Australians want to play Ballers gay three but don't have a PC powerful enough maybe you only have an Xbox but you don't have to wait until next year but worry not because thanks to Nvidia GeForce now powered by penternet you can play Baldur's Gate 3 right now on almost any device for just a fraction of the cost of purchasing new hardware click the link below to try it for free or stick around to the end of the video to learn more Guardians I mean Gamers did you guys see that Destiny 2 final shape reveal oh what's that you don't care lick about Destiny well bad luck buddy you're on the wrong Channel I'm gonna force feed you Destiny like that scene in Clockwork Orange but like Austin does with Guild Wars 2 every time I hand in the mic stay tuned for more of that very soon by the way it's a very big week for announcements actually we had their Destiny 2 showcase we had the donkey big mode memo which was really great by the way but most importantly we got the August edition of Jeff keeley's trailorama live from the assumedly very pleasant smelling Cologne Germany there Jeff wowed us with updates for games we already knew about but to be honest with you that's okay 2023 is so absolutely jam-packed with huge titles that I think our plate is full of for the next little while so I personally I'm in no rush to hear about new games that I won't have time to play still we did get a good look at a whole bunch of stuff that we already knew about so let's say we start with that huh here comes the news another game show another [ __ ] loser rushing the stage to shout out some stupid [ __ ] yes exactly all right well guys this is the second time in a row that Jeff has had to put up with this [ __ ] and you can tell that he was not happy Jeff gave us his disappointed dad speech and to be honest I was right there with him that's just so disappointing this is such a special night for so many developers it's really disappointing to see someone act that way but we're gonna move right on with the show we've got a lot of great games to show you it kind of sucks to see events like this interrupted by low grade Antics like yelling GTA 6 over and over again into a mic like yeah good job buddy at the same time I guess it's on Jeff and the venue to beef up security a little more since these people certainly aren't going to stop doing it no matter how much of a guilt trip Jeff lays on regardless the rest of the event went pretty well with Todd Howard revealing that he is positively bursting with excitement for his upcoming game you know it is our first new franchise in over 25 years so if I was going to come you know it's for Starfield geez Todd are you allowed to say that in public I guess the rules are a bit different over there in Germany Jeff Keely was very smart in the setup for this Gamescom Opening Night Live as he made very clear that this showcase would focus us on games we already knew about rather than World premiere reveals of the dozens and dozens of games shown on the night only two of them were brand spanking new they're very impressive looking little nightmares 3 and the very unexpected Killing Floor 3 the last one of those dropped back in 2016 so it's quite a long time between drinks longer still when you consider that this has no release window so it may not even arrive next year outside of that the show Absolutely settled into those updates on previously revealed games just as Jeff promised but I'm not gonna lie a lot of it was pretty impressive for example black myth Wukong take a look recent Hands-On previews for this one have all been pretty encouraging so here's hoping this one plays as good as it looks Crimson desert was the other big one to steal the show this is from the developer behind Black Desert online and it looks a little like this foreign there's a lot going on here and yeah I'm kind of into it this wasn't on my radar earlier but seeing how big this is how many gameplay systems are at work the imagination at play here it's firmly on my radar now and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it sometime next year I was also very excited to see more Nightingale the upcoming Survival game made by a bunch of ex-bioware developers take a look all right [Music] as I've mentioned in the past I've spoken to the studio head about this one and there's some really cool ideas going into it stuff that hasn't even been shown off yet it's been very high on my wish list for some time and this trailer has only piqued my interest further best of all we got an early access release date for it it's now locked in for February 22nd next year a few more titles got a release date locked in like Tekken 8 which is launching January 26 next year Sonic superstars on October 17th and the crew motor Fest on September 14th that one comes with a five hour free trial as well so do keep that in mind now the realm continued their Pitch Perfect drip feeding of reveals when they showed off a new story focused trailer for Mortal Kombat 1. it looks just about as ridiculous and over the top and awesome as previous MK stories and I have every intention of playing through the campaign