for all right hello everybody good to see you all spider hey welcome welcome chat who how many of you were here for uh jacob's stream yesterday i heard he had a good time with it bookworms abound nice i'm guessing you're referring to jacob's dream yesterday any of the other sports besides obviously ultimate frisbee excited cfb is coming back tomorrow i uh it's rough um oh man like when the olympics was on there was some things that i was watching but like not really not really no like i'm not really a sports guy specifically like i i've watched sports over the years but i don't really have anything outside of ultimate frisbee i'm really passionate about so that's a weird one you're staying at a train station when the stream started yeah okay cool yeah unfortunately you weren't able to be there but yeah yeah the the stream did sound cool all i managed to join near the end okay uh a question often if all do you guys collab to prep the indie campaigns you don't play together like how does one practice yet well well so like what what will generally happen is we won't do it with regards to campaign prep because jacob doesn't usually dm he likes to play and i prefer to dm so if anything i'll ask him about like rules clarifications and like little ideas and stuff like that but what he'll come to me about is he'll be like hey check out this cool build idea that i came up with and he'd be like like what what do you think would be like a cool like aesthetic for this or something and then i'll give them ideas and stuff like that but it's it's actually pretty pretty insulated in that regard because a lot of times we just play together and then it's a thing of where we don't want to um give away the surprise of something that we're uh specifically uh specifically setting up like he's he's gonna he's gonna love them so much it's it's gonna be a good time but we're here for dark souls 2 and we're on a bit of a a bit of a mystery kick we got some info from the dragon from the queen and we are searching for withered old trees that are keys to memories of the past of the war between uh king vendrick and his people and the giants but we must uh we must uh just explore and i kind of like that the game is basically saying hey go look around go find these things you should have seen a couple of them but go find them i'm like okay okay i know where at least one other one is in my head but how i got there i'm gonna have to figure that out in game uh this is gonna be uh this is gonna be a unique experience level 149 just under 40 hours in game two oh the keyblade yeah that was hilarious okay bearer of the until hope has fully withered yes if you find an estus so that i yeah okay cool and no i don't have any of that let's check this no nothing there okay so we know that the trees are in the lands of the giants death counter thank you thank you which by the way the death counter is going to need to be majorly updated in terms of what it is uh for y'all in uh oh oh oh yeah well that's gonna be fun feel free to do it uh uh over the course of time or or what have you so you have to do it now is that oh that little sliver of light almost looked like a summon sign okay now it would be fun to try a bit of a twist on things here and just walk to the forest the fallen giants but you know just to kind of have a bit of a nostalgia trip but that's not really necessary because i can go to the bonfire that's like right here and that's essentially having like walks to the entrance yeah runs on thank you very much i am i am proud of myself like so much not only like beating that area but but beating it all with only dying to gravity and the one time before i even entered the spider's lair okay okay let's find the trees all right i'll wait for you to special soul of the giant require numerous souls or to create something of great worth um i don't think there was anything else i got other than there was there's another soul that i got was it oh right it was another one of these okay cool still want to know what these are oh that's reallocation of points yeah yeah of course of course um right uh i think you're dragging things to the best players and this will rise above this petticoat oral existence oh okay interesting yeah yeah i think that's it uh we got a couple weapons though and check those real quick grand lance that's what i got yeah nice seals up the finest makes so rare the very few weapons huge combat okay that's so it's cool it's cool um sure okay okay if we get any big weapons or anything like that i don't think there's anything else we got we got a key thank you thank you yes it'd get a key giants kinship grants access to the throne room beneath the castle oh okay each king has his rightful throne and when he sits upon it he sees what he chooses to see or perhaps it is the throne which shows the king only what he wants the flames roar but will soon begin to fade and only a worthy air might burnish their light what is it truly a claimant to the throne could desire oh jed all right all right and we have a fire seat as well so prey