what is up homies welcome back another trailer reaction from Heroes reforge we're reacting to the official teaser for Captain America Brave New World coming out in February if you want to see youngker reactions for so much Marvel stuff that we've been watching since the launch of this channel check them all out on our patreon we also recently watched Deadpool in anticipation for Deadpool and Wolverine and then we talked about it on the ckins podcast so definitely check that out this week we're going to be doing twister but next week we will be going back to Deadpool and watching Deadpool 2 and then also discussing that and of course we're going to discuss Deadpool and Wolverine when it comes out and then we've got so much more Marvel stuff on the way that we can't even keep track of anymore Agatha all along so be on the lookout we're going to be doing conversations and reactions and all kinds of stuff for all of this really quick my thoughts on Falcon the Winter Soldier I really enjoyed most of that show it was it's really cool that we're getting a follow-up that's a that's a feature film that will be in theaters can't wait to see this IMAX 3D all day every day what are your guys' thoughts about just going into this movie um yeah so Captain uh Captain America and the the Winter Soldier um I felt for the most part present some really great ideas as far as um the direction of cap and what what what we're going to see in the future and like really cool things and getting us really used to Anthony Mackey as the new cap as cap thinking back on that show I can't think of very memorable moments um I know I was a little disappointed by his suit at the end like it just wasn't fit right like I wish they would have just like cuz they've solved that problem with neck issues where the helmet meets the neck and it's just it's been solved and I don't know why Anthony Mackey unfortunately had to suffer through that terrible costume thing going on there but I think I need to rewatch The Show because I'm not like super super pumped right now but I'm hoping that this teaser trailer will get me there what about you yeah it's been a minute when did when did that show come out wasn't it 2021 that show came out I think it was 2021 I think it was the second MCU face 4 show after W division so it it's been 3 years and like Adam said I'm excited that the followup to this is a movie Sam as cap should have always had a movie I know that was always a plan but I think that the show was their opportunity to like well let's explore what some of that meaning is for this black American man to take on this role and I thought that like you said Augustine a lot of great ideas presented in the show I'm a big fan of the of the writer the sort of head writer for that show Malcolm Spelman and I know that he also worked on this movie I don't know if he's the only credited writer I doubt he is but I but I'm like excited to see what that follow through is I'm so excited for Sam Wilson cuz I love this character from the comics love when he was Captain America and I think he is again in the comics it is also really tricky because Marvel doesn't have that many Jewish characters and they brought brought in a Jewish character from Marvel Comics a character named Sabra the problem is is that she is a an Israeli character almost like a super soldier almost like a captain Israel the way that Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson are Captain America the frustrating thing is is I don't know if this movie is going to be able to handle the sort of storyline where you can use a character like that to to talk about and criticize and discuss some realities of our world and what's happening with Israel and Gaza right now which is horrifying so a lot of people are calling for boycotts of the movie and that's been such a bummer because I'm like we finally got Sam his cap we find like he's got his own movie and I know tons of people that are working on this movie are and and the and a bunch of the cast like I'm so excited to see them and I want to support that but I also know the very valid criticisms of like how is Marvel and Disney and these big corporations going to handle that type of character and handle that story line there's been some criticisms towards the actress I don't know if they're valid or invalid I don't know if she was a member in real life of the IDF the same way that galgadot was a member of the Israel Defense Force and people you know in recent in the past year basically have I think learned a lot more thanks to the internet about what's happening over there so people are kind of refocusing and going wait a minute maybe this isn't but I will say that that character from original Marvel Comics was also at times used to the writers were using that character to talk about what's going on there including criticism including you know using that character to be like hey Israel after everything that Jewish people have gone through should not be doing what they're doing and out of all the characters that have like sort of spoken back to her it was like the Hulk like the big green Hulk said something about like I'm green and you're over here and you're killing brown people and you're white and you shouldn't be killing brown people and I'm green and I know that and then he like flew off like it's a silly comic book Marvel thing but it was it was their attempt to try to talk about some real issues yeah I mean I totally understand everybody's concerns about this movie and it's like you guys are saying I'm so excited about so much in it that I'm like God I wish that that wasn't a factor of this film but now we all have to see how it's going to play out I I I do I am not envious of anybody who has to do the press for the like like and has to figure out how to navigate that good luck to you guys but you guys Disney you have all the money in the world so you better figure out how to make the right decision and do the right thing yeah yeah I mean if you reot so if you reshot so much of the movie so many times you mov release so many times you've had plenty of opportunities to address those things reor it rework it to rework Jewish Chara Jewish Marvel characters are great everybody loves the thing and kitty Pride this is a character who shouldn't be written off just because she is Israeli there's something you can still do with that character we'll see what happens let's see all yeah yeah exactly all right let's watch this trailer here we go in 3 2 1 go Harrison for thanks for coming