and never touching the multiplayer because fighting games are scary allenway 2 is dropping in October and to this point we hadn't seen any gameplay of the Title Character it's all been about the other character Saga a cop researching paranormal style murders in a swampy Bayou region Alan Wake though seems to be stuck in New York or a different dimension or on television or all of the above that's the beauty of a remedy game you typically have no idea what the [ __ ] is going on but you were just happy to be along for the ride as exciting as all of this was I think the most exciting trailer we saw was for a game that's been out for three years you know the one the my favorite Mark Welcome To Dark town there's a job coordinates provided you know what to do cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty arrives in September and for the first time city project red have been willing to speak in depth about all the improvements coming to the base game and there are a lot of them new weapons new and reworked cyberware a complete overhaul of the terrible perk system from launch new vehicles vehicular combat a rework of enemy Ai and the police system as well as what city project red are calling endless Dynamic events and missions honestly I think this looks [ __ ] awesome to the point where I had to resist the urge to re-download cyberpunk right now and the only way I stop myself from doing that was remembering that these improvements don't arrive until the expansion launches in September like I said though you don't need to purchase this expansion to enjoy a lot of these updates so if you haven't yet played cyberpunk that'll be the perfect time to do it and that was Gamescom opening nightlife but I must say I enjoyed myself Jeff set expectations at the right level we got to see plenty of actual gameplay for games we're excited about and we didn't have to sit through a single anti-vaping commercial which is always a big win from cologne to Seattle from Gamescom to Bungie HQ earlier today Bungie held a showcase where they ripped the cover off the final shape the last expansion in the 10 years long light vs dark Saga concluding that story arc and setting Destiny up for its next ERA this reveal comes at a pivotal moment for Bungie a few weeks prior they pdf'd a state of the game blog post and they got a wish they used a less permanent file format because that did not go very well for them it essentially announced the end of Gambit the pvep thing which will now go into a sort of maintenance mode it tried but failed to explain why the team wasn't pumping out more free armor sets but most importantly it painted a grim future for PVP a part of the game that is long languished under Bungie's repeated over-promising and under delivering the update said that the faucet will not be turned to the right and that the drip feed of PVP content will continue you meaning that the PVP side of the game would continue to well suck basically the response to the blog post was so bad that it prompted people who don't even play Destiny to take a dump on it that's when you know you've really pinned something special Bungie to their credit listened and game director Joe Blackburn did a 15-minute webinar thing where he promised new free armor and promised a whole bunch of new PVP stuff including Bungie assembling a PVP Strike Team to move internally at Bungie delivering quality of life improvements game systems and new content so that was the setup into this pivotal reveal how did the main event go down yeah look I'm always gonna keep it 100 with you especially when it comes to Destiny this was not the Showcase that many people myself included had hoped for it ticked the boxes we expected it to tick it made clear that there was this final showdown with the witness happening that this would conclude the 10-year long light versus dark Saga and that it would be a story centered on our allies those still with us and those who might have already fallen it introduced a smattering of new gameplay elements like a new super and aspect for each class as well as one new enemy type there were a few quality of life things too like the delayed introduction of the in-game looking for group system that was about it like I said it did the things we expected it to but it did absolutely none of the things that we were hoping it might do a new subclass a new anime faction a new core gameplay system like Master working or crafting or whatever a new PV EVP game mode to replace gamberder anything really but myself and many others we were always going to play the final shape because after 10 years we've got to see The Saga through to the end the thing I was hoping for was a reason to keep playing Destiny after I'd laid out the witness and taken a screenshot over his corpse it reminded me of when I first killed arthas all of those years ago at the conclusion of Wrath of the Lich King for many of us that was the end of our Warcraft Saga and while we all dipped our toes in and out after that it was never quite the same namely because blizzard weren't able to find a new High Point either narratively or in their core