foreign [Music] foreign [Music] welcome back to outdoors with the Morgans I'm coming to you from Wild and wonderful West Virginia today I'm down here at the cabin and it is a beautiful day this morning I was over in Deep Creek Maryland you'll see a video in the next couple days I was over at Tri-State gazebo uh that Danny Miller they're starting to sell uh like timber frame Pavilions that are just absolutely beautiful so they're putting together a display model over there today and uh actually they're building it all on site and I wanted to go check that out because I always had a lot of questions when it comes to uh timber frame stuff you know dry versus green and just how they go about it and how they do it I learned a lot this morning and uh hopefully I can share some of that in an upcoming video so that was pretty cool and then I came over here to the property I brought the LX with the brush hog we're going to brush hog some Trails it's amazing how just over the last couple weeks things really started to grow around here I was just here just a couple days ago I brought plumber Jim with me brought him down he checked things out loved it down here we were making some plans for the plumbing and the septic for the shower house the that will be coming I don't know probably about a month or so have a lot of work to do before it gets here but that'll be coming up and we'll get the shower house done get the wiring and everything done insulated and then we'll start on the tongue and groove on the inside the wiring is going to be very minimal here uh not a whole lot to it Plumbing that's all on plumber gym he had all kind of ideas I was trying to remember everything that he said which I did not but he's just going to tell me what to get I'll get it and we'll come down and get it all done now the shower house it's going to sit perpendicular to the cabin and it has a dormer on the roof on this side it'll face out this way and to give you some idea how big it'll be the cabin is 14 by 28 and the shower house will be 10 by 12. so it won't be real big but I got to get rid of all this stuff I mean that's technically not in the way but I need to get that all cleaned up get this pile of dirt moved grade this up in here that big white pine tree massive white pine tree that needs to come down that's going to be a little tricky but I already have some qualified help lined up to help with that that's definitely a two or three man job right there then we're going to have to pour another concrete pad off of this one for the shower house to sit on and we'll have a little hallway from the cabin right here somewhere is right in here right over to the shower house that's the plan for that but yeah that tree there I mean it's technically not in a way but it would be towering right over top of everything so we need to take that one down shouldn't be a big deal I mean we can get it to fall that way but I should probably get some of this stuff moved over here first because I'm afraid if you drop that over there hits that pile rolls this direction I don't think it would hit the cabin but this needs to get cleaned up anyway and I think some of this dirt over here I can bring around the back side of the patio and I need to fill in over here on this side just a little bit it's bone dry down here now but if you remember heck it wasn't even a month ago I had a puddle in here and had a bunch of water running down here over by the tractor so we need to cut some swales do a couple things to take care of that uh it was actually good to be down here that day because that was pretty much the worst case scenario it rained for couple days straight had snow all that kind of stuff so that was probably about as wet as it's going to get down here but anyway that's the story on all that this afternoon I may have already mentioned we're going to brush hog some trails and I also bought a couple things that I'm looking forward to trying out here I got three yeah three of these spy point cell cameras and Levi got them all set up at home for me they worked at home I just tested them out down here I was a little concerned because uh cell service is very sketchy here I do have two bars but I just tested them out here and they're sending them right to my phone which is going to be just awesome I can't wait to see everything that's going on down here when I'm not here I have several regular trail cameras and we always get pictures of deer coyote Fox a couple bear but I'm gonna set yeah three of these cell cameras up it seems like the sweet spot for wildlife is is just right up there about a hundred yards I don't know what it is about that spot but the camera I have way in the back it looks like it's in a really good spot I mean you see some trails and it looks like there's a lot of activity there but that one way in the back I'll get like 15 20 pictures on it over two weeks time and right up here about 100 yards I'll literally get 200 pictures turkey deer bear you name it right up there is the spot so once we get some Trails brush hogged I did this last year with the BX and it's going to be tight because there were places where it was real tight even for the BX and I had a four foot brush hog on that one on this LX a little bit a lot bigger tractor actually I've got a five foot brush hog on it but I think I can snake my way back through here and then once you get back there a couple hundred yards there's kind of an opening I think it was kind of like a fire break when they planted these Pines we'll get that all brush hogged I've got a couple mineral blocks with me we'll throw those out put the cameras out and then uh you know over time if we get any decent or interesting pictures I will include them in some videos on occasion but anyway let's fire up the tractor and wander off into the woods this LX has a nice little Storage Tray back here behind the seat I like that along with the cup holder and a little bit more storage right here Plus a little something something up here in the dash that probably won't stay there but uh you get the idea [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right I got out of the tractor I left it up there about uh 100 yards or so and I was walking around trying to figure out where I'm going exactly or where I want to go I do want to get a trail up there to that flat spot on top of that little Hill right there that's The Sweet Spot I was telling you about last year I mowed that down