[Music] but i'm going to go to the vet to get sequin okay i'll just be gone for half an hour [Music] okay andy bye it's time to prepare [Music] i'm gonna get all the cow things [Music] [Music] welcome to little big toys should i wake up time to prepare for the arrival of our new spotted friends this is so exciting we're going to have two new cow puppies stay still you're gonna be wearing your cow shirt there you look so cute chanel hop out i'm going to replace this bed to a cloud design [Music] next i'll get the rest of the cow things we have a lampshade which we made out of water bottles and of course treats this is going to be casting guys back we're here guys sequin and her puppies are here look they're so cute oh my cows which means that she needed a doctor's help delivering her puppies oh i set up a nice cozy spot for them holy cow this is beautiful bug thank you i think we should put sequin on the bed wow i knew it would have a spotted puppy just like here oh this one's pure white why doesn't he have spots sequin is spots how come he doesn't why is he so different it's all about genetics bug oh i know genes does that mean that sequin has a white gene and a spotty gene that's right bug jeans play an important role in determining how we look like eye color skin color height and lots of other stuff about us to answer your question about why one of the puppies do not have spots we need to look at the genetic traits of sequin the mother and taffy who is the father of the puppies i know sequin has a spotted trait and a pure white trait while taffy has a brown trait and a pure white trait and remember each puppy will get half of its traits from the mom and the other half from the dad when they make puppies together we get four possibilities one possible combination is one copy will get the spotted trait from mom and the brown trait from dad which could result in a spotted brown puppy the second possibility is one puppy will get the spotted trait from mom and pure white trait from that this will make a puppy that looks a lot like mommy sequin now the third possibility is one puppy will get the pure white trait from mom and the brown trait from that which could result in a brownish or cream-colored puppy the last possibility is that the puppy will get both of the pure white trait from mom and dad then we will definitely get a pure white puppy just like what we have here genetics are so interesting we can even predict what kind of puppy we get that's right bug do you think there's a gene for giving dogs bangs hey it's time to celebrate sequence first sequence ready for a party are you hungry sequin here have a teeny tiny bone time to start serving the dog cake oh yummy cake oh it's not for you it's made of liver ew this is made for dogs so it won't taste good if we eat this should all you want me to spoon feed you big appetizers [Music] did you finish the whole thing [Music] oh [Music]