gameplay design so yeah I'm looking forward to the final shape I am but I hope Bungie can come up with some ways to get me looking forward to what might come after that because right now I'm feeling like 10 years will have been a good run and a good time to step off moving from Sony's live service to one of Microsoft's or at least it soon will be probably blizzard have responded to OverWatch 2 becoming the lowest rated game in the history of steam man just think about that imagine applying for a job at blizzard all those years ago excited to join one of the most beloved and respected and influential game makers in the history of the industry being unaware just a few short years you'd be getting an email that reads our game is the lowest rated game in history can you work up a press release or something thanks Bobby codic OverWatch 2 game director Aaron Keller was in the hot seat for this one in a blog post he blogged quote many of the reviews on Steam mentioned the cancellation of the much larger component of PVE that was announced in 2019 as one of their primary reasons for dissatisfaction with the game I get that that announcement was about an ambitious project that we ultimately couldn't deliver if we can't turn back the clock then what can we do we can keep adding to an improving OverWatch 2 that is how we move forward this means more maps Heroes game modes missions stories events cool cosmetics and features and ever-expanding evolving and improving game this is the future of OverWatch one where we will continually create and innovate on what is making the game great now for the players who are playing now end quote it's a sort of expected response from a man in a tough position obviously OverWatch 2 is not the worst game you can play on Steam right now or even one of the worst the response to it is a clear sign of just how pissed off and disappointed players are the good news is that we've seen many games come back from this sort of negative sentiment after they've been willing to put in the work be straight with their Community not rip off their customers and always put quality before the Mighty Dollar and if there is one company we know who can pull this off its Activision explicit sorry I couldn't even finish that sentence without laughing if OverWatch ain't gonna bring in the dosh then perhaps Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will because wind should know it it is a full priced 70 title you might think hang on of course it is it always has been but earlier reporting from Jason schreier of Bloomberg said that at one point it was a sort of add-on for Modern Warfare 2 featuring a lot of reprise content and selling for less than full price if that reporting was ever accurate it isn't now because Modern Warfare 3 is absolutely a full price game with a new campaign continuing the events of Modern Warfare 2 Activision are promising some new juice in the campaign as well they're calling them open combat missions and they seem to allow you to complete objectives in different ways rather than just go you know all guns blazing like pretty much every Cod Mission ever all 16 launch maps from the 2009 version of Modern Warfare 2 will feature in the game as well each of them getting a nice glow up courtesy of the new engine it's out on November 10th for current and last gen consoles it will surely and sadly be the highest selling game of 2023 despite it you know being one of the best years of video games in like a decade that's just this is how it goes a late breaking and very big update on Microsoft's efforts to acquire Activision Blizzard King recall that they are essentially Victorious at this point except for the final boss King Charles of House Windsor or more specifically his government the British CMA is blocking the deals citing concerns about cloud gaming but they did agree to continue examining the transaction after Microsoft best of the United States FTC well here's the latest Microsoft is proposing that it will divest its Cloud streaming rights for Activision Blizzard titles in the UK selling them to a third-party provider so as to avoid Microsoft entrenching itself as a cloud Monopoly you know who's going to be buying up those rights Ubisoft if the transaction is approved the french-based Ubisoft will be publishing the games for Activision Blizzard King a US company but only via cloud and only in the United Kingdom that's very messed up the CMA appears to be open to this proposal and has agreed to review the deal again in light of this massive change they've given themselves a mid-october deadline and while I know you are tired of hearing about this transaction and believe me I am tired of reporting on it I will unfortunately have to keep you posted and finally I know you will have heard the news already but we couldn't end the news block without tipping our red hat to the man of the hour Charles martinet who this week announced that he was stepping back from his role as the voice of Mario Martinez has voiced the most iconic character in all of video gamedoms since Mario 64 and since then he has voiced him in every single Mario game doing