hello everybody this is my brand new tutorial about how to work with freud um without any outside uh materials other than something like pencil side or like art program or clip studio photoshop whatever um but this particular tutorial doesn't include anything outside of roy so it's very user friendly uh beginner friendly and it gets some really cool results with minimum effort all right so figure out how to start all right so first off you're going to want to go to your looks and you want to get rid of all of your rim lights uh they look sort of gaudy and not that pleasant and they kind of i don't like it same with shading you want to get rid of your natural shaders and roy they're not that great and we're going to be hand drawing our shadows ourselves give it a nice clean shaded cell look so you see i want to make it all yeah see yeah the shading isn't that great in my opinion all right your outline you want to make your hair have an outline along with your body and your face and your accessories especially if you get like ears alright so i like to choose a preset because i don't know sometimes they have some nice stuff and it helps with figuring out my parameters so i also like to get rid of the basic outfit that it comes with it just makes it easier for me to focus on not having to worry about what the outfit looks like and i also have my custom textures that get rid of the outfit you just erase the outfit from the texture all right so you're going to go to your skin first first and foremost i have a lot of textures forgive me it's messy i'm going to make a new one and edit texture and you're going to choose a color yeah on your body and you're going to want to go and create new and do exactly the same thing it's just completely get rid of those textures you don't want them they are uh kind of genky i don't like them but also that's just how i like to do my style no textures just basic colors nice and clean [Music] i'm gonna grab my sclera's custom um i have so many muscles this one i and then i forget oh there you go there's light i get nice and clean it looks really flat right now but we will fix that so uh for eye shading i like to use blues and teals purples and browns uh it really depends on the kind of look i'm looking for sometimes green but purple is a nice safe color i think i added too much yeah go back in yep there we go much better yeah get rid of any like makeup and stuff we don't want that it really depends on what look you're going for oh and so we're going to make the eyes bigger and thinner to get the cartoony look get rid of that the eye highlights you don't want that until after you do your eye rest okay so this is a really easy texture that i like it's just my my ears are so big i'm gonna make sure uh you make it on both sides you're gonna wanna choose a a dark color a dark color let's just see blue yeah blue just shade it around it oh easy circle around it and then i like to use like a little glassy kind of top or oh it's really light a little darker would be better yeah and your lighter nice seafoam color make an outline oh too big outline around it you don't have to do this i just think it would look pretty at the moment [Music] you know whatever i i like i highlight okay regular eye highlights i wanna make it a plus one yeah that works [Music] all right your nose contour this part is uh just erase your nose you don't have a nose anymore nose nose you don't need that all right so you're going to take your face skin color and lighten it okay so it's like to cast the shot like on the opposite of a shadow it's a highlight i'm gonna highlight your nose because it exists even though nobody can see it make it bigger yeah that works okay so i'm going to open the mouth so i can see it while i'm working very good mouth and then we're going to create new all right so anime mouse are like an orangey red color so let's get that color both tones and then the inside we're gonna make it like a dark purpley color all right and see it's kind of flat so we're going to line it up to make it look like there is depth in the mouth and color the underside of the tongue [Music] again it looks like the inside of a mouth not just a flat surface nose yes nose that's not the right parameter uh nope wrong one two no size there go my ears are too big you can't see all right ears raptor and then we're gonna start messing with the chin around [Music] and basically trying to hide the sharpness of the chin my ears are too big [Music] but you want to make your face as cute and round as possible now we're going to mess with the body tech the body parameters to make it look a little bit more reasonable it's the neck thickness yeah see that nice uh nice side view looks very nice very anime and the eyebrows uh again this is one of those ones you don't have to really do anything with i like my thick eyebrows with a little hatch marks in it [Music] as you can see i like my ears my ears my eyebrows hatched i think it's cute normal there we go i think i'm bigger than before [Music] i'm gonna work on our eyelids next you're going to want to get that dark color you want that color make it match the whole body [Music] look how messy it is it's so ugly but you can always like erase it and go along [Music] okay and this is we're going to be determining the color of your shadows [Music] all right i am just going to work directly onto a pre-made hairstyle set because again this is just mainly me teaching you how to cell shape it's pretty i add a hairstyle oh god that's a lot of groups all right we're gonna take those bangs up i don't like those bangs [Music] yep yep now i can see her beautiful eye eyebrows and we're going to find those side hairs i want to make this longer too [Music] god there's so many i regret it i regret choosing this hairstyle all right we're going to go in our materials and uncheck both those we don't need those and we're gonna choose a solid color like a nice brown to be pretty yeah just completely erase that it's all in line right here let's just kind of like clean it up a little bit all right this part is tedious you're gonna go each hair and figure out its speed spot you're going to want to find an edge piece where the shadows hit [Music] i usually like to go from the middle and branch out [Music] and we're going to go ahead and delete some of the hairs that i don't like uh especially with cell shading they usually don't include a lot of hair piece it's usually pretty blocky and simple as thick we're going to get rid of ones that we don't need like these top pieces and go back [Music] damn she looking cute you're awesome fun i like your cut g [Music] looking all nice so now we can worry about the highlights again you're going to want to get that brown color [Music] figure out a find its sweet spot yeah looks good very nice very cute so we're gonna actually go back to the face i want to mess around with some of the stuff [Music] i always end up going back after i do the hair to mess with the face because the hair frames the faceness in certain ways and certain hairstyles look different on different faces oh yeah that looks cute that's with the straighten i get sort of like bored look a little mischievous look actually and the mouth you can see it's kind of clipping into the face i'm gonna go in and fix that and just make a line all right so now we're going to be working on the most important part we're going to fake our shadows all right gonna take that color and we're going to get to work you want to shade around the hair like at an angle and just keep shading [Music] [Music] so so [Music] all right so now we're gonna be working on the next shading let's try again [Music] much better yeah okay all right so we're working about the next back of the neck which is this little area right here or fix it up with a regular skin color sort of match those lines you made yup much better it looks good and i want to add some other stuff to the oh excuse me base hair to make it more personal but look you got some nice cell shading already done and it looks so professional looking and it's not even done with blender it looks cute i love it so much