return to the majula sands sorry master hand i did it again is it dlc time yet i don't know guys that is a good question is it close to dlc time cool we have maxed out our pyromancy flame i'm always here kind of kind of i believe in dark souls 2 you can still do dlc after beating the final boss really there's still optional bosses in main game left too oh so we could do like eventually once we get to it like a like a like a oh go back and find this boss you you left them we can guide you to the spot that they're they're at or something is tales of berseria good story-wise yeah yeah it has some pacing issues uh in the like like like spots here and there but i love the characters for for an rpg it's it's fantastic all right um hmm endurance is op but it doesn't give us that much get a lot of health [Music] get like 90 health potentially um actually hold on it might just make sense to level up strength right just because we technically do scale from it for our weapon huh it is just damage hmm let's check adaptability [Music] it's okay [Music] okay so at eight we get another five to our fire bonus and we've gained two more cast speed here we gain another five so we could give theoretically 10 to our fire bonus by doing um here and then here 105 agility is worth it right here okay sure i'll i'll do that it's fine what is the [Music] that gives us a decent amount of stuff but nothing crazy so then i'll do i'll do this [Music] let me see if i have um uh some souls cause i don't think i do yeah i don't really know okay um i'm really surprised we've gone through all this game and i haven't found anyone that i can sell [ __ ] to that's that is very true very good point uh intel intellect based stuff we can get rid of that um that's fine yeah uh we'll keep the faith stuff just in case short bow is pointless this bow is pointless espo maybe yeah with a shield crossbow well heavy yeah okay all right so now we get rid of a whole bunch of duplicate shields all right um anything chat you guys can think of as like oh definitely sell like all those i have a bunch of mail breakers yeah i have a rapier i don't um we have a bunch of katanas which we don't need keep two for the dual wielding i don't know i don't think i'm necessarily going to uh care too much about that we can delete this one cause we have an enchanted one sell um big axes since we're not going strength oh yeah that's that's fair and even the wimpy axes too you two of the same weapon okay all right i will i'll sell this club at least yeah i don't want that i either tell there's a poise boosting ring no i'm i'm good uh he he's he's he's playing on his own time just for fun so yeah uh i don't need the great swords i mean i mean i could get the 28 strength but that scaling is so bad yeah i'll sell them both yeah gotta keep the black knight stuff don't sell the boss weapons i don't need scimitars i have this warped sword here which is basically a better scimitar sell dark souls 2. yes yes exactly um we've got a bunch of wimpy shields here and sell a whole bunch of those uh [Music] okay i think that's it for there so let's let's get rid of some armor because holy [ __ ] we have so much pointless armor here yeah all these and it goes all the way over to here so yeah let's just sell all our holo [ __ ] oh cool and got a whole bunch of these you don't care about this set okay um a bunch of prisoners stuff those dropped pretty frequently so we'll just sell them all uh what's this one yeah this one might be a unique item so let's hold on to that peasant stuff we'll hold on to those two of these we don't need to all right here we go all the aloneness stuff uh right this one's unique so let's hold on to that whoa now that sound of him drinking is actually kind of like like almost like an asmr sound oh yeah this this this getup actually but with this mask looks like it could be pretty cool um keep all the bengal stuff the drangleic stuff cause that stuff looked that stuff looked it um anakin stuff yeah we'll keep that rogue hood okay uh let's sell a bunch of this [ __ ] yeah i don't think i'm gonna want this it's supposed to say it says it says the fabric is reinforced with pyromancy but is that really mechanically true or is that just a just something said for flavor because that doesn't feel doesn't feel right it has an actual effect if it will tell you if it has an actual effect it'll tell you that's what i would assume d0 but i found that's actually not the case case in point i'll show you something cool i found where is it um let me put this into uh yeah let me put this into equipment here this helmet here secretly boosts your maximum uh vitality you can see that it brings my max vitality up from 55 to 58. see doesn't say on the item though this one also does it 1.6 uh yeah it's kind of a kind of a rare thing but still it's kind of cool that it does that yeah okay so we got a ton of souls for that um i'm nervous always about selling inventory stuff but there are definitely some things that um there are definitely some things that uh make sense to sell first