in got a new suit thank you for the invite sir I have to admit I'm still getting used to the new look they said lose the mustache or lose the election huh you and I I haven't always agreed in the past but I want to make another run at making Captain America an official military position no can't do it we dise how to manage a situation then what happen work with Me [Applause] Sam we'll show the world A Better Way Forward oh my God Danny Ramirez I oh no somebody God what no they're framing that man they're framing that man oh he's a fugitive On The Run sick dude let's go wow compromise no no no no no no there there's something sneaky peeky going on yeah what is trap Torres power is sh Samuel Sterns Sam Stern you're just a [Music] pawn oh wow you may be Captain America but you're not SK Rogers you godamn right you're right I'm not that's right that's what's right that's right exactly damn dude yo that fo broke the sound barrier dude how did his neck not snap y there he is and the Red Hulk the Red Hulk shows his son of a [ __ ] just right off the top of my head the first thing I'm thinking about is obviously the Red Hulk because that's the big teas at the end obviously we know it's going to be Thunderbolt Ross if I remember correctly I think that not only are they bringing back th Thunderbolt Ross but they're also bringing back Li Tyler's character from Hulk from Incredible Hulk right so if that's the case wouldn't it make sense that Mark Ruffalo ends up showing up in this movie as the Hulk as well yes am I jumping to conclusion no that would if if Ruffalo were to show up in any Marvel thing that's that's coming down the the the pike here for the next couple years this is probably the best bet but uh this is not a Hulk movie this is a Sam Wilson movie which is so interesting and it could lead to a we might see Banner you know just a Ruffalo Cameo like a post credit scene or something to kind of continue this Hulk Centric characters with Sam Sterns and Ross and Li Tyler's character Betty Ross it would also make sense that Ruffalo is that Banner Bruce Banner isn't involved in this because as far as we know he is with his cousin Jennifer he has a son and he's full smart Hulk mode I think it's really smart for them to have Ross be the president and Ross be the Red Hulk and this is the type of stuff that Sam has to go up against because I love that anger that CED racist that Ross throws at Sam he goes you might be Captain America you're not Steve Rogers right there's shots there's shots where he's on the podium and it's like very blue lit and it's just Harrison Ford giving the most diabolical look but it's so subtle that you look you go oh yeah I know where this is going that that's that Harrison Ford look I've seen that in the very few movies where he's play kind of a shady character I know that look exactly and he's play think the most man in the world to turn into a big red monster is um is is very very on the very on the nose and Sam has to like contend with that but yes Adam to answer your question I do think continuing Ross's storyline and having him be red Hulk is right from the comics and Samuel Sterns the leader is in the mix and we know that Abomination is still in play Tim Roth was in she right will this dovetail into Thunderbolts and are they going to change the name to like dark Avengers or something and will the Thunderbolts include mean you know right why called Thunderbolts aren't they named after a thunderbolt Ross originally in the comics no but in the movies they might do that and recruit Abomination and continue a Hulk storyline hopefully to fulfill Augustine's dreams of a solo Hulk movie World War Hulk right not even just a solo Hulk movie A Trilogy we need a trilogy could happen it could happen so I didn't actually put that together until you mentioned it but yeah now that I'm thinking about the title and now that it's been not retitled but they add that asterisk at the end you you know that that whatever happens in this movie because it precedes Thunderbolts that whatever the outcome is of that movie it's going to affect what happens in that film so having fun with the title I think is a is a smart way to kind of be like oh well you you you don't know the full story yet you'll find out in February when we retitle the movie or whatever one thing I also did not notice which I saw Danny Ramirez in the uh beginning of the trailer but there's a very quick shot of him and Sam flying through the sky so that's cool that yeah the trailer yeah there's a very quick shot at the very end when Sam plows through the through the F18 that it's a quick shot of of Captain America and the Falcon so that's cool that he officially gets his wings and that will see see his character fly in the sky I really liked him in Top Gun Maverick and he was great in to in the winner soldier so it's great to see that they're expanding all of those characters more so and then damn taking over Isaiah like brainwashing isaah that's so racist to FR that man it's so crazy yeah this this movie's got a lot like it feels charged like politically charged in the way that people of color have to kind of experience politics a little bit different than anybody else has to um and I think that's smart to do given that we have a cap that people are saying not my cap and we know why right and so this movie has a lot on its shoulders given that we have to it's like the M it's like in the movie Selena where uh Selena's dad goes we got to be we got to be more Mexican than the Mexicans and we got to be more white than the white people like it's it's that kind of thing right like we got to be as twice as good on both sides of the spectrum um and I feel like this movie has a lot writing on it but that all being said I feel like just just right off the bat I feel like this movie has some kind of of like an edge or like some kind of like an energy to it that I feel like they're going to do it right and I feel like they thought about it a lot there's something about it where I'm just like oh this feels like they're coming out with their teeth out almost they're just like all right we're going to have [ __ ] to say and you guys are going to listen and this is what's going to happen with cap and you're going to like it by the end of this movie uh so I feel like that I that's just like the overall energy that I got I can't wait till the next teaser I'm sorry to the next trailer I'm I'm sure it's going to give us a few more clarifying things about what's going to happen but uh yeah it's