an absolutely superb job with his energy and enthusiasm and passion Mario doesn't say much but he doesn't need to because Martin net strings of yuck Wahoos have always said More Than Words ever could Nintendo did clarify that martinet did not voice Mario in the upcoming Mario won the game due out in October but they did offer him an honorary role that of Mario Ambassador which I assume involves him going around to conventions and events smiling shaking hands signing autographs and getting paid for doing it I think he deserves every cent and then some and I'm sure we all wish him nothing but health and happiness as he embarks on this new chapter in his life and career so what got announced or delayed this week well in addition to all of that Gamescom goodness we did get a few things locked in a few things delayed and one major title moving forward a week to avoid the Perils of broke Tobar kicking things off is the surprise reveal of fight crab 2. take a look at this foreign crab 2 is the sequel to The Hidden Indie gem fight crab a game where kaiju's size Crustaceans duke it out using all manner of Weaponry from hammers to swords to actual guns and Rockets it was and is ridiculous and the sequel looks even more so this is the video game equivalent of high guy food where you just throw together whatever you can find and consume it while quietly chuckling to yourself there's no release date for this one yet so it's probably out sometime next year seminal Batman Arkham Trilogy is making its way to the Nintendo switch and now has a release date locked in October 13th the Invincible is one I've had on my radar for a while now it's a debut title from developer Starwood Industries and it's an adaptation of a classic Sci-fi novel from the looks of it the game is a narrative-led thriller with an absolutely gorgeous Lo-Fi sci-fi aesthetic kind of like Fallout if the world hadn't gone to [ __ ] previews for this one have been a little mixed but I'm still holding out hope and we'll find out for ourselves when the game Launches on its newly confirmed release date November 7th if only one very big surprise release date announcement was for ghost Runner 2. now I had no idea this was targeting a 2020 3 release window but just yesterday one more level announced that the sequel to their much-loved cyberpunk theme Parkour game would arrive on October 26th now that's cool and all but October's pretty busy man I mean in that one week alone we've got Super Mario Brothers Wonder Spider-Man 2 Hot Wheels Unleashed to City skylines 2 alone in the dark and now Alan Wake 2 we'll come back to that one in a second meanwhile November is wide open I'm unsure why 505 have landed on this October release date but hey if you guys listen to this video please delay your game to November I promise you you will make more money you are welcome you know who understands what I'm talking about Ubisoft that's who because this week they announced that Assassin's Creed Mirage was coming out a week earlier than planned moving it from October 12th up to October 5th specifically so they can avoid that latter part of October which is totally stacked you know who else understands what I'm talking about sort of Remedy who this week announced that Alan Wake 2 would ship 10 days later than initially planned again specifically to avoid those middle weeks of October which are nuts Alan Wake 2 will now arrive on October 27th giving a nice clear runway for that one I'm very very excited for it final delay announcement this week was for Pacific Drive the bahara survival car game I was invited to a hands-off preview for this one and let me tell you it was sick I loved it and I cannot wait to get my hands on with it I will have to wait a bit longer though it seems as the planned 2023 release window has been abandoned the developer now targeting early 2024 no specific release date yet but I will definitely keep you posted you should totally wish this this one by the way it's looking very cool trust me so what came out last week well moving out to arrive for all platforms unsurprisingly it's a good time if you're in the mood for some co-op hijinks I thought would you end up yelling at each other in a friendly way of course Steam Reviews have this at a mostly positive 79 and open critic has it about the same strong 82 IGN put it well when they scored at an eight saying quote moving out two is a colorful and chaotic Co-op sequel that tasks you with bending at the knees while constantly splitting your sides and quote very clever wayfinder oh man okay so this one came out last week technically speaking but its launch has been so plagued with technical issues that the game may as well not have come out at all servers were utterly melted as the developers through wide the gates to paid Founders and this is meant to eventually be a free to play game aiming to Target Millions more people than would have paid to play the developer Airship Syndicate issued an apology for the issues and published a digital extremes took responsibility for the server issues since they're providing the infrastructure for it the result is a 31 mostly