and foremost uh these we like i don't i don't i don't i don't need so let's sell them all and i'm sure that if i need more for any reason i can find a spot to go farm them these um yeah we don't need that and we don't need this either god there's so many souls okay um how about something we have a lot of that we definitely don't really need need oh these lucky coins i should have been using these some of your gear boosts uh spell uses okay i'll uh i'll look into uh into that depends on what you're trying to farm oh okay okay um blocks estus recovery this is a pvp thing like i'm sure there are yeah i'll sell these i don't i don't need those uh rubbish wow um do i need bonfire aesthetics though like do i really need these because i don't think i do they they seem kind of they seem kind of more just for like maybe need wait what why would i okay unless it's a spoiler don't tell me but like would i need more than two oh they're for bosses oh so because you jump up to new game plus if you're in a zone that has a boss actually keep four oh keep like a specific number oh [ __ ] okay right right i understand the souls part but i don't think we're in a play through where we're going to need more souls really this is more just doing this for the completionist in me to see how high level we can get without you know farming oh they'll drop higher level rings too oh that's a cool little that's a cool little detail okay okay so there's there's reason to keep them i'll hold on to all of them then just just in case um yeah keep those arrows might as well rings now this is the interesting part i would want to keep all the rings i would think but i have ones that are plus ones and plus twos of their version so i don't need the duplicates right like i only need the strongest versions yeah so like this one definitely would sell yep yep because you can't equip more than uh one of the same type i mean they give nothing but it's like yeah you know why why not and it's not like if they break i can never get that item back it's just like okay sure i like how covenant ones you can't sell it's like not wait we you know oh really dark souls 3 is the easiest one i've never heard that from anyone i've heard that dark souls 1 is the easiest one like like that is that is a weird take like like like already having like gone through a majority of this game and thinking back on the idea of playing it through again versus dark souls one oh oh one is a joke now compared to uh um in my mind and that's maybe just because i've played it already like through like i don't know like three times in total and then like through certain bosses like 20 times you know [Music] cat must go no oh that's right you don't really have anything good so i guess i'm not gonna really miss you uh flying feline boots do we buy them just to say goodbye no i haven't beat the game i'm just uh i've gone through um and found an npc that i missed from forever ago and uh kind of debating right now which way to advance because the the way that i've been told to go is drangleic castle and i believe i would go specifically here to get to the uh the throne room because i i still haven't found uh vendrick yet i'm assuming vendrick is uh most likely the the final boss um let's check back with um check back in with the queen though trees though that's true i do know i do know where another oh she's gone she's gone well then okay um my guess my guess is that she's left to go behind her corresponding fog gate that's my uh it's my guess so if that's the case that's my guess then we just go over here and open up this uh this door right yep wait or did i already open this door wait i'm going crazy yeah i've already it's kind of it's kind of hilarious uh oh those are slightly better in that regard i'm gonna lose souls by doing that but i don't need to equip the bow that's something wow yeah i have very very flimsy gear in that regard you don't need the shield either that is true that is true yep the shield is just actively slowing me down and we could just get stuff that gives me more physical it gives me a roughly equivalent amount of fire resistance 29 though i guess these are the best but about the chest what's this a little captain armor uh [Music] too heavy and 66. ah if i'm gonna get knocked at least up to 20. we could leave a tunement at six wait no no no we need we need a slot we need literally one slot yes we need one slot guaranteed yeah yeah let's pump endurance up to 30. sure uh we here and we check to see what is the deal with upgrading the armor that would have the best setup or more fire resist can't do twinkling tight knight necessarily because that's you know limited so of where if the side content is something that basically leads towards kind of like a guided stream i'd rather dedicate the entire stream to that because it has to do with how the highlights are created so it it makes less sense to give the highlight editor something that's like oh here's where caleb like suddenly changes the uh of course the stream for like a specific thing there like that's
