Brad in in glorious bastards terrific performance he was amazing in that he he most of the time he's always amazing I mean he's such a talented actor and David Leech you might know him from uh directing movies like Deadpool 2 he also co-directed movies like John Wick and you already know that the action is going to be top-notch in this one it's so cool because you know he started off as a stunt man worked his way up to stunt coordinator and now he's like directing movies you know it's it's always great when people who have actually spent time doing the work and that when they become directors it just the action is just on a completely different tier so I'm I'm hyped man I'm super excited to get this going if you guys want to catch the full length reaction that's going to be a freaking insane film man that was [ __ ] insane I feel like insanity is like the the one perfect word to describe this movie it was it was like everything seemed R oh yeah I want to know I'm alive okay so is he Fu [Laughter] run tell me going to work [ __ ] guess it is okay there's that at least [ __ ] stop no it was him [ __ ] what [Laughter] wow take a [ __ ] B hell yeah my man wow that he got his freaking Revenge hell yeah oh man that was great dude man what a freaking Bonkers movie man what did we just watch yeah this was an insane watch man it was so entertaining to see how you know fate or luck was playing this Wild game and how you know ladybug was just getting away with it constantly by by so little like he was always in trouble but he kept getting away with it which I thought was such an interesting concept to have a character just absorb bad luck he was essentially the opposite of domino from Deadpool yeah so interesting that you know obviously the actress who plays Domino is in Deadpool 2o and she's extremely lucky there and she basically the way she works is that she absorbs everyone's good luck and uses it for herself and during like the whole action sequence where basically she lands on top of this floofy thing and it's so funny that Brad Pit's character who is lucky in this one also lands on top of a floofy thing which saves his life and obviously we also had a cameo by Brad Pit in Deadpool too so I just thought that there were some fun references back and forth there really cool also of course a lot of that DNA from the action that we saw in Deadpool 2 was present here especially with the slow-mo and some of the speed ramps that we did get to see like that you know know when the train finally collides that entire sequence reminded me a lot of you know those slow-mo moments with Deadpool so you know a lot of that Essence was here I found that quite entertaining I really like the Baner between tangerine and lemon I mean Aaron Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry they freaking killed it man they they were really synergic in that way you know as the guy that is so done so impatient he doesn't he doesn't want anything to do with anything at this point and then you know uh lemon with his constant Thomas references yes I thought they were hysterical in this it was a lot of situational humor like it just kind of happens and it's so messed up they just continuously end up in a bad situation and I have to say I thought it was very creative how they chose to structure the story where we got a certain POV what these people were doing how did they end up here you know the in the First Act and we got those povs from everybody and it seems just so random that I I really enjoy the theme of fate in this and how random it can be that all of these people got pulled into this one train for one purpose which is they all have to just essentially kill each other and and how they all just the domino effect of things right I liked how they they structured the film I do have to say I think for the most part the action was was pretty good I do think that there was some pacing issues here and there some moments where it kind of lulled where I think it could have been maybe trimmed a little bit I think the film could have been a solid hour and a half hour and 40 maybe yeah I feel like hour 40 would have been the perfect mark on this yeah there's some moments there where I think it's between Act 2 and three on the tail end of act two you start feeling a little bit of a lull there so that was kind of odd I wish that they would have maybe paced that up just a little bit but overall I thought that the act one and act three end it very strongly you know act one does a great job at setting everything up and you you don't really know where you're going but you kind of have to be ladybug and just let yourself go and enjoy the ride and then by act three all the pieces start to click together it it's such a satisfaction to see those things take place and and where everything starts to click and and why did it matter in the first place culminating with whole Fiji water bottle like I just thought that was so insane my God that was just gold cuz like it's it's those little things like you mentioned in the randomness right the the whole point in the film is either luck or fate whichever way you choose to see it but nothing is random really you know right it all kind of works out in a way and it's just so amazing that those little details that we didn't initially notice we picked up on them but the way it was brought up later on was so smart it's like Brad Pit accidentally getting hit with the antivenom right or you know the way they mentioned the snake in the very beginning and then we see them looking through all the suitcases and accidentally releasing the snake which then in turn led to uh Brad Pit getting the antivenom by accident it's it's all of these things like you said and it was done in such a casual way it wasn't too heavy-handed where it's like one character mentioned something and you're like yep that's cck off's gun right there they're definitely going to bring that up this