[Music] when you buy a major appliance do you also take the warranty i mean sometimes it's a good deal and sometimes it's not a good deal as you'll see in our next candid scene you're familiar with extended warranties on cars and they're really big appliances like these but we sent linda and the candid camera staff to a sporting goods store to see just how much shoppers really care about warranties let's watch did you want the warranty on the water repellent what's the warranty oh we offer you know product warranty for uh for the water repellent just in case you know anything breaks repairs need to be done i'm all right yeah really yeah just gonna spray it on my jacket but you know there's a lot of things that could go wrong i mean what if something happens with this little portion or the seal here i'm okay we can repair that for you i'm okay yeah i mean like pay for a warranty on underwear yeah that's a new one on me because that cost me the warranty yeah yeah i don't think so oh it's really it's a bargain though i mean you know these are just 12.99 yeah and so the warranty is only you know two dollars for six months and it covers me for what well you know in case there's any flaw we repair anything um so if this were to run or maybe see no don't worry about it okay but thank you for offering it to me sure it's a baseball bat it's not like i'm buying a fishing pole if it's cold you would get the warranty for the fishing floor yeah yeah but not the baseball bat i don't know no not for t-ball it's an aluminum bat it's not going anywhere warranty on the headband no that's okay really yeah because this is you know it's it's knit so there could be any number of what if it snags it's too big for your head maybe i don't know that's okay not interested because it's it's inexpensive on this one it's just 15 cents for the warranty for six months of course well okay give me the six months well hey we sold a 15 cent warranty but now linda moves from the sporting goods store to a pharmacy so let's see what happens did you want the warranty on this toothpaste warranty yeah what do we want to do no it's a warranty on the product actually i've never heard of that oh yeah well i know about warranties but i mean honestly the toothpaste sure you're kidding no you know if we needed to repair it for you a tube or two is dollar 19. well actually the tube of toothpaste is a dollar nineteen but the warranty is fifty cents oh no for a six month warranty really but wow wait what if i've been playing for 30 years it's a good deal actually you know they're 1.79 for each firelog but you can get a six month warranty for a dollar to do what well in case there's anything wrong with it if it needs to be repaired or replaced it burns in three hours it's gone we're talking about a disposable fire log and we're gonna take a warranty on something that is a dollar seventy nine you know they're 99 cents so the six month warranty is only 15 cents how could you go wrong yeah sounds like a good idea yes okay great i'll give you one thing though if you could just give me a great big smile look over there you're on candid camera the warranty makes it great because you know then we can repair it say that the packaging is is off you know maybe ripped in one corner we can patch that for you pam this is absolutely ridiculous i feel like i'm on i have to be [Applause] sure [Applause] boy oh that was one of the purest candid camera surprises i think we've ever had yeah the news just spread across that woman's face as beautifully as her smile [Music] smile you're on camera [Music]
