I'm instead of me introducing all of them I just want you all to stand up and give all of Bernie's brothers Cedric the Entertainer Steve Harvey DL you play the Kings of Comedy all right hey how's everybody doing all right good brother pass the righty a hard act to follow right there he tight with it and rel Meeks you talking about your little humble church I just like a mall I passed a footlocker I'm in here I've tried out like where's the sanctuary they say it's past the food court and go through and the foot lock around the corner man you're going there I was like small little congregation okay it's definitely an honor to be here to pay respect to the family and my brother Bernie you know I I knew it was going I mean this dude is a very very popular guy I mean I even though y'all know I'm good to see everybody here but y'all know y'all know y'all was calling me like saying let me get pho tickets to the funeral man I was like now that don't make no sense right there this he steal the hottest ticket in town that is that's all right right there man that's all right right there it is it is I mean he's a great dude when I first started doing comedy I would come I live in st. Louis and I would come up here that you gotta have this really great comedy show the admitted genuine draft this Comedy Competition and you know if you lived in the Midwest if you wanted I remember was $3,000 if you win and that was I mean 3,000 come on now and I'm talking about in the late eighties 3,000 three I told my mom she and you had to work no Mon 3000 I believe that too I was like I got 3000 mama you ain't got work no mom but Bernie was wanting to do that took me in like very early on he was he was always the kind of cat so confident in his own self in his own comedy that he didn't matter how funny he was bringing it or what she was bringing he encouraged it he wanted you to do your very best and I mean when I went to go do New York I first time I did kept def Comedy Jam it was my first time there that was his famous I ain't scared of you y'all know what I do not rest of it don't try to get me to go to the end but there was that show and you know but he was sitting we had lunch and he was telling me you know say it be yourself man you know the thing about coming to New York is you got it you'll find yourself being intimidated you know and so just be yourself be your very self out there you know and then he went out and had this magical show and it was just something that I took with me that you know encouraged me to be you know the best comic that I can be and it was it was an honor to find myself working with him as a peer and uh and alongside him on the kings of comedy so and you know and as I travel through life it was interesting that as I would go through after the Kings and I would go through Bernie would say I mean I would see people and they would think I don't know how they mixed us up I mean I'm gonna know I'm shorter than him maybe cuz we was the two darkest ones that are Kings of Comedy be it Bernie was darker than me know just for a record but people sorry though but people but it was it was it was really no it was the articles people would see me and they go hey Bernie Mac and I would be like no but you know but it was you it was you knew that it was just so much love and admiration for him that even they've got alright right you say it me and they would still be gonna tell Bernie Mac I said hey you know you know I'll be like thank you but I do I am I am I had to be here I knew that the brother had been you know ill for a minute and we called and talked with the family and you know I'm and you know I was just really sad to hear that he passed on but he was a dynamic human being and lived a very big life in a great life and it's this is the right way to celebrate Bernie Mac so big love to you be Mac Rob
