Building A New Pond In A Valley

look what we have here look at this mess and evolve oh so starting a new job today I'm up here with the 220 I'm going to be doing some stumping this is going to be a new plan build about an acre and a quarter acre acre and a quarter kind of whatever it works out to be in this valley the road is the property line so we can't back up water onto the neighbor's property so these flags but there's at least more in this morning that's marking the water level that we can set the pond at without back and water up onto the like I said the neighbor's land so I'm going to come in here and start taking these stumps up I'll probably go 20 or 30 feet on the uphill side of the pond just to get everything clean so we've got a good working area around it so it's going to start up there come down this valley and kind of see the white flags there and there's some more along that side over there and there goes all the way that big stump right up there so we're looking probably 14 15 feet deep down here and I got a flag right here so it'll curve around I'll probably end up cutting this whole corner off right here and that'll get me some more dirt and it kind of curves around gonna have a Cove up into this valley I don't know where I'll desert went but it washed somewhere so going to use this as a burn hole burn everything in and take all our bad dirt and we'll probably waste it up there in that valley so that all this will be pond it'll curve around let's see and there's a flag right there cover around and the dam will go across down here where those trees are it'll go from that big stump across so Pond Dam will go through there and tie back into the hillside on each side so we'll just take this dirt and put it down there build a dam but first I got to come in here and get all these stumps up I just had it logs I think they had probably I don't know it looks like at least 50 acres okay so let me get in here clean this mess up I'm gonna stand up on the machine and get a little bit of an aerial I forgot to Droon this morning but I'll bring it next time yeah up here definitely gives you a little bit better view so ponds are going to start up here and curve down and around all the way to those trees I got a mess to clean up [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so just after lunch time I've gotten everything stumped from all the way up there all the way down to pretty much I got all the dudes and everything down but that one and I just piled up a road right there over top of what I'd stump and I'll just throw it there so now I've jumped this I guess this is kind of where the coves gonna be I've come across this and I'm kind of going up this little finger right here trying to hit stomps out clean up as I go I get up that old skid trail and then come around the top side of there just I leave a piled up over there and we'll never get the truck up here I can just haul it I'm taking this and throw it in across the ditch way I can just reach it from the other side [Music] slide off and in the next [Music] to clean up all the smaller stuff he's been separated out [Music] please the dirt I mean it's not easy when we've got a six of these dumb Bryl as I go along we're trying to break my rut you know a whole lot of and run off and not make too big of a mess [Music] you loggers like a mess down there although it doesn't contain leave that big of a mess I picked up a log [Music] tired of having to make there ready coming here make a big mess four inches the lower here [Music] that's a Brahminical crisscross a target grab it and we're out there looking at my time the fellow about 1 2 3 he might an oxidant now [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I'm happy with the progress I made today pretty much got though this whole first side stumped everything from right there all the way up to the pipes even though there's doesn't look like it but all those stumps were sitting on where it's already been cleared and I come around over here got all the way up to there down all the way to where the dams gonna go and I just finished up clearing from the center of the ditch down there back up this way so I got all this brush here now Lincoln once the truck gets here and kind of start hauling it over there to be burnt so that's the whole reason for not putting it all in a big pile I can just drop by and grab it with the truck put it in there and haul it over there nice and easily alright gonna call it a day [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
