Catching MONSTER Bluegill in the Summer! BIG PANFISH

what is welcome back to fishing with Norby just got out here - a little Conservation Area gonna walk about 20 minutes back into this pond try to do a little bluegill episode for you all my buddy Cody is already out here at the pond so I'm gonna meet him back there I think he's caught three or four big bluegill go we're gonna go see if we can get on and let's go [Music] all right here's the first pawn Kody is not at this one he is way further back we're gonna walk in about ten minutes so far we are not there yet oh you got another one on had a baby Wow giant bluegill nice let's see that thing I got the camera roll oh nice heck yeah big ol bluegill black in chartreuse nice yeah I got the bar on two can't beat that oh nice Wow heck yeah you got some good gills on there they're all fat dude yeah you got any small ones yeah they're probably spawning dude might generate a spawn the waters warmed up so much this spring all right let's catch some more okay looks like cody has 8 to 10 bluegill already you've only been out here for what yeah I just got out here about 20 minute walk back in definitely not an easy place to get into but definitely worth it for these giant gills you just casting straight out if they're out there they got to be loaded all over this pond so you said you were catching right along the bank I'm gonna try casting down the source cuz yeah the ones closer to shore probably spawn in oh there's one hooked up oh yeah Wow stud Gilley's oh my gosh is it big as my hand it's not bigger Wow look at that inhale the dude he inhaled that beautiful bluegill wow that is awesome you just missed one tear all right am i fill my bucket with some watery I was like my third cast the head of one had a bite and pulled it down I think I need a new jig I'm just gonna throw the same thing off for now we'll adjust as needed yes but if we had little worms or something oh my gosh oh look at that swirled in the crust your jig there's one oh yeah oh yeah another toad fat gillies gillies are the best eaten to like I like him better than crappie yeah yeah they're a little bit more firm me too in the bucket you got one he got off yeah here we go solid lefty oh you got hooked up hey that looks like a fighter he's fighting super hard Wow nice Mentos big ol ghillie Jud Wow gosh you can't beat that for a bluegill fishing yeah Wow oh I'm hooked up dude oh I got a bass on no way yeah be good yeah he's a decent bass oh yeah that is awesome toad look at the Hat yep that is my type of fish right there look how skinny is all spawned out and a bluegill yeah they go Gil that is awesome good pond man good choice yeah we got to hit that during ice for damn sure get some giant gills as you all know I'm a bass fisherman I'm going to release this see skinny fish oh wow what a great start already I've caught three gills and a good-sized bass Cody's over here with ten we can keep 20 apiece so we're gonna try to fill our limits keep fish in here who knows there may be crappie in here something we've never fished this pong before it's new to us and they're bitin let's keep fishing oh I got one Oh big Gilly another one Wow good good kills man okay I lied that's my third one I thought I had three already I've missed a bunch I've probably missed 10 already yeah I left a 3-1 bass they gotta be by those trees I'm gonna go try it yeah I'm gonna go try it you would hope there'd be crappie who knows I'm gonna try by these bushes they look so good cause a bluegill i'd spawn right next to that Bush yep there he is first cast big bluegill dude first cast he is so orange wow so pretty he's Fisher big look at my hand huh no not lost in about lost in while showing into the camera well quit doing that you guys aren't gonna see any more he stole my jig so I'm gonna put on another 100 a tick is on my hand dude I wonder how many are on my clothes Wow see ya gosh you did what you even found any dude he was on my hand I don't even know how like on my palm weird all right new Jake hooked back let's catch another one I'm gonna keep fishing next to these little bushes who's got it all dude hooked up second cast second fish this is a big in dude bigger than the last one I think oh yeah giant about the same size now he's bigger Wow look at that look at that fish behind my hand oh my gosh so big when you can lip a bluegill you know it's a big bluegill and take the hook out at the same time oh my gosh that is awesome just a toad Gilly Wow here in the Midwest early June into May is the best time to fish for these spawning bluegill you know give it a try in your lakes as soon as that water gets above 70 degrees these bluegill start moving to the banks looking to spawn and you can just load up on them alright here we go third cast at the bush to fish Oh hooked up third cast it doesn't feel this big though uh-huh take that back another nice kill not quite as big as those last two massive ones definitely a keeper Wow heck yeah dude I'm three for three over here at the bushes you better get over here it's starting to rain a little more Oh hooked up dude I can feel a tick crawling up my leg right now but I gotta get this fish in first oh yeah oh another good one Wow yeah these things are impressing me so much new ponds venture out people look for new places to go that was number eight already Wow just on these little tight lines uv2 inch black and chartreuse grubs with a one sixteenth ounce head and I'm fishing it on eight pound test that way it can fish nice and slow and go buy these bluegill and they have time to eat it now I got that fish in the water there's a tick gone bye-bye right in the lake hope a bluegill eats you feel like I got another one on the leg nope all right here we go next cast see if I can hook up back-to-back oh man I had a bite would have hooked up back-to-back if I to caught that one right there okay hooked up again with another keeper Gilly it is starting to rain a little harder so I'm gonna shut the camera off another tip fish like to bite first hour and last hour of the day they also like to bite when it's raining and the bluegill are spawning the end of May here so everything is just going right and this is the kind of quality bluegill we're catching bluegill you can lip and they're bit as big as your hand or bigger good keepers so me shut the camera off for a little bit and I'll catch up with you guys after I catch a few more okay I just caught the first bluegill I'm gonna throw back by 13 in my bucket out of 20 this is a female look how fat it is for how small it is gonna lay some eggs see ya keep them big bluegill in here lay some more eggs and get fat and we'll keep the big ones let's catch another I finally died down a little bit with the rain so I'm gonna start filming again see if we can get any more my brush piles have kind of died off I've probably taken a bluegill off of them at least on this side I could probably walk around oh I missed one probably walk around the other side and and catch some more but I'm being lazy right now and just fishing this side just got a bite there's one oh I got off hold my jig down I also caught a tiny little bass you guys didn't see it just another little one nothing like that first one I caught a huge plug for tick spray right now I found seven on me and Cody's been out here half an hour longer than me has not found a single tick on him yet oh man these bluegill fights so good what did you say yeah you cast it straight out and call him here's a good one oh yeah I just got another one yeah bite there he is fighter fighter man if I had an ultra-light Pole this would be nuts this one is round Wow another one in the bucket absolutely gorgeous evening the sun's breaking through the clouds that quit sprinkling on us I'm gonna catch one more bluegill you hooked up nice dude slab slab bluegill I need to catch one more and I'm a count see where I'm at I think I might be at my limit with one more bluegill yeah this would be so good through the ice oh I looked up hopefully I get this one in I'll go count see how many I have Manny is fighting so hard Oh stud they're all studs when you can lip them giant alright I'm gonna go count see where I'm at I might be at my limit if so I'll call it today and walk back beautiful night out here at the conservation pond it was unreal caught 20 bluegill keeper bluegill in about 30 40 minutes it's all gonna walk back about 20 minutes with these fish then drive home another 20 minutes flame and by that time they'll be about my bedtime I'm getting old thank you guys for watching as always you got a good stringer wow that one is so big that is so big dude look at him compared to your hand oh my gosh wow that is stupid big dude these are giant bluegill down here and then you look at that
