Oh, yeah. That sounds... Is that Plasma? I'm going through the Plasma. Plasmaaaa! Hey, today we're looking at album art that we've never seen before. It came from a viewer of this channel. We've never heard the music on this album. We know nothing about it, just the album art. And we're gonna try and create what we think the music is that goes with this art, and then we'll see how close we get. Should we look at it? Okay. I know we can make something cool with this. Yeah, I don't know what music this is, but I know I like it. It's like spanning so much time, because you got the dinosaur, you got this robot face. This is definitely like, you're gonna use crazy synth noises. But the rest of it feels like a western from like prehistoric times. There's some country guitar on this. There's gotta be country guitar on this album, right? But there's crazy synths on top, and like it's goofy and colorful and fun. Well, definitely fun, but does it have a dark edge to it? What does "que pasa" mean? It means like, "what's going on?" Oh, but what is that? Is that like the record label? Or...? Maybe it's just for fun, just a little dinosaur being like, what's up? Oh, dude, this is the artist, so 'Que Pasa' is probably the song name. Curb Service is the band, Geno G is the vocalist. Can I just do like an aggressive rap on this about like riding dinosaurs and killing other dinosaurs? Yeah, love it. We can go from western feeling to heavy, right? Like chuggy? That feels like it would fit too. It's some blend between like country and hard metal. Yeah-- With a little electronic sprinkle. Yeah, okay, so here it is. We start writing with resonator guitar and a wild synth. Yeah, let's try some. Let's get in there. Maybe Geno G just starts all his rap verses with saying "que pasa", like "what's going on?" And then goes into "What's going on? I'm riding a dinosaur." Or maybe I get a slide? I just want to slide with you. ♪ I just want to slide with you ♪ Ooh, this is the chorus, dude. I'm feeling more minor with it. Oh yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, and if you're sliding that. Oh man, this might... Th-- ugh-- This slide is a... Do we have some like Vaseline or something? This slide... I might be a slide guitar player permanently if I put this on. Oh, and it could be like one of those things where then the bass just does it. And then Geno G comes in and we just have like splurts of noise, know what I mean? Oh yeah. That's the one. Yeah, one, two, three, four. Okay, cool. Yeah, I like that. Ooh, we could just also do it with pauses where it's like, bunch of other stuff here for the verse, all right, yeah, lots of space. Do you want me to get on drums for us to track this? Yeah. Yeah, that makes sense. Let's do it. Three, four... Bwom bwom-nom. Oh dude, dude, straight boom bap. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I think before we go back to the chorus, some space where it's just open and then the beat is heavier when you hear it again. But we need like a full 16 for Geno of just straight boom-bap. Yeah. Is Geno doing two verses? Like it's always Geno every verse? And maybe the band does the chorus? Instrumental chorus? But I think we should say "que pasa" in the chorus. The title is 'Que Pasa'. The title is 'Que Pasa' and the verses are, "What's going on? I'm riding a f***ing dinosaur." It really does feel like that. Here's what it is. You're like a time traveler. That's the robot face. Yeah, yeah. You're the robot face. Oh, maybe, okay, maybe the robot speaks English. I feel like the dinosaurs are part of the planet. "What's going on? Que pasa?" And you're like... There's the dinosaur bones and it makes me feel like he killed one, but maybe he brought the bones too. They like traveled to Earth from some other planet where robots and dinosaurs are still around. AI and the dinosaurs teamed up... But then who's Geno G? I think Geno G is the robot. There's only one character on the cover, so unless the triceratops is in the band. I think the triceratops is just like a horse... and I don't think they're contributing much creatively. It's an amazing sentence. Okay, I think we figured out a lot of things here. - Yeah--
- We got to write the music now. Now we got to actually do the music. Play the electric while I'm tracking the drums so there's no bleed, and then we'll get the resonator on its own. Let's get a click. Oh, yeah! That sounds...is that Plasma? I'm going through the Plasma! Plasmaaa! Three, four... That was it. That was it! - Okay--
- I think I missed a symbol somewhere, but we can-- That's fine. Hit a symbol right now. Nice. You want to lay down bass? I should go with resonator guitar, actually, because that's more... That's more core to the song. Yeah, do that and bass, though, for sure, and I'll just do lyrics. Yeah, we got to get going on that. Awesome. Que pasa? Let's take a quick break.