negative rating on Steam and a huge loss of momentum for what looked to be a pretty promising title true story Austin has been trying to review this game all week long but he hasn't been able to get in for more than a few hours as service stability and ridiculous cues have made the process all but impossible he is still working on those who expect that review when things eventually improve for now though you better always find yourself another game to play because this one is not ready do you like that one if you did like And subscribe thank you very much the Red Dead Port launched for the switch and the PS4 it is not very good and it is overpriced please don't buy it shadow Gambit the cursed crew arrived on all platforms by the switch last week and this one has low key crushed it it's from the team behind the very well received Desperados 3 and they seem to have topped that effort as Shadow Gambit sits at 96 overwhelmingly positive on Steam and a mighty 85 on open critic PC game were big fans scoring it at 87 and saying quote on par with its excellent predecessors Shadow Gambit trades some Focus design for deeply compelling piratical Freedom end quote and yes a radical is a word that means relating to Pirates I know because I had to look it up when I read it Gamespot was seeing it from the same pirate Shanty sheet when they said quote Shadow Gambit the cursed crew is a bountiful blend of stealth strategy and swashbuckling end quote they scored it a 9 out of 10. a great result for a studio that seems to be going from strength to strength so congrats to them Texas Chainsaw Massacre arrived last week I had actually thought that this was 1v4 like most other horror games on the market turns out this one is actually 3v4 providing a novel twist that coupled with everything else seems to have paid off since the game is currently sitting at a very positive 84 on Steam and a strong 77 on open critic Eurogamer enjoyed it but clearly ran into some technical hiccups scoring at three out of 5 stars and saying quote a delightfully Macabre homage this asymmetrical horror could finally threaten dead by Daylight's Crown if you didn't spend more time fighting the servers than Leatherface himself end quote and twisted voxel were of a similar mind scoring in an eight insane quote a few noteworthy issues aside The Texas Chainsaw Massacre surpasses its predecessors by delivering a thrilling and engaging asymmetrical multiplayer horror experience end quote final release for the week was the big one maybe not in terms of hype or mine share of sales or anything else but certainly in terms of nostalgia bomb Rush cyberfunk is doing what Sega refuses to do it's keeping the Jet Set Radio Vibe alive without any nfts God bless them I will admit that I was worried that this one would be all Sizzle no sausage a cynical play to lure in those of us who owned a Dreamcast and wish things had ended differently adopting the aesthetic and sounds of the seminal classic but none of its heart luckily my fears appear to have been totally unwarranted as reviews made clear that bomb Rush is [ __ ] awesome 98 overwhelmingly positive on Steam is huge though the four critic reviews currently available are less enthused putting it at a strong 77 on open critic the game's Central review gives a hint as to why they scored at a seven and said quote that captures the soul of Jet Set Radio perfectly with only a limited attempt to evolve the formula for modern times this feels uncomfortably trapped in the early 2000s end quote personally I am more than happy to make a trip back to a time when my playlist was all Backstreet Boys and gorillas but if you are looking for an evolution of that formula I can see how you could land on a seven for this one for me bomb Rush has already installed on my steam deck ready for the moment when I can take a break from all these AAA behemoths which by my calculations should be around November if we're lucky so what's coming out this week oh man like everything everything's trying to squeeze out the door before Starfield arrives because Publishers know that the first two weeks of September belong to Todd and then after that to Idris Elba for now you can grab wrestle quiz that's about available right now on all platforms it was due to drop a few weeks back but was delayed at the 11th Hour as the developer found a game breaking bug they didn't change the review embargo though and as such reviews have been out for a few weeks now to tell the story of a pretty good title but not necessarily a must play a fair and nice 69 and open critic do note the length of this one though I thought it would be like a 10 to 15 hour Affair turns out it's closer to 30 or 40 hours so yeah a brief side quest this ain't also out today is uh that's right it's this all right Austin go on Happy Guild Wars 2 expansion launch day everyone uh this one's called secrets of the Obscure and it's bringing new maps set above the clouds new Mount abilities new reward systems new builds and the beginning of a completely new story arc which means it's a great time to jump in as a new player not surprised if you had no idea this