its modern comfortable color palette and   all of these Furnishings celebrity has set things  up for your next relaxing and enjoyable Cruise in   the celebrity Suite on the ascent [Music] next  up is the Royal Suite this is one of my favorite   Suite layouts on Celebrity Ascent I love the floor  to ceiling glass Veranda door and the window that   offers amazing views of the sea or your favorite  Port destination this Royal Suite is 687 sq ft of   space to be pampered in and it also has that  72 ft Veranda just outside the sliding glass   Veranda door and the wall of glass inside you can  enjoy a 55in smart TV in the ample living space   and in the bedroom enjoy the celebrity exhale  bedding on a king-sized cashmere mattress then   you can enjoy the soaking tub or the walk-in  shower in your sweet bath all of the Furniture   Design touches and storage are ready to welcome  you to a long luxurious Cruise in the royal suite [Music] [Music] I have a question for you have you ever stayed  in a townhouse at Sea you'll definitely want   to check out the two-story Edge Villas on the  celebrity ascent and there are six of them on   this ship this extra special Suite has such a  unique design and it Blends your indoor outdoor   spaces throughout the edge Villa is large at 739  sq ft with a 211 ft Veranda look around you can   enjoy the private Terrace with a 3-ft deep  plunge pool and comfortable inviting Lounge   Furniture you'll also have direct access from  this Edge Villa onto the retreat deck from the   second story of The Edge Villa right outside the  door is an area just for the EDG Villa guests the   full Retreat Sund deck is the sweet only common  area for sweet guests that will provide you with   easy access to a pool more Lounge furniture and  day beds there is a retreat bar and food area   there's so much to bedroom  and bath and a second bedroom with its own bath   you can unpack and organize your belongings in  the walk-in closets the living area features   a 65in smart TV and your own Surround Sound  Entertainment System there's a dining table   in the suite that sits 8 and a separate living  room area as well when you want to relax the   master bath includes a whirlpool tub with  Incredible outside views those windows are   incredible in this Suite there's also a second  full bath for the guest bedroom the luxurious   celebrity exhale bedding with King Size cashmere  mattresses are friends and family right here in your   stateroom and in all of the high level Suites  two complimentary bottles of Premium spirits   come along with VIP canapés and unlimited access  to all specialty dining on board for lunch and   dinner there's a complimentary laundry service and  so much more all part of your iconic experience in   the celebrity iconic Suite now on to that 689 ft  Veranda well here's a huge amount of outdoor space   look at the private hot tub and the covered double  day bed for your very own use this is definitely   a not to be missed accommodation for your special  Cruise or celebration on Celebrity ascent and if   you could possibly need even more space there's  an option on the celebrity Ascent to combine   this iconic Suite with a royal suite next door  for even more room at Sea which is able to very   comfortably accommodate up to 10 passengers in the  combined State rooms talk about modern luxury at [Music] Sea well let's go back and take a look at  the retreat Sund deck all around the deck   there are different seating areas for large  or small groups plenty of really comfortable   Chase lounges covered day beds areas in the Sun  and in the shade this Retreat deck is elaborate   and larger than the retreat deck that you'll see  on some of the earlier Edge class ships or on the   renovations made to other ships in the fleet The  Retreat deck offers hot tubs of its own plants   beautiful Decor including exclusive artwork and  then more couches and seating areas for you to   enjoy all around the front of the ship it really  is beautiful there is a pool facing forward which   includes some really fun and interesting swing  wings and Decor elements that have been added   here to make this a special and exclusive  experience for retreat guests on Celebrity [Music] Ascent once you've been out in the sun  for a while you may want something to drink and   perhaps to stay outside for your lunch you don't  have to leave the retreat deck you can get your   lunch and refreshments right there with staff  ready to help you make it a really nice rest   of your day but if you're ready to go inside  for lunch and certainly for dinner as a sweet   guest you have access to the One exclusive  restaurant that nobody else does and that's   Lum on Celebrity Ascent Lumin has been moved  fully into the retreat area at the top front   of the ship there is plenty of room allocated  to this Lumin restaurant it's very large here   on Ascent with a long wall of Windows and it  brings in lots of light and the opportunity to   enjoy the views as you're cruising in the evening  and you can see that the decor here in in Lumin   really makes this an elevated dining experience  one that you'll really appreciate being a retreat   guest on the