one had like tiny little bite-sized checkov guns in them and you don't realize that that's what it was and then the ending feel feels so much more rewarding and I love that they also did these jumps back and forth in the point of view and especially when they did the little 10-minute flash back to show us who was behind the Tangerine truck the Tangerine truck lemon got his revenge man that was fantastic man and it's just you know lemon driving the Tangerine truck there's just it's just a beautiful irony I really loved their Dynamic and if that Dynamic hadn't been that strong that ending would not have had that punch love the acting I mean Brad Pit killed it he always kills it I mean so charismatic he was hilarious in this dude in the middle of this chaos just trying to just trying to be really like he's just trying to handle his mission peacefully and I I loved how he was trying he was really really trying not to use any sort of lethal force in this but he just kept killing people it was it was so great to see how talented all of these people are and they really just all contributed to this like Mosaic cake of like just awesomeness and humor and action and it was it was really such a thrill that I don't I don't really like any of the actors really drop the ball at any point you know cuz like sometimes it can feel like someone is overshadowed or they're not given enough time I feel like every single one of them really have their moment to really go 100% and really show us what they got they were so offbeat and then so over the top at the same time like look at zazzy beats like she just kept saying [ __ ] every two seconds and it was so overdone but it works because the film is so self-aware about it that it it's funny it comes across as funny you know there was a bit of that Tarantino esque chaos in this that I also enjoyed where it's like what the hell what the hell is going on here but it makes sense because of the setup the film does have a personality of its own this is quite unique for an action flick it could have been a bit more generic I also like that you know the seconds where the the film did get to enjoy more of that creative aspect in terms of the film making of it certain you know certain shots like the the having the camera completely on its side when Aaron Taylor Johnson's character was walking off the train and having that weird horizontal flare to it and then the POV with the bottle like there's certain imagery I loved how you know it was all lit and color graded for the that cart with the with the zazzy Beats character essentially where she was so a lot of striking really cool visuals in this I do wish that they would have gone a little bit harder on the uniqueness of some of the uh how the action was shot not the action per se I like the action in the in the choreography but I think you know I think he could have pushed himself a little bit further in order to really make these fight sequences have a punch if I'm being completely honest I still think John Wick is the best action film I've ever seen yes that first one has some amazing action sequences and they feel Punchy this one felt a bit more over the top so I don't know if that was maybe a choice by the director to make it a little bit more cartoonish in a way cuz some of those impacts did land and some of it kind of I feel like it could have been more impactful than how it came across in the movie was it I definitely enjoyed the action I definitely have to agree with you with John Wick having a much more intricate fight choreography and I feel like it just hits harder I feel like in this one there were definitely moments where you you felt the violence through the screen right you really felt the stakes for the character but there were some moments where it didn't I feel like they could have tried some riskier moves I understand you know it's a train so you're going to have something more more constricted but again you can kind of make the most of that I'm not saying crazy acrobatics but you know I feel like they could have utilized the space just a little bit more creatively again it it could have been a choice it could have been other restrictions that they had it could have been time it could have been anything else so I'm not too sure I still had a blast and it was so great that you could tell that a lot of the actors were doing most of their own stunts or as many as they were allowed to which I always love I love when actors are like dude teach me I'll I'll gladly do it and it just it makes a difference when you can see that there's not another face superimposed on another person's body you know what I mean I feel like having more of an open space would really allow him to do some crazy [ __ ] like those wild 360s and and crazy anchored shots where they're like set in a specific way and then a character collides against the camera and and you you follow that POV as the camera Falls you know like you can get very very creative with action and I feel like this almost got there you know I feel like it almost had it still though enjoyed the film thought that for what it was it was a very fun Journey this whole thing was absolutely insane had no idea where it was going for you know half of it I'm like what the hell I felt like ladybug around yeah we were just as confused as he was and it worked out perfectly loved again love the cameos I knew I knew we knew that voice Sandra freaking Bullock sander freaking man oh my God it's always such a joy to see her but I did not expect her to actually like the voice to have an actual Cameo on this I know that you did mention it's like I you were asking if the voice was a cameo and I'm like this is the kind of movie where it possibly could be but I didn't expect them to actually show up and they did and it was awesome this was such a great time guys thank you so much for watching this with us we hope that you enjoy and we'll catch you guys in