was coming out there's been like no marketing for it which makes me cautiously optimistic is it secretly bad or secretly very good I guess we'll find out today I'm planning to do a full review of it on this very channel so be sure to subscribe and hit the Bell button if you'd like to hear me obsess about my favorite MMO for half an hour or as long as shillup lets me and that ladies and gentlemen was your monthly dose of Guild Wars 2 propaganda courtesy of their number one fan looking forward to more of that very soon moving right along Immortals of AVM arrived yesterday on PS5 Xbox series and PC I reviewed this one took a break from Baldur's Gate 3 to do it and you know what it's okay I'm not gonna sit here and tell you it's fantastic because it's not but it's fine its action is serviceable it looks flashy if you have a PC beefy enough to run it and the writing is often cringy in that sort of MCU comedy sense but at least the writers commit to the cringe rather than feeling low-key ashamed of it for me this was a nice palette cleanser a nice break from the bigger chunkier more demanding stuff that I'm currently playing through or about to play through it was just dumb silly forgettable fun that I did enjoy I wouldn't recommend this at full price necessarily especially not now given how stacked the release schedule is but on EA subscription service for a couple of bucks or later down the line at a discount I think you might be positively surprised by this one other reviewers put it somewhere similar the title sitting at a fair 71 on open critic there are a few Outlets are calling it bad it's just not great and it's definitely not an essential release in a window where there are a lot of essential titles dropping if you're interested to hear more I'll leave a link to my review below the like button Blasphemous two hits on the 24th for all platforms very little marketing part behind this one which is a shame because the first one totally ruled a Gothic religiously charged metroidvania that played as good as it looked and to be clear it looked excellent the sequel appears to be more and better the reviews for this one have already dropped a mighty 84 an open critic this is another instant purchase for me I don't know when I'll have time to play it but I will find that time eventually I went back and played Blasphemous one well after launch and we're so glad I did so I fully expect it to be the same thing here for the sequel unpacking was a breakout success when it launched last year to rave reviews the unpacking game that inspired a raft of copycats is now coming to mobile and you can download it on Android or iOS on the 24th biggest release for the week is the new thing out of from soft which is actually kind of the old thing out of fromsoft since this is them returning to the series that got them their start all those years ago before all their souls-borne ring games came along and turned the entire video games industry on its head I'm talking of course about armored Core Bandai Namco work kind enough to send me a review code for this one but sadly I have not had time to play it because I've been non-bull's gate and Immortals of avium and the new show and other exciting stuff that I can't talk about yet unfortunately this one goes into the old backlog for now but I am excited to return to it at some point because from software of course some of the best developers working right now and the preview that I played was so full of interesting things and gameplay design elements that I was Keen to experience more of the mech game is not a popular genre but if any Studio can make it popular it's from soft I have little doubt that they'll nail it we'll check back in on the reviews next week goodbye volcano highs and angsty visual novel that finally arrives to the PlayStation and PC on the 29th here's something special sea of stars hits all platforms on the 29th as well from the development team behind the messenger this one is a spiritual successor to the Chrono cross games to the point where they even got the Chrono cross composer on board yosunori matsuda who is a crazy talented composer by the way and part of me wants to play this just to experience the soundtrack this is promising to be a sprawling 2D retro inspired jrpg Style Adventure and the art design is looking superb every chance in the world this is going to be wonderful and not for nothing but this one is actually coming to both PS plus extra and Game Pass making it very easy to get your hands on it just briefly somebody Amigo is back only this time you're shaking Joy cons instead of Maracas that's out on the 29th and finally under the waves drops for all platforms bar the switch on the 29th as well this one is a narrative-led experience it tells the story of a deep sea diver living far under the waves exploring the deeps while also exploring the grief he carries following a tragic event I played this at Summer Games Fest and I really liked it the writing was very strong it went straight onto my wish list if you're looking to feel sad for a bit for some reason then I suspect this will do the job alright you