Camila Cabello Gets Ready for the VMAs | Vogue

this is the red carpet yep so we're gonna try this on just kidding we're New York City and today is the final day but my VMAs fitting before the VMAs so uh so here we have my beautiful amazing stylist everio and beautiful amazing assistant Jill and today what are we doing ladies we were gonna find me at me yeah gonna find these VMA look season so when Marielle showed me the options that um she had for the VMAs this one really stuck out to me because it's just very romantic she's kind of where I am in life right now because the performance looks which we have to decide which color yep and the after-party look which I'm going to dance much a shop with so should we begin sure you try on let's do it so this is um I really really like it yeah right I'm actually so excited this is my favorite red carpet dress I've ever worn so far well this dress is bomb on and we really love Olivier he's an amazing designer and we're super excited to have her wearing it I think it's your first time wearing it I think so yeah so I feel like it's like perfect for the summer and it's actually just how I want to feel on the carpet like I just want to feel bring out differences yeah exactly so much if I seen this happening totally it's like not a lot for the Sanyo deep that performance with Shawn at Robin Mario did this really cool thing where they took inspiration from the seniority the music video at the end where we're dancing in the bar as you know people do and about casually I think we're just gonna figure out today if it should be in black or white I have predict favourites gonna be the white let's try on the white I think you're right yes it's literally like a a pearlized version of the video mm-hmm we're going to do elect this what there's no isn't ready there's lots of things to think about when I am still performing and you for wardrobe we try to make sure that there's no like snafu situations which there's always the possibility of a situation Anisa I mean all of it can be like getting stuck in your shoe which I'm scared about I think probably the most negative in here is the pearls snatching onto this but like we only do I want to just commit to it and it'll pull right off yeah if it was so super snappy right now like I don't wanna be oh yeah totally yeah I think it's I think your nips are safe this isn't my after party outfit which I'm first going to take to Shake Shack burger because after the show right I've no yeah not during the show that would be a mess she would kill me yeah I love this dress I've actually I never wear stuff like this like it's just so just kind of like baggy and loose and chill I love it so yeah I'll see you guys there everybody it is at VMAs day oh you're wondering what is this cute little adorable thing that I am holding the name is Eugene Fitzherbert all right this is my motor Alma motor my mother yeah yeah well me Eugene Fitzherbert is the name of the Prince entangled and I really like to name all my dogs after Disney characters except that my first two dogs I never really named the name the Mo's mostly my sisters so this is the first one I'm getting today I'm actor Disney Prince but every dog in the future will be named after a Disney Prince let's get in the car and do the VMAs see you at the Prudential Center no clue [Music] I can no tell there's some things in love it change you say we're just friends all the way so we are at the Prudential Center this is my wonderful incredible miracle one thing go I am - I am Patrick tall I makeup artist Jimmy tree ad G&A toes on Instagram the first time I remember my name and Kim Kim at nails is doing my nails today you know what I tried to do a lot of different things with my nails and I realized I just keep coming back to French tip Dmitri helps me set up like cuz I told him I really wanted this curly hair and he helps me set up like my perm and like put in for performance I'd like to do a couple different things I like to like wake up and listen and listen to something inspiring I do a lot of like breathing I do like a 15 minute meditation that helps me so much because it helps me from not going here it just keeps me like releasing the energy and it depends like I just saw the dress rehearsal and I saw some parts that I was like I could have sounded better so I'm just like listening to it over and over again and trying to like memorize you know trying to just like picture me on stage remembering the things I need to remember come another let me fall [Music] mm I make like playlists and just put songs that make me feel like empowered sometimes I look up like some of my favorite performances like just to get inspired I have so many different songs on a material girl Madonna make me feel Janelle Monae bad girls mi a like a virgin Like a Prayer like a Madonna a lot of latin songs queen don't stop me now better not Louis the child have a lot of different songs on here my height playlist tonight I'm performing a senior detail with Sean it's the first time we're performing the song live which will be really cool we haven't performed together for a few years now must have been last summer where he like sent me the idea for the song and he was like oh my gosh do you want to do this with me and I thought it was super cool and I was literally like a few months of back and forth but I couldn't this I literally lost sleep over it because I was like oh my god like I think I do want to do it and maybe I don't whatever and so there just came upon where we like let's just go in the studio let's just like sing it and just see how we feel and if it feels right we do it if we don't know pressure it's all good and so yeah we went in the studio and just kind of like figured it out and then film the video like a week and a half after the performance tonight is really just very kind of simple and real it's just us two on stage and just like beautiful cozy lights if I wasn't nervous I feel like it would actually make the performance worse I think when you have nerves and you use them as like a fuel and as a fire it always makes my performance better so it's almost like that makes me less nervous I just breathe it and I raise the pajama so if you have no choice just you gotta do it you gotta do it well you have no choice so I'm here with my laptop and the woman who gave birth to me she made me with him this year I feel a lot more like I don't know in tune with myself then I then I did last year like I just feel less stressed less self-conscious and more just kind of like just kind of want to be myself today you know just be present and just enjoy my cute outfit clothes in 40 minutes we gotta go this isn't my red carpet outfit thank you so much book for following me all day I'll see you out there [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you [Music]