with the BX I'm telling you the animals were like thank you they loved it as soon as I was done mowing they were walking through there that night and from then on so I think what I'll do I will uh on my way back out I'll come right up through here I don't want to just mow all over the place I just want to have a few Trails I'm going to leave this stick right here so I know where I'm at all these trees they kind of look the same and you have to like pick a line where you want to go so that's what I'll do I'll continue out across the main trail when I come back out we'll go up through here and mow up on top of that Hill a little bit oh [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] with all the mowing for now I'm gonna set up this camera some of you guys said uh these spy points were pretty decent I've never had a cellular trail camera before and then when I was at Bass Pro Shops I talked to a guy there and he seemed to like them so that's what we went with I think that's actually pretty good right there all green lights I think that's good I think that's all there is to it we're gonna test it out here so last year after I saw a bunch of uh activity up here I got one of these it's just a mineral Rock from Tractor Supply this is the new one I picked up today but you can see they kind of have the ground uh torn up there so let's go with that see what happens all right I was down in Deep Creek this morning at Tri-State gazebo that will be the next video kind of all over the place here but I'm back up the cabin right now and I have to tell you the Spy Point camera I want to show you what these are now I'm no expert on these there's guys that know everything there is to know about different types of trail cameras but this is the Spy Point Flex and this one is the 33 megapixel one and it works great almost too good to tell you the truth I got just overnight last night probably a hundred pictures uh from three different cameras so I had to turn my notifications off in the middle of the night because my phone kept beeping but I think what I'll do I'll just check it you know once a day or something and I got the unlimited uh number of images it was I think it was a hundred and twenty dollars per year per camera so it's 360 bucks a year and uh but yeah so far I really like it yeah the flex if I can find an Amazon link for one of these I'll put it in the description but there's different types of spy points these are like 80 or 90 bucks uh they've definitely come down quite a bit they probably make their money on the plans like I said 120 bucks a year but still compared to what just a decent trail camera cost a couple years ago these are pretty affordable matter of fact I think it takes better pictures than my Wild games that I bought not a year and a half ago but here on the property I've probably got I don't even know now six or seven cameras in different places some kind of just looking over the cabin some out in the woods and uh but yeah that makes it really handy when you're two and a half hours from home being able to keep your eye on things and uh we'll see what happens but they were hitting that mineral block pretty hard last night that's amazing I'm up there brush hogging last night you know walking around doing different stuff and it wasn't an hour after I left I was getting pictures of deer right there where I was working but anyway right now I'm gonna do a little bit more tractor work before we load up because I have to head back to Tri-State gazebo and then this afternoon early evening I have to pick up Melissa's brother his wife and their kids at the airport in Pittsburgh and Levi's coming down as well because I can't fit them all in my truck and I was gonna drive home and unload everything and go back down the airport but I'm like I can take the tractor in the trailer I mean what are they going to say right I'll put all my stuff in the cab in the bed if they need more room we got plenty of space on the trailer for stuff so that should work good so as I mentioned earlier uh you know the shower house is going to go over there I'm gonna have to clean up that huge pile right there it is definitely not the time to burn it is super dry down here just like it is at home but I am going to start moving some of this dirt right here with the tractor I won't get a lot done but I'll get some of it and it goes on the other side of the cabin and then at some point I'm going to need to get an excavator in here probably find a spot back in the woods there there's a few openings I'm not sure I just can't burn yet in uh you know if we get some rain and I had this opened up in here even if I had that pile pushed back I could pull a little bit out at a time and just have a nice small controlled fire but we'll have to see foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] [Applause] [Applause] all right I was uh I was just kind of starting to get in the groove but I had to get loaded up and get on the road here soon in case I hit some traffic or something but that's actually pretty good topsoil right there uh just a lot of big Roots mixed in with it I'll show you over here on the other side I put a bunch in that low spot right there but this all needs to come up quite a bit uh and I'm debating on whether to put Stone in here right up to the concrete or topsoil the whole way over to the concrete I'm not sure yet we'll have to see but uh yeah pretty good start next time I come down uh you know what would be the ticket right here I always talk about uh land plane versus box blade you can't beat a land plane for uh grading driveways but this would be a nice situation for a box blade here you could kind of just work your way right around the building pull some material with you as you're carrying some with the bucket that would work out pretty good and the brush hog was a little big and long for what I was doing but I didn't want to take it off so I could have that counterweight on the back also I'm sure someone will ask why I didn't just go from there to here because that's a little bit shorter than going all the way around the cabin I think you know the answer that you can't spill dirt on the stone but anyway I think that's it for today's video don't forget I'll put a link for those spy Point cameras in the description and I appreciate y'all being here I really do next stop Pittsburgh International Airport well first I got to go to Tri-State gazebo then to the airport