might have seen this one already but I feel like it's worth a shout just to make sure that no ose missed it so what is on your radar [Music] in 1996 aka the before times a man by the name of Jeff Liu wanted to teach himself animation so he made a short titled the Killer Bean the interrogation it was a grim story set in a world of anthropomorphic coffee beans but it was successful enough that Luke kept at it releasing another short followed by a feature film which took him five years to make the film was titled Killer Bean Forever And while it received a middling reception back in 2008 it was uploaded to YouTube 10 years later and since then it has racked up over 50 million views becoming a cold classic in the process in 2019 Lou announced that he was making a killer bean video game and this is it it's first person it's third person it's parkour it's racing you can fly a fighter jet or an attack helicopter you can dual wield and slow down time like Max pan while playing as a goddamn coffee bean I mean come on man what else do you want this trailer has already massed over 900 000 views on YouTube so this is just getting warmed up and if you want to get in on the ground floor then be sure to wish list it over on Steam I've left a link to it over on my steam curator page which by the way has just passed 30 000 members so a big thanks for signing up to that one I'll leave a link to all of that below the like button it's not a free stuff time now and we're in the third week of the month so not a whole lot to talk about right now on Epic though you can grab black book which is a narrative-led adventure game based on Slavic pathology as well as dodo Peak which is a retro inspired platformer that kind of looks a little like crossy Road in more ways than one get them fast though because later this week they'll disappear replaced by the excellent Homeworld deserts of Carrick the ground-based prequel to The Homeworld series perfect for getting in the mood for Homeworld 3 which is due out early next year Prime gaming got its weekly refresh so right now you can grab Star Wars the Force Unleashed Two can you believe that it has been 13 years since that was released that is crazy and it still looks pretty good actually finally Game Pass got a monthly refresh and it's one of the more restrained updates we've seen in a while and I suspect that's got more than a little to do with what will be hitting game pass on September 6th but that is just a theory a game theory please don't sue me matpat I'm getting sidetracked what were we talking about again Ah that's right game pass this month it gets firewatch which starts really strong but belly flops The Landing griss which is amazing from start to finish sea of stars which we're all hoping is excellent and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre just so long as you've got the stomach for all the gore maybe you missed it earlier but when I was talking about a game releasing on September 6th I was talking about Starfield I mean I could have been talking about roon Factory 3 special which Launches on the same day as Starfield and I personally think it has a real shot of stealing significant market share from Starfield if Starfield misses its sales targets you will know that it was down to Todd Howard's hubris and his unwillingness to give roon Factory 3 special the wide berth it deserves again I digress but we are eventually getting to the feel-good story of the week pre-loading of Starfield has begun and one naughty person leaked starfield's start screen here it is it is a simple dare I say elegant menu that is rather than in keeping with previous Bethesda game start screens overall quite nice I think most of us would agree not so if you are one Mark Kern a former blizzard developer who worked on titles such as Starcraft Diablo 2 and World of Warcraft he'd go on to lead the development of the ill-fated Firefall before being sacked a CEO of his own company by the board of directors now to be clear the point of this block is not to make fun of this guy the internet's already taken care of that the point of this block is to make fun of what he said which is a subtle but important difference he tweeted out quotes the physiognomy of start screens hey Siri what does physio mean a person's facial features or expression especially when regarded as indicative of character or ethnic origin thanks Siri the physiognomy of start screens the start screen of a game can reveal a lot about how rushed the team was and how much pride they took in their work starfield's start screen either shows Hasty shipping deadlines by a passionate team overworked or a team that didn't care end quote now I have read some dumb stuff on Twitter in my time but that has got to be one of the top 10 Hall of Fame dumbest tweets right there start screen my guy are you serious right now do you know how much [ __ ] we have to put up with to be able to enjoy video games in 2023 and you're out here complaining about the start screens it led to a round of discourse most of it just dunking on this but it also led to a response from bethesda's head of publishing Pete