it all looks very promising to me super promising I really like the direction they're going I agree and a very good tease for Red Hulk the first time we're seeing this character I've I already saw uh people online talking about how like people that are very very online have have been talking about this movie and and know these characters and they're comic book fans and they know these characters but like this trailer is probably going to be attached to Deadpool and Wolverine in a couple weeks this trailer is probably going to be seen first time by most people in that trailer attached to that movie and most people probably don't know there's a red Hulk so I don't know how like when we saw it I was like and there we were like and there he is there's our guy we knew that this was possible but I think audiences are gonna go whoa what there's a why is he mad and just replicate some of the excitement when that character first appeared in comics in like 2008 you know it was a mystery of who that character was could Red Hulk be John Carlos bosito in this movie I don't know could he be Ross I have a feeling he is like you said Austine it's charged man there's a lot to play with in this and I love love the tone of this trailer the fact that they made Sam this fugitive from this forces in the white house or whatever and he has to jump out this window I'm like this is a classic Captain America story he goes against more often than not whatever the [ __ ] US government is asking him to do that's the point of that character I love that that's what they're doing with this character so I'm really excited I'm really hopeful for this movie and I'm excited for everybody that that it can be done right still trepidacious about how they're going to handle this Sabra character she's in we saw her in the trailer she looks like she could be an ally a badass a villain we don't know but I'm happy for finally Mackey's getting his own movie and it looks dope dude yeah and Tom Holland can't make fun of him anymore so it's perfect right right right well Tom Holland's had three going on for solo Spidey movies he's like 100 cameos at this point cameos yeah and also you know as as we know having worked on Marvel films and this is something that's been going on forever and it will continue to probably go on forever especially with how much it seems to be like they've been retooling a lot of the MCU in the last like 12 months or so uh this film has had quite a bit of re-shoot and I don't know if it's more than any other Marvel movie or most Marvel movies if it's the exact same amount or if those re-shoot were to strengthen the story strengthen the script change things address certain things that maybe people want the movie and hope the movie addresses I don't want to say that the movie will have anything to say about this it is very possible that it could that that it could but it's also very interesting that the movie comes out literally right after an election right after we choose a president maybe that's strategic maybe it's not maybe there will be some things that will be lightly addressed you never know with Marvel like sometimes they they are willing to go there and and make a statement or take a stance on something sometimes not you never know but it's just something that I that I was like oh interesting comes out February you know election then Janu you know so it's who knows it's all up in the air but it will be interesting to see what exactly Brave New World means not just to Sam Wilson but also to the Marvel Cinematic Universe you know having Ross become the president it's we I feel like we've had so many changeovers when it comes to who is running the United States during the tenure of the Avengers that you kind of don't care and you don't really think about it but now you know with certain things happening what kind of state is the country in how has it been politically run like I feel like we get little glimpses into it as I've been slowly like rewatching the MC they have never really touched on it I feel like maybe Iron Man 3 has been the most direct of like actually involving a president so yeah I'm curious to see if they're if they're going to maybe help with this movie kind of establish where are we at what is the world exactly like because we've been so hyperfocused on these small characters Falcon Winter Soldier did it a little bit to a certain extent but I would like to kind of see like yeah who is running everything how is the United States and the world operating after what's happened since endgame because we were also like how many like what year is this in is it 2026 2027 2028 how much of it does it parallel our own timeline or does this take place right after the Falcon and the Winter Soldier which was supposed to be in like 2024 like exactly so I'm curious about like all of all of those things but of course the most important thing is going to be what is Sam's story what is wiin torres's Arc in this movie what happens to Isaiah and obviously how does Thunderbolt Ross play into all of it and all those like little things but it does have Light Winter Soldier Vibes which I appreciate because I love winter soldier so I I just hope that it does write by Sam Wilson by Captain America and that it like you're saying Augustine it's got this energy and I wanted to propel Marvel into this new not even phase cuz we're still in the Multiverse Saga we're still in Phase five but I just want everyone to be able to walk out of this movie and go like great collectively we feel good about it we feel like it's in a good place we feel like forward they've got something to say exactly so those are my and dreams for for this film cuz you know why would anyone want a movie to be bad oh my god dude that evil Harrison Ford clap like it's so it's so malicious I love it yeah it's so evil it's like it's like the evil like the evil kind of like a handwave or something like that yeah it's it's this guy knows this guy knows how to put out the bad vibes this guy Harrison Ford knows how to be a baddy for sure for sure and right now is the perfect time cuz I feel like I need to rewatch Captain and the winner and the Winter Soldier now why can't I say that so I'm going to go back and rewatch all our reactions to it because that's uh there I ain't got time to watch the entire show but I'll rewatch our reaction you sure want to 4K Blu-ray I got you right here baby we're the cliff notes we're the refresher I like that I will buy it yeah yeah yeah yeah but of course guys let us know your
