I’ve known the 10:1,1:10 ratios for fungi and bacteria in forest versus meadow soil biology. What I didn’t know was that the bacteria content doesn’t decline, it goes up. So converting to forest biology isn’t getting ten times more fungi and 1/10th as many bacteria. It’s getting 100’s of times more fungi.
Dr. Ingham is the best. You can tell she just absolutely loves soil and every little thing in it.