Heinz who responded indirectly to Kern with quote or they designed what they wanted and that's been our menu for years and was one of the first things we settled on having an opinion is one thing questioning out a developer because KR because you would have done it differently is highly unprofessional coming from another Dev and quote the inverted commas there is Heinz throwing some shade since Kern hasn't worked in game bear for quite some time as funny as all the dunks and an official Bethesda response were it was Microsoft's in Exile Studio who took top honors they're working on the recently announced Clockwork Revolution and are now deleted tweet they wrote that they were moving all developer resources off the main game to focus on the start screen quote the campaign will be 45 minutes long but the start screen will be 20 hours end quote if you like that joke by the way you should play Wasteland 3 because it's full of that [ __ ] and Away stands 3 is [ __ ] cool and it's one of the most underrated crpgs released in a long time anyway that is the end of the show gamescom's in full swing so you should expect plenty of impressions videos from different outlets and content creators very soon myself included so if you'd like to stay on top of all of that coverage then be sure to hit the Subscribe button and ding the notification Bell we have about seven more videos planned before the end of the month there's gonna be a lot going on hugely helpful in YouTube land and I genuinely would appreciate it a great deal thank you again for stopping by and a big thank you to this week's sponsor GeForce now powered by pentanet all right ball is gay three it's certainly having a moment right now isn't it highest rated game of the year the highest rated title in all of open critic over 850 000 concurrent players on Steam not bad huh if you think it to yourself must be nice maybe it's because you don't have a PC strong enough to play it or maybe you only have a PS5 so you'll need to wait until next week or maybe you only have an Xbox so you'll need to wait until sometime next year that sucks right well what if I told you you didn't need to wait a second longer and that you could be playing border Skate 3 in mere minutes and it would cost you only a fraction of what it would cost you to buy a whole new console or God forbid a new pc enter Nvidia GeForce now powered by pentanet a powerful gaming platform lets you play thousands of games including Ballers Gate 3 through the power and magic of the cloud meaning you can play those games on your TV on your old outdated PC on your tablets and even on your Apple devices this is possible because GeForce now does all the graphical processing in the cloud and it just beams you an image similar to something like Netflix so if you have an internet connection at 15 megabits per second or higher you can start playing games through the cloud on almost any device either through a dedicated app or through a web browser like Apple Safari this is what nvidia's GeForce now PC client looks like here you can see just some of the games available key thing to note is that if they appear here it means that I own them on another platform like steam or epic or Ubisoft plus this is the best thing about GeForce now you don't need to re-buy your games to play them here it just lets you Cloud stream your existing game libraries which is awesome and here is Baldur's Gate playable with just a click of a button doing so will run the game on high-end PC Hardware in the cloud and you get to enjoy one of the greatest RPGs ever made right now without having to wait for it to come to console and without having to Fork out big Dosh for a new pc it's not just Builder's gate of course new games added to the service every single week just last week it got Texas Chainsaw Massacre wayfinder bomb Rush cyberfunk Shadow Gambit and more that's most of the biggest releases of the past week and they were all available on G GeForce now powered by penternet they just revised their pricing and membership models allowing you to choose the right package for you there is a free trial available all the time allowing you to test this for yourself and for less than a price of a cup of coffee you can get a full month of the basic tier membership giving you the ability to stream games on the fly with ease if you find yourself loving it and using it often you may want to check out their priority tier which provides a host of benefits including Ray tracing and if you use a shield TV pro you could upscale your GeForce now games to 4K so they'll look even better on your 4K TV or monotub PC gaming is I think the best way to go about it but the cost of Entry is intimidating and you have to worry about upgrading your hardware and troubleshooting issues ETC if you want to get into PC gaming without any of the cost or hassle then GeForce now is absolutely the way to do it allowing you to play new releases like Baldur's Gate 3 with ease you can try it now for free by clicking the link below thanks GeForce now powered by pensonet for sponsoring the video and thank you for watching it [Music] thank you
