Candid Camera Classic: Returned Parts.

[Music] in many states laws require that all parts removed from a car must be returned to the owner so we thought we'd return a whole bunch of strange parts that didn't come from any customer's car the scene is an auto dealership with a busy service department peter is stationed at the repair counter where people come to pick up their car after service but service may not be the right word for what happens next watch did he take him out no no he brought it over he's a runner from the other side so this is yours my car run without this why my car will run without this i truly think so but you might find that you won't get that uh that smell anymore what did that why did they take this out to begin with it was viewed as extraneous by our people oh so not even necessary then counterproductive to the smooth operation of your vehicle so we don't need this okay got it that's our theory it just looks like a big piece to not having a cocaine it's a theory okay we also uh found this in your car uh which would seem to be a brand new uh belt yeah it's brand new and it's never been used and i'm returning this to you in your car under the hood but i'm returning it yes i know you're returning it and i will need your initials right here to indicate that you did receive that bill what's that now why do i why do they take that out my god apparently you were getting a warning light yeah well they took it out are they going to reinstall that though no but that light won't bother you anymore it's it's removable i understand that but i like that light because it's what gave me the indication to come here yeah these came out of your vehicle sir in the course of doing your brake job these parts were removed all right all right yeah i don't take them well we really shouldn't release the car to you unless you take these things are you telling me you don't want them i'm telling you there's as far as i'm concerned is jumping toward the trunk and what i need i don't know i can't understand why in the course of fixing your brakes that they needed to take that off yeah and let me see if we have anything else no it was just there was just this one other piece what is that this is a clemens connector and it was in your car so i'm going to have to have you sign for that it's like when i'm in the tv studio i look for that warning light it's a red light right on the camera and that tells me when i'm on did you ever see that no yes but they do have that like you right now if you look in that direction and smile you're on candid camera you are my name is peter fund actually um the bill has a strange notation on it something about the candid camera tv show my name is peter fund from canada no no no no you've got a great smile thank you very much are you always so easy going oh yeah say man don't sweat the small stuff you find out why you want to walk around you know upset frustrating old smoking would you be willing to share that thought with america i would good look at that yellow light right there and give me one more of your great smiles you're on candid camera and i'm so happy to meet you [Music] you're sir camera
